يَٰبَنِىٓ
O bani
ءَادَمَ
Adam!
قَدْ
Indeed
أَنزَلْنَا
We alighted (conceptualized)
عَلَيْكُمْ
upon you
لِبَاسًۭا
clothing as
يُوَٰرِى
covering up of
سَوْءَٰتِكُمْ
your private parts,
وَرِيشًۭا
and as adornments (or shields);
ۖ
وَلِبَاسُ
while an attire of
ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ
being aware,
ذَٰلِكَ
that is
خَيْرٌۭ
better.
ۚ
ذَٰلِكَ
That is
مِنْ
from
ءَايَٰتِ
signs of
ٱللَّهِ
the One
لَعَلَّهُمْ
so that they may
يَذَّكَّرُونَ
remember it.
٧
٢٦
يَٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ قَدْ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ لِبَاسًۭا يُوَٰرِى سَوْءَٰتِكُمْ وَرِيشًۭا ۖ وَلِبَاسُ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌۭ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ O bani Adam! Indeed We alighted (conceptualized) upon you clothing as covering up of your private parts, and as adornments (or shields); while an attire of being aware, that is better. That is from signs of the One so that they may remember it.

O Children of Adam! We have revealed unto you raiment to conceal your shame, and splendid vesture, but the raiment of restraint from evil, that is best. This is of the revelations of Allah, that they may remember. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

[O Children of Adam! We have certainly sent down to you garments to cover your nakedness, and for adornment. Yet the garment of Godwariness—that is the best.] That is [one] of Allah]s signs, so that they may take admonition. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Children of Adam, We have given you clothing to cover your private parts and for beauty, but the robe of piety is the best. Thus is the guidance of God so that you may take heed. - Sarwar, Muhammad

O children of Adam! We have indeed sent down to you clothing to cover your shame, and (clothing) for beauty and clothing that guards (against evil), that is the best. This is of the communications of Allah that they may be mindful. - Shakir, Habib

O children of Adam! We have sent down to you clothes to cover your nakedness, and to be pleasing to the eye; but the raiment of righteousness is the best. That is one of the signs of God. So that people may take heed. - Wahiduddin Khan

اے اولادُ آدم ہم نے تمہارے لئے لباس نازل کیا ہے جس سے اپنی شرمگاہوں کا پردہ کرو اور زینت کا لباس بھی دیا ہے لیکن تقوٰی کا لباس سب سے بہتر ہے یہ بات آیات الٰہیٰہ میں ہے کہ شاید وہ لوگ عبرت حاصل کرسکیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اے اولاد آدم، ہم نے تم پر لباس نازل کیا ہے کہ تمہارے جسم کے قابل شرم حصوں کو ڈھانکے اور تمہارے لیے جسم کی حفاظت اور زینت کا ذریعہ بھی ہو، اور بہترین لباس تقویٰ کا لباس ہے یہ اللہ کی نشانیوں میں سے ایک نشانی ہے، شاید کہ لوگ اس سے سبق لیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اے آدم کی اولاد! بیشک ہم نے تمہاری طرف ایک لباس وہ اُتارا کہ تمہاری شرم کی چیزیں چھپائے اور ایک وہ کہ تمہاری آرائش ہو اور پرہیزگاری کا لباس وہ سب سے بھلا یہ اللہ کی نشانیوں میں سے ہے کہ کہیں وہ نصیحت مانیں، - Ahmed Raza

يَٰبَنِىٓ
O bani
ءَادَمَ
Adam!
لَا
Do not
يَفْتِنَنَّكُمُ
let afflict you
ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ
the incoherant fiend
كَمَآ
as how
أَخْرَجَ
he brought out
أَبَوَيْكُم
your parents
مِّنَ
from
ٱلْجَنَّةِ
the garden,
يَنزِعُ
removed
عَنْهُمَا
from them
لِبَاسَهُمَا
their cover
لِيُرِيَهُمَا
to show to them
سَوْءَٰتِهِمَآ
their hidden aspects;
ۗ
إِنَّهُۥ
indeed he (the fiend),
يَرَىٰكُمْ
watches you
هُوَ
— him
وَقَبِيلُهُۥ
and his group —
مِنْ
from
حَيْثُ
where
لَا
not
تَرَوْنَهُمْ
you watch them;
ۗ
إِنَّا
certainly,
جَعَلْنَا
We have made
ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ
the religious-devils
أَوْلِيَآءَ
friends
لِلَّذِينَ
to the ones who
لَا
don't
يُؤْمِنُونَ
have conviction.
٧
٢٧
يَٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ لَا يَفْتِنَنَّكُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ كَمَآ أَخْرَجَ أَبَوَيْكُم مِّنَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ يَنزِعُ عَنْهُمَا لِبَاسَهُمَا لِيُرِيَهُمَا سَوْءَٰتِهِمَآ ۗ إِنَّهُۥ يَرَىٰكُمْ هُوَ وَقَبِيلُهُۥ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا تَرَوْنَهُمْ ۗ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ أَوْلِيَآءَ لِلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ O bani Adam! Do not let afflict you the incoherant fiend as how he brought out your parents from the garden, removed from them their cover to show to them their hidden aspects; indeed he (the fiend), watches you — him and his group — from where not you watch them; certainly, We have made the religious-devils friends to the ones who don't have conviction.

O Children of Adam! Let not Satan seduce you as he caused your (first) parents to go forth from the Garden and tore off from them their robe (of innocence) that he might manifest their shame to them. Lo! he seeth you, he and his tribe, from whence ye see him not. Lo! We have made the devils protecting friends for those who believe not. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

[O Children of Adam! Do not let Satan tempt you, like he expelled your parents from paradise, stripping them of their garments to expose to them their nakedness. Indeed he sees you—he and his hosts—whence you do not see them. We have indeed made the devils friends of those who have no faith.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Children of Adam, do not let Satan seduce you, as he caused your parents to be expelled from the garden and made them take off their clothes in order to show them their private parts. Satan and those like him see you but you do not see them. We have made the Satans as friends for those who have no faith. - Sarwar, Muhammad

O children of Adam! let not the Shaitan cause you to fall into affliction as he expelled your parents from the garden, pulling off from them both their clothing that he might show them their evil inclinations, he surely sees you, he as well as his host, from whence you cannot see them; surely We have made the Shaitans to be the guardians of those who do not believe. - Shakir, Habib

Children of Adam, do not let Satan seduce you, just as he turned your parents out of the Garden: he deprived them of their garment in order to make them aware of their nakedness. اے بنی آدم، ایسا نہ ہو کہ شیطان تمہیں پھر اُسی طرح فتنے میں مبتلا کر دے جس طرح اس نے تمہارے والدین کو جنت سے نکلوایا تھا اور ا ن کے لباس ان پر سے اتروا دیے تھے تاکہ ان کی شرمگاہیں ایک دوسرے کے سامنے کھولے وہ اور اس کے ساتھی تمہیں ایسی جگہ سے دیکھتے ہیں جہاں سے تم انہیں نہیں دیکھ سکتے اِن شیاطین کو ہم نے اُن لوگوں کا سرپرست بنا دیا ہے جو ایمان نہیں لاتے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اے آدم کی اولاد! خبردار! تمہیں شیطان فتنہ میں نہ ڈالے جیسا تمہارے ماں باپ کو بہشت سے نکالا اتروا دیئے ان کے لباس کہ ان کی شرم کی چیزیں انہیں نظر پڑیں، بیشک وہ اور اس کا کنبہ تمہیں وہاں سے دیکھتے ہیں کہ تم انہیں نہیں دیکھتے بیشک ہم نے شیطانوں کو ان کا دوست کیا ہے جو ایمان نہیں لاتے، - Ahmed Raza

اے اولادِ آدم! (ہوشیار رہنا) کہیں ایسا نہ ہو کہ شیطان تمہیں اسی طرح فتنہ میں مبتلا کر دے جس طرح اس نے تمہارے ماں باپ کو جنت سے نکلوایا تھا۔ اور ان کے جسم سے کپڑے تک اتروا دیئے تھے تاکہ ان کے جسم کے قابلِ ستر حصے ان کو دکھا دے یقینا وہ (شیطان) اور اس کا قبیلہ تمہیں جس طرح اور جہاں سے دیکھتا ہے تم انہیں اس طرح نہیں دیکھ سکتے بے شک ہم نے شیطانوں کو ان کا سرپرست بنایا ہے جو ایمان نہیں رکھتے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And whenever
فَعَلُوا۟
they did
فَٰحِشَةًۭ
an inappropriate act
قَالُوا۟
they said,
وَجَدْنَا
[We found
عَلَيْهَآ
on this
ءَابَآءَنَا
our elders
وَٱللَّهُ
and the One
أَمَرَنَا
has commanded us
بِهَا
about it.]
ۗ
قُلْ
Say,
إِنَّ
[Surely
ٱللَّهَ
the One
لَا
not
يَأْمُرُ
commands
بِٱلْفَحْشَآءِ
about the vulgarity!
ۖ
أَتَقُولُونَ
Or do you declare
عَلَى
upon
ٱللَّهِ
the One
مَا
what
لَا
not
تَعْلَمُونَ
you know?]
٧
٢٨
وَإِذَا فَعَلُوا۟ فَٰحِشَةًۭ قَالُوا۟ وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهَآ ءَابَآءَنَا وَٱللَّهُ أَمَرَنَا بِهَا ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَأْمُرُ بِٱلْفَحْشَآءِ ۖ أَتَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ And whenever they did an inappropriate act they said, [We found on this our elders and the One has commanded us about it.] Say, [Surely the One not commands about the vulgarity! Or do you declare upon the One what not you know?]

And when they do some lewdness they say: We found our fathers doing it and Allah hath enjoined it on us. Say: Allah, verily, enjoineth not lewdness. Tell ye concerning Allah that which ye know not? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When they commit an indecency, they say, [We found our fathers practising it, and Allah has enjoined it upon us.] Say, [Indeed Allah does not enjoin indecencies. Do you attribute to Allah what you do not know?] - Qarai, Ali Quli

When (The faithless) commit indecent acts they say, [We found our fathers doing this and God has commanded us to do the same.] (Muhammad) tell them that God does not command anyone to commit indecency. Do you speak for God, saying things of which you have no knowledge? - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when they commit an indecency they say: We found our fathers doing this, and Allah has enjoined it on us. Say: Surely Allah does not enjoin indecency; do you say against Allah what you do not know? - Shakir, Habib
⦿
And when they commit an indecency, they say, [This is what our fathers used to do and God has enjoined it on us.] Say, [God does not enjoin what is indecent. Would you attribute to God something of which you have no knowledge?] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور یہ لوگ جب کوئی براکام کرتے ہیں تو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم نے آباؤ اجداد کو اسی طریقہ پر پایا ہے اور اللہ نے یہی حکم دیا ہے -آپ فرمادیجئے کہ خدا بری بات کا حکم دے ہی نہیں سکتا ہے کیا تم خدا کے خلاف وہ کہہ رہے ہو جو جانتے بھی نہیں ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یہ لوگ جب کوئی شرمناک کام کرتے ہیں تو کہتے ہیں ہم نے اپنے باپ دادا کو اسی طریقہ پر پایا ہے اور اللہ ہی نے ہمیں ایسا کرنے کا حکم دیا ہے اِن سے کہو اللہ بے حیائی کا حکم کبھی نہیں دیا کرتا کیا تم اللہ کا نام لے کر وہ باتیں کہتے ہو جن کے متعلق تمہیں علم نہیں ہے (وہ اللہ کی طرف سے ہیں)؟ - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جب کوئی بے حیائی کریں تو کہتے ہیں ہم نے اس پر اپنے باپ دادا کو پایا اور اللہ نے ہمیں اس کا حکم دیا تو فرماؤ بیشک اللہ بے حیائی کا حکم نہیں دیتا، کیا اللہ پر وہ بات لگاتے ہو جس کی تمہیں خبر نہیں، - Ahmed Raza

اور جب وہ کوئی بے حیائی کا کام کرتے ہیں تو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم نے اپنے آباء و اجداد کو اسی طریقہ پر پایا ہے اور خدا نے (بھی) ہمیں یہی حکم دیا ہے اے رسول کہیئے کہ یقینا کبھی اللہ بے حیائی کا حکم نہیں دیتا کیا تم اللہ پر ایسی بات کی تہمت لگاتے ہو جو تم نہیں جانتے؟ - Najafi, Muhammad

رَبِّى
my Rabb
بِٱلْقِسْطِ
regarding the fairness,
ۖ
وَأَقِيمُوا۟
and to uphold
وُجُوهَكُمْ
your rationality and reasoning
عِندَ
in front of
كُلِّ
every
مَسْجِدٍۢ
court,
وَٱدْعُوهُ
and call to Him,
مُخْلِصِينَ
being loyal
لَهُ
to Him for
ٱلدِّينَ
the governance system;
ۚ
كَمَا
just like how
بَدَأَكُمْ
you began,
تَعُودُونَ
you will revert.]

٢٩
قُلْ أَمَرَ رَبِّى بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۖ وَأَقِيمُوا۟ وُجُوهَكُمْ عِندَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍۢ وَٱدْعُوهُ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ ۚ كَمَا بَدَأَكُمْ تَعُودُونَ Say, [Commands my Rabb regarding the fairness, and to uphold your rationality and reasoning in front of every court, and call to Him, being loyal to Him for the governance system; just like how you began, you will revert.]

Say: My Lord enjoineth justice. And set your faces upright (toward Him) at every place of worship and call upon Him, making religion pure for Him (only). As He brought you into being, so return ye (unto Him). - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
Say, [My Lord has enjoined justice,] and [He has enjoined,] [Set your heart [on Him] at every occasion of prayer, and invoke Him, putting your exclusive faith in Him. Even as He brought you forth in the beginning, so will you return.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Say, [My Lord has ordered me to maintain justice. (People), pay due attention (when worshipping God). Pray to Him sincerely and be devoted in your religion. Just as He gave you life, He will bring you back to life again (after you die.)] - Sarwar, Muhammad

Say: My Lord has enjoined justice, and set upright your faces at every time of prayer and call on Him, being sincere to Him in obedience; as He brought you forth in the beginning, so shall you also return. - Shakir, Habib

Say, [My Lord has commanded you to act justly. Turn your faces up toward Him at every time and place of worship, and call upon Him, making yourselves sincere towards Him in religion. As He brought you into being, so shall you return.] - Wahiduddin Khan

کہہ دیجئے کہ میرے پروردگار نے انصاف کا حکم دیا ہے اور تم سب ہر نماز کے وقت اپنا رخ سیدھا رکھا کرو اور خدا کو خالص دین کے ساتھ پکارو اس نے جس طرح تمہاری ابتدا کی ہے اسی طرح تم پلٹ کر بھی جاؤ گے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اے محمدؐ، ان سے کہو، میرے رب نے تو راستی و انصاف کا حکم دیا ہے، اور اس کا حکم تو یہ ہے کہ ہر عبادت میں اپنا رخ ٹھیک رکھو اور اُسی کو پکارو اپنے دین کو اس کے لیے خالص رکھ کر جس طرح اُس نے تمہیں اب پیدا کیا ہے اسی طرح تم پھر پیدا کیے جاؤ گے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تم فرماؤ میرے رب نے انصاف کا حکم دیا ہے، اور اپنے منہ سیدھے کرو ہر نماز کے وقت اور اس کی عبادت کرو نرے (خالص) اس کے بندے ہوکر، جیسے اس نے تمہارا آغاز کیا ویسے ہی پلٹو گے - Ahmed Raza

اے رسول(ص) کہو! میرے پروردگار نے مجھے عدل و انصاف کا حکم دیا ہے اور یہ کہ اپنے چہرہ کو سیدھ پر رکھو ہر نماز کے وقت اور اسی کو پکارو دین کو اسی کے لئے خالص کرکے جس طرح اس نے پہلی بار تمہیں پیدا کیا تھا اسی طرح تم (اس کے حضور پلٹ) کر جاؤگے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

A group
هَدَىٰ
that is guided,
وَفَرِيقًا
and a group
حَقَّ
factual
عَلَيْهِمُ
upon whom is
ٱلضَّلَٰلَةُ
the darkness;
ۗ
إِنَّهُمُ
for sure
ٱتَّخَذُوا۟
have adopted
ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ
the religious devils
أَوْلِيَآءَ
as guardians
مِن
from
دُونِ
beneath
ٱللَّهِ
the One
وَيَحْسَبُونَ
and they reckon
أَنَّهُم
that they
مُّهْتَدُونَ
ought to be guided.
٧
٣٠
فَرِيقًا هَدَىٰ وَفَرِيقًا حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلضَّلَٰلَةُ ۗ إِنَّهُمُ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ A group that is guided, and a group factual upon whom is the darkness; for sure have adopted the religious devils as guardians from beneath the One and they reckon that they ought to be guided.

A party hath He led aright, while error hath just hold over (another) party, for lo! they choose the devils for protecting supporters instead of Allah and deem that they are rightly guided. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

A part [of mankind] He has guided and a part has deserved [to be consigned to] error, for they took devils for guardians instead of Allah, and supposed they were guided. - Qarai, Ali Quli

He has guided one group (of people) and the other group go is doomed to astray; the latter group took Satan as their guardian instead of God and thought that they were rightly guided. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Say,
مَنْ
[Who
حَرَّمَ
has forbidden
زِينَةَ
adornment of
ٱللَّهِ
the One
ٱلَّتِىٓ
those which
أَخْرَجَ
have been produced
لِعِبَادِهِۦ
for His servants,
وَٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ
and the good things
مِنَ
from
ٱلرِّزْقِ
the sustenance?]
ۚ
قُلْ
Say,
هِىَ
[These are
لِلَّذِينَ
for the ones who
ءَامَنُوا۟
have conviction
فِى
while in
ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
the life of
ٱلدُّنْيَا
this World,
خَالِصَةًۭ
(but) exclusively (for them)
يَوْمَ
on day of
ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
the establishment.]
ۗ
كَذَٰلِكَ
That is how
نُفَصِّلُ
We explain
ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ
the signs
لِقَوْمٍۢ
to a nation
يَعْلَمُونَ
who wants to be of knowledge.
٧
٣٢
قُلْ مَنْ حَرَّمَ زِينَةَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَخْرَجَ لِعِبَادِهِۦ وَٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ مِنَ ٱلرِّزْقِ ۚ قُلْ هِىَ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا خَالِصَةًۭ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍۢ يَعْلَمُونَ Say, [Who has forbidden adornment of the One those which have been produced for His servants, and the good things from the sustenance?] Say, [These are for the ones who have conviction while in the life of this World, (but) exclusively (for them) on day of the establishment.] That is how We explain the signs to a nation who wants to be of knowledge.

Say: Who hath forbidden the adornment of Allah which He hath brought forth for His bondmen, and the good things of His providing? Say: Such, on the Day of Resurrection, will be only for those who believed during the life of the world. Thus do we detail Our revelations for people who have knowledge. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Say, [Who has forbidden the adornment of Allah which He has brought forth for His servants, and the good things of [His] provision?] Say, [These are for the faithful in the life of this world, and exclusively for them on the Day of Resurrection.] Thus do We elaborate the signs for a people who have knowledge. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), ask them, [Who has made it unlawful to maintain beauty and to eat the pure foods which God has created for His servants? They are made for the believers in this world and are exclusively for them in the life hereafter.] Thus do We explain Our revelations to the people who have knowledge. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Say: Who has prohibited the embellishment of Allah which He has brought forth for His servants and the good provisions? Say: These are for the believers in the life of this world, purely (theirs) on the resurrection day; thus do We make the communications clear for a people who know. - Shakir, Habib

Say, [Who has forbidden the adornment of God, which He has brought forth for His servants and good things, clean and pure, which God has provided for His servants?] Say, [They are [lawful] for the believers in the present life but they shall be exclusively for them on the Day of Resurrection.] Thus We explain Our signs for a people who understand. - Wahiduddin Khan

پیغمبر آپ پوچھئے کہ کس نے اس زینت کو جس کو خدا نے اپنے بندوں کے لئے پیدا کیا ہے اور پاکیزہ رزق کو حرام کردیا ہے ... اور بتائیے کہ یہ چیزیں روزِ قیامت صرف ان لوگوں کے لئے ہیں جو زندگانی دنیا میں ایمان لائے ہیں .ہم اسی طرح صاحبان هعلم کے لئے مفصل آیات بیان کرتے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اے محمدؐ، ان سے کہو کس نے اللہ کی اُس زینت کو حرام کر دیا جسے اللہ نے اپنے بندوں کے لیے نکالا تھا اور کس نے خدا کی بخشی ہوئی پاک چیزیں ممنوع کر دیں؟ کہو، یہ ساری چیزیں دنیا کی زندگی میں بھی ایمان لانے والوں کے لیے ہیں، اور قیامت کے روز تو خالصتاً انہی کے لیے ہوں گی اِس طرح ہم اپنی باتیں صاف صاف بیان کرتے ہیں اُن لوگوں کے لیے جو علم رکھنے والے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تم فرماؤ کس نے حرام کی اللہ کی وہ زینت جو اس نے اپنے بندو ں کے لیے نکالی اور پاک رزق تم فرماؤ کہ وہ ایمان والوں کے لیے ہے دنیا میں اور قیامت میں تو خاص انہی کی ہے، ہم یونہی مفصل آیتیں بیان کرتے ہیں علم والوں کے لیے - Ahmed Raza

(اے رسول ان لوگوں سے) کہو کہ اللہ کی زیب و زینت کو جو اس نے اپنے بندوں کے لئے پیدا کی ہے کس نے حرام کیا ہے؟ اور کھانے کی اچھی اور پاکیزہ غذاؤں کو (کس نے حرام کیا ہے؟)! وہ تو دراصل ہیں ہی اہلِ ایمان کے لئے دنیوی زندگی میں بھی اور خاص کر قیامت کے دن تو خالص انہی کے لئے ہیں۔ اسی طرح ہم اپنی آیتوں کو تفصیل کے ساتھ بیان کرتے ہیں ان لوگوں کے لئے جو علم رکھتے ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَمَا
and that which are
بَطَنَ
hidden,
وَٱلْإِثْمَ
and the offense
وَٱلْبَغْىَ
and rebellion
بِغَيْرِ
without
ٱلْحَقِّ
the fact,
وَأَن
and that
تُشْرِكُوا۟
you make partners
بِٱللَّهِ
with the One
مَا
that which
لَمْ
not has
يُنَزِّلْ
He descended
بِهِۦ
for it
سُلْطَٰنًۭا
any authority,
وَأَن
and that
تَقُولُوا۟
you say
عَلَى
upon
ٱللَّهِ
the One
مَا
what
لَا
not
تَعْلَمُونَ
you know.

٣٣
قُلْ إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ رَبِّىَ ٱلْفَوَٰحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ وَٱلْإِثْمَ وَٱلْبَغْىَ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ وَأَن تُشْرِكُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِۦ سُلْطَٰنًۭا وَأَن تَقُولُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ Say, [Assuredly what has forbidden my Rabb are the vulgarities, that which are evident thereof and that which are hidden, and the offense and rebellion without the fact, and that you make partners with the One that which not has He descended for it any authority, and that you say upon the One what not you know.

Say: My Lord forbiddeth only indecencies, such of them as are apparent and such as are within, and sin and wrongful oppression, and that ye associate with Allah that for which no warrant hath been revealed, and that ye tell concerning Allah that which ye know not. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Say, [My Lord has only forbidden indecencies, the outward among them and the inward ones, and sin and undue aggression, and that you should ascribe to Allah partners for which He has not sent down any authority, and that you should attribute to Allah what you do not know.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), tell them, [My Lord has only prohibited indecent acts committed in public or in secret, all sins, unjust rebellion, considering things equal to God without any heavenly authority, and speaking for God without having any knowledge (of what He has said).] - Sarwar, Muhammad

Say: My Lord has only prohibited indecencies, those of them that are apparent as well as those that are concealed, and sin and rebellion without justice, and that you associate with Allah that for which He has not sent down any authority, and that you say against Allah what you do not know. - Shakir, Habib

Say,[My Lord has forbidden indecency, both open and hidden, sin and wrongful oppression and that, without His sanction, you associate things with Him, and that you say things about Him without knowledge. - Wahiduddin Khan

کہہ دیجئے کہ ہمارے پروردگار نے صرف بدکاریوں کو حرام کیا ہے چاہے وہ ظاہری ہوں یا باطنی .... اور گناہ اور ناحق ظلم اور بلادلیل کسی چیز کو خدا کا شریک بنانے اور بلاجانے بوجھے کسی بات کو خدا کی طرف منسوب کرنے کو حرام قرار دیا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اے محمدؐ، اِن سے کہو کہ میرے رب نے جو چیزیں حرام کی ہیں وہ تو یہ ہیں: بے شرمی کے کام خواہ کھلے ہوں یا چھپے اور گناہ اور حق کے خلاف زیادتی اور یہ کہ اللہ کے ساتھ تم کسی کو شریک کرو جس کے لیے اُس نے کوئی سند نازل نہیں کی اور یہ کہ اللہ کے نام پر کوئی ایسی بات کہو جس کے متعلق تمہیں علم نہ ہو کہ وہ حقیقت میں اسی نے فرمائی ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

And every nation hath its term, and when its term cometh, they cannot put it off an hour nor yet advance (it). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

عَلَيْهِمْ

يَحْزَنُونَ

يَٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ إِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ رُسُلٌۭ مِّنكُمْ يَقُصُّونَ عَلَيْكُمْ ءَايَٰتِى ۙ فَمَنِ ٱتَّقَىٰ وَأَصْلَحَ فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

O Children of Adam! When messengers of your own come unto you who narrate unto you My revelations, then whosoever refraineth from evil and amendeth - there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

O Children of Adam! If there come to you apostles from among yourselves, recounting to you My signs, then those who are Godwary and righteous will have no fear, nor will they grieve. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Children of Adam, when Messengers from among your own people come to you to preach My revelations, those who choose piety and reform themselves will have nothing to fear nor will they be grieved. - Sarwar, Muhammad

O children of Adam! if there come to you apostles from among you relating to you My communications, then whoever shall guard (against evil) and act aright-- they shall have no fear nor shall they grieve. - Shakir, Habib

(اور یہ بات اللہ نے آغاز تخلیق ہی میں صاف فرما دی تھی کہ) اے بنی آدم، یاد رکھو، اگر تمہارے پاس خود تم ہی میں سے ایسے رسول آئیں جو تمہیں میری آیات سنا رہے ہوں، تو جو کوئی نافرمانی سے بچے گا اور اپنے رویہ کی اصلاح کر لے گا اس کے لیے کسی خوف اور رنج کا موقع نہیں ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اے آدم کی اولاد! اگر تمہارے پاس تم میں کے رسول آئیں میری آیتیں پڑھتے تو جو پرہیزگاری کرے اور سنورے تو اس پر نہ کچھ خوف اور نہ کچھ غم، - Ahmed Raza

وَٱلَّذِينَ
And the ones who
كَذَّبُوا۟
lie
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
about our signs,
وَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟
and flaunt their arrogance
عَنْهَآ
about them,
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
those are
أَصْحَٰبُ
companions of
ٱلنَّارِ
the fire;
ۖ
هُمْ
they
فِيهَا
therein
خَٰلِدُونَ
will be living.
٧
٣٦
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ عَنْهَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ And the ones who lie about our signs, and flaunt their arrogance about them, those are companions of the fire; they therein will be living.
⦿
But they who deny Our revelations and scorn them - each are rightful owners of the Fire; they will abide therein. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

But those who deny Our signs and are disdainful of them, they shall be the inmates of the Fire and they shall remain in it [forever]. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
But those who have rejected Our revelations out of pride will be the dwellers of hell fire wherein they will live forever. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And (as for) those who reject Our communications and turn away from them haughtily-- these are the inmates of the fire they shall abide in it. - Shakir, Habib

But those who deny and scorn Our revelations shall be the inmates of Hell, where they shall remain forever. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جن لوگوں نے ہماری آیات کی تکذیب کی اور اکڑ گئے وہ سب جہّنمی ہیں اور اسی میں ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور جو لوگ ہماری آیات کو جھٹلائیں گے اور ان کے مقابلہ میں سرکشی برتیں گے وہی اہل دوزخ ہوں گے جہاں وہ ہمیشہ رہیں گے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جنہوں نے ہماری آیتیں جھٹلائیں اور ان کے مقابل تکبر کیا وہ دوز خی ہیں انہیں اس میں ہمیشہ رہنا، - Ahmed Raza

اور جو لوگ ہماری آیتوں کو جھٹلائیں گے اور ان کے مقابلہ میں تکبر کریں گے وہی لوگ جہنم والے ہوں گے جو اس میں ہمیشہ ہمیشہ رہیں گے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
