يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
O you
ٱلنَّبِىُّ
the revolutionary Leader!
ٱتَّقِ
Be aware of
ٱللَّهَ
the One,
وَلَا
and do not
تُطِعِ
obey
ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
the denying people
وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ
and the hypocrites;
ۗ
إِنَّ
certainly
ٱللَّهَ
the One
كَانَ
has been
عَلِيمًا
of knowledge,
حَكِيمًۭا
of wisdom.
٣٣
١
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِىُّ ٱتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ وَلَا تُطِعِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًۭا O you the revolutionary Leader! Be aware of the One, and do not obey the denying people and the hypocrites; certainly the One has been of knowledge, of wisdom.

O Prophet! Keep thy duty to Allah and obey not the disbelievers and the hypocrites. Lo! Allah is Knower, Wise. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

O Prophet! Be wary of Allah and do not obey the faithless and the hypocrites. Indeed Allah is all-knowing, all-wise. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Prophet, have fear of God and do not yield to the infidels and hypocrites. God is All-knowing and All-wise. - Sarwar, Muhammad

O Prophet! be careful of (your duty to) Allah and do not comply with (the wishes of) the unbelievers and the hypocrites; surely Allah is Knowing, Wise; - Shakir, Habib

O Prophet, have fear of God and do not yield to those who deny the truth and the hypocrites. God is all-knowing and all-wise. - Wahiduddin Khan

اے پیغمبر خدا سے ڈرتے رہئیے اور خبردار کافروں اور منافقوں کی اطاعت نہ کیجئے گا یقینا اللہ ہر شے کا جاننے والا اور صاحب ه حکمت ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اے نبیؐ! اللہ سے ڈرو اور کفار و منافقین کی اطاعت نہ کرو، حقیقت میں علیم اور حکیم تو اللہ ہی ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اے غیب کی خبریں بتانے والے (نبی) اللہ کا یوں ہی خوف رکھنا اور کافروں اور منافقوں کی نہ سننا بیشک اللہ علم و حکمت والا ہے، - Ahmed Raza

اے نبی! اللہ سے ڈرتے رہیں اور کافروں اور منافقوں کی اطاعت نہ کریں۔ بے شک اللہ بڑا جاننے والا، بڑا حکمت والا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَٱتَّبِعْ
And adhere to
مَا
what
يُوحَىٰٓ
is inspired
إِلَيْكَ
to you
مِن
from
رَّبِّكَ
your Rabb;
ۚ
إِنَّ
certainly
ٱللَّهَ
the One
كَانَ
has been
بِمَا
with what
تَعْمَلُونَ
you do
خَبِيرًۭا
well reported.
And adhere to what is inspired to you from your Rabb; certainly the One has been with what you do well reported.
⦿
And follow that which is inspired in thee from thy Lord. Lo! Allah is Aware of what ye do. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

اور جو کچھ آپ کے پروردگار کی طرف سے وحی کی جاتی ہے اسی کا اتباع کرتے رہیں کہ اللہ تم لوگوں کے اعمال سے خوب باخبر ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پیروی کرو اُس بات کی جس کا اشارہ تمہارے رب کی طرف سے تمہیں کیا جا رہا ہے، اللہ ہر اُس بات سے باخبر ہے جو تم لوگ کرتے ہو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اس کی پیروی رکھنا جو تمہارے رب کی طرف سے تمہیں وحی ہوتی ہے، اے لوگو! اللہ تمہارے کام دیکھ رہا ہے، - Ahmed Raza

اور جو کچھ آپ کے پروردگار کی طرف سے آپ کو وحی کی جاتی ہے اس کی پیروی کریں بے شک تم لوگ جو کچھ کرتے ہو اللہ اس سے خوب باخبر ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And rely

as an advocate.
And rely upon the One; and be sufficient with the One as an advocate.

And put thy trust in Allah, for Allah is sufficient as Trustee. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And put your trust in Allah; Allah suffices as trustee. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Trust in God and be sure that He is a Sufficient Guardian. - Sarwar, Muhammad

اور اپنے خدا پر اعتماد کیجئے کہ وہ نگرانی کے لئے بہت کافی ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ٱلسَّبِيلَ

مَّا جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ لِرَجُلٍۢ مِّن قَلْبَيْنِ فِى جَوْفِهِۦ ۚ وَمَا جَعَلَ أَزْوَٰجَكُمُ ٱلَّٰٓـِٔى تُظَٰهِرُونَ مِنْهُنَّ أُمَّهَٰتِكُمْ ۚ وَمَا جَعَلَ أَدْعِيَآءَكُمْ أَبْنَآءَكُمْ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ قَوْلُكُم بِأَفْوَٰهِكُمْ ۖ وَٱللَّهُ يَقُولُ ٱلْحَقَّ وَهُوَ يَهْدِى ٱلسَّبِيلَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Allah hath not assigned unto any man two hearts within his body, nor hath He made your wives whom ye declare (to be your mothers) your mothers, nor hath He made those whom ye claim (to be your sons) your sons. This is but a saying of your mouths. But Allah saith the truth and He showeth the way. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Allah has not put two hearts within any man, nor has He made your wives whom you repudiate by zihar your mothers, nor has he made your adopted sons your [actual] sons. These are mere utterances of your mouths. But Allah speaks the truth and He guides to the [right] way. - Qarai, Ali Quli

God has not created two hearts inside any one human being. God does not consider your wives whom you renounce by zihar as your mothers nor those whom you adopt as your sons. These are only words of your mouth. God tells the Truth and shows the right path. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Allah has not made for any man two hearts within him; nor has He made your wives whose backs you liken to the backs of your mothers as your mothers, nor has He made those whom you assert to be your sons your real sons; these are the words of your mouths; and Allah speaks the truth and He guides to the way. - Shakir, Habib

God has not placed two hearts in any man's body, nor has He made your wives -- from whom you keep away by saying, [Be as my mother's back] -- your [real] mothers, neither He has made your adopted sons as your own sons. These are merely words which you utter with your mouths: but God speaks the truth and gives guidance to the right path. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور اللہ نے کسی مرد کے سینے میں دو دل نہیں قرار دیئے ہیں اور تمہاری وہ بیویاں جن سے تم ا ظہار کرتے ہو انہیں تمہاری واقعی ماں نہیں قرار دیا ہے اور نہ تمہاری منہ بولی اولاد کواولادقرار دیا ہے یہ سب تمہاری زبانی باتیں ہیں اور اللہ تو صرف حق کی بات کہتا ہے اور سیدھے راستے کی طرف ہدایت کرتا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اللہ نے کسی شخص کے دھڑ میں دو دِل نہیں رکھے ہیں، نہ اس نے تم لوگوں کی اُن بیویوں کو جن سے تم ظہار کرتے ہو تمہاری ماں بنا دیا ہے، اور نہ اس نے تمہارے منہ بولے بیٹوں کو تمہارا حقیقی بیٹا بنایا ہے یہ تو وہ باتیں ہیں جو تم لوگ اپنے منہ سے نکال دیتے ہو، مگر اللہ وہ بات کہتا ہے جو مبنی بر حقیقت ہے، اور وہی صحیح طریقے کی طرف رہنمائی کرتا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اللہ نے کسی آدمی کے اندر دو دل نہ رکھے اور تمہاری ان عورتوں کو جنہیں تم کے برابر کہہ دو تمہاری ماں نہ بنایا اور نہ تمہارے لے پالکوں کو تمہارا بیٹا بنایا یہ تمہارے اپنے منہ کا کہنا ہے اور اللہ حق فرماتا ہے اور وہی راہ دکھاتا ہے - Ahmed Raza

اور اللہ نے کسی مرد کے سینہ میں دو دل نہیں بنائے اور نہ ہی تمہاری ان بیویوں کو تمہاری مائیں بنایا ہے جن سے تم ظہار کرتے ہو اور نہ ہی اس نے تمہارے منہ بولے بیٹوں کو تمہارا (حقیقی) بیٹا بنایا ہے اور وہی (سیدھے) راستے کی ہدایت کرتا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

ٱدْعُوهُمْ لِـَٔابَآئِهِمْ هُوَ أَقْسَطُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ فَإِن لَّمْ تَعْلَمُوٓا۟ ءَابَآءَهُمْ فَإِخْوَٰنُكُمْ فِى ٱلدِّينِ وَمَوَٰلِيكُمْ ۚ وَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌۭ فِيمَآ أَخْطَأْتُم بِهِۦ وَلَٰكِن مَّا تَعَمَّدَتْ قُلُوبُكُمْ ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًۭا رَّحِيمًا [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Proclaim their real parentage. That will be more equitable in the sight of Allah. And if ye know not their fathers, then (they are) your brethren in the faith, and your clients. And there is no sin for you in the mistakes that ye make unintentionally, but what your hearts purpose (that will be a sin for you). Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Call them after their fathers. That is more just with Allah. If you do not know their fathers, then they are your brethren in the faith and your kinsmen. Excepting what your hearts may intend deliberately, there will be no sin upon you for any mistake that you may make therein. And Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Call them sons of their own fathers. It is more just in the eyes of God. If you do not know their fathers, they are your brothers and friends in religion. You will not be responsible for your mistakes, but you will be responsible for what you do intentionally. God is All-forgiving and All-merciful. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Assert their relationship to their fathers; this is more equitable with Allah; but if you do not know their fathers, then they are your brethren in faith and your friends; and there is no blame on you concerning that in which you made a mistake, but (concerning) that which your hearts do purposely (blame may rest on you), and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. - Shakir, Habib

Call them after their own fathers; that is closer to justice in the sight of God. If you do not know their fathers, regard them as your brothers in faith and your proteges. You will not be blamed if you make a mistake, you will be held accountable only for what in your hearts you have done intentionally. God is forgiving and merciful. - Wahiduddin Khan

ان بچوں کو ان کے باپ کے نام سے پکارو کہ یہی خدا کی نظر میں انصاف سے قریب تر ہے اور اگر ان کے باپ کو نہیں جانتے ہو تو یہ دین میں تمہارے بھائی اور دوست ہیں اور تمہارے لئے اس بات میں کوئی حرج نہیں ہے جو تم سے غلطی ہوگئی ہے البتہ تم اس بات کے ضرور ذمہ دار ہو جو تمہارے دلوں سے قصداانجام دی ہے اور اللہ بہت بخشنے والا اور مہربان ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

منہ بولے بیٹوں کو ان کے باپوں کی نسبت سے پکارو، یہ اللہ کے نزدیک زیادہ منصفانہ بات ہے اور اگر تمہیں معلوم نہ ہو کہ ان کے باپ کون ہیں تو وہ تمہارے دینی بھائی اور رفیق ہیں نا دانستہ جو بات تم کہو اس کے لیے تم پر کوئی گرفت نہیں ہے، لیکن اُس بات پر ضرور گرفت ہے جس کا تم دل سے ارادہ کرو اللہ درگزر کرنے والا اور رحیم ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

انہیں ان کے باپ ہی کا کہہ کر پکارو یہ اللہ کے نزدیک زیادہ ٹھیک ہے پھر اگر تمہیں ان کے باپ معلوم نہ ہوں تو دین میں تمہارے بھائی ہیں اور بشریت میں تمہارے چچا زاد اور تم پر اس میں کچھ گناہ نہیں جو نا دانستہ تم سے صادر ہوا ہاں وہ گناہ ہے جو دل کے قصد سے کرو اور اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے، - Ahmed Raza

ان (منہ بولے بیٹوں) کو ان کے (حقیقی) باپوں کے نام سے پکارا کرو۔ یہ بات اللہ کے نزدیک زیادہ قرینِ انصاف ہے اور اگر تمہیں ان کے (حقیقی) باپوں کا علم نہ ہو تو پھر وہ تمہارے دینی بھائی اور تمہارے دوست ہیں اور تم سے جو بھول چوک ہو جائے اس کا تم پر کوئی گناہ نہیں ہے۔ ہاں البتہ (گناہ اس پر ہے) جو تم دل سے ارادہ کرکے کرو۔ اور اللہ بڑا بخشنے والا (اور) رحم کرنے والا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

ٱلنَّبِىُّ أَوْلَىٰ بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ ۖ وَأَزْوَٰجُهُۥٓ أُمَّهَٰتُهُمْ ۗ وَأُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْأَرْحَامِ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلَىٰ بِبَعْضٍۢ فِى كِتَٰبِ ٱللَّهِ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُهَٰجِرِينَ إِلَّآ أَن تَفْعَلُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَوْلِيَآئِكُم مَّعْرُوفًۭا ۚ كَانَ ذَٰلِكَ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مَسْطُورًۭا [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

The Prophet is closer to the believers than their selves, and his wives are (as) their mothers. And the owners of kinship are closer one to another in the ordinance of Allah than (other) believers and the fugitives (who fled from Mecca), except that ye should do kindness to your friends. The blood relatives are more entitled to inherit from one another in the Book of Allah than the [other] faithful and Emigrants, barring any favour you may do your comrades. بلاشبہ نبی تو اہل ایمان کے لیے اُن کی اپنی ذات پر مقدم ہے، اور نبی کی بیویاں اُن کی مائیں ہیں، مگر کتاب اللہ کی رو سے عام مومنین و مہاجرین کی بہ نسبت رشتہ دار ایک دوسرے کے زیادہ حقدار ہیں، البتہ اپنے رفیقوں کے ساتھ تم کوئی بھلائی (کرنا چاہو تو) کر سکتے ہو یہ حکم کتاب الٰہی میں لکھا ہوا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

And when We exacted a covenant from the prophets, and from thee (O Muhammad) and from Noah and Abraham and Moses and Jesus son of Mary. We took from them a solemn covenant; - Pickthall, Marmaduke

[Recall] when We took a pledge from the prophets, and from you and from Noah and Abraham and Moses and Jesus son of Mary, and We took from them a solemn pledge, - Qarai, Ali Quli

اوراس وقت کو یاد کیجئے جب ہم نے تمام انبیائ علیھ السّلامسے اور بالخصوص آپ سے اور نوح علیھ السّلام, ابراہیم علیھ السّلام ,موسیٰ علیھ السّلام اور عیسٰی بن علیھ السّلام مریم سے عہد لیا اور سب سے بہت سخت قسم کا عہد لیا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور (اے نبیؐ) یاد رکھو اُس عہد و پیمان کو جو ہم نے سب پیغمبروں سے لیا ہے، تم سے بھی اور نوحؑ اور ابراہیمؑ اور موسیٰؑ اور عیسیٰؑ ابن مریم سے بھی سب سے ہم پختہ عہد لے چکے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

That He may ask the loyal of their loyalty. And He hath prepared a painful doom for the unfaithful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

This was a firm agreement. God will ask the truthful ones about their truthfulness and prepare a painful torment for the disbelievers. - Sarwar, Muhammad

O ye who believe! Remember Allah's favour unto you when there came against you hosts, and We sent against them a great wind and hosts ye could not see. And Allah is ever Seer of what ye do. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

O you who have faith! Remember Allah]s blessing upon you when the hosts came at you, and We sent against them a gale and hosts whom you did not see, and Allah sees best what you do. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Believers, recall God's favor to you when the army attacked you. We sent a wind and the armies, which you did not see, to support you. God sees all that you do. - Sarwar, Muhammad

اے لوگو، جو ایمان لائے ہو، یاد کرو اللہ کے احسان کو جو (ابھی ابھی) اُس نے تم پر کیا ہے جب لشکر تم پر چڑھ آئے تو ہم نے اُن پر ایک سخت آندھی بھیج دی اور ایسی فوجیں روانہ کیں جو تم کو نظر نہ آتی تھیں اللہ وہ سب کچھ دیکھ رہا تھا جو تم لوگ اس وقت کر رہے تھے - Maududi, Abul A'ala
