يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
O you of
ٱلنَّاسُ
the people!
ٱتَّقُوا۟
Be aware of
رَبَّكُمْ
your Rabb.
ۚ
إِنَّ
Certainly
زَلْزَلَةَ
the shaking of
ٱلسَّاعَةِ
the hour
شَىْءٌ
is a thing
عَظِيمٌۭ
that is mighty.
O you of the people! Be aware of your Rabb. Certainly the shaking of the hour is a thing that is mighty.
⦿
O mankind! Fear your Lord. Lo! the earthquake of the Hour (of Doom) is a tremendous thing. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

O mankind! Be wary of your Lord! Indeed the quake of the Hour is a terrible thing. - Qarai, Ali Quli

People, have fear of your Lord; the quake (of the physical realm) at the Hour of Doom will be terribly violent. - Sarwar, Muhammad

O people! guard against (the punishment from) your Lord; surely the violence of the hour is a grievous thing. - Shakir, Habib

O People! Fear your Lord. The catastrophe of the Last Hour shall be terrible indeed: - Wahiduddin Khan

يَوْمَ تَرَوْنَهَا تَذْهَلُ كُلُّ مُرْضِعَةٍ عَمَّآ أَرْضَعَتْ وَتَضَعُ كُلُّ ذَاتِ حَمْلٍ حَمْلَهَا وَتَرَى ٱلنَّاسَ سُكَٰرَىٰ وَمَا هُم بِسُكَٰرَىٰ وَلَٰكِنَّ عَذَابَ ٱللَّهِ شَدِيدٌۭ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

On the day when ye behold it, every nursing mother will forget her nursling and every pregnant one will be delivered of her burden, and thou (Muhammad) wilt see mankind as drunken, yet they will not be drunken, but the Doom of Allah will be strong (upon them). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

The day that you will see it, every suckling female will be unmindful what she suckled, and every pregnant female will deliver her burden, and you will see the people drunk, yet they will not be drunken, but Allah]s punishment is severe. - Qarai, Ali Quli

When that hour comes, every breast-feeding mother will drop her baby out of fear and every pregnant female will cast off her burden. You will see the people behaving as though they were drunk, while, in fact, they are not drunk. They only will look such because of the severity of God's torment. - Sarwar, Muhammad

On the day when you shall see it, every woman giving suck shall quit in confusion what she suckled, and every pregnant woman shall lay down her burden, and you shall see men intoxicated, and they shall not be intoxicated but the chastisement of Allah will be severe. - Shakir, Habib

when that Day comes, every suckling mother shall forsake her infant and every pregnant woman shall cast her burden and everyone will appear intoxicated, although they are not: the punishment of God will be severe indeed. - Wahiduddin Khan

جس دن تم دیکھو گے کہ دودھ پلانے والی عورتیں اپنے دودھ پیتے بچوّں سے غافل ہوجائیں گی اور حاملہ عورتیں اپنے حمل کو گرادیں گی اور لوگ نشہ کی حالت میں نظر آئیں گے حالانکہ وہ بدمست نہیں ہوں گے بلکہ اللہ کا عذاب ہی بڑا سخت ہوگا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

جس روز تم اسے دیکھو گے، حال یہ ہو گا کہ ہر دودھ پلانے والی اپنے دودھ پیتے بچّے سے غافل ہو جائے گی، ہر حاملہ کا حمل گر جائے گا، اور لوگ تم کو مدہوش نظر آئیں گے، حالانکہ وہ نشے میں نہ ہوں گے، بلکہ اللہ کا عذاب ہی کچھ ایسا سخت ہوگا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

جس دن تم اسے دیکھو گے ہر دودھ پلانے والی اپنے دودھ پیتے کو بھول جائے گی اور ہر گابھ اپنا گابھ ڈال دے گی اور تو لوگوں کو دیکھے گا جیسے نشہ میں ہیں اور نشہ میں نہ ہوں گے مگر ہے یہ کہ اللہ کی مار کڑی ہے، - Ahmed Raza

جس دن تم اسے دیکھوگے کہ ہر دودھ پلانے والی (ماں) اس (بچہ) سے غافل ہو جائے گی جسے وہ دودھ پلاتی ہے اور ہر حاملہ عورت اپنا حمل گرا دے گی۔ اور تم لوگوں کو نشہ میں مدہوش دیکھوگے۔ حالانکہ وہ نشہ میں مدہوش نہیں ہوں گے۔ مگر اللہ کا عذاب بڑا سخت ہوگا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And from
ٱلنَّاسِ
the people are
مَن
those who
يُجَٰدِلُ
make controversy
فِى
in
ٱللَّهِ
the One
بِغَيْرِ
without
عِلْمٍۢ
knowledge,
وَيَتَّبِعُ
and obey
كُلَّ
every
شَيْطَٰنٍۢ
religious devil
مَّرِيدٍۢ
rebelliously.
٢٢
٣
وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يُجَٰدِلُ فِى ٱللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۢ وَيَتَّبِعُ كُلَّ شَيْطَٰنٍۢ مَّرِيدٍۢ And from the people are those who make controversy in the One without knowledge, and obey every religious devil rebelliously.

Among mankind is he who disputeth concerning Allah without knowledge, and followeth each froward devil; - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Among the people are those who dispute about Allah without any knowledge, and follow every froward devil, - Qarai, Ali Quli

Some people argue about God without knowledge and follow every rebellious devil. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And among men there is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge and follows every rebellious Shaitan; - Shakir, Habib

Yet there are some who dispute about God without having any knowledge and they follow every rebellious devil, - Wahiduddin Khan

اور لوگوں میں کچھ ایسے بھی ہیں جو بغیر جانے بوجھے خدا کے بارے میں جھگڑا کرتے ہیں اور ہر سرکش شیطان کا اتباع کرلیتے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

بعض لوگ ایسے ہیں جو عِلم کے بغیر اللہ کے بارے میں بحثیں کرتے ہیں اور ہر شیطان سرکش کی پیروی کرنے لگتے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور کچھ لوگ وہ ہیں کہ اللہ کے معاملہ میں جھگڑتے ہیں بے جانے بوجھے، اور ہر سرکش شیطان کے پیچھے ہو لیتے ہیں - Ahmed Raza

اور لوگوں میں سے کچھ ایسے بھی ہیں کہ جو اللہ کے بارے میں علم کے بغیر کج بحثی کرتے ہیں اور سرکش شیطان کی پیروی کرتے ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

كُتِبَ
It is decreed
عَلَيْهِ
upon him (Shaitan)
أَنَّهُۥ
that,
مَن
whoever
تَوَلَّاهُ
turned to him
فَأَنَّهُۥ
then he will
يُضِلُّهُۥ
deceive him (that person),
وَيَهْدِيهِ
and will guide him
إِلَىٰ
towards
عَذَابِ
a suffering of
ٱلسَّعِيرِ
the mania.
٢٢
٤
كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِ أَنَّهُۥ مَن تَوَلَّاهُ فَأَنَّهُۥ يُضِلُّهُۥ وَيَهْدِيهِ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ It is decreed upon him (Shaitan) that, whoever turned to him then he will deceive him (that person), and will guide him towards a suffering of the mania.

For him it is decreed that whoso taketh him for friend, he verily will mislead him and will guide him to the punishment of the Flame. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

about whom it has been decreed that he will mislead those who take him for an ally, and conduct them toward the punishment of the Blaze. - Qarai, Ali Quli

It has been decided that satan will mislead and submit anyone who establishes friendship with him to the torment of the burning fire. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
Against him it is written down that whoever takes him for a friend, he shall lead him astray and conduct him to the chastisement of the burning fire. - Shakir, Habib

it has been decreed concerning anyone whom he befriends, that he shall mislead him and guide him to the punishment of the Fire. - Wahiduddin Khan

ان کے بارے میں یہ لکھ دیا گیا ہے کہ جو شیطان کو اپنا دوست بنائے گا شیطان اسے گمراہ کردے گا اور پھر جہنمّ کے عذاب کی طرف رہنمائی کردے گا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

حالانکہ اُس کے تو نصیب ہی میں یہ لکھا ہے کہ جو اس کو دوست بنائے گا اسے وہ گمراہ کر کے چھوڑے گا اور عذاب جہنّم کا راستہ دکھائے گا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

جس پر لکھ دیا گیا ہے کہ جو اس کی دوستی کرے گا تو یہ ضرور اسے گمراہ کردے گا اور اسے عذاب دوزخ کی راہ بتائے گا - Ahmed Raza

جس (مردود) کے بارے میں لکھا جا چکا ہے کہ جو کوئی اس کو دوست بنائے گا وہ ضرور اسے گمراہ کرے گا۔ اور اسے بھڑکتی ہوئی آگ کے عذاب کا راستہ دکھائے گا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمْ فِى رَيْبٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْبَعْثِ فَإِنَّا خَلَقْنَٰكُم مِّن تُرَابٍۢ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍۢ ثُمَّ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍۢ ثُمَّ مِن مُّضْغَةٍۢ مُّخَلَّقَةٍۢ وَغَيْرِ مُخَلَّقَةٍۢ لِّنُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ ۚ وَنُقِرُّ فِى ٱلْأَرْحَامِ مَا نَشَآءُ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّۭى ثُمَّ نُخْرِجُكُمْ طِفْلًۭا ثُمَّ لِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟ أَشُدَّكُمْ ۖ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُتَوَفَّىٰ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰٓ أَرْذَلِ ٱلْعُمُرِ لِكَيْلَا يَعْلَمَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ عِلْمٍۢ شَيْـًۭٔا ۚ وَتَرَى ٱلْأَرْضَ هَامِدَةًۭ فَإِذَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْهَا ٱلْمَآءَ ٱهْتَزَّتْ وَرَبَتْ وَأَنۢبَتَتْ مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍۭ بَهِيجٍۢ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

O mankind! if ye are in doubt concerning the Resurrection, then lo! We have created you from dust, then from a drop of seed, then from a clot, then from a little lump of flesh shapely and shapeless, that We may make (it) clear for you. And We cause what We will to remain in the wombs for an appointed time, and afterward We bring you forth as infants, then (give you growth) that ye attain your full strength. And among you there is he who dieth (young), and among you there is he who is brought back to the most abject time of life, so that, after knowledge, he knoweth naught. And thou (Muhammad) seest the earth barren, but when We send down water thereon, it doth thrill and swell and put forth every lovely kind (of growth). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

O people! If you are in doubt about the resurrection, [consider that] We created you from dust, then from a drop of [seminal] fluid, then from a clinging mass, then from a fleshy tissue, partly formed and partly unformed, so that We may manifest [Our power] to you. We lodge in the wombs whatever [fetus] We wish for a specified term, then We bring you forth as infants, then [We rear you] so that you may come of age. [Then] there are some of you who are taken away, and there are some of you who are relegated to the nethermost age, such that he knows nothing after [having possessed] some knowledge. And you see the earth torpid, yet when We send down water upon it, it stirs and swells, and grows every delightful kind [of plant]. - Qarai, Ali Quli

People, if you have doubts about the Resurrection, you must know that We created you from clay that was turned into a living germ. This was developed into a clot of blood, which was made into a well formed and partly shapeless lump of flesh. This is how We show you that resurrection is not more difficult for Us than your creation. We cause whatever We want to stay in the womb for an appointed time, We then take you out of the womb as a baby, so that you may grow up and receive strength. Some of you may then die and others may grow to a very old age and lose your memory. You may see the earth as a barren land, but when we send rain, it starts to stir and swell and produce various pairs of attractive herbs. - Sarwar, Muhammad

O people! if you are in doubt about the raising, then surely We created you from dust, then from a small seed, then from a clot, then from a lump of flesh, complete in make and incomplete, that We may make clear to you; and We cause what We please to stay in the wombs till an appointed time, then We bring you forth as babies, then that you may attain your maturity; and of you is he who is caused to die, and of you is he who is brought back to the worst part of life, so that after having knowledge he does not know anything; and you see the earth sterile land, but when We send down on it the water, it stirs and swells and brings forth of every kind a beautiful herbage. - Shakir, Habib

O people! If you are in doubt about the Resurrection, remember that We first created you from dust, then from a sperm drop, then from clotted blood, then a lump of flesh, both shaped and unshaped, so that We might manifest to you [Our power]. We cause what We will to stay in the womb for an appointed time, then We bring you forth as infants and then We cause you to grow and reach full growth. Then, some of you will pass away early in life, while some of you will reach extreme old age in which they will know nothing of what they once knew. You see the earth, dead and barren, but no sooner do We send down rain upon it than it begins to stir and swell, and produce every kind of luxuriant vegetation: - Wahiduddin Khan

اے لوگو اگر تمہیں دوبارہ اٹھائے جانے میں شبہ ہے تو یہ سمجھ لو کہ ہم نے ہی تمہیں پہلے خاک سے بنایا ہے پھر نطفہ سے پھر جمے ہوئے خون سے پھر گوشت کے لوتھڑے سے جس میں سے کوئی مکمل ہوجاتا ہے اور کوئی ناقص ہی رہ جاتا ہے تاکہ ہم تمہارے اوپر اپنی قدرت کو واضح کردیں ہم جس چیز کو جب تک چاہتے ہیں رحم میں رکھتے ہیں اس کے بعد تم کو بچہ بناکر باہر لے آتے ہیں پھر زندہ رکھتے ہیں تاکہ جوانی کی عمر تک پہنچ جاؤ اور پھر تم میں سے بعض کو اٹھالیا جاتا ہے اور بعض کو پست ترین عمر تک باقی رکھا جاتا ہے تاکہ علم کے بعد پھر کچھ جاننے کے قابل نہ رہ جائے اور تم زمین کو مردہ دیکھتے ہو پھر جب ہم پانی برسادیتے ہیں تو وہ لہلہانے لگتی ہے اور ابھرنے لگتی ہے اور ہر طرح کی خوبصورت چیز اگانے لگتی ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

لوگو، اگر تمہیں زندگی بعد موت کے بارے میں کچھ شک ہے تو تمہیں معلوم ہو کہ ہم نے تم کو مٹی سے پیدا کیا ہے، پھر نطفے سے، پھر خون کے لوتھڑے سے، پھر گوشت کی بوٹی سے جو شکل والی بھی ہوتی ہے اور بے شکل بھی (یہ ہم اس لیے بتا رہے ہیں) تاکہ تم پر حقیقت واضح کر دیں ہم جس (نطفے) کو چاہتے ہیں ایک وقت خاص تک رحموں میں ٹھیرائے رکھتے ہیں، پھر تم کو ایک بچّے کی صورت میں نکال لاتے ہیں (پھر تمہیں پرورش کرتے ہیں) تاکہ تم اپنی پُوری جوانی کو پہنچو اور تم میں سے کوئی پہلے ہی واپس بلا لیا جاتا ہے اور کوئی بدترین عمر کی طرف پھیر دیا جاتا ہے تاکہ سب کچھ جاننے کے بعد پھر کچھ نہ جانے اور تم دیکھتے ہو کہ زمین سوکھی پڑی ہے، پھر جہاں ہم نے اُس پر مینہ برسایا کہ یکایک وہ پھبک اٹھی اور پھول گئی اور اس نے ہر قسم کی خوش منظر نباتات اگلنی شروع کر دی - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اے لوگو! اگر تمہیں قیامت کے دن جینے میں کچھ شک ہو تو یہ غور کرو کہ ہم نے تمہیں پیدا کیا مٹی سے پھر پانی کی بوند سے پھر خون کی پھٹک سے (ف پھر گوشت کی بوٹی سے نقشہ بنی اور بے بنی تاکہ ہم تمہارے لیے اپنی نشانیاں ظاہر فرمائیں اور ہم ٹھہرائے رکھتے ہیں ماؤں کے پیٹ میں جسے چاہیں ایک مقرر میعاد تک پھر تمہیں نکالتے ہیں بچہ پھر اس لیے کہ تم اپنی جوانی کو پہنچو اور تم میں کوئی پہلے ہی مرجاتا ہے اور کوئی سب میں نکمی عمر تک ڈالا جاتا ہے کہ جاننے کے بعد کچھ نہ جانے اور تو زمین کو دیکھے مرجھائی ہوئی پھر جب ہم نے اس پر پانی اتارا تر و تازہ ہوئی اور ابھر آئی اور ہر رونق دار جوڑا اُگا لائی - Ahmed Raza

اے لوگو! اگر تمہیں (دوبارہ) اٹھائے جانے میں شک ہے تو (اس میں تو کوئی شک نہیں کہ) ہم نے تمہیں مٹي سے پیدا کیا ہے پھر نطفہ سے، پھر جمے ہوئے خون سے، پھر گوشت کے لوتھڑے سے جو متشکل (مکمل تخلیق والا) بھی ہوتا ہے اور غیر متشکل (نامکمل تخلیق والا) بھی۔ اور یہ اس لئے ہے کہ ہم تم پر (اپنی قدرت کی کار فرمائی) واضح کریں اور ہم جس (نطفے) کو چاہتے ہیں ایک مقررہ مدت تک رحموں میں ٹھہرائے رکھتے ہیں پھر تمہیں بچے کی صورت میں باہر نکالتے ہیں پھر (تمہاری پرورش کرتے ہیں) تاکہ اپنی پوری قوت کی منزل (جوانی) تک پہنچو۔ پھر تم میں سے بعض کو تو (بڑھاپے سے پہلے) اٹھا لیا جاتا ہے اور بعض کو پست ترین عمر کی طرف لوٹا دیا جاتا ہے تاکہ جاننے کے بعد کچھ نہ جانے اور تم دیکھتے ہو کہ زمین خشک پڑی ہے تو جب ہم اس پر پانی برساتے ہیں تو وہ لہلہانے اور ابھرنے لگتی ہے اور ہر قسم کی خوشنما نباتات اگاتی ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

That is
بِأَنَّ
due to doing of
ٱللَّهَ
the One;
هُوَ
He who is
ٱلْحَقُّ
the fact,
وَأَنَّهُۥ
and it is that He
يُحْىِ
gives life to
ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ
the dead,
وَأَنَّهُۥ
and it is that He
عَلَىٰ
over
كُلِّ
all
شَىْءٍۢ
things is
قَدِيرٌۭ
assigner of value.

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَأَنَّهُۥ يُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَأَنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ That is due to doing of the One; He who is the fact, and it is that He gives life to the dead, and it is that He over all things is assigner of value.

ٱلْقُبُورِ

And certainly the hour is coming; no doubt in it, and that the One is to bring out who are in the graves.

having guidance,
وَلَا
and not
كِتَٰبٍۢ
having a book
مُّنِيرٍۢ
that is illuminating.
And from the people is that who creates controversy in matter of the One without knowledge and not having guidance, and not having a book that is illuminating.

And among mankind is he who disputeth concerning Allah without knowledge or guidance or a scripture giving light, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Among the people are those who dispute concerning Allah without any knowledge or guidance, or an enlightening Book, - Qarai, Ali Quli

Turning away in pride to beguile (men) from the way of Allah. For him in this world is ignominy, and on the Day of Resurrection We make him taste the doom of burning. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

بِظَلَّٰمٍۢ
with injustice
لِّلْعَبِيدِ
to the ones who serve Him.
That is due to what put forward your hands and certainly the One is not with injustice to the ones who serve Him.

(And unto him it will be said): This is for that which thy two hands have sent before, and because Allah is no oppressor of His slaves. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
