فَسِيحُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍۢ وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّكُمْ غَيْرُ مُعْجِزِى ٱللَّهِ ۙ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مُخْزِى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Travel freely in the land four months, and know that ye cannot escape Allah and that Allah will confound the disbelievers (in His Guidance). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Travel [unmolested] in the land for four months, but know that you cannot frustrate Allah, and that Allah shall disgrace the faithless. - Qarai, Ali Quli

However, during the four sacred months, they (pagans) may travel peacefully through the land. Know (pagans) that you cannot make God helpless, but it is God who has the power to disgrace the unbelievers. - Sarwar, Muhammad

وَأَذَٰنٌۭ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦٓ إِلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَوْمَ ٱلْحَجِّ ٱلْأَكْبَرِ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ بَرِىٓءٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ ۙ وَرَسُولُهُۥ ۚ فَإِن تُبْتُمْ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكُمْ ۖ وَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّكُمْ غَيْرُ مُعْجِزِى ٱللَّهِ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And a proclamation from Allah and His messenger to all men on the day of the Greater Pilgrimage that Allah is free from obligation to the idolaters, and (so is) His messenger. So, if ye repent, it will be better for you; but if ye are averse, then know that ye cannot escape Allah. Give tidings (O Muhammad) of a painful doom to those who disbelieve, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

[This is] an announcement from Allah and His Apostle to all the people on the day of the greater Hajj: that Allah and His Apostle repudiate the polytheists: If you repent that is better for you; but if you turn your backs [on Allah], know that you cannot frustrate Allah, and inform the faithless of a painful punishment - Qarai, Ali Quli

This Announcement from God and His Messenger is to be made to the people on the day of the great Pilgrimage; God and His Messenger have declared no amnesty for the pagans. If you (pagans) repent, it would be better for you, but if you turn away (from God), know that you cannot make God helpless. (Muhammad) tell the unbelievers that a painful punishment has been prepared for them. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And an announcement from Allah and His Apostle to the people on the day of the greater pilgrimage that Allah and His Apostle are free from liability to the idolaters; therefore if you repent, it will be better for you, and if you turn back, then know that you will not weaken Allah; and announce painful punishment to those who disbelieve. - Shakir, Habib

This is a proclamation from God and His Messenger to the people on the day of the Pilgrimage, that God is free of all obligation to the polytheists, and so is His Messenger. If you repent, it will be better for you, but if you turn away, then know that you cannot frustrate the plan of God. اور اللہ و رسول کی طرف سے حج اکبر کے دن انسانوں کے لئے اعلانِ عام ہے کہ اللہ اور اس کے رسول دونوں مشرکین سے بیزار ہیں لہذا اگر تم توبہ کرلو گے تو تمہارے حق میں بہتر ہے اور اگر انحراف کیا تو یاد رکھنا کہ تم اللہ کو عاجز نہیں کرسکتے ہو اور پیغمبر آپ کافروں کو دردناک عذاب کی بشارت دے دیجئے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اطلاع عام ہے اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی طرف سے حج اکبر کے دن تمام لوگوں کے لیے کہ اللہ مشرکین سے بری الذمہ ہے اور اُس کا رسول بھی اب اگر تم لوگ توبہ کر لو تو تمہارے ہی لیے بہتر ہے اور جو منہ پھیرتے ہو تو خوب سمجھ لو کہ تم اللہ کو عاجز کرنے والے نہیں ہو اور اے نبیؐ، انکار کرنے والوں کو سخت عذاب کی خوشخبری سنا دو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور منادی پکار دیتا اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی طرف سے سب لوگوں میں بڑے حج کے دن کہ اللہ بیزار ہے، مشرکوں سے اور اس کا رسول تو اگر تم توبہ کرو تو تمہا را بھلا ہے اور اگر منہ پھیرو تو جان لو کہ اللہ کو نہ تھکا سکو گے اور کافروں کو خوشخبری سناؤ دردناک عذاب کی، - Ahmed Raza

اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی طرف سے تمام لوگوں کو حجِ اکبر والے دن اعلانِ عام ہے کہ اللہ اور اس کا رسول مشرکین سے بری و بیزار ہیں۔ اب اگر تم (کفر و شرارت سے) توبہ کرلو تو یہ تمہارے لئے بہتر ہے اور اگر تم نے اس سے روگردانی کی تو پھر جان لو کہ تم اللہ کو عاجز نہیں کر سکتے اور (اے نبی) کافروں کو دردناک عذاب کی خوش خبری سنا دو۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ عَٰهَدتُّم مِّنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَنقُصُوكُمْ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَمْ يُظَٰهِرُوا۟ عَلَيْكُمْ أَحَدًۭا فَأَتِمُّوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِمْ عَهْدَهُمْ إِلَىٰ مُدَّتِهِمْ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Excepting those of the idolaters with whom ye (Muslims) have a treaty, and who have since abated nothing of your right nor have supported anyone against you. (As for these), fulfil their treaty to them till their term. Lo! Allah loveth those who keep their duty (unto Him). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

(barring the polytheists with whom you have made a treaty, and who did not violate any [of its terms] with you, nor backed anyone against you. So fulfill the treaty with them until [the end of] its term. Indeed Allah loves the Godwary). - Qarai, Ali Quli

This does not apply to the pagans with whom you have a valid peace treaty and who have not broken it from their side or helped others against you. You (believers) must fulfill the terms of the peace treaty with them. God loves the pious ones. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Except those of the idolaters with whom you made an agreement, then they have not failed you in anything and have not backed up any one against you, so fulfill their agreement to the end of their term; surely Allah loves those who are careful (of their duty). - Shakir, Habib

As for those who have honoured the treaty you made with them and who have not supported anyone against you: fulfill your agreement with them to the end of their term. God loves those who are righteous. - Wahiduddin Khan

علاوہ ان افراد کے جن سے تم مسلمانوں نے معاہدہ کررکھا ہے اور انہوں نے کوئی کوتاہی نہیں کی ہے اور تمہارے خلاف ایک دوسرے کی مدد نہیں کی ہے تو چار مہینے کے بجائے جو مدّت طے کی ہے اس وقت تک عہد کو پورا کرو کہ خدا تقویٰ اختیار کرنے والوں کو دوست رکھتا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

بجز اُن مشرکین کے جن سے تم نے معاہد ے کیے پھر انہوں نے اپنے عہد کو پورا کرنے میں تمہارے ساتھ کوئی کمی نہیں کی اور نہ تمہارے خلاف کسی کی مدد کی، تو ایسے لوگوں کے ساتھ تم بھی مدت معاہدہ تک وفا کرو کیونکہ اللہ متقیوں ہی کو پسند کرتا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

مگر وہ مشرک جن سے تمہارہ معاہدہ تھا پھر انہوں نے تمہارے عہد میں کچھ کمی نہیں کی اور تمہارے مقابل کسی کو مدد نہ دی تو ان کا عہد ٹھہری ہوئی مدت تک پورا کرو، بیشک اللہ پرہیزگاروں کو دوست رکھتا ہے، - Ahmed Raza

سوا ان مشرکوں کے کہ جن سے تم نے معاہدہ کیا تھا اور انہوں نے (اپنا قول و قرار نبھانے میں) کوئی کمی نہیں کی اور نہ تمہارے خلاف کسی کی امداد کی سو تم ان سے کیا ہوا معاہدہ اس کی مقررہ مدت تک پورا کرو۔ بے شک اللہ پرہیزگاروں کو دوست رکھتا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

فَإِذَا ٱنسَلَخَ ٱلْأَشْهُرُ ٱلْحُرُمُ فَٱقْتُلُوا۟ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ حَيْثُ وَجَدتُّمُوهُمْ وَخُذُوهُمْ وَٱحْصُرُوهُمْ وَٱقْعُدُوا۟ لَهُمْ كُلَّ مَرْصَدٍۢ ۚ فَإِن تَابُوا۟ وَأَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَوُا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ فَخَلُّوا۟ سَبِيلَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Then, when the sacred months have passed, kill the polytheists wherever you find them, capture them and besiege them, and lie in wait for them at every ambush. But if they repent, and maintain the prayer and give the zakat, then let them alone. Indeed Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful. - Qarai, Ali Quli

How can there be a treaty with Allah and with His messenger for the idolaters save those with whom ye made a treaty at the Inviolable Place of Worship? So long as they are true to you, be true to them. Lo! Allah loveth those who keep their duty. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

How (can there be any treaty for the others) when, if they have the upper hand of you, they regard not pact nor honour in respect of you? They satisfy you with their mouths the while their hearts refuse. And most of them are wrongdoers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

How could God and His Messenger grant them (pagans) peace when if they were to acquire superiority over you, they would respect none of the peace treaties nor their kindred relations with you! مگر اِن کے سوا دوسرے مشرکین کے ساتھ کوئی عہد کیسے ہوسکتا ہے جبکہ اُن کا حال یہ ہے کہ تم پر قابو پا جائیں تو نہ تمہارے معاملہ میں کسی قرابت کا لحاظ کریں نہ کسی معاہدہ کی ذمہ داری کا وہ اپنی زبانوں سے تم کو راضی کرنے کی کوشش کرتے ہیں مگر دل ان کے انکار کرتے ہیں اور ان میں سے اکثر فاسق ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala
