Say: I find not in that which is revealed unto me aught prohibited to an eater that he eat thereof, except it be carrion, or blood poured forth, or swineflesh - for that verily is foul - or the abomination which was immolated to the name of other than Allah. But whoso is compelled (thereto), neither craving nor transgressing, (for him) lo! thy Lord is Forgiving, Merciful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Say, [I do not find in what has been revealed to me that anyone be forbidden to eat anything except carrion or spilt blood, or the flesh of swine—for that is indeed unclean—or an impiety offered to other than Allah.] But should someone be compelled, without being rebellious or aggressive, indeed your Lord is all-forgiving, all-merciful. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), tell them, [I do not find anything which has been made unlawful to eat in what has been revealed to me except carrion, blood flowing from the body, pork [for pork is absolutely filthy] and the flesh of the animals slaughtered without the mention of the name of God. However, in an emergency, when one does not have any intention of rebelling or transgressing against the law, your Lord will be All-forgiving and All-merciful. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Say: I do not find in that which has been revealed to me anything forbidden for an eater to eat of except that it be what has died of itself, or blood poured forth, or flesh of swine-- for that surely is unclean-- or that which is a transgression, other than (the name of) Allah having been invoked on it; but whoever is driven to necessity, not desiring nor exceeding the limit, then surely your Lord is Forgiving, Merciful. - Shakir, Habib

Say [O Prophet], [In all that has been revealed to me, I do not find a ban on anything to eat, except for carrion, flowing blood and pork, all these being unclean or profane, on which the name of someone other than God has been invoked.] But if anyone is forced by necessity, being neither disobedient nor exceeding the limit, then surely your Lord is most forgiving and merciful. - Wahiduddin Khan

آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ میں اپنی طرف آنے والی وحی میں کسی بھی کھانے والے کے لئے کوئی حرام نہیں پاتا مگر یہ کہ مفِدار ہو یا بہایا ہوا خون یا سور کا گوشت ہوکہ یہ سب نجس اور گندگی ہے یا وہ نافرمانی ہو جسے غیر خد اکے نام پر ذبح کیا گیا ہو .... اس کے بعد بھی کوئی مجبور ہوجائے اور نہ سرکش ہو نہ حد سے تجاوز کرنے والا تو پروردگار بڑا بخشنے والا مہربان ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اے محمدؐ! ان سے کہو کہ جو وحی تمہارے پاس آئی ہے اس میں تو میں کوئی چیز ایسی نہیں پاتا جو کسی کھانے والے پر حرام ہو، الا یہ کہ وہ مُردار ہو، یا بہایا ہوا خون ہو، یاسور کا گوشت ہو کہ وہ ناپاک ہے، یا فسق ہو کہ اللہ کے سوا کسی اور کے نام پر ذبح کیا گیا ہو پھر جو شخص مجبوری کی حالت میں (کوئی چیز اِن میں سے کھا لے) بغیر اس کے کہ وہ نافرمانی کا ارادہ رکھتا ہو اور بغیر اس کے کہ وہ حد ضرورت سے تجاوز کرے، تو یقیناً تمہارا رب در گزر سے کام لینے والا اور رحم فرمانے والا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تم فرماؤ میں نہیں پاتا اس میں جو میری طرف وحی ہوئی کسی کھانے والے پر کوئی کھانا حرام مگر یہ کہ مردار ہو یا رگوں کا بہتا خون یا بد جانور کا گوشت وہ نجاست ہے یا وہ بے حکمی کا جانور جس کے ذبح میں غیر خدا کا نام پکارا گیا تو جو ناچار ہوا نہ یوں کہ آپ خواہش کرے اور نہ یوں کہ ضرورت سے بڑھے تو بے شیک اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے - Ahmed Raza

کہہ دیجئے جو وحی میرے پاس آئی ہے میں اس میں کوئی چیز ایسی نہیں پاتا جو کھانے والے پر حرام ہو سوا اس کے کہ مردار ہو یا بہایا ہوا خون ہو یا سور کا گوشت ہو یہ سب رجس اور گندگی ہے یا پھر فسق ہو (نافرمانی کا ذریعہ ہو یعنی) جو اللہ کے سوا کسی اور نام پر ذبح کیا گیا ہو (یا غیر اللہ کے لیے نامزد کیا گیا ہو) ہاں البتہ اگر کوئی مجبور ہو جائے جبکہ وہ نہ باغی و سرکش ہو اور نہ ہی حد سے تجاوز کرنے والا ہو تو یقینا تمہارا پروردگار بڑا بخشنے والا بڑا رحم کرنے والا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
