The Bounties [ 6:137 ] الأنعام

وَكَذَٰلِكَ

زَيَّنَ

لِكَثِيرٍۢ

مِّنَ

[untranslated]

ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ

[untranslated]

قَتْلَ

[untranslated]

أَوْلَٰدِهِمْ

شُرَكَآؤُهُمْ

[untranslated]

لِيُرْدُوهُمْ

[untranslated]

وَلِيَلْبِسُوا۟

[untranslated]

عَلَيْهِمْ

[untranslated]

دِينَهُمْ

[untranslated]

وَلَوْ

[untranslated]

شَآءَ

[untranslated]

ٱللَّهُ

مَا

فَعَلُوهُ

فَذَرْهُمْ

وَمَا

يَفْتَرُونَ

١٣٧

وَكَذَٰلِكَ زَيَّنَ لِكَثِيرٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ قَتْلَ أَوْلَٰدِهِمْ شُرَكَآؤُهُمْ لِيُرْدُوهُمْ وَلِيَلْبِسُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ دِينَهُمْ ۖ وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مَا فَعَلُوهُ ۖ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَ

⦿

Thus have their (so-called) partners (of Allah) made the killing of their children to seem fair unto many of the idolaters, that they may ruin them and make their faith obscure for them. Had Allah willed (it otherwise), they had not done so. So leave them alone with their devices.

That is how to most of the polytheists the slaying of their children is presented as decorous by those whom they ascribe as partners [to Allah], that they may ruin them and confound their religion for them. Had Allah wished, they would not have done it. So leave them with what they fabricate.

To many of the pagans, the murder of their children was made to seem attractive by the idols. This led them (the pagans) to confusion in their religion and to face their own destruction. Had God wanted, they would not have murdered their children. Keep away from them and their evil gains.

And thus their associates have made fair seeming to most of the polytheists the killing of their children, that they may cause them to perish and obscure for them their religion; and if Allah had pleased, they would not have done it, therefore leave them and that which they forge.

And in like manner, their associate gods have made killing their children seem fair to many pagans, so that they may ruin them and cause confusion in their religion. Had God pleased, they would not have done so; so leave them to their false inventions.

اور اسی طرح ان شریکوں نے بہت سے مشرکین کے لئے اولاد کے قتل کو بھی آراستہ کردیا ہے تاکہ ان کو تباہ و برباد کردیں اور ان پر دین کو مشتبہ کردیں حالانکہ خدا اس کے خلاف چاہ لیتا تو یہ کچھ نہیں کرسکتے تھے لہذا آپ ان کو ان کی افترا پردازیوں پر چھوڑ دیں اور پریشان نہ ہوں

اور اسی طرح بہت سے مشرکوں کے لیے ان کے شریکوں نے اپنی اولاد کے قتل کو خوشنما بنا دیا ہے تاکہ ان کو ہلاکت میں مبتلا کریں اور ان پر ان کے دین کو مشتبہ بنا دیں اگر اللہ چاہتا تو یہ ایسا نہ کرتے، لہٰذا انہیں چھوڑ دو کہ اپنی افترا پرداز یوں میں لگے رہیں

اور یوں ہی بہت مشرکوں کی نگاہ میں ان کے شریکوں نے اولاد کا قتل بھلا کر دکھایا ہے کہ انہیں ہلاک کریں اور ان کا دین اُن پر مشتبہ کردیں اور اللہ چاہتا تو ایسا نہ کرتے تو تم انہیں چھوڑ دو وہ ہیں اور ان کے افتراء،

اور اسی طرح بہت سے مشرکوں کے لیے ان کے شریکوں نے ان کی اولاد کے قتل کرنے کو خوشنما بنا رکھا ہے تاکہ (انجامِ کار) انہیں تباہ کریں اور ان کے دین و مذہب کو ان پر مشتبہ کریں اگر اللہ (اپنی قدرتِ قاہرہ سے) چاہتا تو یہ ایسا نہ کرتے لہٰذا انہیں چھوڑیے اور ان کی افترا پردازیوں کو۔ (تاکہ وہ ان میں لگے رہیں)

١٣٨

وَقَالُوا۟ هَٰذِهِۦٓ أَنْعَٰمٌۭ وَحَرْثٌ حِجْرٌۭ لَّا يَطْعَمُهَآ إِلَّا مَن نَّشَآءُ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَأَنْعَٰمٌ حُرِّمَتْ ظُهُورُهَا وَأَنْعَٰمٌۭ لَّا يَذْكُرُونَ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا ٱفْتِرَآءً عَلَيْهِ ۚ سَيَجْزِيهِم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ

⦿

And they say: Such cattle and crops are forbidden. No-one is to eat of them save whom we will - in their make-believe - cattle whose backs are forbidden, cattle over which they mention not the name of Allah. (All that is) a lie against Him. He will repay them for that which they invent.

⦿

And they say, [These cattle and tillage are a taboo: none may eat them except whom we please,] so they maintain, and there are cattle whose backs are forbidden and cattle over which they do not mention Allah]s Name, fabricating a lie against Him. Soon He will requite them for what they used to fabricate.

⦿

They, (the pagans), have said that their cattle and farms are dedicated to private idols and that no one can consume (the produce) except those whom We wanted, in their opinion. They prohibited the riding of certain animals and they ate the flesh of certain animals slaughtered without a mention of the Name of God. Instead, they ascribed falsehood to Him. They will all be given an evil recompense for their sinful invention.

And they say: These are cattle and tilth prohibited, none shall eat them except such as We please-- so they assert-- and cattle whose backs are forbidden, and cattle on which they would not mention Allah's name-- forging a lie against Him; He shall requite them for what they forged.

They also say, [These animals and these crops are forbidden. None may eat them except those we permit.] So they claim! There are some animals they exempt from labour and some over which they do not pronounce God's name, thus committing a sin against Him. He will requite them for the falsehoods they invent.

اور یہ لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ یہ جانور اور کھیتی اچھوتی ہے اسے ان کے خیالات کے مطابق وہی کھاسکتے ہیں جن کے بارے میں وہ چاہیں گے اور کچھ چوپائے ہیں جن کی پیٹھ حرام ہے اور کچھ چوپائے جن کو ذبح کرتے وقت نام خدا بھی نہیں لیا گیا اور سب کی نسبت خدا کی طرف دے رکھی ہے عنقریب ان تمام بہتانوں کا بدلہ انہیں دیا جائے گا

کہتے ہیں یہ جانور اور یہ کھیت محفوظ ہیں، ا نہیں صرف وہی لوگ کھا سکتے ہیں جنہیں ہم کھلانا چاہیں، حالانکہ یہ پابندی ان کی خود ساختہ ہے پھر کچھ جانور ہیں جن پر سواری اور بار برداری حرام کر دی گئی ہے اور کچھ جانور ہیں جن پر اللہ کا نام نہیں لیتے، اور یہ سب کچھ انہوں نے اللہ پر افترا کیا ہے، عنقریب اللہ انہیں ان افترا پرداز یوں کا بدلہ دے گا

اور بولے یہ مویشی اور کھیتی روکی ہوئی ہے اسے وہی کھائے جسے ہم چاہیں اپنے جھوٹے خیال سے اور کچھ مویشی ہیں جن پر چڑھنا حرام ٹھہرایا اور کچھ مویشی کے ذبح پر اللہ کا نام نہیں لیتے یہ سب اللہ پر جھوٹ باندھنا ہے، عنقریب وہ انہیں بدلے دے گا ان کے افتراؤں کا،

اور وہ اپنی خام خیالی سے کہتے ہیں کہ یہ چوپائے اور کھیت ممنوع ہیں انہیں کوئی نہیں کھا سکتا مگر وہ جسے ہم چاہیں اور جو کچھ چوپائے ہیں جن کی پشت پر سواری اور باربرداری کو حرام قرار دے دیا گیا ہے اور کچھ چوپائے ایسے ہیں جن پر وہ اللہ کا نام نہیں لیتے اور یہ سب کچھ انہوں نے اللہ پر افترا پردازی کرتے ہوئے کیا ہے عنقریب اللہ انہیں ان کی افترا پردازی کا بدلہ دے گا۔

وَقَالُوا۟ مَا فِى بُطُونِ هَٰذِهِ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ خَالِصَةٌۭ لِّذُكُورِنَا وَمُحَرَّمٌ عَلَىٰٓ أَزْوَٰجِنَا ۖ وَإِن يَكُن مَّيْتَةًۭ فَهُمْ فِيهِ شُرَكَآءُ ۚ سَيَجْزِيهِمْ وَصْفَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌۭ

⦿

And they say: That which is in the bellies of such cattle is reserved for our males and is forbidden to our wives; but if it be born dead, then they (all) may be partakers thereof. He will reward them for their attribution (of such ordinances unto Him). Lo, He is Wise, Aware.

⦿

And they say, [That which is in the bellies of these cattle is exclusively for our males and forbidden to our wives. But if it be still-born, they will all share it.] Soon He will requite them for their allegations. Indeed, He is all-wise, all-knowing.

They have also said, [Whatever exists in the wombs of these animals belongs to our people alone and it is not lawful for our women.] However, if they are born dead, then everyone will have a share. God will give them what they deserve for (their unjust laws). God is All-merciful and All-knowing.

And they say: What is in the wombs of these cattle is specially for our males, and forbidden to our wives, and if it be stillborn, then they are all partners in it; He will reward them for their attributing (falsehood to Allah); surely He is Wise, Knowing.

اور کہتے ہیں کہ ان چوپاؤں کے پیٹ میں جو بچے ّہیں وہ صرف ہمارے مذِدوں کے لئے ہیں اور عورتوں پر حرام ہیں -ہاں اگر مفِدار ہوں تو سب شریک ہوں گے ,عنقریب خدا ان بیانات کا بدلہ دے گا کہ وہ صاحب هحکمت بھی ہے اور سب کا جاننے والا بھی ہے

اور کہتے ہیں کہ جو کچھ ان جانوروں کے پیٹ میں ہے یہ ہمارے مردوں کے لیے مخصوص ہے اور ہماری عورتوں پر حرام، لیکن اگر وہ مُردہ ہو تو دونوں اس کے کھانے میں شریک ہو سکتے ہیں یہ باتیں جو انہوں نے گھڑ لی ہیں ان کا بدلہ اللہ انہیں دے کر رہے گا یقیناً وہ حکیم ہے اور سب باتوں کی اسے خبر ہے

اور بولے جو ان مویشیوں کے پیٹ میں ہے وہ نرا (خالص) ہمارے مردوں کا ہے اور ہماری عورتوں پر حرام ہے، اور مرا ہوا نکلے تو وہ سب اس میں شریک ہیں، قریب ہے کہ اللہ انہیں اِن کی اُن باتوں کا بدلہ دے گا، بیشک وہ حکمت و علم والا ہے،

اور وہ کہتے ہیں کہ جو ان چوپاؤں کے پیٹ میں ہے وہ ہمارے مردوں کے لیے مخصوص ہے اور ہماری عورتوں پر حرام ہے اور اگر وہ مردار ہوں تو وہ سب اس میں شریک ہیں عنقریب اللہ ان کو اس بات بنانے کا بدلہ دے گا۔

قَدْ خَسِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَتَلُوٓا۟ أَوْلَٰدَهُمْ سَفَهًۢا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۢ وَحَرَّمُوا۟ مَا رَزَقَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱفْتِرَآءً عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ۚ قَدْ ضَلُّوا۟ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُهْتَدِينَ

⦿

They are losers who besottedly have slain their children without knowledge, and have forbidden that which Allah bestowed upon them, inventing a lie against Allah. They indeed have gone astray and are not guided.

They are certainly losers who slay their children foolishly without knowledge, and forbid what Allah has provided them, fabricating a lie against Allah. Certainly, they have gone astray and are not guided.

⦿

Those who foolishly and ignorantly murdered their children, ascribed falsehood to God and made unlawful what He had given to them for their sustenance, have certainly lost much. They had gone far away from the right guidance.

They are lost indeed who kill their children foolishly without knowledge, and forbid what Allah has given to them forging a lie against Allah; they have indeed gone astray, and they are not the followers of the right course.

Losers indeed are they who kill their children foolishly and without knowledge and declare as forbidden what God has provided for them as sustenance -- a fabrication against God: they have gone astray and have not chosen to be rightly guided.

یقینا وہ لوگ خسارہ میں ہیں جنہوں نے حماقت میں بغیر جانے بوجھے اپنی اولاد کو قتل کردیا اور جو رزق خدا نے انہیں دیا ہے اسے اسی پر بہتان لگا کر اپنے اوپر حرام کرلیا -یہ سب بہک گئے ہیں اور ہدایت یافتہ نہیں ہیں

یقیناً خسارے میں پڑ گئے وہ لوگ جنہوں نے اپنی اولاد کو جہالت و نادانی کی بنا پر قتل کیا اور اللہ کے دیے ہوئے رزق کو اللہ پر افترا پردازی کر کے حرام ٹھیرا لیا یقیناً وہ بھٹک گئے اور ہرگز وہ راہ راست پانے والوں میں سے نہ تھے

بیشک تباہ ہوئے وہ جو اپنی اولاد کو قتل کرتے ہیں احمقانہ جہالت سے اور حرام ٹھہراتے ہیں وہ جو اللہ نے انہیں روزی دی اللہ پر جھوٹ باندھنے کو بیشک وہ بہکے اور راہ نہ پائی

یقینا وہ لوگ بڑے گھاٹے میں ہیں جنہوں نے علم کے بغیر محض جہالت اور حماقت کی وجہ سے اپنی اولاد کو قتل کیا۔ اور اللہ پر افترا پردازی کرکے اللہ کے دیے ہوئے رزق کو حرام قرار دیا بے شک وہ گمراہ ہوئے اور ہدایت یافتہ اور راہ یاب نہیں ہیں۔

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَ جَنَّٰتٍۢ مَّعْرُوشَٰتٍۢ وَغَيْرَ مَعْرُوشَٰتٍۢ وَٱلنَّخْلَ وَٱلزَّرْعَ مُخْتَلِفًا أُكُلُهُۥ وَٱلزَّيْتُونَ وَٱلرُّمَّانَ مُتَشَٰبِهًۭا وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَٰبِهٍۢ ۚ كُلُوا۟ مِن ثَمَرِهِۦٓ إِذَآ أَثْمَرَ وَءَاتُوا۟ حَقَّهُۥ يَوْمَ حَصَادِهِۦ ۖ وَلَا تُسْرِفُوٓا۟ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ

⦿

He it is Who produceth gardens trellised and untrellised, and the date-palm, and crops of divers flavour, and the olive and the pomegranate, like and unlike. Eat ye of the fruit thereof when it fruiteth, and pay the due thereof upon the harvest day, and be not prodigal. Lo! Allah loveth not the prodigals.

It is He who produces gardens trellised and without trellises, and palm-trees and crops of diverse produce, olives and pomegranates, similar and dissimilar. Eat of its fruits when it fructifies, and give its due on the day of harvest, and do not be wasteful; indeed, He does not like the wasteful.

It is He who has created all kinds of gardens, those raised on trellises and those without, palm-trees and the crops of different seasons, and olives and pomegranates of all types. You may eat their fruits that they produce but pay God's share on the harvest day. Do not be excessive for God does not love those who are excessive.

And He it is Who produces gardens (of vine), trellised and untrellised, and palms and seed-produce of which the fruits are of various sorts, and olives and pomegranates, like and unlike; eat of its fruit when it bears fruit, and pay the due of it on the day of its reaping, and do not act extravagantly; surely He does not love the extravagant.

It is He who has produced gardens, both trellised and untrellised, and date palms and field crops, all varying in taste, and the olive and the pomegranate, both similar and dissimilar. Eat their fruits when they bear fruit and give away what is due of them on the day of their harvest. Do not waste anything. He does not love the wasteful!

وہ خدا وہ ہے جس نے تختوں پر چڑھائے ہوئے بھی اور اس کے خلاف بھی ہر طرح کے باغات پیدا کئے ہیں اور کھجور اور زراعت پیدا کی ہے جس کے مزے مختلف ہیں اور زیتون اورانار بھی پیدا کئے ہیں جن میں بعض آپس میں ایک دوسرے سے ملتے جلتے ہیں اور بعض مختلف ہیں -تم سب ان کے پھلوں کو جب وہ تیار ہوجائیں تو کھاؤ اور جب کاٹنے کا دن آئے تو ان کا حق ادا کردو اور خبردار اسراف نہ کرنا کہ خدا اسراف کرنے والوں کو دوست نہیں رکھتا ہے

وہ اللہ ہی ہے جس نے طرح طرح کے باغ اور تاکستان اور نخلستان پیدا کیے، کھیتیاں اگائیں جن سے قسم قسم کے ماکولات حاصل ہوتے ہیں، زیتون اور انار کے درخت پیدا کیے جن کے پھل صورت میں مشابہ اور مزے میں مختلف ہوتے ہیں کھاؤ ان کی پیداوار جب کہ یہ پھلیں، اور اللہ کا حق ادا کرو جب اس کی فصل کاٹو، اور حد سے نہ گزرو کہ اللہ حد سے گزرنے والوں کو پسند نہیں کرتا

اور وہی ہے جس نے پیدا کیے باغ کچھ زمین پر چھئے (چھائے) ہوئے اور کچھ بے چھئے (پھیلے) اور کھجور اور کھیتی جس میں رنگ رنگ کے کھانے اور زیتون اور انار کسی بات میں ملتے اور کسی میں الگ کھاؤ اس کا پھل جب پھل لائے اور اس کا حق دو جس دن کٹے اور بے جا نہ خرچو بیشک بے جا خرچنے والے اسے پسند نہیں،

And of the cattle (He produceth) some for burdens, some for food. Eat of that which Allah hath bestowed upon you, and follow not the footsteps of the devil, for lo! he is an open foe to you.

ثَمَٰنِيَةَ أَزْوَٰجٍۢ ۖ مِّنَ ٱلضَّأْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ وَمِنَ ٱلْمَعْزِ ٱثْنَيْنِ ۗ قُلْ ءَآلذَّكَرَيْنِ حَرَّمَ أَمِ ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ أَمَّا ٱشْتَمَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ أَرْحَامُ ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ ۖ نَبِّـُٔونِى بِعِلْمٍ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ

Eight pairs: Of the sheep twain, and of the goats twain. Say: Hath He forbidden the two males or the two females, or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Expound to me (the case) with knowledge, if ye are truthful.

وَمِنَ ٱلْإِبِلِ ٱثْنَيْنِ وَمِنَ ٱلْبَقَرِ ٱثْنَيْنِ ۗ قُلْ ءَآلذَّكَرَيْنِ حَرَّمَ أَمِ ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ أَمَّا ٱشْتَمَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ أَرْحَامُ ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ ۖ أَمْ كُنتُمْ شُهَدَآءَ إِذْ وَصَّىٰكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِهَٰذَا ۚ فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًۭا لِّيُضِلَّ ٱلنَّاسَ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

And of the camels twain and of the oxen twain. Say: Hath He forbidden the two males or the two females, or that which the wombs of the two females contain; or were ye by to witness when Allah commanded you (all) this? Then who doth greater wrong than he who deviseth a lie concerning Allah, that he may lead mankind astray without knowledge. Lo! Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.

And two of camels and two of oxen. Say, [Is it the two males that He has forbidden or the two females, or what is contained in the wombs of the two females? Were you witnesses when Allah enjoined this upon you?] So who is a greater wrongdoer than him who fabricates a lie against Allah to mislead the people without any knowledge? Indeed Allah does not guide the wrongdoing lot.

Of the two pairs of camels and cows, are the males unlawful (to eat) or the females or that which exists in the wombs of the females? Were you present when God commanded you to do this? Who are more unjust than those who ascribe falsehood to God and out of ignorance make others go astray? God does not guide the unjust.

And two of camels and two of cows. Say: Has He forbidden the two males or the two females or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Or were you witnesses when Allah enjoined you this? Who, then, is more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah that he should lead astray men without knowledge? Surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.

اور اونٹ میں سے دو اور گائے میں سے دو .... ان سے کہیے کہ خدا نے نروں کو حرام قرار دیا ہے یا مادینوں کو یا ان کو جو مادینوں کے شکم میں ہیں .... کیا تم لوگ اس وقت حاضر تھے جب خدا ان کو حرام کرنے کی وصیت کررہا تھا -پھر اس سے بڑا ظالم کون ہے جو خدا پر جھوٹا الزام لگائے تاکہ لوگوں کو بغیر جانے بوجھے گمراہ کرے -یقینا اللہ ظالم قوم کو ہدایت نہیں دیتا ہے

اور اسی طرح دو اونٹ کی قسم سے ہیں اور دو گائے کی قسم سے پوچھو، اِن کے نر اللہ نے حرام کیے ہیں یا مادہ، یا وہ بچے جو اونٹنی اور گائے کے پیٹ میں ہوں؟ کیا تم اُس وقت حاضر تھے جب اللہ نے ان کے حرام ہونے کا حکم تمہیں دیا تھا؟ پھر اُس شخص سے بڑھ کر ظالم اور کون ہوگا جو اللہ کی طرف منسوب کر کے جھوٹی بات کہے تاکہ علم کے بغیر لوگوں کی غلط راہ نمائی کرے یقیناً اللہ ایسے ظالموں کو راہ راست نہیں دکھاتا

اور ایک جوڑا اونٹ کا اور ایک جوڑا گائے کا، تم فرماؤ کیا اس نے دونوں نر حرام کیے یا دونوں مادہ یا وہ جسے دونوں مادہ پیٹ میں لیے ہیں کیا تم موجود تھے جب اللہ نے تمہیں یہ حکم دیا تو اس سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون جو اللہ پر جھوٹ باندھے کہ لوگوں کو اپنی جہالت سے گمراہ کرے، بیشک اللہ ظالموں کو راہ نہیں دکھاتا،

اور اس طرح دو قسمیں اونٹ سے اور دو قسمیں گائے سے۔ کہو اس (اللہ) نے دونوں قسموں کے نروں کو حرام کیا ہے یا دونوں قسم کی ماداؤں کو؟ یا جو دونوں ماداؤں کے پیٹ میں ہے؟ کیا تم اس وقت موجود تھے جب اللہ نے تمہیں اس بات کا حکم دیا تھا؟ تو اس شخص سے بڑھ کر کون ظالم ہوگا جو اللہ پر جھوٹا الزام لگائے تاکہ کسی علم کے بغیر لوگوں کو گمراہ کرے بے شک اللہ ظالم قوم کو ہدایت نہیں کرتا (اسے منزلِ مقصود تک نہیں پہنچاتا)۔

قُل لَّآ أَجِدُ فِى مَآ أُوحِىَ إِلَىَّ مُحَرَّمًا عَلَىٰ طَاعِمٍۢ يَطْعَمُهُۥٓ إِلَّآ أَن يَكُونَ مَيْتَةً أَوْ دَمًۭا مَّسْفُوحًا أَوْ لَحْمَ خِنزِيرٍۢ فَإِنَّهُۥ رِجْسٌ أَوْ فِسْقًا أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ ٱللَّهِ بِهِۦ ۚ فَمَنِ ٱضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍۢ وَلَا عَادٍۢ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ

Say: I find not in that which is revealed unto me aught prohibited to an eater that he eat thereof, except it be carrion, or blood poured forth, or swineflesh - for that verily is foul - or the abomination which was immolated to the name of other than Allah. But whoso is compelled (thereto), neither craving nor transgressing, (for him) lo! thy Lord is Forgiving, Merciful.

Say, [I do not find in what has been revealed to me that anyone be forbidden to eat anything except carrion or spilt blood, or the flesh of swine—for that is indeed unclean—or an impiety offered to other than Allah.] But should someone be compelled, without being rebellious or aggressive, indeed your Lord is all-forgiving, all-merciful.

(Muhammad), tell them, [I do not find anything which has been made unlawful to eat in what has been revealed to me except carrion, blood flowing from the body, pork [for pork is absolutely filthy] and the flesh of the animals slaughtered without the mention of the name of God. However, in an emergency, when one does not have any intention of rebelling or transgressing against the law, your Lord will be All-forgiving and All-merciful.

Say: I do not find in that which has been revealed to me anything forbidden for an eater to eat of except that it be what has died of itself, or blood poured forth, or flesh of swine-- for that surely is unclean-- or that which is a transgression, other than (the name of) Allah having been invoked on it; but whoever is driven to necessity, not desiring nor exceeding the limit, then surely your Lord is Forgiving, Merciful.

Say [O Prophet], [In all that has been revealed to me, I do not find a ban on anything to eat, except for carrion, flowing blood and pork, all these being unclean or profane, on which the name of someone other than God has been invoked.] But if anyone is forced by necessity, being neither disobedient nor exceeding the limit, then surely your Lord is most forgiving and merciful.

آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ میں اپنی طرف آنے والی وحی میں کسی بھی کھانے والے کے لئے کوئی حرام نہیں پاتا مگر یہ کہ مفِدار ہو یا بہایا ہوا خون یا سور کا گوشت ہوکہ یہ سب نجس اور گندگی ہے یا وہ نافرمانی ہو جسے غیر خد اکے نام پر ذبح کیا گیا ہو .... اس کے بعد بھی کوئی مجبور ہوجائے اور نہ سرکش ہو نہ حد سے تجاوز کرنے والا تو پروردگار بڑا بخشنے والا مہربان ہے

اے محمدؐ! ان سے کہو کہ جو وحی تمہارے پاس آئی ہے اس میں تو میں کوئی چیز ایسی نہیں پاتا جو کسی کھانے والے پر حرام ہو، الا یہ کہ وہ مُردار ہو، یا بہایا ہوا خون ہو، یاسور کا گوشت ہو کہ وہ ناپاک ہے، یا فسق ہو کہ اللہ کے سوا کسی اور کے نام پر ذبح کیا گیا ہو پھر جو شخص مجبوری کی حالت میں (کوئی چیز اِن میں سے کھا لے) بغیر اس کے کہ وہ نافرمانی کا ارادہ رکھتا ہو اور بغیر اس کے کہ وہ حد ضرورت سے تجاوز کرے، تو یقیناً تمہارا رب در گزر سے کام لینے والا اور رحم فرمانے والا ہے

تم فرماؤ میں نہیں پاتا اس میں جو میری طرف وحی ہوئی کسی کھانے والے پر کوئی کھانا حرام مگر یہ کہ مردار ہو یا رگوں کا بہتا خون یا بد جانور کا گوشت وہ نجاست ہے یا وہ بے حکمی کا جانور جس کے ذبح میں غیر خدا کا نام پکارا گیا تو جو ناچار ہوا نہ یوں کہ آپ خواہش کرے اور نہ یوں کہ ضرورت سے بڑھے تو بے شیک اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے

وَعَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ حَرَّمْنَا كُلَّ ذِى ظُفُرٍۢ ۖ وَمِنَ ٱلْبَقَرِ وَٱلْغَنَمِ حَرَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ شُحُومَهُمَآ إِلَّا مَا حَمَلَتْ ظُهُورُهُمَآ أَوِ ٱلْحَوَايَآ أَوْ مَا ٱخْتَلَطَ بِعَظْمٍۢ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ جَزَيْنَٰهُم بِبَغْيِهِمْ ۖ وَإِنَّا لَصَٰدِقُونَ

Unto those who are Jews We forbade every animal with claws. And of the oxen and the sheep forbade We unto them the fat thereof save that upon the backs or the entrails, or that which is mixed with the bone. That we awarded them for their rebellion. And lo! we verily are truthful.

So if they give the lie to thee (Muhammad), say: Your Lord is a Lord of All-Embracing Mercy, and His wrath will never be withdrawn from guilty folk.

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.

Because the process must be transparent, the entire website is available for you to download. You can go through the code, and if you can make any improvements to this process, you are most welcome to. It is a humble request to update me regarding the improvements so I can also update myself.
