١٠٦

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ شَهَٰدَةُ بَيْنِكُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَكُمُ ٱلْمَوْتُ حِينَ ٱلْوَصِيَّةِ ٱثْنَانِ ذَوَا عَدْلٍۢ مِّنكُمْ أَوْ ءَاخَرَانِ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ إِنْ أَنتُمْ ضَرَبْتُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَأَصَٰبَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ ۚ تَحْبِسُونَهُمَا مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ فَيُقْسِمَانِ بِٱللَّهِ إِنِ ٱرْتَبْتُمْ لَا نَشْتَرِى بِهِۦ ثَمَنًۭا وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَىٰ ۙ وَلَا نَكْتُمُ شَهَٰدَةَ ٱللَّهِ إِنَّآ إِذًۭا لَّمِنَ ٱلْـَٔاثِمِينَ

⦿

O ye who believe! Let there be witnesses between you when death draweth nigh unto one of you, at the time of bequest - two witnesses, just men from among you, or two others from another tribe, in case ye are campaigning in the land and the calamity of death befall you. Ye shall empanel them both after the prayer, and, if ye doubt, they shall be made to swear by Allah (saying): We will not take a bribe, even though it were (on behalf of) a near kinsman nor will we hide the testimony of Allah, for then indeed we should be of the sinful.

O you who have faith! The witness between you, when death approaches any of you, while making a bequest, shall be two fair men from among yourselves—or two from among others, if you are journeying in the land and the affliction of death visits you. You shall detain the two of them after the prayer, and, if you have any doubt, they shall vow by Allah, [We will not sell it for any gain, even if it were a relative, nor will we conceal the testimony of Allah, for then we would indeed be among the sinners.]

Believers, when death approaches any one of you, let two just men from your own people (Muslims) or any two other men (People of the Book) if death befalls you on a journey, bear witness to the bequest. If you have any doubts as to their honesty, detain them and let them take an oath after the prayer, each one of them saying, [I swear by God that my testimony is true. I am not selling the Truth for a paltry price even though the beneficiary would be one of my relatives. I do not hide the testimony which is the right of God, for then I would be one of the sinners.]

O you who believe! call to witness between you when death draws nigh to one of you, at the time of making the will, two just persons from among you, or two others from among others than you, if you are travelling in the land and the calamity of death befalls you; the two (witnesses) you should detain after the prayer; then if you doubt (them), they shall both swear by Allah, (saying): We will not take for it a price, though there be a relative, and we will not hide the testimony of Allah for then certainly we should be among the sinners.

Believers, when death approaches you, let two just men from among you act as witnesses when you make your testaments; or two men from another tribe, if the calamity of death overtakes you while you are travelling in the land. Detain them after prayers, and if you doubt their honesty, let them swear by God, [We will not sell our testimony for any price, even to a kinsman. And we will not conceal the testimony of God. If we did, we would indeed be guilty of sin.]

ایمان والو جب تم میں سے کسی کی موت سامنے آجائے تو گواہی کا خیال رکھنا کہ وصیت کے وقت دو عادل گواہ تم میں سے ہوں یا پھر تمہارے غیر میں سے ہوں اگر تم سفر کی حالت میں ہو اور وہیں موت کی مصیبت نازل ہوجائے ان دونوں کو نماز کے بعد روک کر رکھو پھر اگر تمہیں شک ہو تو یہ خدا کی قسم کھائیں کہ ہم اس گواہی سے کسی طرح کا فائدہ نہیں چاہتے ہیں چاہے قرابتدار ہی کا معاملہ کیوں نہ ہو اور نہ خدائی شہادت کو چھپاتے ہیں کہ اس طرح ہم یقینا گناہگاروں میں شمار ہوجائیں گے

اے لوگو جو ایمان لائے ہو، جب تم میں سے کسی کی موت کا وقت آ جائے اور وہ وصیت کر رہا ہو تو اس کے لیے شہادت کا نصاب یہ ہے کہ تمہاری جماعت میں سے دو صاحب عدل آدمی گواہ بنائے جائیں، یا اگر تم سفر کی حالت میں ہو اور وہاں موت کی مصیبت پیش آ جائے تو غیر مسلموں ہی میں سے دو گواہ لے لیے جائں پھر اگر کوئی شک پڑ جائے تو نماز کے بعد دونوں گواہوں کو (مسجد میں) روک لیا جائے اور وہ خدا کی قسم کھا کر کہیں کہ ——ہم کسی ذاتی فائدے کے عوض شہادت بیچنے والے نہیں ہیں، اور خواہ کوئی ہمارا رشتہ دار ہی کیوں نہ ہو (ہم اس کی رعایت کرنے والے نہیں) اور نہ خدا واسطے کی گواہی کو ہم چھپانے والے ہیں، اگر ہم نے یسا کیا تو گناہ گاروں میں شمار ہوں گے——

اے ایمان والوں تمہاری آپس کی گواہی جب تم میں کسی کو موت آئے وصیت کرتے وقت تم میں کے دو معتبر شخص ہیں یا غیروں میں کے دو جب تم ملک میں سفر کو جاؤ پھر تمہیں موت کا حادثہ پہنچے، ان دونوں کو نماز کے بعد روکو وہ اللہ کی قسم کھائیں اگر تمہیں کچھ شک پڑے ہم حلف کے بدلے کچھ مال نہ خریدیں گے اگرچہ قریب کا رشتہ دار ہو اور اللہ کی گواہی نہ چھپائیں گے ایسا کریں تو ہم ضرور گنہگاروں میں ہیں،

اے ایمان والو! جب تم میں سے کسی کی موت کا وقت آجائے جبکہ وہ وصیت کر رہا ہو تو تمہارے درمیان گواہی کا ضابطہ یہ ہے کہ تم مسلمانوں میں سے دو عادل گواہ ہونے چاہئیں۔ ہاں البتہ اگر تم سفر میں ہو اور تم پر موت کی مصیبت آپڑے (اور مسلمان گواہ نہ مل سکیں) تو پھر دو گواہ غیروں میں سے ہی لے لئے جائیں۔ اور اگر تمہیں شک پڑ جائے تو ان دونوں کو نماز کے بعد روک رکھو اور وہ دونوں ان الفاظ کے ساتھ اللہ کی قَسم کھائیں کہ ہم اس قَسم کے عوض کوئی قیمت (فائدہ) حاصل نہیں کر رہے ہیں۔ اگرچہ ہمارا رشتہ دار ہی کیوں نہ ہو اور ہم اللہ واسطے کی گواہی نہیں چھپائیں گے ورنہ یقینا ہم گنہگاروں میں سے ہوں گے۔

لَّمِنَ

ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

١٠٧

فَإِنْ عُثِرَ عَلَىٰٓ أَنَّهُمَا ٱسْتَحَقَّآ إِثْمًۭا فَـَٔاخَرَانِ يَقُومَانِ مَقَامَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْأَوْلَيَٰنِ فَيُقْسِمَانِ بِٱللَّهِ لَشَهَٰدَتُنَآ أَحَقُّ مِن شَهَٰدَتِهِمَا وَمَا ٱعْتَدَيْنَآ إِنَّآ إِذًۭا لَّمِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

⦿

But then, if it is afterwards ascertained that both of them merit (the suspicion of) sin, let two others take their place of those nearly concerned, and let them swear by Allah, (saying): Verily our testimony is truer than their testimony and we have not transgressed (the bounds of duty), for them indeed we should be of the evil-doers.

But if it is found that both of them were guilty of a sin, then two others shall stand up in their place from among those nearest in kinship to the claimants and swear by Allah: [Our testimony is surely truer than their testimony, and we have not transgressed, for then we would indeed be among the wrongdoers.]

If their honesty is challenged, two others from the relatives of the deceased should swear in the same way and testify to the bequest saying, [We swear by God that our testimony is the true one. We do not transgress in the matter lest we become unjust ones.]

Then if it becomes known that they both have been guilty of a sin, two others shall stand up in their place from among those who have a claim against them, the two nearest in kin; so they two should swear by Allah: Certainly our testimony is truer than the testimony of those two, and we have not exceeded the limit, for then most surely we should be of the unjust.

If it turns out that both prove dishonest, two others should take their place from amongst those whose rights have been usurped and let them swear by God, saying, [Our testimony is indeed truer than the testimony of these two. And we have not been guilty of any misstatement for then indeed we would be transgressors.]

پھر اگر معلوم ہوجائے کہ وہ دونوں گناہ کے حقدار ہوگئے ہیں تو ان کی جگہ دو دوسرے آدمی کھڑے ہوں گے ان افراد میں سے جو میت سے قریب تر ہیں اور وہ قسم کھائیں گے کہ ہماری شہادت ان کی شہادت سے زیادہ صحیح ہے اور ہم نے کسی طرح کی زیادتی نہیں کی ہے کہ اس طرح ظالمین میں شمار ہوجائیں گے

لیکن اگر پتہ چل جائے کہ ان دونوں نے اپنے آپ کو گناہ میں مبتلا کیا ہے تو پھر ان کی جگہ دو اور شخص جو ان کی بہ نسبت شہادت دینے کے لیے اہل تر ہوں ان لوگوں میں سے کھڑے ہوں جن کی حق تلفی ہوئی ہو، اور وہ خدا کی قسم کھا کر کہیں کہ ——ہماری شہادت اُن کی شہادت سے زیادہ بر حق ہے اور ہم نے اپنے گواہی میں کوئی زیادتی نہیں کی ہے، اگر ہم ایسا کریں تو ظالموں میں سے ہوں گے——

پھر اگر پتہ چلے کہ وہ کسی گناہ کے سزاوار ہوئے تو ان کی جگہ دو اور کھڑے ہوں ان میں سے کہ اس گناہ یعنی جھوٹی گواہی نے ان کا حق لے کر ان کو نقصان پہنچایا جو میت سے زیادہ قریب ہوں تو اللہ کی قسم کھائیں کہ ہماری گواہی زیادہ ٹھیک ہے ان دو کی گواہی سے اور ہم حد سے نہ بڑھے ایسا ہو تو ہم ظالموں میں ہوں،

اور اگر بعد میں پتہ چلے کہ وہ (جھوٹی گواہی دے کر) گناہ کے مستوجب ہوئے ہیں تو پھر ان کی جگہ دو اور گواہ کھڑے ہوں (جو مرنے والے کے زیادہ) قریبی رشتہ دار ہوں جن کی حق تلفی ہوئی ہے اور اللہ کی قَسم کھائیں کہ ہماری گواہی ان (پہلے) دونوں کی گواہی سے زیادہ برحق ہے اور ہم نے کوئی زیادتی نہیں کی ورنہ ہم ظالموں میں سے ہوں گے۔

ذَٰلِكَ أَدْنَىٰٓ أَن يَأْتُوا۟ بِٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهَآ أَوْ يَخَافُوٓا۟ أَن تُرَدَّ أَيْمَٰنٌۢ بَعْدَ أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ ۗ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱسْمَعُوا۟ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ

Thus it is more likely that they will bear true witness or fear that after their oaths the oaths (of others) will be taken. So be mindful of your duty (to Allah) and hearken. Allah guideth not the froward folk.

That makes it likelier that they give the testimony in its genuine form, or fear that other oaths will be taken after their oaths. Be wary of Allah and listen, and Allah does not guide the transgressing lot.

This will help preserve a proper testimony because the witness will be afraid of the denial of their own testimony by a second pair of witness. Have fear of God and listen (properly). God does not guide the evil doing people.

This is more proper in order that they should give testimony truly or fear that other oaths be given after their oaths; and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, and hear; and Allah does not guide the transgressing people.

That makes it more likely that people will bear true witness, or else they will fear that their oaths will be contradicted by the oaths of others. Heed God and listen; God does not guide a rebellious, disobedient people.

یہ بہترین طریقہ ہے کہ شہادت کو صحیح طریقہ سے پیش کریں یا اس بات سے ڈریں کہ کہیں ہماری گواہی دوسروں کی گواہی کے بعد رد نہ کردی جائے اوراللہ سے ڈرتے رہو اور اس کی سنو کہ وہ فاسق قوم کی ہدایت نہیں کرتا ہے

اس طریقہ سے زیادہ توقع کی جاسکتی ہے کہ لوگ ٹھیک ٹھیک شہادت دیں گے، یا کم از کم اس بات ہی کا خوف کریں گے کہ ان کی قسموں کے بعد ددسری قسموں سے کہیں ان کی تردید نہ ہو جائے اللہ سے ڈرو اور سنو، اللہ نافرمانی کرنے والوں کو اپنی رہنمائی سے محروم کر دیتا ہے

یہ قریب تر ہے اس سے کہ گواہی جیسی چاہیے ادا کریں یا ڈریں کہ کچھ قسمیں رد کردی جائیں ان کی قسموں کے بعد اور اللہ سے ڈرو اور حکم سنو، اور اللہ بے حکموں کو راہ نہیں دیتا،

یہ طریقہ کار زیادہ قریب ہے اس کے کہ گواہ ٹھیک طریقہ پر گواہی دیں گے یا کم از کم وہ اس بات کا خوف تو کریں گے کہ ان کی قَسموں کے بعد کہیں اور قَسموں سے ان کی تردید نہ ہو جائے (یا انہیں یہ اندیشہ تو ہوگا کہ ان کی قَسموں کے بعد دوسرے گواہوں سے بھی قَسمیں لی جا سکتی ہیں) اللہ (کی نافرمانی) سے ڈرو۔ اور سنو۔ اور اللہ نافرمان لوگوں کو منزل تک نہیں پہنچاتا۔

يَوْمَ يَجْمَعُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَآ أُجِبْتُمْ ۖ قَالُوا۟ لَا عِلْمَ لَنَآ ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّٰمُ ٱلْغُيُوبِ

In the day when Allah gathereth together the messengers, and saith: What was your response (from mankind)? they say: We have no knowledge. Lo! Thou, only Thou art the Knower of Things Hidden,

The day Allah will gather the apostles and say, [What was the response to you?] They will say, [We have no knowledge. Indeed You are knower of all that is Unseen.]

⦿

Have fear of the day when God will bring all the Messengers together and ask them, [What was the response of men to your call?] They will reply, [We have no knowledge. You are the only One who has knowledge of the unseen.]

On the day when Allah will assemble the apostles, then say: What answer were you given? They shall say: We have no knowledge, surely Thou art the great Knower of the unseen things.

The Day when God assembles the messengers and asks them, [What was the response you received [from the people]?] they will reply, [We have no knowledge of it. You alone know what is hidden.]

جس دن خدا تمام مرسلین کو جمع کرکے سوال کرے گا کہ تمہیں قوم کی طرف سے تبلیغ کا کیا جواب ملا تو وہ کہیں گے کہ ہم کیا بتائیں تو خود ہی غیب کا جاننے والا ہے

جس روز اللہ سب رسولوں کو جمع کر کے پو چھے گا کہ تمہیں کیا جواب دیا گیا ہے، تو وہ عرض کریں گے کہ ہمیں کچھ علم نہیں، آپ ہی تمام پوشیدہ حقیقتوں کو جانتے ہیں

جس دن اللہ جمع فرمائے گا رسولوں کو پھر فرمائے گا تمہیں کیا جواب ملا عرض کریں گے ہمیں کچھ علم نہیں، بیشک تو ہی ہے سب غیبوں کا جاننے والا

(اس وقت کو یاد کرو) جب اللہ تمام رسولوں کو جمع کرکے پوچھے گا کہ تمہیں (اپنی امتوں کی طرف سے) کیا جواب ملا تھا تو وہ عرض کریں گے کہ ہمیں تو کچھ علم نہیں ہے۔ تو ہی غیب کی تمام باتوں کا بڑا جاننے والا ہے۔

إِذْ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَٰعِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ ٱذْكُرْ نِعْمَتِى عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَتِكَ إِذْ أَيَّدتُّكَ بِرُوحِ ٱلْقُدُسِ تُكَلِّمُ ٱلنَّاسَ فِى ٱلْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلًۭا ۖ وَإِذْ عَلَّمْتُكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ ۖ وَإِذْ تَخْلُقُ مِنَ ٱلطِّينِ كَهَيْـَٔةِ ٱلطَّيْرِ بِإِذْنِى فَتَنفُخُ فِيهَا فَتَكُونُ طَيْرًۢا بِإِذْنِى ۖ وَتُبْرِئُ ٱلْأَكْمَهَ وَٱلْأَبْرَصَ بِإِذْنِى ۖ وَإِذْ تُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ بِإِذْنِى ۖ وَإِذْ كَفَفْتُ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ عَنكَ إِذْ جِئْتَهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ

When Allah saith: O Jesus, son of Mary! Remember My favour unto thee and unto thy mother; how I strengthened thee with the holy Spirit, so that thou spakest unto mankind in the cradle as in maturity; and how I taught thee the Scripture and Wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and how thou didst shape of clay as it were the likeness of a bird by My permission, and didst blow upon it and it was a bird by My permission, and thou didst heal him who was born blind and the leper by My permission; and how thou didst raise the dead by My permission; and how I restrained the Children of Israel from (harming) thee when thou camest unto them with clear proofs, and those of them who disbelieved exclaimed: This is naught else than mere magic;

When Allah will say, O Jesus son of Mary, remember My blessing upon you and upon your mother, when I strengthened you with the Holy Spirit, so you would speak to the people in the cradle and in adulthood, and when I taught you the Book and wisdom, the Torah and the Evangel, and when you would create from clay the form of a bird, with My leave, and you would breathe into it and it would become a bird, with My leave; and you would heal the blind and the leper, with My leave, and you would raise the dead, with My leave; and when I held off [the evil of] the Children of Israel from you when you brought them manifest proofs, whereat the faithless among them said, [This is nothing but plain magic.]

When God said, [Jesus, son of Mary, recall My favors to you and your mother. (Recall) how I supported you by the holy spirit, made you speak to people from your cradle and when you grew up, taught you the Book, gave you wisdom, the Torah, and the Gospel. (Recall) when, by My will, you made a sculpture of a bird out of clay, blew into it, and it turned into a real bird by My Will. (Recall) how, by My will, you healed the deaf, the lepers, and raised the dead. (Recall) when you came to the Israelites in the house with clear miracles and I saved you from their mischief, even though the disbelievers among them said, [This is obviously magic].

When Allah will say: O Isa son of Marium! Remember My favor on you and on your mother, when I strengthened you I with the holy Spirit, you spoke to the people in the cradle and I when of old age, and when I taught you the Book and the wisdom and the Taurat and the Injeel; and when you determined out of clay a thing like the form of a bird by My permission, then you breathed into it and it became a bird by My permission, and you healed the blind and the leprous by My permission; and when you brought forth the dead by My permission; and when I withheld the children of Israel from you when you came to them with clear arguments, but those who disbelieved among them said: This is nothing but clear enchantment.

Then God will say, [Jesus, son of Mary, remember My favour to you and to your mother: how I strengthened you with the holy spirit, so that you could speak to people in childhood and in maturity; and how I taught you the Book, and wisdom, the Torah and the Gospel; how by My leave you fashioned from clay the shape of a bird and blew upon it, so that, by My leave, it became a bird, and healed the blind and the leper by My permission, and when you brought forth the dead by My permission; and how I prevented the Children of Israel from harming you when you came to them with clear signs, when those of them who denied the truth said, [This is sheer magic.]

اور جب اللہ نے کہا کہ اے عیسٰی بن مریم کیا تم نے لوگوں سے یہ کہہ دیا ہے کہ اللہ کو چھوڑ کو مجھے اور میری ماں کو خدا مان لو .... تو عیسٰی نے عرض کی کہ تیری ذات بے نیاز ہے میں ایسی بات کیسے کہوں گا جس کا مجھے کوئی حق نہیں ہے اور اگر میں نے کہا تھا تو تجھے تو معلوم ہی ہے کہ تو میرے دل کا حال جانتا ہے اور میں تیرے اسرار نہیں جانتا ہوں -تو ,تو غیب کا جاننے والا بھی ہے

پھر تصور کرو اس موقع کا جب اللہ فرمائے گا کہ ——اے مریم کے بیٹے عیسیٰؑ! یاد کر میری اس نعمت کو جو میں نے تجھے اور تیری ماں کو عطا کی تھی، میں نے روح پاک سے تیری مدد کی، تو گہوارے میں بھی لوگوں سے بات کرتا تھا اور بڑی عمر کو پہنچ کر بھی، میں نے تجھ کو کتاب اور حکمت اور تورات اور انجیل کی تعلیم دی، تو میرے حکم سے مٹی کا پتلا پرندے کی شکل کا بناتا اور اس میں پھونکتا تھا اور وہ میرے حکم سے پرندہ بن جاتا تھا، تو مادر زاد اندھے اور کوڑھی کو میرے حکم سے اچھا کرتا تھا، تو مُردوں کو میرے حکم سے نکالتا تھا، پھر جب تو بنی اسرائیل کے پاس صریح نشانیاں لے کر پہنچا اور جو لوگ ان میں سے منکر حق تھے انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ نشانیاں جادو گری کے سوا اور کچھ نہیں ہیں تو میں نے ہی تجھے اُن سے بچایا

جب اللہ فرمائے گا اے مریم کے بیٹے عیسیٰ! یاد کر میرا احسان اپنے اوپر اور اپنی ماں پر جب میں نے پاک روح سے تیری مدد کی تو لوگوں سے باتیں کرتا پالنے میں اور پکی عمر ہوکر اور جب میں نے تجھے سکھائی کتاب اور حکمت اور توریت اور انجیل اور جب تو مٹی سے پرند کی سی مورت میرے حکم سے بناتا پھر اس میں پھونک مارتا تو وہ میرے حکم سے اڑنے لگتی اور تو مادر زاد اندھے اور سفید داغ والے کو میرے حکم سے شفا دیتا اور جب تو مُردوں کو میرے حکم سے زندہ نکالتا اور جب میں نے بنی اسرائیل کو تجھ سے روکا جب تو ان کے پاس روشن نشانیاں لے کر آیا تو ان میں کے کافر بولے کہ یہ تو نہیں مگر کھلا جادو،

(اور وہ وقت یاد کرو) جب خدا فرمائے گا اے مریم کے فرزند عیسیٰ میرا وہ انعام یاد کرو۔ جو میں نے تم پر اور تمہاری والدہ پر کیا تھا۔ جب میں نے روح القدس سے تمہاری تائید کی (جس کی وجہ سے) تم گہوارے میں اور ادھیڑ عمر میں لوگوں سے (یکساں) باتیں کرتے تھے اور جب میں نے تمہیں کتاب (لکھنے) حکمت (دانائی)، توراۃ اور انجیل کی تعلیم دی تم میرے حکم سے مٹی سے پرندہ کی شکل (پتلا) بناتے تھے اور پھر اس میں پھونک مارتے تھے اور وہ میرے حکم سے (سچ مچ) پرندہ بن جاتا تھا۔ اور تم میرے حکم سے پیدائشی اندھے اور کوڑھی کو اچھا کر دیتے تھے اور تم میرے حکم سے مردوں کو (زندہ کرکے قبروں سے) نکالا کرتے تھے۔ اور جب میں نے بنی اسرائیل کو تم سے روکا تھا۔ جب تم ان کے پاس بینات و معجزات لائے تھے تو ان میں سے جو کافر (منکر حق) تھے انہوں نے کہا تھا کہ یہ نہیں ہے، مگر کھلا ہوا جادو۔

And when I inspired the disciples, (saying): Believe in Me and in My messenger, they said: We believe. Bear witness that we have surrendered (unto Thee) [we are muslims].

When the disciples said: O Jesus, son of Mary! Is thy Lord able to send down for us a table spread with food from heaven? He said: Observe your duty to Allah, if ye are true believers.

(They said:) We wish to eat thereof, that we may satisfy our hearts and know that thou hast spoken truth to us, and that thereof we may be witnesses.

Allah said: Lo! I send it down for you. And whoso disbelieveth of you afterward, him surely will I punish with a punishment wherewith I have not punished any of (My) creatures.

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.
