Those who deny the Scripture and that wherewith We send Our messengers. But they will come to know, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Beside Allah? They say: They have failed us; but we used not to pray to anything before. Thus doth Allah send astray the disbelievers (in His guidance). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

besides Allah?] They will say, [They have forsaken us. No, we did not invoke anything before.] That is how Allah leads the faithless astray. - Qarai, Ali Quli

They will reply, [They have abandoned us. In fact, we had worshipped nothing] Thus does God cause the disbelievers to go astray. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Besides Allah? They shall say: They are gone away from us, nay, we used not to call upon anything before. Thus does Allah confound the unbelievers. - Shakir, Habib

They will say, [They have been lost to us; nay, we did not invoke anything before [that had real existence].] Thus God leaves the deniers of the truth to stray; - Wahiduddin Khan

خدا کو چھوڑ کر.... تو وہ لوگ جواب دیں گے کہ وہ ہم کو چھوڑ کر گم ہوگئے بلکہ ہم اس کے پہلے کسی کو نہیں پکارا کرتے تھے اور اللہ اسی طرح کافروں کو گمراہی میں چھوڑ دیتا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

Then have patience (O Muhammad). Lo! the promise of Allah is true. And whether we let thee see a part of that which We promise them, or (whether) We cause thee to die, still unto Us they will be brought back. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

So be patient! Allah]s promise is indeed true. Whether We show you a part of what We promise them, or take you away [before that], [in any case] they will be brought back to Us. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), exercise patience. The promise of God is true. Whether We let you witness the suffering with which they were threatened or because of your death (you do not see them suffering,), We shall still punish them when they return to Us (on the Day of Judgment). - Sarwar, Muhammad

So be patient, surely the promise of Allah is true. So should We make you see part of what We threaten them with, or should We cause you to die, to Us shall they be returned. - Shakir, Habib

پس اے نبیؐ، صبر کرو، اللہ کا وعدہ برحق ہے اب خواہ ہم تمہارے سامنے ہی اِن کو اُن برے نتائج کا کوئی حصہ دکھا دیں جن سے ہم اِنہیں ڈرا رہے ہیں، یا (اُس سے پہلے) تمہیں دنیا سے اٹھا لیں، پلٹ کر آنا تو اِنہیں ہماری ہی طرف ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

آپ(ص) صبر کیجئے یقیناً اللہ کا وعدہ برحق ہے پھر جس (عذاب) کی ہم انہیں دھمکی دیتے رہے ہیں خواہ اس کا کچھ حصہ آپ کو (آنکھوں سے) دکھا دیں یا اس سے پہلے آپ کو دنیا سے اٹھا لیں۔ بہرحال ان سب کی بازگشت تو ہماری طرف ہی ہے (وہ اس سے بچ نہیں سکتے)۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Verily We sent messengers before thee, among them those of whom We have told thee, and some of whom We have not told thee; and it was not given to any messenger that he should bring a portent save by Allah's leave, but when Allah's commandment cometh (the cause) is judged aright, and the followers of vanity will then be lost. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

A Messenger is not supposed to show a miracle without the permission of God.
