يَٰمَرْيَمُ
[O Maryam!
ٱقْنُتِى
Be obedient
لِرَبِّكِ
for your Rabb,
وَٱسْجُدِى
and be an executor of service,
وَٱرْكَعِى
and accept as authority
مَعَ
with
ٱلرَّٰكِعِينَ
the ones who have accepted (the One) as authority.]
[O Maryam! Be obedient for your Rabb, and be an executor of service, and accept as authority with the ones who have accepted (the One) as authority.]

O Mary! Be obedient to thy Lord, prostrate thyself and bow with those who bow (in worship). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

ذَٰلِكَ
That is
مِنْ
of
أَنۢبَآءِ
the information of
ٱلْغَيْبِ
the unseen,
نُوحِيهِ
We inspire it
إِلَيْكَ
to you,
ۚ
وَمَا
and not
كُنتَ
you were
لَدَيْهِمْ
present with them
إِذْ
when
يُلْقُونَ
they joined
أَقْلَٰمَهُمْ
their pens about
أَيُّهُمْ
which of them
يَكْفُلُ
was responsible for
مَرْيَمَ
Maryam,
وَمَا
and not
كُنتَ
you were
لَدَيْهِمْ
present with them
إِذْ
when
يَخْتَصِمُونَ
they quarrelled.
٣
٤٤
ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ أَنۢبَآءِ ٱلْغَيْبِ نُوحِيهِ إِلَيْكَ ۚ وَمَا كُنتَ لَدَيْهِمْ إِذْ يُلْقُونَ أَقْلَٰمَهُمْ أَيُّهُمْ يَكْفُلُ مَرْيَمَ وَمَا كُنتَ لَدَيْهِمْ إِذْ يَخْتَصِمُونَ That is of the information of the unseen, We inspire it to you, and not you were present with them when they joined their pens about which of them was responsible for Maryam, and not you were present with them when they quarrelled.

This is of the tidings of things hidden. We reveal it unto thee (Muhammad). Thou wast not present with them when they threw their pens (to know) which of them should be the guardian of Mary, nor wast thou present with them when they quarrelled (thereupon). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

These accounts are from the Unseen, which We reveal to you, and you were not with them when they were casting lots [to see] which of them would take charge of Mary]s care, nor were you with them when they were contending. - Qarai, Ali Quli

When
قَالَتِ
said
ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
the malaikati,
يَٰمَرْيَمُ
[O Maryam!
إِنَّ
Surely
ٱللَّهَ
the One
يُبَشِّرُكِ
gives you good news
بِكَلِمَةٍۢ
regarding an order
مِّنْهُ
from Him,
ٱسْمُهُ
his name will be
ٱلْمَسِيحُ
al-Maseeh
عِيسَى
Essa
ٱبْنُ
son of
مَرْيَمَ
Maryam,
وَجِيهًۭا
purposeful
فِى
in
ٱلدُّنْيَا
the World
وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
and in the forth-coming,
وَمِنَ
and from
ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ
the ones who are close.]
٣
٤٥
إِذْ قَالَتِ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ يَٰمَرْيَمُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكِ بِكَلِمَةٍۢ مِّنْهُ ٱسْمُهُ ٱلْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ وَجِيهًۭا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَمِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ When said the malaikati, [O Maryam! Surely the One gives you good news regarding an order from Him, his name will be al-Maseeh Essa son of Maryam, purposeful in the World and in the forth-coming, and from the ones who are close.]

(And remember) when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a word from him, whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, illustrious in the world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near (unto Allah). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When the angels said, [O Mary, Allah gives you the good news of a Word from Him whose name is Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, distinguished in the world and the Hereafter and one of those brought near [to Allah]. - Qarai, Ali Quli

[Behold,] the angels told Mary, [God has given you the glad news of the coming birth of a son whom He calls His Word, whose name will be Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, who will be a man of honor in this life and the life to come, and who will be one of the ones nearest to God. - Sarwar, Muhammad

When the angels said: O Marium, surely Allah gives you good news with a Word from Him (of one) whose name is the '. Messiah, Isa son of Marium, worthy of regard in this world and the hereafter and of those who are made near (to Allah). - Shakir, Habib

اور اس وقت کو یاد کرو جب ملائکہ نے کہا کہ اے مریم خدا تم کو اپنے کلمہ مسیح عیسٰی علیھ السّلامبن مریم کی بشارت دے رہا ہے جو دنیا اور آخرت میں صاحبِ وجاہت اور مقربین بارگاہ الٰہی میں سے ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور جب فرشتوں نے کہا، ——اے مریمؑ! اللہ تجھے اپنے ایک فرمان کی خوش خبری دیتا ہے اُس کا نام مسیح عیسیٰ ابن مریم ہوگا، دنیا اور آخرت میں معزز ہوگا، اللہ کے مقرب بندوں میں شمار کیا جائے گا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور یاد کرو جب فرشتو ں نے مریم سے کہا، اے مریم! اللہ تجھے بشارت دیتا ہے اپنے پاس سے ایک کلمہ کی جس کا نام ہے مسیح عیسیٰ مریم کا بیٹا رُو دار (باعزت) ہوگا دنیا اور آخرت میں اور قرب والا - Ahmed Raza

اور (وہ وقت یاد کرو) جب فرشتوں نے کہا اے مریم! بے شک خدا آپ کو اپنے کلمہ کی خوشخبری دیتا ہے۔ جس کا نام مسیح عیسیٰ بن مریم ہوگا۔ جو دنیا و آخرت میں عزت و آبرو والا ہوگا۔ اور (خدا کے) مقرب بندوں میں سے ہوگا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

the constructive-workers.]
[And will speak with the people in the extreme youth, and as a grown up, and from the constructive-workers.]

He will speak unto mankind in his cradle and in his manhood, and he is of the righteous. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

وہ لوگوں سے گہوارہ میں بھی بات کرے گا اور بھرپور جوان ہونے کے بعد بھی اور صالحین میں سے ہوگا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

She said,
رَبِّ
[Rabb!
أَنَّىٰ
How can
يَكُونُ

وَلَدٌۭ
an offspring
وَلَمْ
while not
يَمْسَسْنِى
has touched me
بَشَرٌۭ
a man?]
ۖ
قَالَ
He said,
كَذَٰلِكِ
[Just like that (as if happens)
ٱللَّهُ
the One
يَخْلُقُ
creates
مَا
whatever
يَشَآءُ
He desires;
ۚ
إِذَا
whenever
قَضَىٰٓ
decides
أَمْرًۭا
an affair
فَإِنَّمَا
thus indeed
يَقُولُ
He says
لَهُۥ
for it
كُن
— [Be] —
فَيَكُونُ
thus it started to become.]

٤٧
قَالَتْ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِى وَلَدٌۭ وَلَمْ يَمْسَسْنِى بَشَرٌۭ ۖ قَالَ كَذَٰلِكِ ٱللَّهُ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ ۚ إِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمْرًۭا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ She said, [Rabb! How can there be for me an offspring while not has touched me a man?] He said, [Just like that (as if happens) the One creates whatever He desires; whenever decides an affair thus indeed He says for it — [Be] — thus it started to become.]

She said: My Lord! How can I have a child when no mortal hath touched me? He said: So (it will be). Allah createth what He will. If He decreeth a thing, He saith unto it only: Be! and it is. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

She said, [My Lord, how shall I have a child seeing that no human has ever touched me?] He said, [So it is that Allah creates whatever He wishes. When He decides on a matter He just says to it [[Be!]] and it is. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
(Mary) said, [How can there be a son for me when no mortal has touched me?] The angel replied, [That is how God creates whatever He wants. When He decides to do something He just orders it to exist and it comes into existence.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

She said: My Lord! when shall there be a son (born) to I me, and man has not touched me? He said: Even so, Allah creates what He pleases; when He has decreed a matter, He only says to it, Be, and it is. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
[Lord,] she said, [how can I have a child when no man has touched me?] [The angel] replied, [Thus it is: God creates what He wills: when He wills a thing He need only say, [Be,] and it is. - Wahiduddin Khan

مریم نے کہا کہ میرے یہاں فرزند کس طرح ہوگا جب کہ مجھ کو کسی بشر نے چھوا بھی نہیں ہے- ارشاد ہوا کہ اسی طرح خدا جو چاہتاہے پیدا کرتا ہے جب وہ کسی کام کا فیصلہ کرلیتا ہے تو کہتا ہے کہ ہوجا اور وہ چیز ہوجاتی ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یہ سن کر مریمؑ بولی، ——پروردگار! میرے ہاں بچہ کہاں سے ہوگا، مجھے تو کسی شخص نے ہاتھ تک نہیں لگایا—— جواب ملا، ——ایسا ہی ہوگا، اللہ جو چاہتا ہے پیدا کرتا ہے وہ جب کسی کام کے کرنے کا فیصلہ فرماتا ہے تو بس کہتا ہے کہ ہو جا اور وہ ہو جاتا ہے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

بولی اے میرے رب! میرے بچہ کہاں سے ہوگا مجھے تو کسی شخص نے ہاتھ نہ لگایا فرمایا اللہ یوں ہی پیدا کرتا ہے جو چاہے جب، کسی کام کا حکم فرمائے تو اس سے یہی کہتا ہے کہ ہوجا وہ فوراً ہوجاتا ہے، - Ahmed Raza

(یہ بشارت سن کر) مریم نے کہا: اے میرے پروردگار! میرے یہاں بچہ کہاں سے ہوگا۔ حالانکہ مجھے کسی انسان (مرد) نے ہاتھ تک نہیں لگایا؟ ارشاد ہوا: بات اسی طرح ہے مگر خدا جو چاہتا ہے (بلا اسباب بھی) پیدا کرتا ہے۔ جب وہ کسی کام کے کرنے کا فیصلہ کر لیتا ہے تو اسے حکم دیتا ہے کہ ہو جا تو بس وہ ہو جاتا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

ٱلْكِتَٰبَ

وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ
and the Wisdom,
وَٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ
and the Law,
وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ
and the Improved Knowledge.
And the One taught him (Essa) the Book, and the Wisdom, and the Law, and the Improved Knowledge.

And He will teach him the Scripture and wisdom, and the Torah and the Gospel, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

وَرَسُولًا إِلَىٰ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ أَنِّى قَدْ جِئْتُكُم بِـَٔايَةٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ ۖ أَنِّىٓ أَخْلُقُ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلطِّينِ كَهَيْـَٔةِ ٱلطَّيْرِ فَأَنفُخُ فِيهِ فَيَكُونُ طَيْرًۢا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَأُبْرِئُ ٱلْأَكْمَهَ وَٱلْأَبْرَصَ وَأُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا تَأْكُلُونَ وَمَا تَدَّخِرُونَ فِى بُيُوتِكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةًۭ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And will make him a messenger unto the Children of Israel, (saying): Lo! I come unto you with a sign from your Lord. Lo! I fashion for you out of clay the likeness of a bird, and I breathe into it and it is a bird, by Allah's leave. I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I raise the dead, by Allah's leave. And I announce unto you what ye eat and what ye store up in your houses. Lo! herein verily is a portent for you, if ye are to be believers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

and [he will be] an apostle to the Children of Israel, [and he will declare,] “I have certainly brought you a sign from your Lord: I will create for you the form of a bird out of clay, then I will breathe into it, and it will become a bird by Allah]s leave. I heal the blind and the leper and I revive the dead by Allah]s leave. I will tell you what you have eaten and what you have stored in your houses. There is indeed a sign in that for you, should you be faithful. - Qarai, Ali Quli

He will be a Messenger of God to the Israelites to whom he will say, [I have brought you a miracle from your Lord. I can create for you something from clay in the form of a bird. When I blow into it, it will become a real bird, by the permission of God. I can heal the blind and the lepers and bring the dead back to life, by the permission of God. I can tell you about what you eat and what you store in your homes. This is a miracle for you if you want to have faith. - Sarwar, Muhammad

اور اسے بنی اسرائیل کی طرف رسول بنائے گا اور وہ ان سے کہے گا کہ میں تمھارے پاس تمہارے پروردگار کی طرف سے نشانی لے کر آیا ہوں کہ میں تمہارے لئے مٹی سے پرندہ کی شکل بناؤں گا اور اس میں کچھ دم کردوں گا تو وہ حکهِ خدا سے پرندہ بن جائے گا اور میں پیدائشی اندھے اور َمبروص کا علاج کروں گا اور حکهِ خدا سے مفِدوں کو زندہ کروں گا اور تمہیں اس بات کی خبردوں گا کہ تم کیا کھاتے ہو اور کیا گھر میں ذخیرہ کرتے ہو- ان سب میں تمہارے لئے نشانیاں ہیں اگر تم صاحبانِ ایمان ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور بنی اسرائیل کی طرف اپنا رسول مقرر کرے گا—— (اور جب وہ بحیثیت رسول بنی اسرائیل کے پاس آیا تو اس نے کہا) ——میں تمہارے رب کی طرف سے تمہارے پاس نشانی لے کر آیا ہوں میں تمہارے سامنے مٹی سے پرندے کی صورت میں ایک مجسمہ بناتا ہوں اور اس میں پھونک مارتا ہوں، وہ اللہ کے حکم سے پرندہ بن جاتا ہے میں اللہ کے حکم سے مادر زاد اندھے اور کوڑھی کو اچھا کرتا ہوں اور مُردے کو زندہ کرتا ہوں میں تمہیں بتاتا ہوں کہ تم کیا کھاتے ہو اور کیا اپنے گھروں میں ذخیرہ کر کے رکھتے ہو اس میں تمہارے لیے کافی نشانی ہے اگر تم ایمان لانے والے ہو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور رسول ہوگا بنی اسرائیل کی طرف، یہ فرماتا ہو کہ میں تمہارے پاس ایک نشانی لایا ہوں تمہارے رب کی طرف سے کہ میں تمہارے لئے مٹی سے پرند کی سی مور ت بناتا ہوں پھر اس میں پھونک مارتا ہوں تو وہ فوراً پرند ہوجاتی ہے اللہ کے حکم سے اور میں شفا دیتا ہوں مادر زاد اندھے اور سفید داغ والے کو اور میں مُردے جلاتا ہوں اللہ کے حکم سے اور تمہیں بتاتا ہوں جو تم کھاتے اور جو اپنے گھروں میں جمع کر رکھتے ہو، بیشک ان باتوں میں تمہارے لئے بڑی نشانی ہے اگر تم ایمان رکھتے ہو، - Ahmed Raza

[And (I am) a source of confirmation (and disconfirmation)
لِّمَا
for what is
بَيْنَ

يَدَىَّ
your hands
مِنَ

ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ
the Jurisprudence,
وَلِأُحِلَّ
and to allow
لَكُم
for you
بَعْضَ
some of
ٱلَّذِى
that which
حُرِّمَ
was forbidden
عَلَيْكُمْ
upon you;
ۚ
وَجِئْتُكُم
and I come to you
بِـَٔايَةٍۢ
with signs
مِّن
of
رَّبِّكُمْ
your Rabb,
فَٱتَّقُوا۟
thus be aware of
ٱللَّهَ
the One
وَأَطِيعُونِ
and be obedient.]

٥٠
وَمُصَدِّقًۭا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَىَّ مِنَ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ وَلِأُحِلَّ لَكُم بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى حُرِّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ ۚ وَجِئْتُكُم بِـَٔايَةٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ [And (I am) a source of confirmation (and disconfirmation) for what is between your hands of the Jurisprudence, and to allow for you some of that which was forbidden upon you; and I come to you with signs of your Rabb, thus be aware of the One and be obedient.]

And (I come) confirming that which was before me of the Torah, and to make lawful some of that which was forbidden unto you. I come unto you with a sign from your Lord, so keep your duty to Allah and obey me. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And [I come] to confirm [the truth of] that which is before me of the Torah, and to make lawful for you some of the things that were forbidden you. I have brought you a sign from your Lord; so be wary of Allah and obey me. - Qarai, Ali Quli

[Surely
ٱللَّهَ

هَٰذَا
this is
صِرَٰطٌۭ
a path that is
مُّسْتَقِيمٌۭ
stable.]
[Surely the One is my Rabb and your Rabb, thus be in His servitude; this is a path that is stable.]

Then when
أَحَسَّ
felt
عِيسَىٰ
Essa
مِنْهُمُ
from them
ٱلْكُفْرَ
the denial,
قَالَ
he said,
مَنْ
[Who is
أَنصَارِىٓ
my helper
إِلَى
towards
ٱللَّهِ
the One?]
ۖ
قَالَ
Replied
ٱلْحَوَارِيُّونَ
the energetic companions,
نَحْنُ
[We are
أَنصَارُ
helpers of
ٱللَّهِ
the One,
ءَامَنَّا
having trust
بِٱللَّهِ
about the One
وَٱشْهَدْ
and testify
بِأَنَّا
about us
مُسْلِمُونَ
being in submission.]

٥٢
فَلَمَّآ أَحَسَّ عِيسَىٰ مِنْهُمُ ٱلْكُفْرَ قَالَ مَنْ أَنصَارِىٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ۖ قَالَ ٱلْحَوَارِيُّونَ نَحْنُ أَنصَارُ ٱللَّهِ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَٱشْهَدْ بِأَنَّا مُسْلِمُونَ Then when felt Essa from them the denial, he said, [Who is my helper towards the One?] Replied the energetic companions, [We are helpers of the One, having trust about the One and testify about us being in submission.]

But when Jesus became conscious of their disbelief, he cried: Who will be my helpers in the cause of Allah? The disciples said: We will be Allah's helpers. We believe in Allah, and bear thou witness that we have surrendered (unto Him). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When Jesus sensed their faithlessness, he said, [Who will be my helpers [on the path] toward Allah?] The Disciples said, [We will be helpers of Allah. We have faith in Allah, and you be witness that we have submitted [to Him]. - Qarai, Ali Quli

When Jesus found them denying the truth, he said, [Who will help me in the cause of God?] The disciples replied, [We are the helpers of God. We believe in Him. Jesus, bear witness that we have submitted ourselves to His will.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

But when Isa perceived unbelief on their part, he said Who will be my helpers in Allah's way? The disciples said: We are helpers (in the way) of Allah: We believe in Allah and bear witness that we are submitting ones. - Shakir, Habib

When Jesus perceived their denial, he said, [Who will be my helpers in God's cause?] The disciples said, [We are God's helpers, we believe in God. Bear witness that we have surrendered ourselves. - Wahiduddin Khan

پھر جب عیسٰی علیھ السّلام نے قوم سے کفر کا احساس کیا تو فرمایا کہ کون ہے جو خدا کی راہ میں میرا مددگار ہو...حواریین نے کہا کہ ہم اللہ کے مددگار ہیں- اس پر ایمان لائے ہیں اور آپ گواہ رہیں کہ ہم مسلمان ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

جب عیسیٰؑ نے محسوس کیا کہ بنی اسرائیل کفر و انکار پر آمادہ ہیں تو اس نے کہا ——کون اللہ کی راہ میں میرا مدد گار ہوتا ہے؟—— حواریوں نے جواب دیا، ——ہم اللہ کے مددگار ہیں، ہم اللہ پر ایمان لائے، گواہ رہو کہ ہم مسلم (اللہ کے آگے سر اطاعت جھکا دینے والے) ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

پھر جب عیسیٰ نے ان سے کفر پایا بولا کون میرے مددگار ہوتے ہیں اللہ کی طرف، حواریوں نے کہا ہم دینِ خدا کے مددگار ہیں ہم اللہ پر ایمان لائے، اور آپ گواہ ہوجائیں کہ ہم مسلمان ہیں - Ahmed Raza

we believe
بِمَآ

أَنزَلْتَ
You sent down,
وَٱتَّبَعْنَا
and we obey
ٱلرَّسُولَ
the messenger,
فَٱكْتُبْنَا
thus Write us
مَعَ
along
ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ
the witnesses.]
[Our Rabb we believe with what You sent down, and we obey the messenger, thus Write us along the witnesses.]
