شَهِدَ
Witnessed
ٱللَّهُ
the One,
أَنَّهُۥ
indeed He is —
لَآ
no
إِلَٰهَ
unchallenged master
إِلَّا
except
هُوَ
Him —
وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
and the malaikati,
وَأُو۟لُوا۟
and foremost of
ٱلْعِلْمِ
the knowledge,
قَآئِمًۢا
standing together
بِٱلْقِسْطِ
with the Justice;
ۚ
لَآ
no
إِلَٰهَ
unchallenged master
إِلَّا
except
هُوَ
He who is
ٱلْعَزِيزُ
the Fortified,
ٱلْحَكِيمُ
the Most Wise.
٣
١٨
شَهِدَ ٱللَّهُ أَنَّهُۥ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَأُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمِ قَآئِمًۢا بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۚ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ Witnessed the One, indeed He is — no unchallenged master except Him — and the malaikati, and foremost of the knowledge, standing together with the Justice; no unchallenged master except He who is the Fortified, the Most Wise.

Allah (Himself) is Witness that there is no Allah save Him. And the angels and the men of learning (too are witness). Maintaining His creation in justice, there is no Allah save Him the Almighty, the Wise. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Allah, maintainer of justice, the Almighty and the All-wise, besides whom there is no god, bears witness that there is no god except Him, and [so do] the angels and those who possess knowledge. - Qarai, Ali Quli

God Himself testifies that He is the only Lord. The angels and the men of knowledge and justice testify that God is the only Lord, the Majestic, and All-wise. - Sarwar, Muhammad

اللہ خود گواہ ہے کہ اس کے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں ہے ملائکہ اور صاحبانِ علم گواہ ہیں کہ وہ عدل کے ساتھ قائم ہے- اس کے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں ہے اور وہ صاحبِ عزّت و حکمت ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اللہ نے خود شہادت دی ہے کہ اس کے سوا کوئی خدا نہیں ہے، او ر (یہی شہادت) فرشتوں اور سب اہل علم نے بھی دی ہے وہ انصاف پر قائم ہے اُس زبردست حکیم کے سوا فی الواقع کوئی خدا نہیں ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اللہ نے گواہی دی کہ اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں اور فرشتوں نے اور عالموں نے انصاف سے قائم ہوکر اس کے سوا کسی کی عبادت نہیں عزت والا حکمت والا، - Ahmed Raza

إِنَّ
Surely
ٱلدِّينَ
the governance system
عِندَ
from
ٱللَّهِ
the One is
ٱلْإِسْلَٰمُ
the complete commitment,
ۗ
وَمَا
and not
ٱخْتَلَفَ
disputed
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
أُوتُوا۟
were given
ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
the Book
إِلَّا
except
مِنۢ
from
بَعْدِ
after
مَا
what
جَآءَهُمُ
came to them of
ٱلْعِلْمُ
the knowledge
بَغْيًۢا
out of revulsion
بَيْنَهُمْ
between themselves;
ۗ
وَمَن
and whoever
يَكْفُرْ
denies
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
about signs of
ٱللَّهِ
the One
فَإِنَّ
then certainly
ٱللَّهَ
the One is
سَرِيعُ
swift of
ٱلْحِسَابِ
the reckoning.
٣
١٩
إِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْإِسْلَٰمُ ۗ وَمَا ٱخْتَلَفَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْعِلْمُ بَغْيًۢا بَيْنَهُمْ ۗ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ Surely the governance system from the One is the complete commitment, and not disputed the ones who were given the Book except from after what came to them of the knowledge out of revulsion between themselves; and whoever denies about signs of the One then certainly the One is swift of the reckoning.

Lo! religion with Allah (is) the Surrender (to His Will and Guidance). Those who (formerly) received the Scripture differed only after knowledge came unto them, through transgression among themselves. Whoso disbelieveth the revelations of Allah (will find that) lo! Allah is swift at reckoning. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Indeed, with Allah religion is Islam, and those who were given the Book did not differ except after knowledge had come to them, out of envy among themselves. And whoever denies Allah]s signs [should know that] Allah is swift at reckoning. - Qarai, Ali Quli

In the sight of God Islam is the religion. The People of the Book created differences in the matters (of religion) because of their hostility among themselves, only after knowledge had come to them. Let whoever denies the revelations of God know that the reckoning of God is swift. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Surely the (true) religion with Allah is Islam, and those to whom the Book had been given did not show opposition but after knowledge had come to them, out of envy among themselves; and whoever disbelieves in the communications of Allah then surely Allah is quick in reckoning. - Shakir, Habib

The only true religion in God's sight is complete submission to God. And those who were given the Book disagreed only out of rivalry, after knowledge had been given to them -- he who denies God's signs should know that God is swift in His reckoning. - Wahiduddin Khan

دین,اللہ کے نزدیک صرف اسلام ہے اور اہل کتاب نے علم آنے کے بعد ہی جھگڑا شروع کیا ہے صرف آپس کی شرارتوں کی بنائ پر اور جو بھی آیات الٰہی کا انکار کرے گا تو خدا بہت جلد حساب کرنے والا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اللہ کے نزدیک دین صرف اسلام ہے اس دین سے ہٹ کر جو مختلف طریقے اُن لوگوں نے اختیار کیے، جنہیں کتاب دی گئی تھی، اُن کے اِس طرز عمل کی کوئی وجہ اس کے سوا نہ تھی کہ انہوں نے علم آ جانے کے بعد آپس میں ایک دوسرے پر زیادتی کرنے کے لیے ایسا کیا اور جو کوئی اللہ کے احکام و ہدایات کی اطاعت سے انکار کر دے، اللہ کو اس سے حساب لیتے کچھ دیر نہیں لگتی ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

بیشک اللہ کے یہاں اسلام ہی دین ہے اور پھوٹ میں نہ پڑے کتابی مگر اس کے کہ انہیں علم آچکا اپنے دلو ں کی جلن سے اور جو اللہ کی آیتوں کا منکر ہو تو بیشک اللہ جلد حساب لینے والا ہے، - Ahmed Raza

بے شک خدا کے نزدیک سچا دین صرف اسلام ہے اور اہل کتاب نے (دین حق میں) اختلاف نہیں کیا مگر اپنے پاس علم آجانے (اور اصل حقیقت معلوم ہو جانے) کے بعد۔ محض آپس کی شرارت و ضد اور ناحق کوشی کی بنا پر اور جو بھی آیاتِ الٰہیہ کا انکار کرے گا تو یقینا خدا بہت جلد حساب لینے والا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

فَإِنْ
Then if
حَآجُّوكَ
they argue with you
فَقُلْ
so say,
أَسْلَمْتُ
[I have submitted
وَجْهِىَ
my aim
لِلَّهِ
for the One
وَمَنِ
and who
ٱتَّبَعَنِ
followed.]
ۗ
وَقُل
And say
لِّلَّذِينَ
to the ones who
أُوتُوا۟
have been given
ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
the Book
وَٱلْأُمِّيِّـۧنَ
and those who have not read,
ءَأَسْلَمْتُمْ
[Do you submit?]
ۚ
فَإِنْ
Then if
أَسْلَمُوا۟
they submit
فَقَدِ
then surely
ٱهْتَدَوا۟
they are guided.
ۖ
وَّإِن
And if
تَوَلَّوْا۟
they turn back
فَإِنَّمَا
then it is only that
عَلَيْكَ
upon you is
ٱلْبَلَٰغُ
the notification;
ۗ
وَٱللَّهُ
and the One is
بَصِيرٌۢ
watchful
بِٱلْعِبَادِ
about (His) slaves.
٣
٢٠
فَإِنْ حَآجُّوكَ فَقُلْ أَسْلَمْتُ وَجْهِىَ لِلَّهِ وَمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَنِ ۗ وَقُل لِّلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْأُمِّيِّـۧنَ ءَأَسْلَمْتُمْ ۚ فَإِنْ أَسْلَمُوا۟ فَقَدِ ٱهْتَدَوا۟ ۖ وَّإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْبَلَٰغُ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرٌۢ بِٱلْعِبَادِ Then if they argue with you so say, [I have submitted my aim for the One and who followed.] And say to the ones who have been given the Book and those who have not read, [Do you submit?] Then if they submit then surely they are guided. And if they turn back then it is only that upon you is the notification; and the One is watchful about (His) slaves.

And if they argue with thee, (O Muhammad), say: I have surrendered my purpose to Allah and (so have) those who follow me. And say unto those who have received the Scripture and those who read not: Have ye (too) surrendered? If they surrender, then truly they are rightly guided, and if they turn away, then it is thy duty only to convey the message (unto them). Allah is Seer of (His) bondmen. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

If they argue with you, say, [I have submitted my will to Allah, and [so has] he who follows me.] And say to those who were given the Book and the uninstructed ones, [Do you submit?] If they submit, they will certainly be guided; but if they turn away, then your duty is only to communicate, and Allah watches His servants. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), if the People of the Book argue against you, say, [I and those who follow me have submitted ourselves to God.] Ask the People of the Book and the illiterate ones, [Have you embraced Islam?] If they embrace Islam, they will find guidance but if they turn away, your task is just to preach. God knows all about His servants. - Sarwar, Muhammad

But if they dispute with you, say: I have submitted myself entirely to Allah and (so) every one who follows me; and say to those who have been given the Book and the unlearned people: Do you submit yourselves? So if they submit then indeed they follow the right way; and if they turn back, then upon you is only the delivery of the message and Allah sees the servants. - Shakir, Habib

If they dispute with you, say, [I have submitted my whole being to God and so have those who follow me.] And ask those who have been given the Book, as well as the unlettered, [Do you submit yourselves to God in the same way?] If they submit themselves to Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away, your duty is only to convey the message. God is observant of all His servants. - Wahiduddin Khan

اے پیغمبر اگر یہ لوگ آپ سے کٹ حجتی کریں تو کہہ دیجئے کہ میرا رخ تمام تر اللہ کی طرف ہے اور میرے پیرو بھی ایسے ہی ہیں اور پھر اہلِ کتاب اور جاہل مشرکین سے پوچھئے کیا تم اسلام لے آئے- اگر وہ اسلام لے آئے تو گویا ہدایت پاگئے اور اگر منہ پھیر لیا تو آپ کا فرض صرف تبلیغ تھا اور اللہ اپنے بندوں کو خوب پہچانتا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اب اگر یہ لوگ تم سے جھگڑا کریں، توا ن سے کہو: ——میں نے اور میرے پیروؤں نے تو اللہ کے آگے سر تسلیم خم کر دیا ہے—— پھر اہل کتاب اور غیر اہل کتاب دونوں سے پوچھو: ——کیا تم نے بھی اس کی اطاعت و بندگی قبول کی؟—— اگر کی تو وہ راہ راست پا گئے، اور اگر اس سے منہ موڑا تو تم پر صرف پیغام پہنچا دینے کی ذمہ داری تھی آگے اللہ خود اپنے بندوں کے معاملات دیکھنے والا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

پھر اے محبوب! اگر وہ تم سے حجت کریں تو فرمادو میں اپنا منہ اللہ کے حضور جھکائے ہوں اور جومیرے پیرو ہوئے اور کتابیوں اور اَن پڑھوں سے فرماؤ کیا تم نے گردن رکھی پس اگر وہ گردن رکھیں جب تو راہ پاگئے اور اگر منہ پھیریں تو تم پر تو یہی حکم پہنچادینا ہے اور اللہ بندوں کو کو دیکھ رہا ہے، - Ahmed Raza

پس اگر یہ لوگ آپ سے خواہ مخواہ حجت بازی کریں۔ تو کہہ دو کہ میں نے اور میری پیروی کرنے والوں نے تو اپنا سر خدا کے سامنے جھکا دیا ہے (اپنے کو اس کے سپرد کر دیا ہے) اور اہل کتاب اور جو کسی کتاب کے پڑھنے والے نہیں ہیں سے کہو: کیا تم بھی اسلام لائے ہو؟ پس اگر انہوں نے اسلام کا اقرار کر لیا تو گویا ہدایت پا گئے اور اگر (اس سے) منہ موڑا تو آپ کا فرض تو صرف پہنچا دینا ہے (منوانا نہیں ہے)۔ اور اللہ (اپنے) بندوں کو خوب دیکھنے (اور پہچاننے والا ہے)۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Surely
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
يَكْفُرُونَ
lie
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
about signs of
ٱللَّهِ
the One
وَيَقْتُلُونَ
and they kill (or corner)
ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ
the revolutionary leaders
بِغَيْرِ
without
حَقٍّۢ
right,
وَيَقْتُلُونَ
and they kill (or corner)
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
يَأْمُرُونَ
set affairs
بِٱلْقِسْطِ
with justice
مِنَ
of
ٱلنَّاسِ
the people,
فَبَشِّرْهُم
thus give them good news
بِعَذَابٍ
about a punishment
أَلِيمٍ
of suffering.

٢١
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَكْفُرُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّۢ وَيَقْتُلُونَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَأْمُرُونَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ فَبَشِّرْهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ Surely the ones who lie about signs of the One and they kill (or corner) the revolutionary leaders without right, and they kill (or corner) the ones who set affairs with justice of the people, thus give them good news about a punishment of suffering.

Lo! those who disbelieve the revelations of Allah, and slay the prophets wrongfully, and slay those of mankind who enjoin equity: promise them a painful doom. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Those who deny Allah]s signs and kill the prophets unjustly and kill those who call for justice from among the people, inform them of a painful punishment. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Warn those who deny the revelations of God and unjustly slay the Prophets and those who call people to be just, that they will suffer a painful torment. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Surely (as for) those who disbelieve in the communications of Allah and slay the prophets unjustly and slay those among men who enjoin justice, announce to them a painful chastisement. - Shakir, Habib

Those who deny God's signs and kill the prophets unjustly and kill those who enjoin justice, give them warning of a woeful punishment, - Wahiduddin Khan

جو لوگ آیات الٰہیہ کا انکار کرتے ہیں اور ناحق انبیائ کو قتل کرتے ہیں اور ان لوگوں کو قتل کرتے ہیں جو عدل و انصاف کا حکم دینے والے ہیں انہیں دردناک عذاب کی خبرصَنادیجئے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

جو لوگ اللہ کے احکام و ہدایات کو ماننے سے انکار کرتے ہیں اور اس کے پیغمبروں کو ناحق قتل کرتے ہیں اور ایسے لوگوں کی جان کے درپے ہو جاتے ہیں، جو خلق خدا میں عدل و راستی کا حکم دینے کے لیے اٹھیں، ان کو درد ناک سزا کی خوش خبری سنا دو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

وہ جو اللہ کی آیتوں سے منکر ہوتے اور پیغمبروں کو ناحق شہید کرتے اور انصاف کا حکم کرنے والوں کو قتل کرتے ہیں انہیں خوشخبری دو درناک عذاب کی، - Ahmed Raza

جو لوگ اللہ کی آیات کا انکار کرتے ہیں اور پیغمبروں کو ناحق قتل کرتے ہیں اور ایسے لوگوں کو بھی قتل کرتے ہیں جو عدل و انصاف کا حکم دیتے ہیں انہیں دردناک عذاب کا مژدہ سناؤ۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Those are
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
حَبِطَتْ
ruined
أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ
their deeds
فِى
in
ٱلدُّنْيَا
the World
وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
and the forth-coming,
وَمَا
and not
لَهُم
for them is
مِّن
of
نَّٰصِرِينَ
saviours.

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن نَّٰصِرِينَ Those are the ones who ruined their deeds in the World and the forth-coming, and not for them is of saviours.

Those are they whose works have failed in the world and the Hereafter; and they have no helpers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Do not
تَرَ
you see
إِلَى
at
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
أُوتُوا۟
are given
نَصِيبًۭا
an instalment
مِّنَ
of
ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
the Book,
يُدْعَوْنَ
them being invited
إِلَىٰ
towards
كِتَٰبِ
book of
ٱللَّهِ
the One
لِيَحْكُمَ
so they can judge
بَيْنَهُمْ
amongst themselves,
ثُمَّ
but then
يَتَوَلَّىٰ
about turn
فَرِيقٌۭ
sectarians
مِّنْهُمْ
from them
وَهُم
and they are
مُّعْرِضُونَ
apologetic?
٣
٢٣
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ نَصِيبًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ يُدْعَوْنَ إِلَىٰ كِتَٰبِ ٱللَّهِ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَهُمْ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّىٰ فَرِيقٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ وَهُم مُّعْرِضُونَ Do not you see at the ones who are given an instalment of the Book, them being invited towards book of the One so they can judge amongst themselves, but then about turn sectarians from them and they are apologetic?

Hast thou not seen how those who have received a portion of the Scripture invoke the Scripture of Allah (in their disputes) that it may judge between them; then a faction of them turn away, being opposed (to it)? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Have you not regarded those who were given a share of the Book, who are summoned to the Book of Allah in order that it may judge between them, whereat a part of them refuse to comply and they are disregardful? - Qarai, Ali Quli

That is
بِأَنَّهُمْ
due to their
قَالُوا۟
saying,
لَن
[Never shall
تَمَسَّنَا
touch us
ٱلنَّارُ
the fire
إِلَّآ
except
أَيَّامًۭا
for a days
مَّعْدُودَٰتٍۢ
limited in numbers],
ۖ
وَغَرَّهُمْ
and deluded them
فِى
in
دِينِهِم
their governance system
مَّا
what
كَانُوا۟
they were
يَفْتَرُونَ
inventing.
٣
٢٤
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا۟ لَن تَمَسَّنَا ٱلنَّارُ إِلَّآ أَيَّامًۭا مَّعْدُودَٰتٍۢ ۖ وَغَرَّهُمْ فِى دِينِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ That is due to their saying, [Never shall touch us the fire except for a days limited in numbers], and deluded them in their governance system what they were inventing.

That is because they say: The Fire will not touch us save for a certain number of days. That which they used to invent hath deceived them regarding their religion. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

That is because they say, [The Fire shall not touch us except for a number of days,] and they have been misled in their religion by what they used to fabricate. - Qarai, Ali Quli

because of their belief that the fire will only touch them for a few days. This fabricated belief has deceived them in matters of their religion. - Sarwar, Muhammad

This is because they say: The fire shall not touch us but for a few days; and what they have forged deceives them in the matter of their religion. - Shakir, Habib

That is because they say, [The Fire will touch us only for a limited number of days.] Thus the false beliefs which they have invented have deluded them in the matter of their religion. - Wahiduddin Khan

یہ اس لئے کہ ان کا عقیدہ ہے کہ انہیں آتش جہّنم صرف چند دن کے لئے چھوئے گی اور ان کو دین کے بارے میں ان کی افتراپردازیوں نے دھوکہ میں رکھا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ان کا یہ طرز عمل اس وجہ سے ہے کہ وہ کہتے ہیں ——آتش دوزخ تو ہمیں مس تک نہ کرے گی اور اگر دوزخ کی سزا ہم کو ملے گی بھی تو بس چند روز—— اُن کے خود ساختہ عقیدوں نے اُن کو اپنے دین کے معاملے میں بڑی غلط فہمیوں میں ڈال رکھا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

یہ جرأت انہیں اس لئے ہوئی کہ وہ کہتے ہیں ہرگز ہمیں آگ نہ چھوئے گی مگر گنتی کے دنوں اور ان کے دین میں انہیں فریب دیا اس جھوٹ نے جو باندھتے تھے - Ahmed Raza

So how then
إِذَا
when
جَمَعْنَٰهُمْ
We will collect them
لِيَوْمٍۢ
for a day
لَّا
no
رَيْبَ
doubt
فِيهِ
is in it,
وَوُفِّيَتْ
and will be satisfied
كُلُّ
every
نَفْسٍۢ
psyche
مَّا
what
كَسَبَتْ
it earned,
وَهُمْ
and they
لَا
not will be
يُظْلَمُونَ
done injustice to.

٢٥
فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جَمَعْنَٰهُمْ لِيَوْمٍۢ لَّا رَيْبَ فِيهِ وَوُفِّيَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍۢ مَّا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ So how then when We will collect them for a day no doubt is in it, and will be satisfied every psyche what it earned, and they not will be done injustice to.

How (will it be with them) when We have brought them all together to a Day of which there is no doubt, when every soul will be paid in full what it hath earned, and they will not be wronged. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

But how will it be [with them] when We gather them on a day in which there is no doubt, and every soul shall be recompensed fully for what it has earned, and they will not be wronged? - Qarai, Ali Quli

What will happen to their belief when We bring them together on the Inevitable Day when every soul will be justly recompensed for its deeds? - Sarwar, Muhammad

Then how will it be when We shall gather them together on a day about which there is no doubt, and every soul shall be fully paid what it has earned, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly? - Shakir, Habib

How will it be when We gather them all together upon a Day which is sure to come, when every human being shall be repaid in full for what he has done? They will not be wronged. - Wahiduddin Khan

اس وقت کیا ہوگا جب ہم سب کو اس دن جمع کریں گے جس میں کسی شک اور شبہہ کی گنجائش نہیں ہے اور ہر نفس کو اس کے کئے کا پورا پورا بدلہ دیا جائے گا اور کسی پر کوئی ظلم نہیں کیا جائے گا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

مگر کیا بنے گی اُن پر جب ہم انہیں اُس روز جمع کریں گے جس کا آنا یقینی ہے؟ اس روز ہر شخص کو اس کی کمائی کا بدلہ پورا پورا دے دیا جائیگا اور کسی پر ظلم نہ ہوگا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تو کیسی ہوگی جب ہم انہیں اکٹھا کریں گے اس دن کے لئے جس میں شک نہیں اور ہر جان کو اس کی کمائی پوری بھر (بالکل پوری) دی جائے گی اور ان پر ظلم نہ ہوگا، - Ahmed Raza

Say,
ٱللَّهُمَّ
[O Master of all of them!
مَٰلِكَ
King of
ٱلْمُلْكِ
the kingdom;
تُؤْتِى
You give
ٱلْمُلْكَ
the ownership to
مَن
whom
تَشَآءُ
You wish
وَتَنزِعُ
and You remove
ٱلْمُلْكَ
the ownership
مِمَّن
from whom
تَشَآءُ
You wish,
وَتُعِزُّ
and You promote
مَن
who
تَشَآءُ
You wish to
وَتُذِلُّ
and You demote
مَن
who
تَشَآءُ
You wish to;
ۖ
بِيَدِكَ
— by Your hand is
ٱلْخَيْرُ
the best —
ۖ
إِنَّكَ
certainly You
عَلَىٰ
upon
كُلِّ
all
شَىْءٍۢ
things
قَدِيرٌۭ
are capable.]
٣
٢٦
قُلِ ٱللَّهُمَّ مَٰلِكَ ٱلْمُلْكِ تُؤْتِى ٱلْمُلْكَ مَن تَشَآءُ وَتَنزِعُ ٱلْمُلْكَ مِمَّن تَشَآءُ وَتُعِزُّ مَن تَشَآءُ وَتُذِلُّ مَن تَشَآءُ ۖ بِيَدِكَ ٱلْخَيْرُ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ Say, [O Master of all of them! King of the kingdom; You give the ownership to whom You wish and You remove the ownership from whom You wish, and You promote who You wish to and You demote who You wish to; — by Your hand is the best — certainly You upon all things are capable.]

Say: O Allah! Owner of Sovereignty! Thou givest sovereignty unto whom Thou wilt, and Thou withdrawest sovereignty from whom Thou wilt. Thou exaltest whom Thou wilt, and Thou abasest whom Thou wilt. In Thy hand is the good. Lo! Thou art Able to do all things. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Say, [O Allah, Master of all sovereignty! You give sovereignty to whomever You wish, and strip of sovereignty whomever You wish; You make mighty whomever You wish, and You degrade whomever You wish; all choice is in Your hand. Indeed You have power over all things.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), say, [Lord, Owner of the Kingdom, You give authority to whomever You want and take it away from whomever You want. You give honor to whomever You want and humiliate whomever You want. In Your hands is all virtue and You have power over all things. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Say: O Allah, Master of the Kingdom! Thou givest the kingdom to whomsoever Thou pleasest and takest away the kingdom from whomsoever Thou pleasest, and Thou exaltest whom Thou pleasest and abasest whom Thou pleasest in Thine hand is the good; surety, Thou hast power over all things. - Shakir, Habib

Say, [Lord, sovereign of all sovereignty. You bestow sovereignty on whom you will and take it away from whom You please; You exalt whoever You will and abase whoever You will. All that is good lies in Your hands. You have the power to will anything. - Wahiduddin Khan

پیغمبر آپ کہئے کہ خدایا تو صاحب هاقتدار ہے جس کو چاہتا ہے اقتدار دیتا ہے اور جس سے چاہتا ہے سلب کرلیتا ہے- جس کو چاہتا ہے عزّت دیتا ہے اور جس کو چاہتا ہے ذلیل کرتا ہے- سارا خیر تیرے ہاتھ میں ہے اور تو ہی ہر شے پر قادر ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

کہو! خدایا! مُلک کے مالک! تو جسے چاہے، حکومت دے اور جسے چاہے، چھین لے جسے چاہے، عزت بخشے اور جس کو چاہے، ذلیل کر دے بھلائی تیرے اختیار میں ہے بیشک تو ہر چیز پر قادر ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

یوں عرض کر، اے اللہ! ملک کے مالک تو جسے چاہے سلطنت دے اور جس سے چاہے چھین لے، اور جسے چاہے عزت دے اور جسے چاہے ذلت دے، ساری بھلائی تیرے ہی ہاتھ ہے، بیشک تو سب کچھ کرسکتا ہے - Ahmed Raza

وَتُخْرِجُ
and You bring out
ٱلْحَىَّ
the life
مِنَ
from
ٱلْمَيِّتِ
the dead
وَتُخْرِجُ
and You bring out
ٱلْمَيِّتَ
the dead
مِنَ
from
ٱلْحَىِّ
the life;
ۖ
وَتَرْزُقُ
and You provide provisions to
مَن
whom
تَشَآءُ
You wish to
بِغَيْرِ
without
حِسَابٍۢ
limit.]

٢٧
تُولِجُ ٱلَّيْلَ فِى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَتُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِى ٱلَّيْلِ ۖ وَتُخْرِجُ ٱلْحَىَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَيِّتِ وَتُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَيِّتَ مِنَ ٱلْحَىِّ ۖ وَتَرْزُقُ مَن تَشَآءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍۢ [You make enter the dark in the day-burst, and You make enter the day in the night; and You bring out the life from the dead and You bring out the dead from the life; and You provide provisions to whom You wish to without limit.]

Thou causest the night to pass into the day, and Thou causest the day to pass into the night. And Thou bringest forth the living from the dead, and Thou bringest forth the dead from the living. And Thou givest sustenance to whom Thou choosest, without stint. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

[You make the night pass into the day and You make the day pass into the night. You bring forth the living from the dead and You bring forth the dead from the living, and You provide for whomever You wish without any reckoning.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

You cause the day to enter into the night and the night to enter into the day. You cause the living to come out of the dead and the dead to come out of the living. You give sustenance to whomever You want without keeping an account. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Thou makest the night to pass into the day and Thou makest the day to pass into the night, and Thou bringest forth the living from the dead and Thou bringest forth the dead from the living, and Thou givest sustenance to whom Thou pleasest without measure. - Shakir, Habib

Not are
يَتَّخِذِ
to take
ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
the ones of conviction,
ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
the denying people
أَوْلِيَآءَ
as guardians
مِن
from
دُونِ
other than
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
the ones of conviction;
ۖ
وَمَن
and whoever
يَفْعَلْ
does
ذَٰلِكَ
that
فَلَيْسَ
thus not (expect)
مِنَ
from
ٱللَّهِ
the One
فِى
in
شَىْءٍ
that thing,
إِلَّآ
except
أَن
that
تَتَّقُوا۟
you are aware
مِنْهُمْ
of them
تُقَىٰةًۭ
being strong;
ۗ
وَيُحَذِّرُكُمُ
and you are being alerted by
ٱللَّهُ
the One
نَفْسَهُۥ
Himself;
ۗ
وَإِلَى
and towards
ٱللَّهِ
the One is
ٱلْمَصِيرُ
the destination.

لَّا يَتَّخِذِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۖ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ فَلَيْسَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ فِى شَىْءٍ إِلَّآ أَن تَتَّقُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ تُقَىٰةًۭ ۗ وَيُحَذِّرُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ نَفْسَهُۥ ۗ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمَصِيرُ Not are to take the ones of conviction, the denying people as guardians from other than the ones of conviction; and whoever does that thus not (expect) from the One in that thing, except that you are aware of them being strong; and you are being alerted by the One Himself; and towards the One is the destination.

Let not the believers take disbelievers for their friends in preference to believers. Whoso doeth that hath no connection with Allah unless (it be) that ye but guard yourselves against them, taking (as it were) security. Allah biddeth you beware (only) of Himself. Unto Allah is the journeying. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

The faithful should not take the faithless for allies instead of the faithful, and Allah will have nothing to do with those who do that, except when you are wary of them, out of caution. Allah warns you to beware of [disobeying] Him, and toward Allah is the return. - Qarai, Ali Quli

The believers must not establish friendship with the unbelievers in preference to the faithful. Whoever does so has nothing to hope for from God unless he does it out of fear or taqiyah (pious dissimulation). God warns you about Himself. To God do all things return. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Let not the believers take the unbelievers for friends rather than believers; and whoever does this, he shall have nothing of (the guardianship of) Allah, but you should guard yourselves against them, guarding carefully; and Allah makes you cautious of (retribution from) Himself; and to Allah is the eventual coming. - Shakir, Habib

Let not the believers take those who deny the truth for their allies in preference to the believers, anyone who does that will isolate himself completely from God, unless it be to protect yourselves against them in this way. God admonishes you to fear Him: for, to God shall all return. - Wahiduddin Khan

خبردار صاحبانِ ایمان .مومنین کو چھوڑ کر کفار کو اپنا و لی اور سرپرست نہ بنائیں کہ جو بھی ایسا کرے گا اس کا خدا سے کوئی تعلق نہ ہوگا مگر یہ کہ تمہیں کفار سے خوف ہو تو کوئی حرج بھی نہیں ہے اور خدا تمہیں اپنی ہستی سے ڈراتا ہے اور اسی کی طرف پلٹ کر جانا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

مومنین اہل ایمان کو چھوڑ کر کافروں کو اپنا رفیق اور دوست ہرگز نہ بنائیں جو ایسا کرے گا اس کا اللہ سے کوئی تعلق نہیں ہاں یہ معاف ہے کہ تم ان کے ظلم سے بچنے کے لیے بظاہر ایسا طرز عمل اختیار کر جاؤ مگر اللہ تمہیں اپنے آپ سے ڈراتا ہے اور تمہیں اسی کی طرف پلٹ کر جانا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

مسلمان کافروں کو اپنا دوست نہ بنالیں مسلمانوں کے سوا اور جو ایسا کرے گا اسے اللہ سے کچھ علاقہ نہ رہا مگر یہ کہ تم ان سے کچھ ڈرو اور اللہ تمہیں اپنے غضب سے ڈراتا ہے اور اللہ ہی کی طرف پھرنا ہے، - Ahmed Raza

(خبردار) اہل ایمان، اہل ایمان کو چھوڑ کر کافروں کو دوست (اور سرپرست) نہ بنائیں۔ اور جو ایسا کرے گا۔ اس کا خدا سے کوئی تعلق اور سروکار نہیں ہوگا۔ مگر یہ کہ تمہیں ان (کافروں) سے خوف ہو تو پھر (بقصد تقیہ اور بچاؤ) ایسا کرنے میں کوئی حرج نہیں ہے۔ اور خدا تمہیں اپنی ذات سے ڈراتا ہے اور خدا ہی کی طرف پلٹ کر جانا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
