وَوَصَّيْنَا
And We have enjoined upon
ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ
the human
بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ
with his parents
حُسْنًۭا
a beautiful conduct;
ۖ
وَإِن
and if
جَٰهَدَاكَ
they push you
لِتُشْرِكَ
to add
بِى
with Me,
مَا
that which
لَيْسَ
not
لَكَ
with you is
بِهِۦ
about it
عِلْمٌۭ
any knowledge,
فَلَا
then don't
تُطِعْهُمَآ
obey them;
ۚ
إِلَىَّ
to Me
مَرْجِعُكُمْ
you all will return,
فَأُنَبِّئُكُم
then I will inform you
بِمَا
with what
كُنتُمْ
you were
تَعْمَلُونَ
doing.

٨
وَوَصَّيْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ حُسْنًۭا ۖ وَإِن جَٰهَدَاكَ لِتُشْرِكَ بِى مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلْمٌۭ فَلَا تُطِعْهُمَآ ۚ إِلَىَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ And We have enjoined upon the human with his parents a beautiful conduct; and if they push you to add with Me, that which not with you is about it any knowledge, then don't obey them; to Me you all will return, then I will inform you with what you were doing.

We have enjoined on man kindness to parents; but if they strive to make thee join with Me that of which thou hast no knowledge, then obey them not. Unto Me is your return and I shall tell you what ye used to do. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

اور ہم نے انسان کو ماں باپ کے ساتھ نیک برتاؤ کرنے کی نصیحت کی ہے اور بتایا ہے کہ اگر وہ کسی ایسی شے کو میرا شریک بنانے پر مجبور کریں جس کا تمہیں علم نہیں ہے تو خبردار ان کی اطاعت نہ کرنا کہ تم سب کی بازگشت میری ہی طرف ہے پھر میں بتاؤں گا کہ تم لوگ کیا کررہے تھے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ہم نے انسان کو ہدایت کی ہے کہ اپنے والدین کے ساتھ نیک سلوک کرے لیکن اگر وہ تجھ پر زور ڈالیں کہ تو میرے ساتھ کسی ایسے (معبُود) کو شریک ٹھیرائے جسے تو (میرے شریک کی حیثیت سے) نہیں جانتا تو ان کی اطاعت نہ کر میری ہی طرف تم سب کو پلٹ کر آنا ہے، پھر میں تم کو بتا دوں گا کہ تم کیا کرتے رہے ہو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ہم نے آدمی کو تاکید کی اپنے ماں باپ کے ساتھ بھلائی کی اور اگر تو وہ تجھ سے کوشش کریں کہ تو میرا شریک ٹھہرائے جس کا تجھے علم نہیں تو تُو ان کا کہا نہ مان میری ہی طرف تمہارا پھرنا ہے تو میں بتادوں گا تمہیں جو تم کرتے تھے - Ahmed Raza

اور ہم نے انسان کو وصیت کی ہے یعنی حکم دیا ہے کہ وہ اپنے والدین کے ساتھ اچھا سلوک کرے اور (یہ بھی کہ) اگر وہ تجھ پر زور ڈالیں کہ تو کسی ایسی چیز کو میرا شریک بنا جس کا تجھے کوئی علم نہیں ہے تو پھر ان کی اطاعت نہ کر تم سب کی بازگشت میری ہی طرف ہے تو میں تمہیں بتاؤں گا جو کچھ تم کیا کرتے تھے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
