لَآ
There is no
إِكْرَاهَ
coercion
فِى
in
ٱلدِّينِ
this governance system;
ۖ
قَد
certainly
تَّبَيَّنَ
has become distinct
ٱلرُّشْدُ
the rationality
مِنَ
from
ٱلْغَىِّ
the irrationality;
ۚ
فَمَن
thus who
يَكْفُرْ
renounces
بِٱلطَّٰغُوتِ
about the tyrannical system
وَيُؤْمِنۢ
and puts his trust
بِٱللَّهِ
with the One,
فَقَدِ
thus surely
ٱسْتَمْسَكَ
has become tied
بِٱلْعُرْوَةِ
with the rope
ٱلْوُثْقَىٰ
that is most reliable,
لَا
no
ٱنفِصَامَ
splitting
لَهَا
for it;
ۗ
وَٱللَّهُ
and the One is
سَمِيعٌ
hearing,
عَلِيمٌ
knowledged.

٢٥٦
لَآ إِكْرَاهَ فِى ٱلدِّينِ ۖ قَد تَّبَيَّنَ ٱلرُّشْدُ مِنَ ٱلْغَىِّ ۚ فَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِٱلطَّٰغُوتِ وَيُؤْمِنۢ بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدِ ٱسْتَمْسَكَ بِٱلْعُرْوَةِ ٱلْوُثْقَىٰ لَا ٱنفِصَامَ لَهَا ۗ وَٱللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ There is no coercion in this governance system; certainly has become distinct the rationality from the irrationality; thus who renounces about the tyrannical system and puts his trust with the One, thus surely has become tied with the rope that is most reliable, no splitting for it; and the One is hearing, knowledged.

There is no compulsion in religion. The right direction is henceforth distinct from error. And he who rejecteth false deities and believeth in Allah hath grasped a firm handhold which will never break. Allah is Hearer, Knower. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

دین کے معاملے میں کوئی زور زبردستی نہیں ہے صحیح بات غلط خیالات سے ا لگ چھانٹ کر رکھ دی گئی ہے اب جو کوئی طاغوت کا انکار کر کے اللہ پر ایمان لے آیا، اُس نے ایک ایسا مضبوط سہارا تھام لیا، جو کبھی ٹوٹنے والا نہیں، اور اللہ (جس کا سہارا اس نے لیا ہے) سب کچھ سننے اور جاننے والا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala
