يَكَادُ
The blazing spark of
ٱلْبَرْقُ
the lightning (the Creator's message)
يَخْطَفُ
snatches
أَبْصَٰرَهُمْ
their sights;
ۖ
كُلَّمَآ
whatever
أَضَآءَ
shines
لَهُم
to them
مَّشَوْا۟
they walk
فِيهِ
in it,
وَإِذَآ
and whenever
أَظْلَمَ
it becomes dark
عَلَيْهِمْ
on them
قَامُوا۟
they come to a halt.
ۚ
وَلَوْ
And what if
شَآءَ
willed
ٱللَّهُ
the One
لَذَهَبَ
to part
بِسَمْعِهِمْ
with their hearings
وَأَبْصَٰرِهِمْ
and their visions?
ۚ
إِنَّ
Of course!
ٱللَّهَ
The One is
عَلَىٰ
over
كُلِّ
all
شَىْءٍۢ
things
قَدِيرٌۭ
capable.
٢
٢٠
يَكَادُ ٱلْبَرْقُ يَخْطَفُ أَبْصَٰرَهُمْ ۖ كُلَّمَآ أَضَآءَ لَهُم مَّشَوْا۟ فِيهِ وَإِذَآ أَظْلَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ قَامُوا۟ ۚ وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَذَهَبَ بِسَمْعِهِمْ وَأَبْصَٰرِهِمْ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ The blazing spark of the lightning (the Creator's message) snatches their sights; whatever shines to them they walk in it, and whenever it becomes dark on them they come to a halt. And what if willed the One to part with their hearings and their visions? Of course! The One is over all things capable.

The lightning almost snatcheth away their sight from them. As often as it flasheth forth for them they walk therein, and when it darkeneth against them they stand still. If Allah willed, He could destroy their hearing and their sight. Lo! Allah is able to do all things. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

قریب ہے کہ بجلی ان کی آنکھوں کو چکاچوندھ کردے کہ جب وہ چمک جائے تو چل پڑیں اور جب اندھیرا ہوجائے تو ٹھہر جائیں. خدا چاہے تو ان کی سماعت و بصارت کو بھی ختم کرسکتا ہے کہ وہ ہر شے پر قدرت و اختیار رکھنے والا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

چمک سے ان کی حالت یہ ہو رہی ہے کہ گویا عنقریب بجلی اِن کی بصارت اُچک لے جائے گی جب ذرا کچھ روشنی انہیں محسوس ہوتی ہے تو اِس میں کچھ دور چل لیتے ہیں اور جب ان پر اندھیرا چھا جاتا ہے تو کھڑ ے ہو جاتے ہیں اللہ چاہتا تو ان کی سماعت اور بصارت بالکل ہی سَلب کر لیتا، یقیناً وہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

بجلی یوں معلوم ہوتی ہے کہ ان کی نگاہیں اچک لے جائے گی جب کچھ چمک ہوئی اس میں چلنے لگے اور جب اندھیرا ہوا کھڑے رہ گئے اور اللہ چاہتا تو ان کے کان اور آنکھیں لے جاتا بیشک اللہ سب کچھ کرسکتا ہے - - Ahmed Raza

قریب ہے کہ بجلی (کی چمک) ان کی آنکھوں کو اچک لے (انہیں خیرہ کر دے) جب بجلی ان کے لئے اجالا کرتی ہے تو وہ اس کی روشنی میں چلنے لگتے ہیں اور جب اندھیرا چھا جاتا ہے تو کھڑے رہ جاتے ہیں اگر اللہ چاہتا تو ان کی سماعت و بصارت (سننے اور دیکھنے کی طاقت) کو زائل کر دیتا۔ بے شک اللہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
