The Segregating Myths

سَيَقُولُ
Will say
ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ
the foolish people
مِنَ
of
ٱلنَّاسِ
the general populace,
مَا
[What has
وَلَّىٰهُمْ
made them turn
عَن
from
قِبْلَتِهِمُ
their centre,
ٱلَّتِى
that which
كَانُوا۟
they were
عَلَيْهَا
upon?]
ۚ
قُل
Say,
لِّلَّهِ
[For the One is
ٱلْمَشْرِقُ
where the Sun rises
وَٱلْمَغْرِبُ
and where it sets;
ۚ
يَهْدِى
He guides
مَن
whom
يَشَآءُ
He desires
إِلَىٰ
towards
صِرَٰطٍۢ
a pathway
مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ
that is straightforward.]

سَيَقُولُ ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَا وَلَّىٰهُمْ عَن قِبْلَتِهِمُ ٱلَّتِى كَانُوا۟ عَلَيْهَا ۚ قُل لِّلَّهِ ٱلْمَشْرِقُ وَٱلْمَغْرِبُ ۚ يَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ Will say the foolish people of the general populace, [What has made them turn from their centre, that which they were upon?] Say, [For the One is where the Sun rises and where it sets; He guides whom He desires towards a pathway that is straightforward.]

The foolish of the people will say: What hath turned them from the qiblah which they formerly observed? Say: Unto Allah belong the East and the West. He guideth whom He will unto a straight path. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

The foolish among the people will say, [What has turned them away from the qiblah they were following?] Say, [To Allah belong the east and the west. He guides whomever He wishes to a straight path.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Fools will soon say, [What has made them (Muslims) change the direction to which they had been facing during their prayers (the qibla)?] (Muhammad), tell them, [Both the East and West belong to God and He guides (whomever He wants), to the right direction.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

The fools among the people will say: What has turned them from their qiblah which they had? Say: The East and the West belong only to Allah; He guides whom He likes to the right path. - Shakir, Habib

The foolish will ask, [What has made them turn away from their direction of prayer which they used to face?] Say, [The East and the West belong to God. He guides whom He pleases to the right path.] - Wahiduddin Khan

عنقریب احمق لوگ یہ کہیں گے کہ ان مسلمانوں کو اس قبلہ سے کس نے موڑ دیا ہے جس پر پہلے قائم تھے تو اے پیغمبر کہہ دیجئے کہ مشرق و مغرب سب خدا کے ہیں وہ جسے چاہتاہے صراط مستقیم کی ہدایت دے دیتا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

نادان لوگ ضرور کہیں گے : اِنہیں کیا ہوا کہ پہلے یہ جس قبلے کی طرف رخ کر کے نماز پڑھتے تھے، اس سے یکایک پھر گئے؟ اے نبی، ان سے کہو: ——مشرق اور مغرب سب اللہ کے ہیں اللہ جسے چاہتا ہے، سیدھی راہ دکھا دیتا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اب کہیں گے بیوقوف لوگ، کس نے پھیردیامسلمانوں کو، ان کے اس قبلہ سے، جس پر تھے تم فرمادو کہ پورب پچھم (مشرق مغرب) سب اللہ ہی کا ہے جسے چاہے سیدھی راہ چلاتا ہے۔ - Ahmed Raza

عنقریب بے وقوف لوگ کہیں گے کہ ان (مسلمانوں) کو کس چیز نے روگردان کر دیا۔ اس قبلہ (بیت المقدس) سے، جس پر وہ پہلے تھے (اے پیغمبر(ص)) کہہ دیجئے اللہ ہی کے لیے ہے مشرق اور مغرب بھی۔ وہ جسے چاہتا ہے سیدھے راستہ کی طرف ہدایت کرتا ہے (اس پر لگا دیتا ہے)۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
