وَمَنْ
And who is
أَظْلَمُ
more wrong
مِمَّن
than someone who
مَّنَعَ
prevented
مَسَٰجِدَ
courts of
ٱللَّهِ
the One,
أَن
that
يُذْكَرَ
be cited
فِيهَا
in them
ٱسْمُهُۥ
His characteristics,
وَسَعَىٰ
and strived
فِى
in
خَرَابِهَآ
their (courts) destruction?
ۚ
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
Those,
مَا
not
كَانَ
was
لَهُمْ
for them
أَن
that
يَدْخُلُوهَآ
they enter them (those courts of the One)
إِلَّا
except
خَآئِفِينَ
being fearful;
ۚ
لَهُمْ
for them
فِى
in
ٱلدُّنْيَا
this life
خِزْىٌۭ
is humiliation,
وَلَهُمْ
and for them
فِى
in
ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
the forthcoming is
عَذَابٌ
a punishment of
عَظِيمٌۭ
great magnitude.
٢
١١٤
وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن مَّنَعَ مَسَٰجِدَ ٱللَّهِ أَن يُذْكَرَ فِيهَا ٱسْمُهُۥ وَسَعَىٰ فِى خَرَابِهَآ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ مَا كَانَ لَهُمْ أَن يَدْخُلُوهَآ إِلَّا خَآئِفِينَ ۚ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا خِزْىٌۭ وَلَهُمْ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌۭ And who is more wrong than someone who prevented courts of the One, that be cited in them His characteristics, and strived in their (courts) destruction? Those, not was for them that they enter them (those courts of the One) except being fearful; for them in this life is humiliation, and for them in the forthcoming is a punishment of great magnitude.

And who doth greater wrong than he who forbiddeth the approach to the sanctuaries of Allah lest His name should be mentioned therein, and striveth for their ruin. As for such, it was never meant that they should enter them except in fear. Theirs in the world is ignominy and theirs in the Hereafter is an awful doom. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Who is a greater wrongdoer than those who deny access to the mosques of Allah lest His Name be celebrated therein, and try to ruin them? Such ones may not enter them, except in fear. There is disgrace for them in this world and a great punishment in the Hereafter. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Who is more unjust than those who strive to destroy the mosques and prevent others from commemorating the Name of God therein who could not enter the mosques except with fear. They, (the unjust ones), will be disgraced in this life and will receive great torment in the life hereafter. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And who is more unjust than he who prevents (men) from the masjids of Allah, that His name should be remembered in them, and strives to ruin them? (As for) these, it was not proper for them that they should have entered them except in fear; they shall meet with disgrace in this world, and they shall have great chastisement in the hereafter. - Shakir, Habib

Who could be more wicked than someone who prevents God's name from being mentioned in His places of worship, and seeks to bring about their ruin, while it behoves these men to enter them with fear in their hearts? There is disgrace in store for them in this world and a great punishment in the next. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور اس سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون ہوگا جو مساجد خدا میں اس کا نام لینے سے منع کرے اور ان کی بربادی کی کوشش کرے. ان لوگوں کا حصّہ صرف یہ ہے کہ مساجد میں خوفزدہ ہوکر داخل ہوں اور ان کے لئے دنیا میں رسوائی ہے اور آخرت میں عذاب عظیم - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اوراس شخص سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون ہوگا جو اللہ کے معبدوں میں اس کے نام کی یاد سے روکے اور ان کی ویرانی کے درپے ہو؟ ایسے لوگ اس قابل ہیں کہ ان کی عبادت گاہوں میں قدم نہ رکھیں اور اگر وہاں جائیں بھی، تو ڈرتے ہوئے جائیں ان کے لیے تو دنیا میں رسوائی ہے اور آخرت میں عذاب عظیم - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اس سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون جو اللہ کی مسجدوں کو روکے ان میں نامِ خدا لئے جانے سے اور ان کی ویرانی میں کوشش کرے ان کو نہ پہنچتا تھا کہ مسجدوں میں جائیں مگر ڈرتے ہوئے ان کے لئے دنیا میں رسوائی ہے اور ان کے لئے آخرت میں بڑا عذاب - - Ahmed Raza

اور اس شخص سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون ہو سکتا ہے جو اللہ کی مسجدوں میں اللہ کے ذکر سے (اللہ کے بندوں کو) روکے اور ان کی ویرانی و بربادی کی کوشش کرے حالانکہ (روکنے والوں) کو یہ حق نہیں پہنچتا کہ وہ مسجدوں میں داخل ہوں مگر ڈرتے ڈرتے۔ ان لوگوں کے لئے دنیا میں ذلت و رسوائی اور آخرت میں بڑا عذاب ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَلِلَّهِ
And to the One belongs
ٱلْمَشْرِقُ
where the Sun rises
وَٱلْمَغْرِبُ
and where it sets;
ۚ
فَأَيْنَمَا
thus wherever
تُوَلُّوا۟
you turn,
فَثَمَّ
so there is
وَجْهُ
attention of
ٱللَّهِ
the One;
ۚ
إِنَّ
surely is
ٱللَّهَ
the One
وَٰسِعٌ
widely
عَلِيمٌۭ
informed.
٢
١١٥
وَلِلَّهِ ٱلْمَشْرِقُ وَٱلْمَغْرِبُ ۚ فَأَيْنَمَا تُوَلُّوا۟ فَثَمَّ وَجْهُ ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌۭ And to the One belongs where the Sun rises and where it sets; thus wherever you turn, so there is attention of the One; surely is the One widely informed.

Unto Allah belong the East and the West, and whithersoever ye turn, there is Allah's Countenance. Lo! Allah is All-Embracing, All-Knowing. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

To Allah belong the east and the west: so whichever way you turn, there is the face of Allah! Allah is indeed all-bounteous, all-knowing. - Qarai, Ali Quli

The East and the West belong to God. Wherever you turn, you are always in the presence of God. God is Munificent and Omniscient. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And Allah's is the East and the West, therefore, whither you turn, thither is Allah's purpose; surely Allah is Ample-giving, Knowing. - Shakir, Habib

اور اللہ کے لئے مشرق بھی ہے اور مغرب بھی لہٰذا تم جس جگہ بھی قبلہ کا رخ کرلو گے سمجھو وہیں خدا موجود ہے وہ صاحبِ وسعت بھی ہے اور صاحبِ علم بھی ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

مشرق اور مغرب سب اللہ کے ہیں جس طرف بھی تم رخ کرو گے، اسی طرف اللہ کا رخ ہے اللہ بڑی وسعت والا اور سب کچھ جاننے والا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور پورب و پچھم سب اللہ ہی کا ہے تو تم جدھر منہ کرو ادھر وجہ اللہ (خدا کی رحمت تمہاری طرف متوجہ) ہے بیشک اللہ وسعت والا علم والا ہے، - Ahmed Raza

اور مشرق و مغرب (پورب و پچھم) سب اللہ کے ہی ہیں سو تم جدھر بھی رخ کرو ادھر ہی اللہ کی ذات موجود ہے یقینا اللہ بڑی وسعت والا، بڑا علم والا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

شرق | rising | east | coming in to | running | Sun shine | fruit starting to show its colour | become bright | to become visible
له | him | it | that | his
وَقَالُوا۟
And they said,
ٱتَّخَذَ
[Took
ٱللَّهُ
the One
وَلَدًۭا
an offspring.]
ۗ
سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ
By His Glory!
ۖ
بَل
Absolutely not!
لَّهُۥ
For Him is
مَا
what is
فِى
within
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the atmospheres
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
and the matter;
ۖ
كُلٌّۭ
all are
لَّهُۥ
for Him
قَٰنِتُونَ
humbly obedient.
٢
١١٦
وَقَالُوا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَدًۭا ۗ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ ۖ بَل لَّهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ كُلٌّۭ لَّهُۥ قَٰنِتُونَ And they said, [Took the One an offspring.] By His Glory! Absolutely not! For Him is what is within the atmospheres and the matter; all are for Him humbly obedient.
⦿
And they say: Allah hath taken unto Himself a son. Be He glorified! Nay, but whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth is His. All are subservient unto Him. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
And they say, [Allah has taken a son.] Immaculate is He! Rather, to Him belongs whatever there is in the heavens and the earth. All are obedient to Him, - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
They, (the People of the Book), have said that God has taken for Himself a son. He is too glorious to have a son. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. All pray in obedience to Him. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And they say: Allah has taken to himself a son. Glory be to Him; rather, whatever is in the heavens and the earth is His; all are obedient to Him. - Shakir, Habib

They say, [God has taken a son.] Glory be to Him! Everything in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him; all things are obedient to Him. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور یہودی کہتے ہیں کہ خدا کے اولاد بھی ہے حالانکہ وہ پاک و بے نیاز ہے. زمین و آسمان میں جو کچھ بھی ہے سب اسی کا ہے اور سب اسی کے فرمانبردار ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ان کا قول ہے کہ اللہ نے کسی کو بیٹا بنایا ہے اللہ پاک ہے ان باتوں سے اصل حقیقت یہ ہے کہ زمین اور آسمانوں کی تمام موجودات اس کی ملک ہیں، سب کے سب اس کے مطیع فرمان ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور بولے خدا نے اپنے لیے اولاد رکھی پاکی ہے اسے بلکہ اسی کی مِلک ہے جو کچھ آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہے سب اس کے حضور گردن ڈالے ہیں، - Ahmed Raza

اور وہ (اہل کتاب) کہتے ہیں کہ اللہ نے کوئی بیٹا بنا لیا ہے۔ وہ (ایسی باتوں سے) پاک ہے۔ بلکہ جو کچھ آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہے وہ سب کچھ اسی کا ہے سب اسی کے مطیع و فرمانبردار ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

بَدِيعُ
Author of
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the atmospheres
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
and the matter,
ۖ
وَإِذَا
and whenever
قَضَىٰٓ
(He) decides
أَمْرًۭا
an instruction,
فَإِنَّمَا
then it is just that
يَقُولُ
He says
لَهُۥ
for it,
كُن
[Be!],
فَيَكُونُ
thus it starts to become.

١١٧
بَدِيعُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ وَإِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمْرًۭا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ Author of the atmospheres and the matter, and whenever (He) decides an instruction, then it is just that He says for it, [Be!], thus it starts to become.

The Originator of the heavens and the earth! When He decreeth a thing, He saith unto it only: Be! and it is. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

the Originator of the heavens and the earth. When He decides on a matter, He just says to it, [Be!] and it is. - Qarai, Ali Quli

God is the Originator of the heavens and the earth. Whenever He decides to do anything, He just commands it to exist and it comes into existence. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Wonderful Originator of the heavens and the earth, and when He decrees an affair, He only says to it, Be, so there it is. - Shakir, Habib

نیا پیدا کرنے والا آسمانوں اور زمین کا اور جب کسی بات کا حکم فرمائے تو اس سے یہی فرماتا ہے کہ ہو جا وہ فورا ً ہوجاتی ہے- - Ahmed Raza

(وہی) آسمانوں اور زمین کا موجد ہے۔ جب وہ کسی کام کے کرنے کا فیصلہ کر لیتا ہے۔ تو اسے بس اتنا ہی کہتا ہے کہ ہو جا اور وہ ہو جاتا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

سمو ⇐ سماء | firmament | heaven | atmosphere | space | sky | sublime | elevation | transcendence | altitude | pride | arrogance | lofty | exalted | noble | rise | sprang | rushed
بدع | originate | to invent | devise | concoct
وَقَالَ
And said
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
لَا
do not
يَعْلَمُونَ
know,
لَوْلَا
[Why does not
يُكَلِّمُنَا
communicates with us
ٱللَّهُ
the One,
أَوْ
or
تَأْتِينَآ
gives us
ءَايَةٌۭ
hints?]
ۗ
كَذَٰلِكَ
Just like that
قَالَ
said
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones, who were
مِن
of
قَبْلِهِم
before them,
مِّثْلَ
like
قَوْلِهِمْ
their speech.
ۘ
تَشَٰبَهَتْ
Alike are
قُلُوبُهُمْ
their hearts.
ۗ
قَدْ
Certainly
بَيَّنَّا
We have clarified
ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ
the signs
لِقَوْمٍۢ
for a nation
يُوقِنُونَ
who are absolutely certain.
٢
١١٨
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ لَوْلَا يُكَلِّمُنَا ٱللَّهُ أَوْ تَأْتِينَآ ءَايَةٌۭ ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّثْلَ قَوْلِهِمْ ۘ تَشَٰبَهَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ ۗ قَدْ بَيَّنَّا ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍۢ يُوقِنُونَ And said the ones who do not know, [Why does not communicates with us the One, or gives us hints?] Just like that said the ones, who were of before them, like their speech. Alike are their hearts. Certainly We have clarified the signs for a nation who are absolutely certain.

And those who have no knowledge say: Why doth not Allah speak unto us, or some sign come unto us? Even thus, as they now speak, spake those (who were) before them. Their hearts are all alike. We have made clear the revelations for people who are sure. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Those who have no knowledge say, [Why does not Allah speak to us, or come to us a sign?] So said those who were before them, [words] similar to what they say. Alike are their hearts. We have certainly made the signs clear for a people who have certainty. - Qarai, Ali Quli

The ignorant have asked, [Why does He not speak to us and why has no evidence come to show us (that He exists)?] People before them had also asked such questions. They all think in the same way. We have already made the evidence very clear for those who have certainty. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And those who have no knowledge say: Why does not Allah speak to us or a sign come to us? Even thus said those before them, the like of what they say; their hearts are all alike. Indeed We have made the communications clear for a people who are sure. - Shakir, Habib

Those who are devoid of knowledge say, [Why does God not speak to us or show us a sign?] The same demand was made by those before them; their hearts are all alike. We have made the signs clear to those whose faith is firm. - Wahiduddin Khan

یہ جاہل مشرکین کہتے ہیں کہ خدا ہم سے کلام کیوں نہیں کرتا اور ہم پر آیت کیوں نازل نہیں کرتا. ان کے پہلے والے بھی ایسی ہی جہالت کی باتیں کرچکے ہیں. ان سب کے دل ملتے جلتے ہیں اور ہم نے تو اہلِ یقین کے لئے آیات کو واضح کردیا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

نادان کہتے ہیں کہ اللہ خود ہم سے بات کیوں نہیں کرتا یا کوئی نشانی ہمارے پاس کیوں نہیں آتی؟ ایسی ہی باتیں اِن سے پہلے لوگ بھی کیا کرتے تھے اِن سب (اگلے پچھلے گمراہوں) کی ذہنیتیں ایک جیسی ہیں یقین لانے والوں کے لیے تو ہم نشانیاں صاف صاف نمایاں کر چکے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جاہل بولے اللہ ہم سے کیوں نہیں کلام کرتا یا ہمیں کوئی نشانی ملے ان سے اگلوں نے بھی ایسی ہی کہی ان کی سی بات اِن کے اُن کے دل ایک سے ہیں بیشک ہم نے نشانیاں کھول دیں یقین والوں کے لئے - - Ahmed Raza

جاہل و ناداں کہتے ہیں کہ اللہ ہم سے (براہ راست) کلام کیوں نہیں کرتا۔ یا ہمارے پاس (اس کی) کوئی نشانی کیوں نہیں آتی؟ جو لوگ ان سے پہلے گزر چکے ہیں وہ بھی اسی طرح کی (بے پرکی) باتیں کیا کرتے تھے ان سب کے دل (اور ذہن) ملتے جلتے ہیں۔ بے شک ہم نے یقین کرنے والے لوگوں کے لئے (اپنی نشانیاں) کھول کر بیان کر دی ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

إِنَّآ
Certainly We
أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ
have sent you
بِٱلْحَقِّ
with the fact
بَشِيرًۭا
— a good news,
وَنَذِيرًۭا
and as a warning —
ۖ
وَلَا
and not
تُسْـَٔلُ
you will be asked
عَنْ
about
أَصْحَٰبِ
companions of
ٱلْجَحِيمِ
the fire.
٢
١١٩
إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ بَشِيرًۭا وَنَذِيرًۭا ۖ وَلَا تُسْـَٔلُ عَنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ Certainly We have sent you with the fact — a good news, and as a warning — and not you will be asked about companions of the fire.
⦿
Lo! We have sent thee (O Muhammad) with the truth, a bringer of glad tidings and a warner. And thou wilt not be asked about the owners of hell-fire. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Indeed We have sent you with the truth, as a bearer of good news and as a warner, and you will not be questioned concerning the inmates of hell. - Qarai, Ali Quli

We have sent you (Muhammad) for a genuine purpose to proclaim glad news and warnings. You will not be blamed for the dwellers of blazing hell. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Surely We have sent you with the truth as a bearer of good news and as a warner, and you shall not be called upon to answer for the companions of the flaming fire. - Shakir, Habib

اے پیغمبر ہم نے آپ کو حق کے ساتھ بشارت دینے والا اور ڈرانے والا بناکر بھیجا ہے اور آپ سے اہلِ جہنّم کے بارے میں کوئی سوال نہ کیا جائے گا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

(اس سے بڑھ کر نشانی کیا ہوگی کہ) ہم نے تم کو علم حق کے ساتھ خوش خبری دینے والا ور ڈرانے والا بنا کر بھیجا اب جو لوگ جہنم سے رشتہ جوڑ چکے ہیں، ان کی طرف سے تم ذمہ دار و جواب دہ نہیں ہو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

بیشک ہم نے تمہیں حق کے ساتھ بھیجا خوشخبری دیتا اور ڈر سناتا اور تم سے دوزخ والوں کا سوال نہ ہوگا - - Ahmed Raza

ان | if | had it been | as long as | in case of | if that then | that | time | surely | is it not | at that time
وَلَن
And never will
تَرْضَىٰ
approve
عَنكَ
of you
ٱلْيَهُودُ
the Yahood (intimidating) sect,
وَلَا
and nor
ٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ
the Helper sect
حَتَّىٰ
until
تَتَّبِعَ
you were to follow
مِلَّتَهُمْ
their doctrine.
ۗ
قُلْ
Say,
إِنَّ
[Surely
هُدَى
guidance of
ٱللَّهِ
the One
هُوَ
is
ٱلْهُدَىٰ
the (true) guidance.]
ۗ
وَلَئِنِ
And if
ٱتَّبَعْتَ
you followed
أَهْوَآءَهُم
their desires,
بَعْدَ
after
ٱلَّذِى
that which
جَآءَكَ
came to you
مِنَ
of
ٱلْعِلْمِ
the knowledge,
ۙ
مَا
not (will be)
لَكَ
for you
مِنَ
from
ٱللَّهِ
the One
مِن
of
وَلِىٍّۢ
a protector
وَلَا
and nor
نَصِيرٍ
a helper.
٢
١٢٠
وَلَن تَرْضَىٰ عَنكَ ٱلْيَهُودُ وَلَا ٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُمْ ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ هُوَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ ۗ وَلَئِنِ ٱتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَآءَهُم بَعْدَ ٱلَّذِى جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلْعِلْمِ ۙ مَا لَكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَلِىٍّۢ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ And never will approve of you the Yahood (intimidating) sect, and nor the Helper sect until you were to follow their doctrine. Say, [Surely guidance of the One is the (true) guidance.] And if you followed their desires, after that which came to you of the knowledge, not (will be) for you from the One of a protector and nor a helper.

And the Jews will not be pleased with thee, nor will the Christians, till thou follow their creed. Say: Lo! the guidance of Allah (Himself) is Guidance. And if thou shouldst follow their desires after the knowledge which hath come unto thee, then wouldst thou have from Allah no protecting guardian nor helper. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Never will the Jews be pleased with you, nor the Christians, unless you followed their creed. Say, [Indeed it is the guidance of Allah which is [true] guidance.] And should you follow their desires after the knowledge that has come to you, you will not have against Allah any guardian or helper. - Qarai, Ali Quli

The Jews and Christians will never be pleased with you unless you follow their faith. (Muhammad) tell them that the guidance of God is the only true guidance. If you follow their wishes after all the knowledge that has come to you, you will no longer have God as your guardian and helper.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

And the Jews will not be pleased with you, nor the Christians until you follow their religion. Say: Surely Allah's guidance, that is the (true) guidance. And if you follow their desires after the knowledge that has come to you, you shall have no guardian from Allah, nor any helper. - Shakir, Habib

یہود و نصاریٰ آپ سے اس وقت تک راضی نہ ہوں گے جب تک آپ ان کی ملّت کی پیروی نہ کرلیں تو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ ہدایت صرف ہدایت هپروردگار ہے--- اور اگر آپ علم کے آنے کے بعد ان کی خواہشات کی پیروی کریں گے تو پھر خدا کے عذاب سے بچانے والا نہ کوئی سرپرست ہوگا نہ مددگار - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یہودی اور عیسائی تم سے ہرگز راضی نہ ہوں گے، جب تک تم ان کے طریقے پر نہ چلنے لگو صاف کہہ دوکہ راستہ بس وہی ہے، جو اللہ نے بتایا ہے ورنہ اگراُس علم کے بعد، جو تمہارے پاس آ چکا ہے، تم نے اُن کی خواہشات کی پیروی کی، تو اللہ کی پکڑ سے بچانے والا کوئی دوست اور مدد گار تمہارے لیے نہیں ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ہرگز تم سے یہود اور نصاری ٰ راضی نہ ہوں گے جب تک تم ان کے دین کی پیروی نہ کرو تم فرمادو اللہ ہی کی ہدایت ہدایت ہے اور (اے سننے والے کسے باشد) اگر تو ان کی خواہشوں کا پیرو ہوا بعد اس کے کہ تجھے علم آچکا تو اللہ سے تیرا کوئی بچانے والا نہ ہوگا او ر نہ مددگار - Ahmed Raza

اے رسول یہود و نصاریٰ اس وقت تک آپ سے راضی نہیں ہوں گے جب تک آپ ان کے دین و مذہب کے پیرو نہ ہو جائیں۔ کہہ دیجئے کہ اللہ کی ہدایت ہی حقیقی ہدایت ہے (جو اس نے بتائی ہے) اور اگر آپ نے (اللہ کی طرف سے) علم آجانے کے بعد بھی ان لوگوں کی خواہشات و خیالات کی پیروی کی۔ تو پھر اللہ (کی گرفت) سے آپ کو بچانے والا نہ کوئی سرپرست ہوگا اور نہ کوئی یار و مددگار - Najafi, Muhammad

ٱلَّذِينَ
The ones
ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ
to whom We gave
ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
the Book,
يَتْلُونَهُۥ
who walk behind it
حَقَّ
as is a right
تِلَاوَتِهِۦٓ
of following it,
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
those are
يُؤْمِنُونَ
who are absolutely sure
بِهِۦ
about it.
ۗ
وَمَن
And whoever
يَكْفُرْ
denies
بِهِۦ
about it,
فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
then they
هُمُ
are
ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ
the ones who have lost.
٢
١٢١
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ يَتْلُونَهُۥ حَقَّ تِلَاوَتِهِۦٓ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ ۗ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِهِۦ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ The ones to whom We gave the Book, who walk behind it as is a right of following it, those are who are absolutely sure about it. And whoever denies about it, then they are the ones who have lost.

Those unto whom We have given the Scripture, who read it with the right reading, those believe in it. And whoso disbelieveth in it, those are they who are the losers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Those to whom We have given the Book follow it as it ought to be followed: they have faith in it. As for those who deny it—it is they who are the losers. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Those (of the People of the Book) who have received Our Book (Quran), and read it thoroughly, believe in it. Those who disbelieve the Book are certainly losers. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Those to whom We have given the Book read it as it ought to be read. These believe in it; and whoever disbelieves in it, these it is that are the losers. - Shakir, Habib

Those whom We have given this Book follow it as it ought to be followed; it is they who [truly] believe in it; those who deny it will be the losers. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جن لوگوں کو ہم نے قرآن دیا ہے وہ اس کی باقاعدہ تلاوت کرتے ہیں اور ان ہی کا اس پر ایمان بھی ہے اور جو اس کا انکار کرے گااس کاشمار خسارہ والوں میں ہوگا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

جن لوگوں کو ہم نے کتاب دی ہے، وہ اُسے اس طرح پڑھتے ہیں جیسا کہ پڑھنے کا حق ہے وہ اس پر سچے دل سے ایمان لاتے ہیں اور جواس کے ساتھ کفر کا رویہ اختیار کریں، وہی اصل میں نقصان اٹھانے والے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

جنہیں ہم نے کتاب دی ہے وہ جیسی چاہئے اس کی تلاوت کرتے ہیں وہی اس پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں اور جو اس کے منکر ہوں تو وہی زیاں کار ہیں - - Ahmed Raza

جن لوگوں کو ہم نے کتاب دی ہے وہ اسے اس طرح پڑھتے ہیں جس طرح پڑھنے کا حق ہے وہی لوگ ہیں جو اس پر ایمان لاتے ہیں اور جو اس کا انکار کرتے ہیں تو یہی لوگ نقصان اٹھانے والے ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

يَٰبَنِىٓ
O bani
إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
Israel!
ٱذْكُرُوا۟
Continuously remember
نِعْمَتِىَ
My blessings
ٱلَّتِىٓ
those which
أَنْعَمْتُ
have been blessed
عَلَيْكُمْ
upon you,
وَأَنِّى
and (remember) that I
فَضَّلْتُكُمْ
have favoured you
عَلَى
over
ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
all the states of being.
٢
١٢٢
يَٰبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتِىَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَأَنِّى فَضَّلْتُكُمْ عَلَى ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ O bani Israel! Continuously remember My blessings those which have been blessed upon you, and (remember) that I have favoured you over all the states of being.
⦿
O Children of Israel! Remember My favour wherewith I favoured you and how I preferred you to (all) creatures. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

O Children of Israel, remember My blessing which I bestowed upon you, and that I gave you an advantage over all the nations. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
Children of Israel, recall My favor to you and the preference that I gave to you over all the other nations. - Sarwar, Muhammad

O children of Israel, call to mind My favor which I bestowed on you and that I made you excel the nations. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
Children of Israel, remember My favour which I have bestowed upon you, and how I preferred you above all other people; - Wahiduddin Khan

اے بنی اسرائیل ان نعمتوں کو یاد کرو جو ہم نے تمہیں عنایت کی ہیں اور جن کے طفیل تمہیں سارے عالم سے بہتر بنا دیا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اے بنی اسرائیل! یاد کرو میری وہ نعمت، جس سے میں نے تمہیں نواز ا تھا، اور یہ کہ میں نے تمہیں دنیا کی تمام قوموں پر فضیلت دی تھی - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اے اولاد یعقوب یاد کرو میرا احسان جو میں نے تم پر کیا او ر وہ جو میں نے اس زمانہ کے سب لوگوں پر تمہیں بڑائی دی - - Ahmed Raza

اے بنی اسرائیل! میری وہ نعمت یاد کرو جس سے میں نے تمہیں نوازا۔ اور یہ بھی کہ تمہیں دنیا و جہان والوں پر فضیلت دی۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَٱتَّقُوا۟
And be aware of
يَوْمًۭا
a day, when
لَّا
not
تَجْزِى
will avail
نَفْسٌ
a person
عَن
from
نَّفْسٍۢ
another person
شَيْـًۭٔا
anything,
وَلَا
and not
يُقْبَلُ
will be accepted
مِنْهَا
from them
عَدْلٌۭ
a compensation,
وَلَا
and not
تَنفَعُهَا
will benefit them
شَفَٰعَةٌۭ
any intercession,
وَلَا
and not
هُمْ
they
يُنصَرُونَ
are victorious.
٢
١٢٣
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ يَوْمًۭا لَّا تَجْزِى نَفْسٌ عَن نَّفْسٍۢ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهَا عَدْلٌۭ وَلَا تَنفَعُهَا شَفَٰعَةٌۭ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ And be aware of a day, when not will avail a person from another person anything, and not will be accepted from them a compensation, and not will benefit them any intercession, and not they are victorious.
⦿
And guard (yourselves) against a day when no soul will in aught avail another, nor will compensation be accepted from it, nor will intercession be of use to it; nor will they be helped. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
Beware of the Day when no soul will compensate for another, neither will any ransom be accepted from it, nor will any intercession benefit it, nor will they be helped. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
Have fear of the day when every soul will be responsible for itself, no ransom will be accepted for it, no intercession will be of any benefit to it and no one will receive any help. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And be on your guard against a day when no soul shall avail another in the least neither shall any compensation be accepted from it, nor shall intercession profit it, nor shall they be helped. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
and fear a Day when no human being shall avail another. Nor shall ransom be accepted from any of them, nor shall intercession be of any use to them, and none shall be succoured. - Wahiduddin Khan
⦿
اور اس دن سے ڈرو جس دن کوئی کسی کا فدیہ نہ ہوسکے گا اور نہ کوئی معاوضہ کام آئے گا نہ کوئی سفارش ہوگی اور نہ کوئی مدد کی جاسکے گی - Jawadi, Zeeshan
⦿
اور ڈرو اُس دن سے، جب کوئی کسی کے ذرا کام نہ آئے گا، نہ کسی سے فدیہ قبول کیا جائے گا، نہ کوئی سفارش ہی آدمی کو فائدہ دے گی، اور نہ مجرموں کو کہیں سے کوئی مدد پہنچ سکے گی - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ڈرو اس دن سے کہ کوئی جان دوسرے کا بدلہ نہ ہوگی اور نہ اس کو کچھ لے کر چھوڑیں اور نہ کافر کو کوئی سفارش نفع دے اور نہ ان کی مدد ہو - - Ahmed Raza

اور (قیامت کے) اس دن سے ڈرو۔ جب کوئی کسی کو کوئی فائدہ نہیں پہنچا سکے گا اور نہ کسی سے فدیہ قبول کیا جائے گا۔ اور نہ ہی سفارش کسی کو کچھ فائدہ پہنچا سکے گی اور نہ ہی (کسی اور طریقہ سے) ان کی امداد کی جائے گی۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَإِذِ
And (remember) when
ٱبْتَلَىٰٓ
was tested
إِبْرَٰهِـۧمَ
Ibrahim
رَبُّهُۥ
(by) his Rabb
بِكَلِمَٰتٍۢ
with his opinions
فَأَتَمَّهُنَّ
then he completed them.
ۖ
قَالَ
(The One) said,
إِنِّى
[I am
جَاعِلُكَ
making you
لِلنَّاسِ
for the people
إِمَامًۭا
a levelling standard.]
ۖ
قَالَ
(Ibrahim) asked,
وَمِن
[And from
ذُرِّيَّتِى
my lineage?]
ۖ
قَالَ
(The One) said,
لَا
[Not
يَنَالُ
is offered
عَهْدِى
My promise
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

١٢٤
وَإِذِ ٱبْتَلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِـۧمَ رَبُّهُۥ بِكَلِمَٰتٍۢ فَأَتَمَّهُنَّ ۖ قَالَ إِنِّى جَاعِلُكَ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامًۭا ۖ قَالَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِى ۖ قَالَ لَا يَنَالُ عَهْدِى ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ And (remember) when was tested Ibrahim (by) his Rabb with his opinions then he completed them. (The One) said, [I am making you for the people a levelling standard.] (Ibrahim) asked, [And from my lineage?] (The One) said, [Not is offered My promise to the ones in darkness.]

And (remember) when his Lord tried Abraham with (His) commands, and he fulfilled them, He said: Lo! I have appointed thee a leader for mankind. (Abraham) said: And of my offspring (will there be leaders)? He said: My covenant includeth not wrong-doers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When his Lord tested Abraham with certain words and he fulfilled them, He said, [I am making you the Imam of mankind.] Said he, [And from among my descendants?] He said, [My pledge does not extend to the unjust.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

When his Lord tested Abraham's faith, (by His words) and he satisfied the test, He said, [I am appointing you as the leader of mankind.] Abraham asked, [Will this leadership also continue through my descendants?] The Lord replied, [The unjust do not have the right to exercise My authority.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when his Lord tried Ibrahim with certain words, he fulfilled them. He said: Surely I will make you an Imam of men. Ibrahim said: And of my offspring? My covenant does not include the unjust, said He. - Shakir, Habib

When his Lord tested Abraham with certain commands and he fulfilled them, He said, [I will make you a leader of men.] Abraham asked, [And what of my descendants?] He answered, [My covenant does not extend to the transgressors.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور اس وقت کو یاد کرو جب خدانے چند کلمات کے ذریعے ابراہیم علیھ السّلام کا امتحان لیا اور انہوں نے پورا کردیا تو اس نے کہا کہ ہم تم کو لوگوں کا امام اور قائد بنا رہے ہیں. انہوں نے عرض کی کہ میری ذریت? ارشاد ہوا کہ یہ عہدئہ امامت ظالمین تک نہیں جائے گا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یاد کرو کہ جب ابراہیمؑ کو اس کے رب نے چند باتوں میں آزما یا اور وہ اُن سب میں پورا اتر گیا، تو اس نے کہا: ——میں تجھے سب لوگوں کا پیشوا بنانے والا ہوں—— ابراہیمؑ نے عرض کیا: ——اور کیا میری اولاد سے بھی یہی وعدہ ہے؟—— اس نے جواب دیا: ——میرا وعدہ ظالموں سے متعلق نہیں ہے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جب ابراہیم کو اس کے رب نے کچھ باتوں سے آزمایا تو اس نے وہ پوری کر دکھائیں فرمایا میں تمہیں لوگوں کا پیشوا بنانے والا ہوں عرض کی اور میری اولاد سے فرمایا میرا عہد ظالموں کو نہیں پہنچتا- - Ahmed Raza
