وَلَوْ
And if only
أَنَّهُمْ
they were to
ءَامَنُوا۟
believe
وَٱتَّقَوْا۟
and become aware of
لَمَثُوبَةٌۭ
how much that reward
مِّنْ
from
عِندِ
nearing
ٱللَّهِ
the One is
خَيْرٌۭ
better!
ۖ
لَّوْ
If only
كَانُوا۟
they were
يَعْلَمُونَ
having knowledge!
٢
١٠٣
وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱتَّقَوْا۟ لَمَثُوبَةٌۭ مِّنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ خَيْرٌۭ ۖ لَّوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ And if only they were to believe and become aware of how much that reward from nearing the One is better! If only they were having knowledge!
⦿
And if they had believed and kept from evil, a recompense from Allah would be better, if they only knew. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Had they been faithful and Godwary, the reward from Allah would have been better, had they known! - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
Would that they had known that if they had embraced the faith and avoided evil, they would have received better rewards from God. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And if they had believed and guarded themselves (against evil), reward from Allah would certainly have been better; had they but known (this). - Shakir, Habib

And had they but believed and been mindful of God, His reward would have been far better for them, if they had but known it. - Wahiduddin Khan

اگر یہ لوگ ایمان لے آتے اور متقی بن جاتے تو خدائی ثواب بہت بہتر تھا. اگر ان کی سمجھ میں آجاتا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اگر وہ ایمان اور تقویٰ اختیار کرتے، تو اللہ کے ہاں اس کا جو بدلہ ملتا، وہ ان کے لیے زیادہ بہتر تھا، کاش اُنہیں خبر ہوتی - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اگر وہ ایمان لاتے اور پرہیزگاری کرتے تو اللہ کے یہاں کا ثواب بہت اچھا ہے کسی طرح انہیں علم ہوتا - - Ahmed Raza

اور اگر یہ لوگ ایمان لاتے اور پرہیزگاری اختیار کرتے تو خدا کی بارگاہ سے انہیں جو ثواب ملتا وہ (اس سے) بہتر ہوتا کاش انہیں اس کا علم ہوتا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
O you of
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
ءَامَنُوا۟
have conviction!
لَا
Do not
تَقُولُوا۟
say,
رَٰعِنَا
[Take care of us],
وَقُولُوا۟
rather say,
ٱنظُرْنَا
[Watch us!],
وَٱسْمَعُوا۟
and they heard.
ۗ
وَلِلْكَٰفِرِينَ
And for the deniers is
عَذَابٌ
a punishment of
أَلِيمٌۭ
distress.
٢
١٠٤
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَقُولُوا۟ رَٰعِنَا وَقُولُوا۟ ٱنظُرْنَا وَٱسْمَعُوا۟ ۗ وَلِلْكَٰفِرِينَ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ O you of the ones who have conviction! Do not say, [Take care of us], rather say, [Watch us!], and they heard. And for the deniers is a punishment of distress.
⦿
O ye who believe, say not (unto the Prophet): [Listen to us] but say [Look upon us,] and be ye listeners. For disbelievers is a painful doom. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

O you who have faith! Do not say Ra[ina, but say Unzurna, and listen! And there is a painful punishment for the faithless. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Believers, do not address the Prophet as ra'ina (whereby the Jews, in their own accent, meant: Would that you would never hear, but call him unzurna) (meaning: Please speak to us slowly so that we understand), and then listen. The unbelievers will face a painful torment. - Sarwar, Muhammad

O you who believe! do not say Raina and say Unzurna and listen, and for the unbelievers there is a painful chastisement. - Shakir, Habib

Believers, do not say to the Prophet, [Ra'ina] but say, [Unzurna,] and listen to him with attention. For those who deny the truth, there is a painful punishment. - Wahiduddin Khan

ایمان والو! راعنا (ہماری رعایت کرو) نہ کہا کرو «انظرنامِ کہا کرو اور غور سے سنا کرو اور یاد رکھو کہ کافرین کے لئے بڑا دردناک عذاب ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اے لوگو جو ایمان لائے ہو: رَاعِناَ نہ کہا کرو، بلکہ اُنظرنَا کہو اور توجہ سے بات کو سنو، یہ کافر تو عذاب الیم کے مستحق ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اے ایمان والو! راعنا نہ کہو اور یوں عرض کرو کہ حضور ہم پر نظر رکھیں اور پہلے ہی سے بغور سنو اور کافروں کے لئے دردناک عذاب ہے- - Ahmed Raza

مَّا
Neither
يَوَدُّ
desire
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
كَفَرُوا۟
deny
مِنْ
from
أَهْلِ
(non-blood) family of
ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
the Book,
وَلَا
nor
ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
those who associated,
أَن
that
يُنَزَّلَ
be sent down
عَلَيْكُم
upon you
مِّنْ
from
خَيْرٍۢ
goodnesses
مِّن
of
رَّبِّكُمْ
your Rabb.
ۗ
وَٱللَّهُ
While the One
يَخْتَصُّ
chooses
بِرَحْمَتِهِۦ
with His mercy
مَن
whoever
يَشَآءُ
He desires.
ۚ
وَٱللَّهُ
And the One is
ذُو
possessor of
ٱلْفَضْلِ
the grace,
ٱلْعَظِيمِ
that is most dignified.
٢
١٠٥
مَّا يَوَدُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَلَا ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ أَن يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْكُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يَخْتَصُّ بِرَحْمَتِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ Neither desire those who deny from (non-blood) family of the Book, nor those who associated, that be sent down upon you from goodnesses of your Rabb. While the One chooses with His mercy whoever He desires. And the One is possessor of the grace, that is most dignified.

Neither those who disbelieve among the people of the Scripture nor the idolaters love that there should be sent down unto you any good thing from your Lord. But Allah chooseth for His mercy whom He will, and Allah is of Infinite Bounty. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Neither the faithless from among the People of the Book nor the idolaters like that any good be showered on you from your Lord; but Allah singles out for His mercy whomever He wishes, and Allah is dispenser of a mighty grace. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
(Muhammad) the disbelievers among the People of the Book and the pagans do not like to see anything good revealed to you from your Lord. God reserves His mercy for whomever He chooses. The generosity of God is great. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Those who disbelieve from among the followers of the Book do not like, nor do the polytheists, that the good should be sent down to you from your Lord, and Allah chooses especially whom He pleases for His mercy, and Allah is the Lord of mighty grace. - Shakir, Habib

They who deny the truth from among the People of the Book, or from among those who associate partners with God, do not desire that any good should be sent down to you from your Lord. But God singles out for His grace whom He wills -- for God is limitless in His great bounty. - Wahiduddin Khan

کافر اہلِ کتاب یہود و نصارٰی اور عام مشرکین یہ نہیں چاہتے کہ تمہارے او پر پروردگار کی طرف سے کوئی خیر نازل ہو حالانکہ اللہ جسے چاہتاہے اپنی رحمت کے لئے مخصوص کرلیتا ہے اور اللہ بڑے فضل و کرم کا مالک ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یہ لوگ جنہوں نے دعوت حق کو قبول کرنے سے انکار کر دیا ہے، خواہ اہل کتاب میں سے ہوں یا مشرک ہوں، ہرگز یہ پسند نہیں کرتے کہ تمہارے رب کی طرف سے تم پر کوئی بھلائی نازل ہو، مگر اللہ جس کو چاہتا ہے، اپنی رحمت کے لیے چن لیتا ہے اور وہ بڑا فضل فرمانے والا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

وہ جو کافر ہیں کتابی یا مشرک وہ نہیں چاہتے کہ تم پر کوئی بھلائی اترے تمہارے رب کے پاس سے اور اللہ اپنی رحمت سے خاص کرتا ہے جسے چاہے اور اللہ بڑے فضل والا ہے - - Ahmed Raza

أَلَمْ
Do not
تَعْلَمْ
you know
أَنَّ
that
ٱللَّهَ
the One
عَلَىٰ
upon
كُلِّ
all
شَىْءٍۢ
things
قَدِيرٌ
is capable?
٢
١٠٦
مَا نَنسَخْ مِنْ ءَايَةٍ أَوْ نُنسِهَا نَأْتِ بِخَيْرٍۢ مِّنْهَآ أَوْ مِثْلِهَآ ۗ أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌ Not We abrogate from signs, nor We overlook; We come with better ones from them or like them. Do not you know that the One upon all things is capable?
⦿
Nothing of our revelation (even a single verse) do we abrogate or cause be forgotten, but we bring (in place) one better or the like thereof. Knowest thou not that Allah is Able to do all things? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

For any verse that We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring another which is better than it, or similar to it. Do you not know that Allah has power over all things? - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
For whatever sign We change or eliminate or cause to recede into oblivion, We bring forth a better sign, one that is identical. Do you not know that God has power over all things? - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
Whatever communications We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring one better than it or like it. Do you not know that Allah has power over all things? - Shakir, Habib

If We abrogate a verse or cause it to be forgotten, We will replace it by a better one or one similar to it. Do you not know that God has power over all things? - Wahiduddin Khan

اور اے رسول ہم جب بھی کسی آیت کو منسوخ کرتے ہیں یا دلوں سے محو کردیتے ہیں تو اس سے بہتر یا اس کی جیسی آیت ضرور لے آتے ہیں. کیا تم نہیں جانتے کہ اللہ ہر شے پر قادر ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ہم اپنی جس آیت کو منسوخ کر دیتے ہیں یا بُھلا دیتے ہیں، اس کی جگہ اس سے بہتر لے آتے ہیں یا کم از کم ویسی ہی کیا تم جانتے نہیں ہو کہ اللہ ہر چیز پر قدرت رکھتا ہے؟ - Maududi, Abul A'ala

جب کوئی آیت منسوخ فرمائیں یا بھلا دیں تو اس سے بہتر یا اس جیسی لے آئیں گے کیا تجھے خبر نہیں کہ اللہ سب کچھ کرسکتا ہے- - Ahmed Raza

ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the space
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
and the matter?
ۗ
وَمَا
And neither
لَكُم
for you
مِّن
from
دُونِ
lower than
ٱللَّهِ
the One is
مِن
of
وَلِىٍّۢ
a protector
وَلَا
nor
نَصِيرٍ
a helper.
٢
١٠٧
أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَلِىٍّۢ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ Do not you know that (it is) the One for Whom is ownership of the space and the matter? And neither for you from lower than the One is of a protector nor a helper.

Knowest thou not that it is Allah unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and ye have not, beside Allah, any guardian or helper? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Do you not know that to Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth? And besides Allah, you do not have any guardian or helper. - Qarai, Ali Quli

you wish

you keep questioning
رَسُولَكُمْ
that which was sent to you
كَمَا
as how was
سُئِلَ
questioned
مُوسَىٰ
Moosa
مِن
of
قَبْلُ
before?
ۗ
وَمَن
And whoever
يَتَبَدَّلِ
exchanges
ٱلْكُفْرَ
the denial
بِٱلْإِيمَٰنِ
with the conviction
فَقَدْ
thus so
ضَلَّ
has strayed away from
سَوَآءَ
evenness of
ٱلسَّبِيلِ
the path.
٢
١٠٨
أَمْ تُرِيدُونَ أَن تَسْـَٔلُوا۟ رَسُولَكُمْ كَمَا سُئِلَ مُوسَىٰ مِن قَبْلُ ۗ وَمَن يَتَبَدَّلِ ٱلْكُفْرَ بِٱلْإِيمَٰنِ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَآءَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ Or you wish that you keep questioning that which was sent to you as how was questioned Moosa of before? And whoever exchanges the denial with the conviction thus so has strayed away from evenness of the path.
⦿
Or would ye question your messenger as Moses was questioned aforetime? He who chooseth disbelief instead of faith, verily he hath gone astray from a plain road. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Would you question your Apostle as Moses was questioned formerly? Whoever changes faith for unfaith certainly strays from the right way. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
Do you want to address the Prophet in the same manner in which Moses was addressed? Anyone who exchanges belief for disbelief has certainly gone down the wrong path. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
Rather you wish to put questions to your Apostle, as Musa was questioned before; and whoever adopts unbelief instead of faith, he indeed has lost the right direction of the way. - Shakir, Habib

Do you [all] want to question your messenger just as Moses was questioned previously? Anyone who exchanges faith for unbelief has strayed from the right path. - Wahiduddin Khan

اے لوگو! کیا تم یہ چاہتے ہو کہ اپنے رسول سے ویسا ہی مطالبہ کرو جیسا کہ موسٰی علیھ السّلامسے کیاگیا تھا تویاد رکھو کہ جس نے ایمان کو کفر سے بدل لیا وہ بدترین راستہ پر گمراہ ہوگیا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پھر کیا تم اپنے رسول سے اس قسم کے سوالات اور مطالبہ کرنا چاہتے ہو، جیسے اس سے پہلے موسیٰؑ سے کیے جا چکے ہیں؟ حالانکہ جس شخص نے ایمان کی روش کو کفر کی روش سے بدل لیا وہ راہ راست سے بھٹک گیا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

کیا یہ چاہتے ہو کہ اپنے رسول سے ویسا سوال کرو جو موسیٰ سے پہلے ہوا تھا اور جو ایمان کے بدلے کفر لے وہ ٹھیک راستہ بہک گیا - - Ahmed Raza

(اے مسلمانو) کیا تم چاہتے ہو کہ اپنے رسول سے ویسے ہی (احمقانہ) سوال کرو۔ جیسے اس سے پہلے موسیٰ سے کئے گئے تھے؟ اور جس شخص نے ایمان کے عوض کفر اختیار کیا وہ راہِ راست سے بھٹک گیا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Desire
كَثِيرٌۭ
many
مِّنْ
from
أَهْلِ
(non-blood) family of
ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
the Book
لَوْ
that
يَرُدُّونَكُم
they could make you turn back
مِّنۢ
from
بَعْدِ
after
إِيمَٰنِكُمْ
your surety,
كُفَّارًا
to denial,
حَسَدًۭا
being jealous
مِّنْ
from
عِندِ
against
أَنفُسِهِم
themselves,
مِّنۢ
from
بَعْدِ
after
مَا
what
تَبَيَّنَ
you make distinct
لَهُمُ
for them of
ٱلْحَقُّ
the fact.
ۖ
فَٱعْفُوا۟
Forgive
وَٱصْفَحُوا۟
and pardon,
حَتَّىٰ
till
يَأْتِىَ
delivers
ٱللَّهُ
the One
بِأَمْرِهِۦٓ
with His command;
ۗ
إِنَّ
certainly
ٱللَّهَ
the One
عَلَىٰ
upon
كُلِّ
every
شَىْءٍۢ
thing is
قَدِيرٌۭ
capable.
٢
١٠٩
وَدَّ كَثِيرٌۭ مِّنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَوْ يَرُدُّونَكُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ إِيمَٰنِكُمْ كُفَّارًا حَسَدًۭا مِّنْ عِندِ أَنفُسِهِم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۖ فَٱعْفُوا۟ وَٱصْفَحُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يَأْتِىَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَمْرِهِۦٓ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ Desire many from (non-blood) family of the Book that they could make you turn back from after your surety, to denial, being jealous from against themselves, from after what you make distinct for them of the fact. Forgive and pardon, till delivers the One with His command; certainly the One upon every thing is capable.

Many of the people of the Scripture long to make you disbelievers after your belief, through envy on their own account, after the truth hath become manifest unto them. Forgive and be indulgent (toward them) until Allah give command. Lo! Allah is Able to do all things. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Many of the People of the Book are eager to turn you into unbelievers after your faith, out of their inner envy, [and] after the truth had become manifest to them. Yet excuse [them] and forbear until Allah issues His edict. Indeed Allah has power over all things. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Once you have accepted the faith, many of the People of the Book would love, out of envy, to turn you back to disbelief, even after the Truth has become evident to them. Have forgiveness and bear with them until God issues His order. God has power over all things. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Many of the followers of the Book wish that they could turn you back into unbelievers after your faith, out of envy from themselves, (even) after the truth has become manifest to them; but pardon and forgive, so that Allah should bring about His command; surely Allah has power over all things. - Shakir, Habib

Many among the People of the Book wish, through envy, to lead you back to unbelief, now that you have embraced the faith and the truth has been made plain to them. But you should pardon them and bear with them until God gives His command. Truly, God has power over all things. - Wahiduddin Khan

بہت سے اہلِ کتاب یہ چاہتے ہیں کہ تمہیں بھی ایمان کے بعد کافر بنالیں وہ تم سے حسد رکھتے ہیں ورنہ حق ان پر بالکل واضح ہے تو اب تم انہیں معاف کردو اور ان سے درگزر کرو یہاں تک کہ خدا اپنا کوئی حکم بھیج دے اور اللہ ہر شے پر قادر ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اہل کتاب میں سے اکثر لوگ یہ چاہتے ہیں کہ کسی طرح تمہیں ایمان سے پھیر کر پھر کفر کی طرف پلٹا لے جائیں اگرچہ حق ان پر ظاہر ہو چکا ہے، مگر اپنے نفس کے حسد کی بنا پر تمہارے لیے ان کی یہ خواہش ہے اس کے جواب میں تم عفو و در گزر سے کام لو یہاں تک کہ اللہ خود ہی اپنا فیصلہ نافذ کر دے مطمئن رہو کہ اللہ تعالیٰ ہر چیز پر قدرت رکھتا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

بہت کتابیوں نے چاہا کاش تمہیں ایمان کے بعد کفر کی طرف پھیردیں اپنے دلوں کی جلن سے بعد اس کے کہ حق ان پر خوب ظاہر ہوچکا ہے تو تم چھوڑو اور درگزر کرو یہاں تک کہ اللہ اپنا حکم لائے بیشک اللہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے - - Ahmed Raza

(اے مسلمانو!) بہت سے اہل کتاب اپنے ذاتی حسد کی وجہ سے چاہتے ہیں کہ ایمان لانے کے بعد تمہیں پھر کافر بنا دیں باوجودیکہ ان پر حق واضح ہو چکا ہے سو تم عفو و درگزر سے کام لو یہاں تک کہ اللہ ان کے بارے میں اپنا حکم بھیجے یقینا اللہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
the discipline,

and produce

the freedom;
ۚ
وَمَا
and what
تُقَدِّمُوا۟
you put forth
لِأَنفُسِكُم
for your own self
مِّنْ
of
خَيْرٍۢ
goodness,
تَجِدُوهُ
you will find it
عِندَ
near
ٱللَّهِ
the One;
ۗ
إِنَّ
surely
ٱللَّهَ
the One
بِمَا
with what
تَعْمَلُونَ
you are doing,
بَصِيرٌۭ
is observant.
٢
١١٠
وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُوا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ ۚ وَمَا تُقَدِّمُوا۟ لِأَنفُسِكُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍۢ تَجِدُوهُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌۭ And establish the discipline, and produce the freedom; and what you put forth for your own self of goodness, you will find it near the One; surely the One with what you are doing, is observant.

Establish worship, and pay the poor-due; and whatever of good ye send before (you) for your souls, ye will find it with Allah. Lo! Allah is Seer of what ye do. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And maintain the prayer and give the zakat. Any good that you send ahead for your own souls, you shall find it with Allah. Indeed Allah watches what you do. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
Be steadfast in your prayer and pay the religious tax. You will receive a good reward from God for all your good works. God is Well-aware of what you do. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and whatever good you send before for yourselves, you shall find it with Allah; surely Allah sees what you do. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
Attend to your prayers and pay the prescribed alms; any good you store up for yourselves, you will find it with God. Certainly, God sees what you do. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور تم نماز قائم کرو اور زکوِٰ ادا کرو کہ جو کچھ اپنے واسطے پہلے بھیج دو گے سب خدا کے یہاں مل جائے گا. خدا تمہارے اعمال کو خوب دیکھنے والا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

نماز قائم کرو اور زکوٰۃ دو تم اپنی عاقبت کے لیے جو بھلائی کما کر آگے بھیجو گے، اللہ کے ہاں اسے موجود پاؤ گے جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو، وہ سب اللہ کی نظر میں ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور نماز قائم رکھو اور زکوٰة دو اور اپنی جانوں کے لئے جو بھلائی آگے بھیجو گے اسے اللہ کے یہاں پاؤ گے بیشک اللہ تمہارے کام دیکھ رہا ہے- - Ahmed Raza

اور نماز قائم کرو۔ اور زکوٰۃ ادا کرو۔ اور جو کچھ نیکی اور بھلائی اپنے لئے (زادِ راہ کے طور پر) آگے بھیج دوگے اسے اللہ کے یہاں موجود پاؤگے جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو اللہ اسے دیکھ رہا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَقَالُوا۟
And they say,
لَن
[Never shall
يَدْخُلَ
enter
ٱلْجَنَّةَ
the paradise
إِلَّا
except for
مَن
who
كَانَ
was
هُودًا
of intimidating sect
أَوْ
or
نَصَٰرَىٰ
helper sect].
ۗ
تِلْكَ
That is
أَمَانِيُّهُمْ
their wishful-thinking.
ۗ
قُلْ
Say,
هَاتُوا۟
[Bring forth
بُرْهَٰنَكُمْ
your evidence
إِن
if
كُنتُمْ
you are
صَٰدِقِينَ
truthful people].
٢
١١١
وَقَالُوا۟ لَن يَدْخُلَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا مَن كَانَ هُودًا أَوْ نَصَٰرَىٰ ۗ تِلْكَ أَمَانِيُّهُمْ ۗ قُلْ هَاتُوا۟ بُرْهَٰنَكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ And they say, [Never shall enter the paradise except for who was of intimidating sect or helper sect]. That is their wishful-thinking. Say, [Bring forth your evidence if you are truthful people].

And they say: None entereth paradise unless he be a Jew or a Christian. These are their own desires. Say: Bring your proof (of what ye state) if ye are truthful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And they say, [No one will enter paradise except one who is a Jew or Christian.] Those are their [false] hopes! Say, [Produce your evidence, should you be truthful.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

They have said that no one can ever go to Paradise except the Jews or Christians, but this is only what they hope. Ask them to prove that their claim is true. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And they say: None shall enter the garden (or paradise) except he who is a Jew or a Christian. These are their vain desires. Say: Bring your proof if you are truthful. - Shakir, Habib

They declare, [None shall ever enter Heaven unless he be a Jew or a Christian.] This is their own wishful thinking. [Prophet], say, [Produce your evidence if you are telling the truth.] - Wahiduddin Khan

یہ یہودی کہتے ہیں کہ جنّت میں یہودیوں اور عیسائیوں کے علاوہ کوئی داخل نہ ہوگا. یہ صرف ان کی امیدیں ہیں. ان سے کہہ دیجئے کہ اگر تم سچّے ہو تو کوئی دلیل لے آؤ - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ان کا کہنا ہے کہ کوئی شخص جنت میں نہ جائے گا جب تک کہ وہ یہودی نہ ہو (یا عیسائیوں کے خیال کے مطابق) عیسائی نہ ہو یہ ان کی تمنائیں ہیں ان سے کہو، اپنی دلیل پیش کرو، اگر تم اپنے دعوے میں سچے ہو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور وہ (یہود و نصاریٰ) کہتے ہیں کہ کوئی ہرگز جنت میں داخل نہیں ہوگا مگر وہی جو یہودی و نصرانی ہوگا۔ یہ ان کی خیال بندیاں اور خالی تمنائیں ہیں۔ ان سے کہہ دیجئے کہ اگر تم (اپنے دعویٰ میں) سچے ہو تو اپنی کوئی دلیل پیش کرو۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

بَلَىٰ
Certainly,
مَنْ
whoever
أَسْلَمَ
submitted
وَجْهَهُۥ
his target
لِلَّهِ
to the One,
وَهُوَ
and he was
مُحْسِنٌۭ
a good-doer,
فَلَهُۥٓ
then for him
أَجْرُهُۥ
his reward is
عِندَ
from
رَبِّهِۦ
his Rabb,
وَلَا
and no
خَوْفٌ
fear
عَلَيْهِمْ
upon them,
وَلَا
and not
هُمْ
they are
يَحْزَنُونَ
depressed.
٢
١١٢
بَلَىٰ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ وَجْهَهُۥ لِلَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٌۭ فَلَهُۥٓ أَجْرُهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ Certainly, whoever submitted his target to the One, and he was a good-doer, then for him his reward is from his Rabb, and no fear upon them, and not they are depressed.
⦿
Nay, but whosoever surrendereth his purpose to Allah while doing good, his reward is with his Lord; and there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
Certainly, whoever submits his will to Allah and is virtuous, he shall have his reward from his Lord, and they will have no fear, nor shall they grieve. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
However, one who accepts Islam in submission to God and does good, will have his reward with God. Such people will have nothing to fear nor to grieve about. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
Yes! whoever submits himself entirely to Allah and he is the doer of good (to others) he has his reward from his Lord, and there is no fear for him nor shall he grieve. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
Indeed, those who submit themselves to God and act righteously shall be rewarded by their Lord: they shall have no fear, nor shall they grieve. - Wahiduddin Khan

نہیں جو شخص اپنا رخ خدا کی طرف کردے گااور نیک عمل کرے گا اس کے لئے پروردگار کے یہاں اجر ہے اور نہ کوئی خوف ہے نہ حزن - Jawadi, Zeeshan

دراصل نہ تمہاری کچھ خصوصیت ہے، نہ کسی اور کی حق یہ ہے کہ جو بھی اپنی ہستی کو اللہ کی اطاعت میں سونپ دے اور عملاً نیک روش پر چلے، اس کے لیے اس کے رب کے پاس اُس کا اجر ہے اور ایسے لوگوں کے لیے کسی خوف یا رنج کا کوئی موقع نہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

ہاں کیوں نہیں جس نے اپنا منہ جھکایا اللہ کے لئے اور وہ نیکو کار ہے تو اس کا نیگ اس کے رب کے پاس ہے اور انہیں کچھ اندیشہ ہو اور نہ کچھ غم- - Ahmed Raza

ہاں۔ (کسی کی کوئی خصوصیت نہیں ہے) جو شخص (حق سن کر) اپنا سر تسلیم خدا کے سامنے خم کر دے اور (مقام عمل میں) نیکوکار بھی ہو تو اس کے پروردگار کے پاس اس کا اجر و ثواب ہے اور (قیامت کے دن) ایسے لوگوں کو کوئی خوف نہ ہوگا اور نہ وہ غمگین ہوں گے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَقَالَتِ
And is said by
ٱلْيَهُودُ
the Yahood (intimidating) sect,
لَيْسَتِ
[Not are
ٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ
the helper sect
عَلَىٰ
upon
شَىْءٍۢ
anything],
وَقَالَتِ
while say
ٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ
the Helper sect
لَيْسَتِ
[Not are
ٱلْيَهُودُ
the Yahood (intimidating) sect,
عَلَىٰ
upon
شَىْءٍۢ
a thing],
وَهُمْ
while they both
يَتْلُونَ
read
ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
the Book.
ۗ
كَذَٰلِكَ
That is how
قَالَ
say
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
لَا
do not
يَعْلَمُونَ
know,
مِثْلَ
just as how
قَوْلِهِمْ
they had said.
ۚ
فَٱللَّهُ
Accordingly the One
يَحْكُمُ
shall judge
بَيْنَهُمْ
between them
يَوْمَ
on day of
ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
the establishment (of Allah's laws without ifs and buts)
فِيمَا
in that which
كَانُوا۟
they were
فِيهِ
in it
يَخْتَلِفُونَ
were disagreeing.

وَقَالَتِ ٱلْيَهُودُ لَيْسَتِ ٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍۢ وَقَالَتِ ٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ لَيْسَتِ ٱلْيَهُودُ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍۢ وَهُمْ يَتْلُونَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِمْ ۚ فَٱللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا۟ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ And is said by the Yahood (intimidating) sect, [Not are the helper sect upon anything], while say the Helper sect [Not are the Yahood (intimidating) sect, upon a thing], while they both read the Book. That is how say those who do not know, just as how they had said. Accordingly the One shall judge between them on day of the establishment (of Allah's laws without ifs and buts) in that which they were in it were disagreeing.

And the Jews say the Christians follow nothing (true), and the Christians say the Jews follow nothing (true); yet both are readers of the Scripture. Even thus speak those who know not. Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they differ. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

The Jews say, [The Christians stand on nothing,] and the Christians say, [The Jews stand on nothing,] though they follow the [same] Book. The Jews accuse the Christians of having no basis for their religion and the Christians accuse the Jews of having no basis for their religion, even though both sides read the Scripture. اور یہودی کہتے ہیں کہ نصاریٰ کا مذہب کچھ نہیں ہے اور نصاریٰ کہتے ہیں کہ یہودیوں کی کوئی بنیاد نہیں ہے حالانکہ دونوں ہی کتاب الٰہی کی تلاوت کرتے ہیں اور اس کے پہلے جاہل مشرکین عرب بھی یہی کہا کرتے تھے. خدا ان سب کے درمیان روزِ قیامت فیصلہ کرنے والا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan
