⦿
And warn mankind of a day when the doom will come upon them, and those who did wrong will say: Our Lord! Reprieve us for a little while. We will obey Thy call and will follow the messengers. (It will be answered): Did ye not swear before that there would be no end for you?
- Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
Warn the people of the day when the punishment will overtake them, whereat the wrongdoers will say, [Our Lord! Respite us for a short time so that we may respond to Your call and follow the apostles.] [They will be told,] [Did you not use to swear earlier that there would be no reverse for you,
- Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
(Muhammad), warn the people of the day when torment will approach them and the unjust will say, [Lord, give us respite for a little time so that we may answer your call and follow the Messengers.] (The answer to their prayer will be), [Did you not swear before that you would never perish?
- Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And warn people of the day when the chastisement shall come to them, then those who were unjust will say: O our Lord! respite us to a near term, (so) we shall respond to Thy call and follow the apostles. What! did you not swear before (that) there will be no passing away for you!
- Shakir, Habib
⦿
Warn men of the Day when the punishment will come upon them, and when the wrongdoers will say, [Our Lord, grant us respite for a short while. We will respond to Your call and will follow the messengers.] [But God will answer], are you not those who swore that you would never suffer any decline?
- Wahiduddin Khan

- Jawadi, Zeeshan
⦿
- Maududi, Abul A'ala
⦿
- Ahmed Raza
⦿

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.

Because the process must be transparent, the entire website is available for you to download. You can go through the code, and if you can make any improvements to this process, you are most welcome to. It is a humble request to update me regarding the improvements so I can also update myself.

Due Credits:

This website was possible by help of many people and forums who helped me to learn Arabic, Philosophy, Law, Psychology, and PHP and other Web scripts. To be honest, I do not even know the names of many but I did learn from them. Some of these people were already dead by the time I read their input.

The entire code of this website is available for the same reason, that what they taught me, I can only pay it forward.

The Arabic text of the Quran was obtained from Tanzil. The additional translations were also obtained from Tanzil from this link.

The social-sharing images of verses were obtained from Legacy Quran.com, and were then resized for proper social-media display.
