وَٱلَّذِينَ

مَسْجِدًۭا

ضِرَارًۭا

وَكُفْرًۭا

وَتَفْرِيقًۢا

بَيْنَ

ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

وَإِرْصَادًۭا

لِّمَنْ

حَارَبَ

ٱللَّهَ

١٠٧

وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مَسْجِدًۭا ضِرَارًۭا وَكُفْرًۭا وَتَفْرِيقًۢا بَيْنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَإِرْصَادًۭا لِّمَنْ حَارَبَ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ مِن قَبْلُ ۚ وَلَيَحْلِفُنَّ إِنْ أَرَدْنَآ إِلَّا ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ۖ وَٱللَّهُ يَشْهَدُ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَٰذِبُونَ

⦿

And as for those who chose a place of worship out of opposition and disbelief, and in order to cause dissent among the believers, and as an outpost for those who warred against Allah and His messenger aforetime, they will surely swear: We purposed naught save good. Allah beareth witness that they verily are liars.

As for those who took to a mosque for sabotage and for defiance, and to cause division among the faithful, and for the purpose of ambush [used] by those who have fought Allah and His Apostle before—they will surely swear, [We desired nothing but good,] and Allah bears witness that they are indeed liars.

The mosque which some of the hypocrites have established is only to harm people, to spread disbelief, to create discord among the believers, to wait for the one who fought against God and His Messenger, and to make others believe that it has been established with their good intentions. But God testifies that they are liars.

And those who built a masjid to cause harm and for unbelief and to cause disunion among the believers and an ambush to him who made war against Allah and His Apostle before; and they will certainly swear: We did not desire aught but good; and Allah bears witness that they are most surely liars.

Then there are those who built a mosque to cause harm, to spread apostasy and disunity among the believers -- as an outpost for those who from the outset warred on God and His Messenger. They swear, [Our intentions were nothing but good,] but God bears witness that they are lying.

اور جن لوگوں نے مسجد ضرار بنائی کہ اس کے ذریعہ اسلام کو نقصان پہنچائیں اور کفر کو تقویت بخشیں اور مومنین کے درمیان اختلاف پیدا کرائیں اور پہلے سے خدا و رسول سے جنگ کرنے والوں کے لئے پناہ گاہ تیار کریں وہ بھی منافقین ہی ہیں اور یہ قسم کھاتے ہیں کہ ہم نے صرف نیکی کے لئے مسجد بنائی ہے حالانکہ یہ خدا گواہی دیتا ہے کہ یہ سب جھوٹے ہیں

کچھ اور لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے ایک مسجد بنائی اِس غرض کے لیے کہ (دعوت حق کو) نقصان پہنچائیں، اور (خدا کی بندگی کرنے کے بجائے) کفر کریں، اور اہل ایمان میں پھوٹ ڈالیں، اور (اس بظاہر عبادت گاہ کو) اُس شخص کے لیے کمین گاہ بنائیں جو اس سے پہلے خدا اور رسولؐ کے خلاف بر سر پیکار ہو چکا ہے وہ ضرور قسمیں کھا کھا کر کہیں گے کہ ہمارا ارادہ تو بھلائی کے سوا کسی دوسری چیز کا نہ تھا مگر اللہ گواہ ہے کہ وہ قطعی جھوٹے ہیں

اور وہ جنہوں نے مسجد بنائی نقصان پہنچانے کو اور کفر کے سبب اور مسلمانوں میں تفرقہ ڈالنے کو اور اس کے انتظار میں جو پہلے سے اللہ اور اس کے رسول کا مخالف ہے اور وہ ضرور قسمیں کھائیں گے ہم نے تو بھلائی چاہی، اور اللہ گواہ ہے کہ وہ بیشک جھوٹے ہیں،

اور (منافقین میں سے) وہ لوگ بھی ہیں۔ جنہوں نے اس غرض سے ایک مسجد بنائی کہ نقصان پہنچائیں، کفر کریں اور مؤمنین میں تفرقہ ڈالیں۔ اور ان لوگوں کے لیے کمین گاہ بنائیں جو اس سے پہلے خدا و رسول سے جنگ کر چکے ہیں وہ ضرور قَسمیں کھائیں گے کہ بھلائی کے سوا ہمارا کوئی مقصد نہیں ہے اور اللہ گواہی دیتا ہے کہ یہ جھوٹے ہیں۔

لَا تَقُمْ فِيهِ أَبَدًۭا ۚ لَّمَسْجِدٌ أُسِّسَ عَلَى ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ مِنْ أَوَّلِ يَوْمٍ أَحَقُّ أَن تَقُومَ فِيهِ ۚ فِيهِ رِجَالٌۭ يُحِبُّونَ أَن يَتَطَهَّرُوا۟ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُطَّهِّرِينَ

⦿

Never stand (to pray) there. A place of worship which was found upon duty (to Allah) from the first day is more worthy that thou shouldst stand (to pray) therein, wherein are men who love to purify themselves. Allah loveth the purifiers.

Do not stand in it ever! A mosque founded on Godwariness from the [very] first day is worthier that you stand in it [for prayer]. Therein are men who love to keep pure, and Allah loves those who keep pure.

(Muhammad), never stay in that mosque. The mosque which was established for a pious purpose and before all other mosques is more virtuous for your prayer. In this mosque, there are people who love to be purified. God loves those who purify themselves.

Never stand in it; certainly a masjid founded on piety from the very first day is more deserving that you should stand in it; in it are men who love that they should be purified; and Allah loves those who purify themselves.

خبردار آپ اس مسجد میں کبھی کھڑے بھی نہ ہوں بلکہ جس مسجد کی بنیاد روز اوّل سے تقوٰیٰ پر ہے وہ اس قابل ہے کہ آپ اس میں نماز ادا کریں -اس میں وہ مرد بھی ہیں جو طہارت کو دوست رکھتے ہیں اور خدا بھی پاکیزہ افراد سے محبت کرتا ہے

تم ہرگز اس عمارت میں کھڑے نہ ہونا جو مسجد اول روز سے تقویٰ پر قائم کی گئی تھی وہی اس کے لیے زیادہ موزوں ہے کہ تم اس میں (عباد ت کے لیے) کھڑے ہو، اس میں ایسے لوگ ہیں جو پاک رہنا پسند کرتے ہیں اور اللہ کو پاکیزگی اختیار کرنے والے ہی پسند ہیں

⦿

اس مسجد میں تم کبھی کھڑے نہ ہونا، بیشک وہ مسجد کہ پہلے ہی دن سے جس کی بنیاد پرہیزگاری پر رکھی گئی ہے وہ اس قابل ہے کہ تم اس میں کھڑے ہو، اس میں وہ لوگ ہیں کہ خوب ستھرا ہونا چاہتے ہیں اور ستھرے اللہ کو پیارے ہیں،

(اے رسول(ص)) تم ہرگز اس عمارت میں کھڑے نہ ہونا۔ بے شک وہ مسجد جس کی اول دن سے تقویٰ و پرہیزگاری پر بنیاد رکھی گئی ہے۔ اس کی زیادہ مستحق ہے کہ آپ اس میں کھڑے ہوں (مسجد قبا و مسجد نبوی) اس میں ایسے لوگ ہیں جو پاک و صاف رہنا پسند کرتے ہیں اور اللہ پاک و صاف رہنے والوں کو ہی پسند کرتا ہے

أَفَمَنْ أَسَّسَ بُنْيَٰنَهُۥ عَلَىٰ تَقْوَىٰ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضْوَٰنٍ خَيْرٌ أَم مَّنْ أَسَّسَ بُنْيَٰنَهُۥ عَلَىٰ شَفَا جُرُفٍ هَارٍۢ فَٱنْهَارَ بِهِۦ فِى نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

⦿

Is he who founded his building upon duty to Allah and His good pleasure better; or he who founded his building on the brink of a crumbling, overhanging precipice so that it toppled with him into the fire of hell? Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.

Is he who founds his building on Godwariness and [the pursuit of Allah]s] pleasure better-off or he who founds his building on the brink of a collapsing bank which collapses with him into the fire of hell? Allah does not guide the wrongdoing lot.

Which is better, the mosque that is founded for pious purposes and for achieving God's pleasure or that which is based on the brink of a crumbling bank and which may crumble into hell at any moment? God does not guide the unjust.

Is he, therefore, better who lays his foundation on fear of Allah and (His) good pleasure, or he who lays his foundation on the edge of a cracking hollowed bank, so it broke down with him into the fire of hell; and Allah does not guide the unjust people.

کیا جس نے اپنی بنیاد خوف خدا اور رضائے الٰہی پر رکھی ہے وہ بہتر ہے یا جس نے اپنی بنیاد اس گرتے ہوئے کگارے کے کنارے پر رکھی ہو کہ وہ ساری عمارت کو لے کر جہّنم میں گر جائے اوراللہ ظالم قوم کی ہدایت نہیں کرتا ہے

پھر تمہارا کیا خیال ہے کہ بہتر انسان وہ ہے جس نے اپنی عمارت کی بنیاد خدا کے خوف اور اس کی رضا کی طلب پر رکھی ہو یا وہ جس نے اپنی عمارت ایک وادی کی کھوکھلی بے ثبات کگر پر اٹھائی اور وہ اسے لے کر سیدھی جہنم کی آگ میں جا گری؟ ایسے ظالم لوگوں کو اللہ کبھی سیدھی راہ نہیں دکھاتا

تو کیا جس نے اپنی بنیاد رکھی اللہ سے ڈر اور اس کی رضا پر وہ بھلا یا وہ جس نے اپنی نیو چنی ایک گراؤ (ٹوٹے ہوئے کناروں والے) گڑھے کے کنارے تو وہ اسے لے کر جہنم کی آ گ میں ڈھے پڑا اور اللہ ظالموں کو راہ نہیں دیتا،

آیا وہ شخص بہتر ہے جو اپنی عمارت کی بنیاد خوفِ خدا اور اس کی خوشنودی پر رکھے یا وہ جس نے اپنی عمارت کی بنیاد ایک کھائی کے گرتے ہوئے کنارے پر رکھی اور پھر وہ اسے لے کر دوزخ کی آگ میں جاگری اور اللہ ظالموں کو منزلِ مقصود تک نہیں پہنچاتا۔

لَا يَزَالُ بُنْيَٰنُهُمُ ٱلَّذِى بَنَوْا۟ رِيبَةًۭ فِى قُلُوبِهِمْ إِلَّآ أَن تَقَطَّعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ

The building which they built will never cease to be a misgiving in their hearts unless their hearts be torn to pieces. Allah is Knower, Wise.

یہ عمارت جو انہوں نے بنائی ہے، ہمیشہ ان کے دلوں میں بے یقینی کی جڑ بنی رہے گی (جس کے نکلنے کی اب کوئی صورت نہیں) بجز اس کے کہ ان کے دل ہی پارہ پارہ ہو جائیں اللہ نہایت باخبر اور حکیم و دانا ہے

وہ تعمیر جو چنی (کی) ہمیشہ ان کے دلوں میں کھٹکتی رہے گی مگر یہ کہ ان کے دل ٹکڑے ٹکڑے ہوجائیں اور اللہ علم و حکمت والا ہے،

یہ عمارت جو ان لوگوں نے بنائی ہے (مسجدِ ضرار) یہ ہمیشہ ان کے دلوں کو مضطرب رکھے گی مگر یہ کہ ان کے دل ٹکڑے ٹکڑے ہو جائیں بلاشبہ خدا بڑا جاننے والا، بڑا حکمت والا ہے۔

ٱلْفَوْزُ

ٱلْعَظِيمُ

١١١

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱشْتَرَىٰ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَأَمْوَٰلَهُم بِأَنَّ لَهُمُ ٱلْجَنَّةَ ۚ يُقَٰتِلُونَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ فَيَقْتُلُونَ وَيُقْتَلُونَ ۖ وَعْدًا عَلَيْهِ حَقًّۭا فِى ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ وَٱلْإِنجِيلِ وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ۚ وَمَنْ أَوْفَىٰ بِعَهْدِهِۦ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ فَٱسْتَبْشِرُوا۟ بِبَيْعِكُمُ ٱلَّذِى بَايَعْتُم بِهِۦ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ

⦿

Lo! Allah hath bought from the believers their lives and their wealth because the Garden will be theirs: they shall fight in the way of Allah and shall slay and be slain. It is a promise which is binding on Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur'an. Who fulfilleth His covenant better than Allah? Rejoice then in your bargain that ye have made, for that is the supreme triumph.

Indeed Allah has bought from the faithful their souls and their possessions for paradise to be theirs: they fight in the way of Allah, kill, and are killed. A promise binding upon Him in the Torah and the Evangel and the Quran. And who is truer to his promise than Allah? So rejoice in the bargain you have made with Him, and that is the great success.

God has purchased the souls and property of the believers in exchange for Paradise. They fight for the cause of God to destroy His enemies and to sacrifice themselves. This is a true promise which He has revealed in the Torah, the Gospel, and the Quran. No one is more true to His promise than God. Let this bargain be glad news for them. This is indeed the supreme triumph.

Surely Allah has bought of the believers their persons and their property for this, that they shall have the garden; they fight in Allah's way, so they slay and are slain; a promise which is binding on Him in the Taurat and the Injeel and the Quran; and who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah? Rejoice therefore in the pledge which you have made; and that is the mighty achievement.

بیشک اللہ نے صاحبانِ ایمان سے ان کے جان و مال کو جنّت کے عوض خریدلیا ہے کہ یہ لوگ راہ هخدا میں جہاد کرتے ہیں اور دشمنوں کو قتل کرتے ہیں اور پھر خود بھی قتل ہوجاتے ہیں یہ وعدئہ برحق توریت ,انجیل اور قرآن ہر جگہ ذکر ہوا ہے اور خدا سے زیادہ اپنی عہد کا پورا کرنے والا کون ہوگا تو اب تم لوگ اپنی اس تجارت پر خوشیاں مناؤ جو تم نے خدا سے کی ہے کہ یہی سب سے بڑی کامیابی ہے

حقیقت یہ ہے کہ اللہ نے مومنوں سے ان کے نفس اور ان کے مال جنت کے بدلے خرید لیے ہیں وہ اللہ کی راہ میں لڑتے اور مارتے اور مرتے ہیں ان سے (جنت کا وعدہ) اللہ کے ذمے ایک پختہ وعدہ ہے توراۃ اور انجیل اور قرآن میں اور کون ہے جو اللہ سے بڑھ کر اپنے عہد کا پورا کرنے والا ہو؟ پس خوشیاں مناؤ اپنے اس سودے پر جو تم نے خدا سے چکا لیا ہے، یہی سب سے بڑی کامیابی ہے

ٱلتَّٰٓئِبُونَ ٱلْعَٰبِدُونَ ٱلْحَٰمِدُونَ ٱلسَّٰٓئِحُونَ ٱلرَّٰكِعُونَ ٱلسَّٰجِدُونَ ٱلْـَٔامِرُونَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَٱلنَّاهُونَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ وَٱلْحَٰفِظُونَ لِحُدُودِ ٱللَّهِ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

⦿

(Triumphant) are those who turn repentant (to Allah), those who serve (Him), those who praise (Him), those who fast, those who bow down, those who fall prostrate (in worship), those who enjoin the right and who forbid the wrong and those who keep the limits (ordained) of Allah - And give glad tidings to believers!

[The faithful are] penitent, devout, celebrators of Allah]s praise, wayfarers, who bow [and] prostrate [in prayer], bid what is right and forbid what is wrong, and keep Allah]s bounds—and give good news to the faithful.

It is not for the Prophet, and those who believe, to pray for the forgiveness of idolaters even though they may be near of kin (to them) after it hath become clear that they are people of hell-fire.

The prayer of Abraham for the forgiveness of his father was only because of a promise he had promised him, but when it had become clear unto him that he (his father) was an enemy to Allah he (Abraham) disowned him. Lo! Abraham was soft of heart, long-suffering.

Abraham]s pleading forgiveness for his father was only to fulfill a promise he had made him. So when it became manifest to him that he was an enemy of God, he repudiated him. Indeed Abraham was most plaintive and forbearing.

اور ابراہیم کا اپنے باپ کی بخشش چاہنا وہ تو نہ تھا مگر ایک وعدے کے سبب جو اس سے کرچکا تھا پھر جب ابراہیم کو کھل گیا کہ وہ اللہ کا دشمن ہے اس سے تنکا توڑ دیا (لاتعلق ہوگیا) بیشک ابراہیم بہت آہیں کرنے والا متحمل ہے،

It was never Allah's (part) that He should send a folk astray after He had guided them until He had made clear unto them what they should avoid. Lo! Allah is Aware of all things.

and the matter;

يُحْىِۦ

He gives life

وَيُمِيتُ

and He makes die;

وَمَا

and neither is

لَكُم

for you

مِّن

from

دُونِ

that which is beneath

ٱللَّهِ

the One

مِن

وَلِىٍّۢ

a protector,

وَلَا

nor

نَصِيرٍۢ

a helper.

١١٦

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ ۚ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَلِىٍّۢ وَلَا نَصِيرٍۢ

Certainly the One is for Whom is ownership of the atmospheres and the matter; He gives life and He makes die; and neither is for you from that which is beneath the One of a protector, nor a helper.

Lo! Allah! Unto Him belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. He quickeneth and He giveth death. And ye have, instead of Allah, no protecting friend nor helper.

١١٧

لَّقَد تَّابَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَى ٱلنَّبِىِّ وَٱلْمُهَٰجِرِينَ وَٱلْأَنصَارِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُ فِى سَاعَةِ ٱلْعُسْرَةِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا كَادَ يَزِيغُ قُلُوبُ فَرِيقٍۢ مِّنْهُمْ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ بِهِمْ رَءُوفٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ

Allah hath turned in mercy to the Prophet, and to the Muhajirin and the Ansar who followed him in the hour of hardship. After the hearts of a party of them had almost swerved aside, then turned He unto them in mercy. Lo! He is Full of Pity, Merciful for them.

Certainly Allah turned clemently to the Prophet and the Emigrants and the Helpers, who followed him in the hour of difficulty, after the hearts of a part of them were about to swerve. Then He turned clemently to them—indeed, He is most kind and merciful to them

God pardoned the Prophet, the Emigrants, the Helpers, and those who followed them, when the hearts of some of them almost deviated (from the truth) in their hour of difficulty. God forgave them because of His Compassion and Mercy.

اللہ نے معاف کر دیا نبیؐ کو اور ان مہاجرین و انصار کو جنہوں نے بڑی تنگی کے وقت میں نبیؐ کا ساتھ دیا اگر چہ ان میں سے کچھ لوگوں کے دل کجی کی طرف مائل ہو چکے تھے (مگر جب انہوں نے اس کجی کا اتباع نہ کیا بلکہ نبیؐ کا ساتھ ہی دیا تو) اللہ نے انہیں معاف کر دیا، بے شک اُس کا معاملہ اِن لوگوں کے ساتھ شفقت و مہربانی کا ہے

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.

Because the process must be transparent, the entire website is available for you to download. You can go through the code, and if you can make any improvements to this process, you are most welcome to. It is a humble request to update me regarding the improvements so I can also update myself.
