Work not confusion in the earth after the fair ordering (thereof). and call on Him in fear and hope. Lo! the mercy of Allah is nigh unto the good. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُرْسِلُ ٱلرِّيَٰحَ بُشْرًۢا بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَحْمَتِهِۦ ۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَقَلَّتْ سَحَابًۭا ثِقَالًۭا سُقْنَٰهُ لِبَلَدٍۢ مَّيِّتٍۢ فَأَنزَلْنَا بِهِ ٱلْمَآءَ فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِۦ مِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And He it is Who sendeth the winds as tidings heralding His mercy, till, when they bear a cloud heavy (with rain), We lead it to a dead land, and then cause water to descend thereon and thereby bring forth fruits of every kind. Thus bring We forth the dead. Haply ye may remember. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

It is He who sends forth the winds as harbingers of His mercy. When they bear [rain-] laden clouds, We drive them toward a dead land and send down water on it, and with it We bring forth all kinds of crops. Thus shall We raise the dead; maybe you will take admonition. - Qarai, Ali Quli

God sends the wind bearing the glad news of His mercy. When heavy clouds are formed, We drive them unto a barren country and rain down on it water to cause all kinds of fruits to grow. In the same way do We bring the dead to life again. Perhaps you would take heed. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And He it is Who sends forth the winds bearing good news before His mercy, until, when they bring up a laden cloud, We drive it to a dead land, then We send down water on it, then bring forth with it of fruits of all kinds; thus shall We bring forth the dead that you may be mindful. - Shakir, Habib

وہ خدا وہ ہے جو ہواؤں کو رحمت کی بشارت بناکر بھیجتا ہے یہاں تک کہ جب ہوائیں وزنی بادلوں کو اٹھالیتی ہیں تو ہم ان کو مردہ شہروں کو زندہ کرنے کے لئے لے جاتے ہیں اور پھر پانی برسادیتے ہیں اور اس کے ذریعہ مختلف پھل پیدا کردیتے ہیں اور اسی طرح ہم مفِدوں کو زندہ کردیا کرتے ہیں کہ شاید تم عبرت و نصیحت حاصل کرسکو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور وہ اللہ ہی ہے جو ہواؤں کو اپنی رحمت کے آگے آگے خوشخبری لیے ہوئے بھیجتا ہے، پھر جب وہ پانی سے لدے ہوئے بادل اٹھا لیتی ہیں تو انہیں کسی مردہ سر زمین کی طرف حرکت دیتا ہے، اور وہاں مینہ برسا کر (اُسی مری ہوئی زمین سے) طرح طرح کے پھل نکال لاتا ہے دیکھو، اس طرح ہم مُردوں کو حالت موت سے نکالتے ہیں، شاید کہ تم اس مشاہدے سے سبق لو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور وہی ہے کہ ہوائیں بھیجتا ہے اس کی رحمت کے آگے مژدہ سناتی یہاں تک کہ جب اٹھا لائیں بھاری بادل ہم نے اسے کسی مردہ شہر کی طرف چلایا پھر اس سے پانی اتارا پھر اس سے طرح طرح کے پھل نکالے اسی طرح ہم مُردوں کو نکالیں گے کہیں تم نصیحت مانو، - Ahmed Raza

وہ وہی (خدا) ہے جو اپنی رحمت (بارش) سے پہلے ہواؤں کو خوشخبری کے لئے بھیجتا ہے یہاں تک کہ جب وہ بھاری بادلوں کو اٹھا لیتی ہیں تو ہم انہیں کسی مردہ بستی کی طرف ہانک کر لے جاتے ہیں اور پھر وہاں پانی برسا دیتے ہیں۔ اور پھر ہم اس کے ذریعہ سے طرح طرح کے پھل نکالتے ہیں اسی طرح ہم مردوں کو (بھی زندہ کرکے) باہر نکالیں گے شاید کہ تم عبرت اور نصیحت حاصل کرو۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَٱلْبَلَدُ ٱلطَّيِّبُ يَخْرُجُ نَبَاتُهُۥ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِۦ ۖ وَٱلَّذِى خَبُثَ لَا يَخْرُجُ إِلَّا نَكِدًۭا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍۢ يَشْكُرُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

As for the good land, its vegetation cometh forth by permission of its Lord; while as for that which is bad, only the useless cometh forth (from it). Thus do We recount the tokens for people who give thanks. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

The good land—its vegetation comes out by the permission of its Lord, and as for that which is bad, it does not come out except sparsely. Thus do We paraphrase the signs variously for a people who give thanks. - Qarai, Ali Quli

A good land produces plants, by the permission of its Lord, but a wicked land produces only miserable, bitter plants. Thus do We show a variety of evidence for those who give thanks. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And as for the good land, its vegetation springs forth (abundantly) by the permission of its Lord, and (as for) that which is inferior (its herbage) comes forth but scantily; thus do We repeat the communications for a people who give thanks. - Shakir, Habib

اور پاکیزہ زمین کا سبزہ بھی اس کے پروردگار کے حکم سے خوب نکلتا ہے اور جو زمین خبیث ہوتی ہے اس کا سبزہ بھی خراب نکلتا ہے ہم اسی طرح شکر کرنے والی قوم کے لئے اپنی آیتیں الٹ پلٹ کر بیان کرتے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

جو زمین اچھی ہوتی ہے وہ اپنے رب کے حکم سے خوب پھل پھول لاتی ہے اور جو زمین خراب ہوتی ہے ا س سے ناقص پیداوار کے سوا کچھ نہیں نکلتا اس طرح ہم نشانیوں کو بار بار پیش کرتے ہیں اُن لوگوں کے لیے جو شکر گزار ہونے والے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جو اچھی زمین ہے اس کا سبزہ اللہ کے حکم سے نکلتا ہے اور جو خراب ہے اس میں نہیں نکلتا مگر تھوڑا بمشکل ہم یونہی طرح طرح سے آیتیں بیان کرتے ہیں ان کے لیے جو احسان مانیں، - Ahmed Raza

Certainly
أَرْسَلْنَا
We sent
نُوحًا
Nooh
إِلَىٰ
towards
قَوْمِهِۦ
his people
فَقَالَ
thus he said,
يَٰقَوْمِ
[O nation!
ٱعْبُدُوا۟
Be in servitude of
ٱللَّهَ
the One —
مَا
not
لَكُم
for you is
مِّنْ
of
إِلَٰهٍ
a master
غَيْرُهُۥٓ
other than Him —
إِنِّىٓ
I am
أَخَافُ
worried
عَلَيْكُمْ
over you for
عَذَابَ
punishment of
يَوْمٍ
a period
عَظِيمٍۢ
extremely long.]

٥٩
لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ فَقَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥٓ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍۢ Certainly We sent Nooh towards his people thus he said, [O nation! Be in servitude of the One — not for you is of a master other than Him — I am worried over you for punishment of a period extremely long.]

We sent Noah (of old) unto his people, and he said: O my people! Serve Allah. Ye have no other Allah save Him. Lo! I fear for you the retribution of an Awful Day. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Certainly We sent Noah to his people. He said, [O my people, worship Allah! You have no other god besides Him. Indeed I fear for you the punishment of a tremendous day.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

the head clerics

his nation,
إِنَّا
[Certainly we
لَنَرَىٰكَ
see you
فِى

ضَلَٰلٍۢ
misguidance
مُّبِينٍۢ
obviously.]
Said the head clerics from his nation, [Certainly we see you in misguidance obviously.]

The chieftains of his people said: Lo! we see thee surely in plain error. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

The elite of his people said, [Indeed we see you in manifest error.] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
A group of his people said to him, [You are absolutely wrong.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

The chiefs of his people said: Most surely we see you in clear error. - Shakir, Habib

but the leading men of his people said, [Truly, we see that you are obviously lost in error!] - Wahiduddin Khan

تو قوم کے رؤسا نے جواب دیا کہ ہم تم کو کھلی ہوئی گمراہی میں دیکھ رہے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اس کی قوم کے سرداروں نے جواب دیا ——ہم کو تو یہ نظر آتا ہے کہ تم صریح گمراہی میں مبتلا ہو—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

Marvel ye that there should come unto you a Reminder from your Lord by means of a man among you, that he may warn you, and that ye may keep from evil, and that haply ye may find mercy. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Do you consider it odd that a reminder from your Lord should come to you through a man from among yourselves, to warn you so that you may be Godwary and so that you may receive His mercy?] - Qarai, Ali Quli

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَنجَيْنَٰهُ وَٱلَّذِينَ مَعَهُۥ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ وَأَغْرَقْنَا ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا عَمِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

But they denied him, so We saved him and those with him in the ship, and We drowned those who denied Our tokens. Lo! they were blind folk. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

But they denied him. So We delivered him and those who were with him in the ark, and We drowned those who denied Our signs. Indeed, they were a blind lot. - Qarai, Ali Quli

They accused him of telling lies. So We saved him and his companions in an ark and drowned those who called Our revelations mere lies. They were, no doubt, a blind people. - Sarwar, Muhammad

But they called him a liar, so We delivered him and those with him in the ark, and We drowned those who rejected Our communications; surely they were a blind people. - Shakir, Habib

پھر ان لوگوں نے نوح علیھ السّلامکی تکذیب کی تو ہم نے انہیں اور ان کے ساتھیوں کو کشتی میں نجات دے دی اور جن لوگوں نے ہماری آیتوں کو جھٹلایا تھا انہیں غرق کردیا کہ وہ سب بالکل اندھے لوگ تھے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

مگر انہوں نے اس کو جھٹلا دیا آخر کار ہم نے اسے اور اس کے ساتھیوں کو ایک کشتی میں نجات دی اور اُن لوگوں کو ڈبو دیا جنہوں نے ہماری آیات کو جھٹلایا تھا، یقیناً وہ اندھے لوگ تھے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تو انہوں نے اسے جھٹلایا تو ہم نے اسے اور جو اس کے ساتھ کشتی میں تھے نجات دی اور اپنی آیتیں جھٹلانے والوں کو ڈبو دیا، بیشک وہ اندھا گروہ تھا - Ahmed Raza

And to
عَادٍ
'Aad
أَخَاهُمْ
their brother
هُودًۭا
Hood (was sent).
ۗ
قَالَ
He said,
يَٰقَوْمِ
[O nation!
ٱعْبُدُوا۟
Be in servitude of
ٱللَّهَ
the One
مَا
— not
لَكُم
for you is
مِّنْ
from
إِلَٰهٍ
an unchallenged master
غَيْرُهُۥٓ
except Him.
ۚ
أَفَلَا
Then why do not
تَتَّقُونَ
you wake up?]
٧
٦٥
وَإِلَىٰ عَادٍ أَخَاهُمْ هُودًۭا ۗ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥٓ ۚ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ And to 'Aad their brother Hood (was sent). He said, [O nation! Be in servitude of the One — not for you is from an unchallenged master except Him. Then why do not you wake up?]

And unto (the tribe of) A'ad (We sent) their brother, Hud. He said: O my people! Serve Allah. Ye have no other Allah save Him. Will ye not ward off (evil)? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And to [the people of] [Ad [We sent] Hud, their brother. He said, [O my people, worship Allah! You have no other god besides Him. Will you not then be wary [of Him]?] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
We sent Hud to his brethren, the tribe of `Ad, who told them, [Worship God for He is your only Lord. Will you not become pious?] - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And to Ad (We sent) their brother Hud. He said: O my people! serve Allah, you have no god other than Him; will you not then guard (against evil)? - Shakir, Habib

To the people of 'Ad We sent their brother, Hud. He said, [O my people, worship God, you have no other god but He. Then will you not be God-fearing?] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور ہم نے قوم عاد علیھ السّلامکی طرف ان کے بھائی ہود کو بھیجا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ اے قوم والو اللہ کی عبادت کرو اس کے علاوہ تمہارا دوسرا خدا نہیں ہے کیا تم ڈرتے نہیں ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور عاد کی طرف ہم نے ان کے بھائی ہودؑ کو بھیجا اس نے کہا ——اے برادران قو م، اللہ کی بندگی کرو، اُس کے سوا تمہارا کوئی خدا نہیں ہے پھر کیا تم غلط روی سے پرہیز نہ کرو گے؟—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور عاد کی طرف ان کی برادری سے ہود کو بھیجا کہا اے میری قوم اللہ کی بندگی کرو اس کے سوا تمہارا کوئی معبود نہیں، تو کیا تمہیں ڈر نہیں - Ahmed Raza

اور ہم نے قومِ عاد کی طرف ان کے (قومی) بھائی ہود کو بھیجا۔ انہوں نے کہا! اے میری قوم! اللہ کی عبادت کرو۔ اس کے سوا تمہارا کوئی الٰہ نہیں ہے۔ آخر تم پرہیزگاری کیوں اختیار نہیں کرتے؟ - Najafi, Muhammad

Replied
ٱلْمَلَأُ
the religious clerics,
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
كَفَرُوا۟
were in denial
مِن
from
قَوْمِهِۦٓ
his nation,
إِنَّا
[Certainly we
لَنَرَىٰكَ
for sure see you
فِى
in
سَفَاهَةٍۢ
foolishness
وَإِنَّا
and certainly
لَنَظُنُّكَ
we see you to be
مِنَ
from
ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ
the liars,]
٧
٦٦
قَالَ ٱلْمَلَأُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن قَوْمِهِۦٓ إِنَّا لَنَرَىٰكَ فِى سَفَاهَةٍۢ وَإِنَّا لَنَظُنُّكَ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ Replied the religious clerics, the ones who were in denial from his nation, [Certainly we for sure see you in foolishness and certainly we see you to be from the liars,]

The chieftains of his people, who were disbelieving, said: Lo! we surely see thee in foolishness, and lo! we deem thee of the liars. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
The elite of his people who were faithless said, [Indeed we see you to be in folly, and indeed we consider you to be a liar.] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
A group of the unbelievers among his people said, [You look to us like a fool and we think that you are a liar]. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
The chiefs of those who disbelieved from among his people said: Most surely we see you in folly, and most surely we think you to be of the liars. - Shakir, Habib

The leading men of his people who refused to acknowledge the truth, said, [We can see you are a foolish man, and we think you are lying.] - Wahiduddin Khan

قوم میں سے کفر اختیار کرنے والے رؤسا نے کہا کہ ہم تم کو حماقت میں مبتلا دیکھ رہے ہیں اور ہمارے خیال میں تم جھوٹوں میں سے ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan
