And not it is about a verse of a poet; little is what you have trust in.

وَلَا بِقَوْلِ كَاهِنٍۢ ۚ قَلِيلًۭا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ

And not is about a speech of a soothsayer; little is what you remember.

تَنزِيلٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

A continuation from Rabb of all the states of being.

عَلَيْنَا

upon Us

بَعْضَ

some things

ٱلْأَقَاوِيلِ

that which you say yourself.

وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْضَ ٱلْأَقَاوِيلِ

And if you were to say upon Us some things that which you say yourself.

And if he had invented false sayings concerning Us,

Thus We will take

مِنْهُ

of you

بِٱلْيَمِينِ

by your right.

لَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِٱلْيَمِينِ

Thus We will take of you by your right.

And then severed his life-artery,
