وَكَذَٰلِكَ
And that is how
فَتَنَّا
We test
بَعْضَهُم
some of them
بِبَعْضٍۢ
through some else
لِّيَقُولُوٓا۟
for they say,
أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
[Are these of those who have
مَنَّ
favour of
ٱللَّهُ
the One
عَلَيْهِم
upon them
مِّنۢ
from
بَيْنِنَآ
apart of us?]
ۗ
أَلَيْسَ
Is it not that
ٱللَّهُ
the One is
بِأَعْلَمَ
with knowledge
بِٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ
regarding the thankful ones?
٦
٥٣
وَكَذَٰلِكَ فَتَنَّا بَعْضَهُم بِبَعْضٍۢ لِّيَقُولُوٓا۟ أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ مَنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنۢ بَيْنِنَآ ۗ أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَعْلَمَ بِٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ
And that is how We test some of them through some else for they say, [Are these of those who have favour of the One upon them from apart of us?] Is it not that the One is with knowledge regarding the thankful ones?

And even so do We try some of them by others, that they say: Are these they whom Allah favoureth among us? Is not Allah best Aware of the thanksgivers?

Thus do We test them by means of one another so that they should say, [Are these the ones whom Allah has favoured from among us?!] Does not Allah know best the grateful?!

We test some of them by the conditions of the others so that the rich and proud ones (seeing your poor and humble followers) would say, [Are these the ones from among all of us whom God has chosen to favor?] Does not God know those who give thanks (much better than others do).

دراصل ہم نے اس طرح ان لوگوں میں سے بعض کو بعض کے ذریعہ سے آزمائش میں ڈالا ہے تاکہ وہ اِنہیں دیکھ کر کہیں ——کیا یہ ہیں وہ لوگ جن پر ہمارے درمیان اللہ کا فضل و کرم ہوا ہے؟—— ہاں! کیا خدا اپنے شکر گزار بندوں کو اِن سے زیادہ نہیں جانتا ہے؟

وَإِذَا
And whenever
جَآءَكَ
come to you,
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
يُؤْمِنُونَ
are sure
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
about Our signs,
فَقُلْ
thus say,
سَلَٰمٌ
[Peace be
عَلَيْكُمْ
upon you all.]
ۖ
كَتَبَ
Has prescribed
رَبُّكُمْ
your Rabb
عَلَىٰ
upon
نَفْسِهِ
Himself
ٱلرَّحْمَةَ
the mercy;
ۖ
أَنَّهُۥ
indeed for
مَنْ
who
عَمِلَ
did
مِنكُمْ
from you
سُوٓءًۢا
crimes
بِجَهَٰلَةٍۢ
in ignorance,
ثُمَّ
then
تَابَ
returned
مِنۢ
from
بَعْدِهِۦ
after it,
وَأَصْلَحَ
and took corrective measures,
فَأَنَّهُۥ
thus He is
غَفُورٌۭ
forgiving,
رَّحِيمٌۭ
merciful.
٦
٥٤
وَإِذَا جَآءَكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَقُلْ سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ كَتَبَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ ٱلرَّحْمَةَ ۖ أَنَّهُۥ مَنْ عَمِلَ مِنكُمْ سُوٓءًۢا بِجَهَٰلَةٍۢ ثُمَّ تَابَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ وَأَصْلَحَ فَأَنَّهُۥ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ
And whenever come to you, the ones who are sure about Our signs, thus say, [Peace be upon you all.] Has prescribed your Rabb upon Himself the mercy; indeed for who did from you crimes in ignorance, then returned from after it, and took corrective measures, thus He is forgiving, merciful.

And when those who believe in Our revelations come unto thee, say: Peace be unto you! Your Lord hath prescribed for Himself mercy, that whoso of you doeth evil through ignorance and repenteth afterward thereof and doeth right, (for him) lo! He is Forgiving, Merciful.

When those who have faith in Our signs come to you, say, [Peace to you! Your Lord has made mercy incumbent upon Himself: whoever of you commits an evil [deed] out of ignorance and then repents after that and reforms, then He is indeed all-forgiving, all-merciful.]

When the faithful come to you, say to them, [Peace be upon you. Your Lord has decreed for Himself to be All-merciful. Anyone of you who commits a sin out of ignorance, then repents, and reforms himself will find that God is All-forgiving and All-merciful.]

And when those who believe in Our communications come to you, say: Peace be on you, your Lord has ordained mercy on Himself, (so) that if any one of you does evil in ignorance, then turns after that and acts aright, then He is Forgiving, Merciful.

اور جب آپ کے پاس وہ لوگ آئیں جو ہماری آیتوں پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں تو ان سے کہئے السلام علیکم ...._ تمہارے پروردگار نے اپنے اوپر رحمت لازم قرر دے لی ہے کہ تم میں جو بھی ازروئے جہالت برائی کرے گا اور اس کے بعد توبہ کرکے اپنی اصلاح کرلے گا تو خدا بہت زیادہ بخشنے والا اور مہربان ہے

جب تمہارے پاس وہ لوگ آئیں جو ہماری آیات پر ایمان لاتے ہیں تو ان سے کہو ——تم پر سلامتی ہے تمہارے رب نے رحم و کرم کا شیوہ اپنے اوپر لازم کر لیا ہے یہ اس کا رحم و کرم ہی ہے کہ اگر تم میں سے کوئی نادانی کے ساتھ کسی برائی کا ارتکاب کر بیٹھا ہو پھر اس کے بعد توبہ کرے اور اصلاح کر لے تو وہ اُسے معاف کر دیتا ہے اور نرمی سے کام لیتا ہے——

اور جب تمہارے حضور وہ حاضر ہوں جو ہماری آیتوں پر ایمان لاتے ہیں تو ان سے فرماؤ تم پر سلام تمہارے رب نے اپنے ذمہ کرم پر رحمت لازم کرلی ہے کہ تم میں جو کوئی نادانی سے کچھ برائی کر بیٹھے پھر اس کے بعد توبہ کرے اور سنور جائے تو بیشک اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے،

اور جب آپ کے پاس وہ لوگ آئیں جو ہماری آیتوں پر ایمان لائے ہیں تو ان سے کہو سلامٌ علیکم (تم پر سلامتی ہو)۔ تمہارے پروردگار نے اپنے اوپر رحمت لازم قرار دی ہے (لہٰذا) اگر تم میں سے کوئی شخص جہالت و نادانی کی وجہ سے کوئی برائی کرے پھر اس کے بعد توبہ کرلے اور اپنی اصلاح کرلے تو بےشک وہ (اللہ) بڑا بخشنے والا، بڑا رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

And that is how
نُفَصِّلُ
We explain
ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ
the signs,
وَلِتَسْتَبِينَ
and for you to become separate from
سَبِيلُ
way of
ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
the criminals.
٦
٥٥
وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ وَلِتَسْتَبِينَ سَبِيلُ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
And that is how We explain the signs, and for you to become separate from way of the criminals.

Thus do We expound the revelations that the way of the unrighteous may be manifest.

Say,
إِنِّى

نُهِيتُ
forbidden
أَنْ

أَعْبُدَ
I obey
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
تَدْعُونَ
call upon
مِن
someone from
دُونِ
beneath
ٱللَّهِ
the One.]
ۚ
قُل
Say,
لَّآ
[Not
أَتَّبِعُ
I adhere to
أَهْوَآءَكُمْ
your whims.
ۙ
قَدْ
So thus if
ضَلَلْتُ
I go to darkness
إِذًۭا
whenever,
وَمَآ
and not
أَنَا۠
I would be
مِنَ
from
ٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ
the guided ones.]
٦
٥٦
قُلْ إِنِّى نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ ٱلَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ قُل لَّآ أَتَّبِعُ أَهْوَآءَكُمْ ۙ قَدْ ضَلَلْتُ إِذًۭا وَمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ
Say, [I am forbidden that I obey the ones who call upon someone from beneath the One.] Say, [Not I adhere to your whims. So thus if I go to darkness whenever, and not I would be from the guided ones.]

Say: I am forbidden to worship those on whom ye call instead of Allah. Say: I will not follow your desires, for then should I go astray and I should not be of the rightly guided.

Say, [I have been forbidden to worship those whom you invoke besides Allah.] Say, [I do not follow your desires, for then I will have gone astray, and I will not be among the [rightly] guided.]

(Muhammad), tell them, [I am commanded not to worship the idols instead of God. I do not follow your desires lest I go astray and miss the true guidance]

Say: I am forbidden to serve those whom you call upon besides Allah. Say: I do not follow your low desires. for then indeed I should have gone astray and I should not be of those who go aright.

آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ مجھے اس بات سے روکا گیا ہے کہ میں ان کی عبادت کروں جنہیں تم خدا کو چھوڑ کر پکارتے ہو کہہ دیجئے کہ میں تمہاری خواہشات کا اتباع نہیں کرسکتا کہ اس طرح گمراہ ہوجاؤں گا اور ہدایت یافتہ نہ رہ سکوں گا

اے محمدؐ! اِن سے کہو کہ تم لوگ اللہ کے سوا جن دوسروں کو پکارتے ہو اُن کی بندگی کرنے سے مجھے منع کیا گیا ہے کہو، میں تمہاری خواہشات کی پیروی نہیں کروں گا، اگر میں نے ایسا کیا تو گمراہ ہو گیا، راہ راست پانے والوں میں سے نہ رہا

تم فرماؤ مجھے منع کیا گیا ہے کہ انہیں پوجوں جن کو تم اللہ کے سوا پوجتے ہو تم فرماؤ میں تمہاری خواہشوں پر نہیں چلتا یوں ہو تو میں بہک جاؤں اور راہ پر نہ رہوں،

اے رسول(ص) کہہ دیجیے! کہ مجھے منع کیا گیا ہے کہ میں ان (معبودانِ باطل) کی عبادت کروں جن کو تم اللہ کے سوا خدا کہہ کر پکارتے ہو میں تمہاری خواہشات کی پیروی نہیں کروں گا۔ اس صورت میں تو میں گمراہ ہو جاؤں گا۔ اور ہدایت یافتہ لوگوں سے نہ رہوں گا۔

تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
you quickly establish
بِهِۦٓ
about it.
ۚ
إِنِ
Indeed
ٱلْحُكْمُ
the virdict is
إِلَّا
not but
لِلَّهِ
for the One;
ۖ
يَقُصُّ
being narrated with
ٱلْحَقَّ
the fact;
ۖ
وَهُوَ
and He is
خَيْرُ
best of
ٱلْفَٰصِلِينَ
the explainers.]
٦
٥٧
قُلْ إِنِّى عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّى وَكَذَّبْتُم بِهِۦ ۚ مَا عِندِى مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنِ ٱلْحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ ۖ يَقُصُّ ٱلْحَقَّ ۖ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ ٱلْفَٰصِلِينَ
Say, [I am upon clarity from my Rabb while you continously lie regarding it; not from me is what you quickly establish about it. Indeed the virdict is not but for the One; being narrated with the fact; and He is best of the explainers.]

Say: I am (relying) on clear proof from my Lord, while ye deny Him. I have not that for which ye are impatient. The decision is for Allah only. He telleth the truth and He is the Best of Deciders.

Say, [Indeed I stand on a manifest proof from my Lord and you have denied it. What you seek to hasten is not up to me. Judgement belongs only to Allah; He expounds the truth and He is the best of judges.]

Say, [I have received enough authoritative evidence from my Lord but you have rejected it. Whatever (torment that God has threatened you with for your disbelief) and that which you insist on to experience without delay, is not in my hands. The (final) Judgment is in the hands of God. He reveals the Truth and He is the best Judge.

Say: Surely I have manifest proof from my Lord and you call it a lie; I have not with me that which you would hasten; the judgment is only Allah's; He relates the truth and He is the best of deciders.

کہہ دیجئے کہ میں پروردگار کی طرف سے کھلی ہوئی دلیل رکھتا ہوں اور تم نے اسے جھٹلایا ہے تو میرے پاس وہ عذاب نہیں ہے جس کی تمہیں جلدی ہے حکم صرف اللہ کے اختیار میں ہے وہی حق کو بیان کرتا ہے اور وہی بہترین فیصلہ کرنے والا ہے

کہو، میں اپنے رب کی طرف سے ایک دلیل روشن پر قائم ہوں اور تم نے اسے جھٹلا دیا ہے، اب میرے اختیار میں وہ چیز ہے نہیں جس کے لیے تم جلدی مچا رہے ہو، فیصلہ کا سارا اختیار اللہ کو ہے، وہی امر حق بیان کرتا ہے اور وہی بہترین فیصلہ کرنے والا ہے

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.

Because the process must be transparent, the entire website is available for you to download. You can go through the code, and if you can make any improvements to this process, you are most welcome to. It is a humble request to update me regarding the improvements so I can also update myself.
