Say: Shall I seek another than Allah for Lord, when He is Lord of all things? Each soul earneth only on its own account, nor doth any laden bear another's load. Then unto your Lord is your return and He will tell you that wherein ye differed. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Say, [Shall I seek a Lord other than Allah, while He is the Lord of all things?] No soul does evil except against itself, and no bearer shall bear another]s burden; then to your Lord will be your return, whereat He will inform you concerning that about which you used to differ. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), tell them, [Should I take a lord besides God when He is the Lord of all things?] All one's evil deeds are against one's own soul. No one will be considered responsible for another's sins. You will all be returned to your Lord who will tell you what is right and wrong in disputed matters among you. - Sarwar, Muhammad

کہو، کیا میں اللہ کے سوا کوئی اور رب تلاش کروں حالاں کہ وہی ہر چیز کا رب ہے؟ ہر شخص جو کچھ کماتا ہے اس کا ذمہ دار وہ خود ہے، کوئی بوجھ اٹھانے والا دوسرے کا بوجھ نہیں اٹھاتا، پھر تم سب کو اپنے رب کی طرف پلٹنا ہے، اُس وقت وہ تمہارے اختلافات کی حقیقت تم پر کھول دے گا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تم فرماؤ کیا اللہ کے سوا اور رب چاہوں حالانکہ وہ ہر چیز کا رب ہے اور جو کوئی کچھ کمائے وہ اسی کے ذمہ ہے، اور کوئی بوجھ اٹھانے والی جان دوسرے کا بوجھ نہ اٹھائے گی پھر تمہیں اپنے رب کی طرف پھرنا ہے وہ تمہیں بتادے گا جس میں اختلاف کرتے تھے، - Ahmed Raza

He it is Who hath placed you as viceroys of the earth and hath exalted some of you in rank above others, that He may try you by (the test of) that which He hath given you. Lo! Thy Lord is swift in prosecution, and Lo! He verily is Forgiving, Merciful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

It is He who has made you successors on the earth, and raised some of you in rank above others so that He may test you in respect to what He has given you. Indeed your Lord is swift in retribution, and indeed, He is all-forgiving, all-merciful. - Qarai, Ali Quli

On earth, We have made each of your generations the successors of their predecessors; We have made some of you do good deeds of a higher degree than others. He will test you in this way through what He has revealed to you. Your Lord's retribution is swift and He is certainly All-forgiving and All-merciful. - Sarwar, Muhammad

اور وہی ہے جس نے زمین میں تمہیں نائب کیا اور تم میں ایک کو دوسرے پر درجوں بلندی دی کہ تمہیں آزمائے اس چیز میں جو تمہیں عطا کی بیشک تمہارے رب کو عذاب کرتے دیر نہیں لگتی اور بیشک وہ ضرور بخشنے والا مہربان ہے، - Ahmed Raza
