إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
ءَامَنُوا۟
had conviction,
وَٱلَّذِينَ
and the ones who were
هَادُوا۟
the intimidators,
وَٱلصَّٰبِـُٔونَ
and the hard workers,
وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ
and the helpers,
مَنْ
who
ءَامَنَ
became sure
بِٱللَّهِ
about the One,
وَٱلْيَوْمِ
and the day
ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ
that is to come,
وَعَمِلَ
and worked
صَٰلِحًۭا
constructively,
فَلَا
then no
خَوْفٌ
intimidation
عَلَيْهِمْ
upon them
وَلَا
and not
هُمْ
they are
يَحْزَنُونَ
depressed.
٥
٦٩
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ وَٱلصَّٰبِـُٔونَ وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحًۭا فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ Indeed the ones who had conviction, and the ones who were the intimidators, and the hard workers, and the helpers, who became sure about the One, and the day that is to come, and worked constructively, then no intimidation upon them and not they are depressed.

Lo! those who believe, and those who are Jews, and Sabaeans, and Christians - Whosoever believeth in Allah and the Last Day and doeth right - there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Indeed the faithful, the Jews, the Sabaeans, and the Christians—those who have faith in Allah and the Last Day and act righteously—they will have no fear, nor will they grieve. - Qarai, Ali Quli

لَقَدْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَٰقَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَأَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهِمْ رُسُلًۭا ۖ كُلَّمَا جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌۢ بِمَا لَا تَهْوَىٰٓ أَنفُسُهُمْ فَرِيقًۭا كَذَّبُوا۟ وَفَرِيقًۭا يَقْتُلُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

We made a covenant of old with the Children of Israel and We sent unto them messengers. As often as a messenger came unto them with that which their souls desired not (they became rebellious). Some (of them) they denied and some they slew. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Certainly We took a pledge from the Children of Israel, and We sent apostles to them. Whenever an apostle brought them that which was not to their liking, they would impugn a part of them, and a part they would slay. - Qarai, Ali Quli

They thought no harm would come of it, so they were wilfully blind and deaf. And afterward Allah turned (in mercy) toward them. Now (even after that) are many of them wilfully blind and deaf. Allah is Seer of what they do. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They supposed there would be no testing, so they became blind and deaf. Thereafter Allah accepted their repentance, yet [again] many of them became blind and deaf, and Allah watches what they do. - Qarai, Ali Quli

They were blind and deaf in their pride, thinking themselves (to be the chosen nation of God) and thus safe from calamities. God forgave them but many of them out, of pride, again became blind and deaf. God is Well Aware of what they do. - Sarwar, Muhammad

اور اپنے نزدیک یہ سمجھے کہ کوئی فتنہ رونما نہ ہوگا، اس لیے اندھے اور بہرے بن گئے پھر اللہ نے اُنہیں معاف کیا تو اُن میں سے اکثر لوگ اور زیادہ اندھے اور بہرے بنتے چلے گئے اللہ اُن کی یہ سب حرکات دیکھتا رہا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

لَقَدْ كَفَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْمَسِيحُ ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ ۖ وَقَالَ ٱلْمَسِيحُ يَٰبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّى وَرَبَّكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ مَن يُشْرِكْ بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدْ حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَمَأْوَىٰهُ ٱلنَّارُ ۖ وَمَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ مِنْ أَنصَارٍۢ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. The Messiah (himself) said: O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Lo! whoso ascribeth partners unto Allah, for him Allah hath forbidden paradise. His abode is the Fire. For evil-doers there will be no helpers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They are certainly faithless who say, [Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary.] But the Messiah had said, [O Children of Israel! Worship Allah, my Lord, and your Lord. Indeed whoever ascribes partners to Allah, Allah shall forbid him [entry into] paradise, and his refuge shall be the Fire, and the wrongdoers will not have any helpers.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Those who say that Jesus, the son of Mary, is God, have, in fact, turned to disbelief. Jesus said to the Israelites, [Worship God, my Lord and yours. God will deprive anyone who considers anything equal to God of Paradise and his dwelling will be fire. The unjust people have no helpers.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

Certainly they disbelieve who say: Surely Allah, He is the Messiah, son of Marium; and the Messiah said: O Children of Israel! serve Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Surely whoever associates (others) with Allah, then Allah has forbidden to him the garden, and his abode is the fire; and there shall be no helpers for the unjust. - Shakir, Habib

Indeed, they are deniers of the truth who say, [God is the Christ, the son of Mary.] For the Christ himself said, [Children of Israel, serve God, my Lord and your Lord.] If anyone associates anything with God, God will forbid him the Garden and the Fire will be his home. یقینا وہ لوگ کافر ہیں جن کا کہنا ہے کہ اللہ ہی مسیح علیھ السّلامبن مریم ہیں جبکہ خود مسیح کا کہنا ہے کہ اے بنی اسرائیل اپنے اور میرے پروردگار کی عبادت کرو -جو کوئی اس کا شریک قرار دے گا اس پر خدا نے جنّت حرام کردی ہے اور اس کا انجام جہّنم ہے اور ظالموں کا کوئی مددگار نہ ہوگا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یقیناً کفر کیا اُن لوگوں نے جنہوں نے کہا کہ اللہ مسیح ابن مریم ہی ہے حالانکہ مسیح نے کہا تھا کہ ——اے بنی اسرائیل! اللہ کی بندگی کرو جو میرا رب بھی ہے اور تمہارا رب بھی—— جس نے اللہ کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک ٹھیرایا اُس پر اللہ نے جنت حرام کر دی اور اُس کا ٹھکانا جہنم ہے اور ایسے ظالموں کا کوئی مدد گار نہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

غَفُورٌۭ
forgiving,
رَّحِيمٌۭ
merciful.
Then why not they return to the One and ask for His forgiveness? And the One is forgiving, merciful.

We make clear
لَهُمُ
for them
ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ
the signs,
ثُمَّ
then
ٱنظُرْ
see
أَنَّىٰ
how
يُؤْفَكُونَ
they are being foolish.

٧٥
مَّا ٱلْمَسِيحُ ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ إِلَّا رَسُولٌۭ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِ ٱلرُّسُلُ وَأُمُّهُۥ صِدِّيقَةٌۭ ۖ كَانَا يَأْكُلَانِ ٱلطَّعَامَ ۗ ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ نُبَيِّنُ لَهُمُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ ثُمَّ ٱنظُرْ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ Not is al-Maseeh son of Maryam except a messenger, surely passed from before him the messengers, and his mother was truthful; they were consumers of the provisions; see how We make clear for them the signs, then see how they are being foolish.

The Messiah, son of Mary, was no other than a messenger, messengers (the like of whom) had passed away before him. And his mother was a saintly woman. And they both used to eat (earthly) food. See how We make the revelations clear for them, and see how they are turned away! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

قُلْ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًّۭا وَلَا نَفْعًۭا ۚ وَٱللَّهُ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ Say, [Are you servants of that which is lower than the One who not possess for you any pain nor profit? And the One is He who is the Hearer, the Knowledgeable.]
