That Allah may forgive thee of thy sin that which is past and that which is to come, and may perfect His favour unto thee, and may guide thee on a right path, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

that Allah may forgive you what is past of your sin and what is to come, and that He may perfect His blessing upon you and guide you on a straight path, - Qarai, Ali Quli

so that God will redeem the sins (which the pagans think you have committed against them) in the past or (you will commit) in the future. He will complete His favors to you, guide you to the right path, - Sarwar, Muhammad

لِيَزْدَادُوٓا۟
so that they may become even more
إِيمَٰنًۭا
of trust
مَّعَ
with
إِيمَٰنِهِمْ
their conviction;
ۗ
وَلِلَّهِ
and for the One
جُنُودُ
are armies of
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the atmospheres
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
and the land;
ۚ
وَكَانَ
and has been
ٱللَّهُ
the One
عَلِيمًا
knowing,
حَكِيمًۭا
wise.
٤٨
٤
هُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ ٱلسَّكِينَةَ فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ لِيَزْدَادُوٓا۟ إِيمَٰنًۭا مَّعَ إِيمَٰنِهِمْ ۗ وَلِلَّهِ جُنُودُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًۭا He is the Entity who descended the tranquility within hearts of the ones of conviction so that they may become even more of trust with their conviction; and for the One are armies of the atmospheres and the land; and has been the One knowing, wise.

He it is Who sent down peace of reassurance into the hearts of the believers that they might add faith unto their faith. Allah's are the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is ever Knower, Wise - - Pickthall, Marmaduke

It is He who sent down composure into the hearts of the faithful that they might enhance in their faith. To Allah belong the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is all-knowing, all-wise. - Qarai, Ali Quli

It is God who has given confidence to the hearts of the believers to increase and strengthen their faith. To God belongs the armies of the heavens and the earth. He is All-knowing and All-wise. - Sarwar, Muhammad

He it is Who sent down tranquillity into the hearts of the believers that they might have more of faith added to their faith-- and Allah's are the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is Knowing, Wise-- - Shakir, Habib

وہی ہے جس نے مومنوں کے دلوں میں سکینت نازل فرمائی تاکہ اپنے ایمان کے ساتھ وہ ایک ایمان اور بڑھا لیں زمین اور آسمانوں کے سب لشکر اللہ کے قبضہ قدرت میں ہیں اور وہ علیم و حکیم ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

وہی ہے جس نے ایمان والوں کے دلوں میں اطمینان اتارا تاکہ انہیں یقین پر یقین بڑھے اور اللہ ہی کی ملک ہیں تمام لشکر آسمانوں اور زمین کے اور اللہ علم و حکمت والا ہے - Ahmed Raza

وہ (اللہ) وہی ہے جس نے اہلِ ایمان کے دلوں میں سکون و اطمینان اتارا تاکہ وہ اپنے (پہلے) ایمان کے ساتھ ایمان میں اور بڑھ جائیں اور آسمانوں اور زمین کے سب لشکر اللہ ہی کے ہیں اور اللہ بڑا جاننے والا، بڑا حکمت والا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

To make enter
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
the men of trust
وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ
and the women of trust,
جَنَّٰتٍۢ
gardens,
تَجْرِى
flowing
مِن
from
تَحْتِهَا
under them
ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ
streams,
خَٰلِدِينَ
eternalized
فِيهَا
there in,
وَيُكَفِّرَ
and denid
عَنْهُمْ
against them
سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ
their sins;
ۚ
وَكَانَ
and has been
ذَٰلِكَ
that
عِندَ
near
ٱللَّهِ
the One
فَوْزًا
a victory
عَظِيمًۭا
that is glorious.
٤٨
٥
لِّيُدْخِلَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا وَيُكَفِّرَ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ ۚ وَكَانَ ذَٰلِكَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًۭا To make enter the men of trust and the women of trust, gardens, flowing from under them streams, eternalized there in, and denid against them their sins; and has been that near the One a victory that is glorious.

That He may bring the believing men and the believing women into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide, and may remit from them their evil deeds - That, in the sight of Allah, is the supreme triumph - - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
That He may admit the faithful, men and women, into gardens with streams running in them, to remain in them [forever], and that He may absolve them of their misdeeds. That is a great success with Allah. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
So that He would admit the believers (both male and female) to the gardens wherein streams flow, to live therein forever. He will redeem them. This is the greatest triumph in the sight of God, - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
That He may cause the believing men and the believing women to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow to abide therein and remove from them their evil; and that is a grand achievement with Allah - Shakir, Habib
⦿
and so that He might admit the believers, men and women, into Gardens through which rivers flow, to dwell therein forever, and so that He may remove their evils from them, that is, indeed, a supreme triumph in God's eyes, - Wahiduddin Khan

تاکہ مومن مرد اور مومنہ عورتوں کو ان جنتوں میں داخل کردے جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہیں وہ ان ہی میں ہمیشہ رہیں اور ان کی برائیوں کو ان سے دور کردے اور یہی اللہ کے نزدیک عظیم ترین کامیابی ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

(اُس نے یہ کام اِس لیے کیا ہے) تاکہ مومن مردوں اور عورتوں کو ہمیشہ رہنے کے لیے ایسی جنتوں میں داخل فرمائے جن کے نیچے نہریں بہہ رہی ہوں گی اور اُن کی برائیاں اُن سے دور کر دے اللہ کے نزدیک یہ بڑی کامیابی ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تاکہ ایمان والے مردوں اور ایمان والی عورتوں کو باغوں میں لے جائے جن کے نیچے نہریں رواں ہمیشہ ان میں رہیں اور انکی برائیاں ان سے اتار دے، اور یہ اللہ کے یہاں بڑی کامیابی ہے، - Ahmed Raza

(یہ اس لئے ہے) تاکہ وہ مؤمن مَردوں اور مؤمن عورتوں کو ایسے بہشتوں میں داخل کرے جن کے نیچے نہریں رواں دواں ہیں اور وہ ان میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے اور تاکہ ان کی برائیاں ان سے دور کر دے (ان کا کفارہ کر دے) اور یہ اللہ کے نزدیک بڑی کامیابی ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَغَضِبَ

جَهَنَّمَ

وَيُعَذِّبَ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقَٰتِ وَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ وَٱلْمُشْرِكَٰتِ ٱلظَّآنِّينَ بِٱللَّهِ ظَنَّ ٱلسَّوْءِ ۚ عَلَيْهِمْ دَآئِرَةُ ٱلسَّوْءِ ۖ وَغَضِبَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَنَهُمْ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ وَسَآءَتْ مَصِيرًۭا [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And may punish the hypocritical men and the hypocritical women, and the idolatrous men and the idolatrous women, who think an evil thought concerning Allah. For them is the evil turn of fortune, and Allah is wroth against them and hath cursed them, and hath made ready for them hell, a hapless journey's end. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

That He may punish the hypocrites, men and women, and the polytheists, men and women, who entertain a bad opinion of Allah. For them shall be an adverse turn of fortune: Allah is wrathful with them and He has cursed them, and prepared hell for them and it is an evil destination. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
so that He would punish the hypocrites and the pagans who have evil suspicions about God. It is they who are surrounded by evil and have become subject to the wrath and condemnation of God. He has prepared for them hell, a terrible place to live. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And (that) He may punish the hypocritical men and the hypocritical women, and the polytheistic men and the polytheistic women, the entertainers of evil thoughts about Allah. On them is the evil turn, and Allah is wroth with them and has cursed them and prepared hell for them, and evil is the resort. - Shakir, Habib

and so that He might punish hypocritical men and women as well as the polytheists men and women who think evil thoughts about God; an evil turn of fortune will fall upon them, for God has become angry with them, and has rejected them and prepared Hell for them. How evil is such a destination. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور منافق مرد, منافق عورتیں اور مشرک مرد و عورت جو خدا کے بارے میں برے برے خیالات رکھتے ہیں ان سب پر عذاب نازل کرے ان کے سر عذاب کی گردش ہے اور ان پر اللہ کا غضب ہے خدا نے ان پر لعنت کی ہے اور ان کے لئے جہّنم کو مہیاّ کیا ہے جو بدترین انجام ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور اُن منافق مردوں اور عورتوں اور مشرک مردوں اور عورتوں کو سزا دے جو اللہ کے متعلق برے گمان رکھتے ہیں برائی کے پھیر میں وہ خود ہی آ گئے، اللہ کا غضب ان پر ہوا اور اس نے ان پر لعنت کی اور ان کے لیے جہنم مہیا کر دی جو بہت ہی برا ٹھکانا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور عذاب دے منافق مَردوں اور منافق عورتوں اور مشرک مَردوں اور مشرک عورتوں کو جو اللہ پر گمان رکھتے ہیں انہیں پر ہے بری گردش اور اللہ نے اُن پر غضب فرمایا اور انہیں لعنت کی اور ان کے لیے جہنم تیار فرمایا، اور وہ کیا ہی برا انجام ہے، - Ahmed Raza

اور تاکہ وہ (اللہ) منافق مَردوں اور منافق عورتوں، مشرک مَردوں اور مشرک عورتوں کو سزا دے جو اللہ کے بارے میں برے گمان کرتے ہیں برائی کی گردش انہی پر ہے اللہ ان پر غضبناک ہے اور ان پر لعنت کی ہے اور ان کیلئے جہنم تیار کر رکھی ہے اور وہ بہت برا انجام ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And for the One
جُنُودُ
are armies of
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
and the land;
ۚ
وَكَانَ
and has been
ٱللَّهُ
the One
عَزِيزًا
a reinforced
حَكِيمًا
judge.
And for the One are armies of the heavens and the land; and has been the One a reinforced judge.

Allah's are the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is ever Mighty, Wise. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We sent you

and a notifiier.
Indeed it is that We sent you as a witness, and good news bearer, and a notifiier.

Lo! We have sent thee (O Muhammad) as a witness and a bearer of good tidings and a warner, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

For you to have conviction
بِٱللَّهِ
regarding the One,
وَرَسُولِهِۦ
and His messenger,
وَتُعَزِّرُوهُ
and honour Him,
وَتُوَقِّرُوهُ
and revere Him,
وَتُسَبِّحُوهُ
and strive for Him
بُكْرَةًۭ
purely
وَأَصِيلًا
and primarily.

لِّتُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَتُعَزِّرُوهُ وَتُوَقِّرُوهُ وَتُسَبِّحُوهُ بُكْرَةًۭ وَأَصِيلًا For you to have conviction regarding the One, and His messenger, and honour Him, and revere Him, and strive for Him purely and primarily.

That ye (mankind) may believe in Allah and His messenger, and may honour Him, and may revere Him, and may glorify Him at early dawn and at the close of day. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Lo! those who swear allegiance unto thee (Muhammad), swear allegiance only unto Allah. The Hand of Allah is above their hands. So whosoever breaketh his oath, breaketh it only to his soul's hurt; while whosoever keepeth his covenant with Allah, on him will He bestow immense reward. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Indeed those who swear allegiance to you, swear allegiance only to Allah: the hand of Allah is above their hands. Then whosoever breaks his oath, breaks it only to his own detriment, and whoever fulfills the covenant he has made with Allah, He will give him a great reward. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Those who pledge obedience to you are, in fact, pledging obedience to God. The hands of God are above their hands. As for those who disregard their pledge, they do so only against their own souls. Those who fulfill their promise to God will receive a great reward. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Surely those who swear allegiance to you do but swear allegiance to Allah; the hand of Allah is above their hands. Therefore whoever breaks (his faith), he breaks it only to the injury of his own soul, and whoever fulfills what he has covenanted with Allah, He will grant him a mighty reward. - Shakir, Habib

Behold, all who pledge their allegiance to you indeed pledge their allegiance to God: the hand of God is over their hands. Hence, he who breaks his oath, breaks it only to his own loss. Whereas he who remains true to what he has pledged to God, shall have a great reward bestowed upon him by God. - Wahiduddin Khan

بیشک جو لوگ آپ کی بیعت کرتے ہیں وہ درحقیقت اللہ کی بیعت کرتے ہیں اور ان کے ہاتھوں کے اوپر اللہ ہی کا ہاتھ ہے اب اس کے بعد جو بیعت کو توڑ دیتا ہے وہ اپنے ہی خلاف اقدام کرتا ہے اور جو عہد الٰہٰی کو پورا کرتا ہے خدا عنقریب اسی کو اجر عظیم عطا کرے گا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اے نبیؐ، جو لوگ تم سے بیعت کر رہے تھے وہ دراصل اللہ سے بیعت کر رہے تھے ان کے ہاتھ پر اللہ کا ہاتھ تھا اب جو اس عہد کو توڑے گا اُس کی عہد شکنی کا وبال اس کی اپنی ہی ذات پر ہوگا، اور جو اُس عہد کو وفا کرے گا جو اس نے اللہ سے کیا ہے، اللہ عنقریب اس کو بڑا اجر عطا فرمائے گا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

وہ جو تمہاری بیعت کرتے ہیں وہ تو اللہ ہی سے بیعت کرتے ہیں ان کے ہاتھوں پر اللہ کا ہاتھ ہے، تو جس نے عہد توڑا اس نے اپنے بڑے عہد کو توڑا اور جس نے پورا کیا وہ عہد جو اس نے اللہ سے کیا تھا تو بہت جلد اللہ اسے بڑا ثواب دے گا - Ahmed Raza

Those of the wandering Arabs who were left behind will tell thee: Our possessions and our households occupied us, so ask forgiveness for us! They speak with their tongues that which is not in their hearts. Say: Who can avail you aught against Allah, if He intend you hurt or intend you profit? Nay, but Allah is ever Aware of what ye do. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

The Bedouins who had stayed back [from joining the Prophet in his [umrah journey to Makkah] will tell you, [Our possessions and families kept us occupied. So plead [to Allah] for our forgiveness!] They will say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say, [Whether He desires to cause you harm or desires to bring you benefit, who can be of any avail to you against Allah[]s will]? Indeed Allah is well aware of what you do.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

The bedouins who lag behind in taking part in the battle say to you, [Ask forgiveness for us; we were busy with our property and household.] They speak what is not in their hearts. (Muhammad), tell them, [Who will help you against God, if He intends to harm you, who will prevent Him from benefitting you? In fact, God is Well Aware of whatever you do]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Those of the dwellers of the desert who were left behind will say to you: Our property and our families kept us busy, so ask forgiveness for us. They say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say: Then who can control anything for you from Allah if He intends to do you harm or if He intends to do you good; nay, Allah is Aware of what you do: - Shakir, Habib

Those desert Arabs who remained behind will say to you, [Our belongings and our families kept us occupied, so ask forgiveness for us.] They will say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say, [Who then has any power at all [to intervene] on your behalf with God, if His will is to do you harm, or if He intends to do you good? Indeed, God is well aware of all that you do.] - Wahiduddin Khan

عنقریب یہ پیچھے رہ جانے والے گنوار آپ سے کہیں گے کہ ہمارے اموال اور اولاد نے مصروف کرلیا تھا لہٰذا آپ ہمارے حق میں استغفار کردیں. یہ اپنی زبان سے وہ کہہ رہے ہیں جو یقینا ان کے دل میں نہیں ہے تو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ اگر خدا تمہیں نقصان پہنچانا چاہے یا فائدہ ہی پہنچانا چاہے تو کون ہے جو اس کے مقابلہ میں تمہارے امور کا اختیار رکھتا ہے .حقیقت یہ ہے کہ اللہ تمہارے اعمال سے خوب باخبر ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اے نبیؐ، بدوی عربوں میں سے جو لوگ پیچھے چھوڑ دیے گئے تھے اب وہ آ کر ضرور تم سے کہیں گے کہ ——ہمیں اپنے اموال اور بال بچوں کی فکر نے مشغول کر رکھا تھا، آپ ہمارے لیے مغفرت کی دعا فرمائیں—— یہ لوگ اپنی زبانوں سے وہ باتیں کہتے ہیں جو ان کے دلوں میں نہیں ہوتیں ان سے کہنا ——اچھا، یہی بات ہے تو کون تمہارے معاملہ میں اللہ کے فیصلے کو روک دینے کا کچھ بھی اختیار رکھتا ہے اگر وہ تمہیں کوئی نقصان پہنچانا چاہے یا نفع بخشنا چاہے؟ تمہارے اعمال سے تو اللہ ہی باخبر ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اب تم سے کہیں گے جو گنوار (اعرابی) پیچھے رہ گئے تھے کہ ہمیں ہمارے مال اور ہمارے گھر والوں نے مشغول رکھا اب حضور ہماری مغفرت چاہیں اپنی زبانوں سے وہ بات کہتے ہیں جو ان کے دلوں میں نہیں تم فرماؤ تو اللہ کے سامنے کسے تمہارا کچھ اختیار ہے اگر وہ تمہارا برا چاہے یا تمہاری بھلائی کا ارادہ فرمائے، بلکہ اللہ کو تمہارے کاموں کی خبر ہے، - Ahmed Raza

صحرائی عربوں میں سے جو (سفرِ حدیبیہ میں) پیچھے چھوڑ دئیے گئے تھے وہ عنقریب کہیں گے کہ ہمارے مال اور اہل و عیال نے ہمیں مشغول رکھا (اس لئے آپ(ص) کے ہمراہ نہ جا سکے) تو آپ(ص) ہمارے لئے (خدا سے) بخشش کی دعا کیجئے! وہ اپنی زبانوں سے وہ بات کہتے ہیں جو ان کے دلوں میں نہیں ہے آپ(ص) کہیے! کون ہے جو اللہ کے مقابلے میں تمہارے لئے کچھ اختیار رکھتا ہے؟ اگر وہ تمہیں نقصان پہنچانا چاہے یانفع پہنچانا چاہے بلکہ تم جو کچھ کرتے ہو اللہ اس سے خوب باخبر ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Nay, but ye deemed that the messenger and the believers would never return to their own folk, and that was made fairseeming in your hearts, and ye did think an evil thought, and ye were worthless folk. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And whoever
لَّمْ
not
يُؤْمِنۢ
is convinced
بِٱللَّهِ
regarding the One
وَرَسُولِهِۦ
and His messenger
فَإِنَّآ
then in that case
أَعْتَدْنَا
We have prepared
لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ
for the deniers
سَعِيرًۭا
mental agitation.
And whoever not is convinced regarding the One and His messenger then in that case We have prepared for the deniers mental agitation.

And so for him who believeth not in Allah and His messenger - Lo! We have prepared a flame for disbelievers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Those who have no faith in Allah and His Apostle [should know that] We have prepared a blaze for the faithless. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Those who do not believe in God and His Messenger should know that We have prepared hell for the disbelievers. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And whoever does not believe in Allah and His Apostle, then surely We have prepared burning fire for the unbelievers. - Shakir, Habib

He has forgiveness
لِمَن
for whomever
يَشَآءُ
He desires
وَيُعَذِّبُ
and He punishes
مَن
whoever
يَشَآءُ
He desires,
ۚ
وَكَانَ
and has been
ٱللَّهُ
the One
غَفُورًۭا
forgiving,
رَّحِيمًۭا
merciful.

وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًۭا رَّحِيمًۭا And belongs to the One ownership of the atmospheres and the land; He has forgiveness for whomever He desires and He punishes whoever He desires, and has been the One forgiving, merciful.

And Allah's is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. He forgiveth whom He will, and punisheth whom He will. And Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Those who were left behind will say, when ye set forth to capture booty: Let us go with you. They fain would change the verdict of Allah. Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Ye shall not go with us. Thus hath Allah said beforehand. Then they will say: Ye are envious of us. Nay, but they understand not, save a little. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

[In the near future] when you will set out to capture booty, those who stayed behind [in this journey] will say, : [Let us follow you.] They desire to change the word of Allah. Say, [You will never follow us! Allah has said thus beforehand.] Then they will say, [You are envious of us.] Indeed, they do not understand but a little. - Qarai, Ali Quli

The laggardly Bedouins will say, [When you leave to collect the spoils, let us follow you.] They want to alter the command of God (that only the participating believers are entitled to such benefit). Tell them, [You can never follow us for such a purpose. God has said before and He will say again (what type of people you are). In fact, you are jealous of us.] The truth is that they understand very little. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Those who are left behind will say when you set forth for the gaining of acquisitions: Allow us (that) we may follow you. They desire to change the world of Allah. Say: By no means shall you follow us; thus did Allah say before. But they will say: Nay! you are jealous of us. Nay! they do not understand but a little. - Shakir, Habib

When you [believers] set off to gather the spoils, those that stayed behind will say, [Let us come with you.] They want to change God's word, but tell them, [You shall not follow us. عنقریب یہ پیچھے رہ جانے والے تم سے کہیں گے جب تم مال غنیمت لینے کے لئے جانے لگو گے کہ اجازت دو ہم بھی تمہارے ساتھ چلے چلیں یہ چاہتے ہیں کہ اللہ کے کلام کو تبدیل کر دیں تو تم کہہ دو کہ تم لو گ ہمارے ساتھ نہیں آسکتے ہو اللہ نے یہ بات پہلے سے طے کردی ہے پھر یہ کہیں گے کہ تم لوگ ہم سے حسد رکھتے ہو حالانکہ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ یہ لوگ بات کو بہت کم سمجھ پاتے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

جب تم مال غنیمت حاصل کرنے کے لیے جانے لگو گے تو یہ پیچھے چھوڑے جانے والے لوگ تم سے ضرور کہیں گے کہ ہمیں بھی اپنے ساتھ چلنے دو یہ چاہتے ہیں کہ اللہ کے فرمان کو بدل دیں اِن سے صاف کہہ دینا کہ ——تم ہرگز ہمارے ساتھ نہیں چل سکتے، اللہ پہلے ہی یہ فرما چکا ہے—— یہ کہیں گے کہ ——نہیں، بلکہ تم لوگ ہم سے حسد کر رہے ہو—— (حالانکہ بات حسد کی نہیں ہے) بلکہ یہ لوگ صحیح بات کو کم ہی سمجھتے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اب کہیں گے پیچھے بیٹھ رہنے والے جب تم غنیمتیں لینے چلو تو ہمیں بھی اپنے پیچھے آنے دو وہ چاہتے ہیں اللہ کا کلام بدل دیں تم فرماؤ ہرگز ہمارے ساتھ نہ آؤ اللہ نے پہلے سے یونہی فرمادیا تو اب کہیں گے بلکہ تم ہم سے جلتے ہو بلکہ وہ بات نہ سمجھتے تھے مگر تھوڑی - Ahmed Raza

جب تم (جنگِ خیبر میں) غنیمتیں حاصل کرنے کیلئے چلوگے تو جو پیچھے چھوڑ دئیے گئے وہ ضرور کہیں گے کہ ہمیں بھی اجازت دو کہ ہم آپ کے پیچھے آئیں وہ چاہتے ہیں کہ اللہ کی بات کو بدل دیں۔ آپ(ص) کہہ دیجئے! کہ تم اب کبھی ہمارے پیچھے نہیں آسکتے! اللہ پہلے ہی ایسی بات کہہ چکا ہے اس پر وہ ضرور کہیں گے کہ بلکہ تم ہم سے حسد کرتے ہو بلکہ یہ (کم عقل) بہت ہی کم بات سمجھتے ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
