إِن يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ وَيَأْتِ بِـَٔاخَرِينَ ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ قَدِيرًۭا [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

If He will, He can remove you, O people, and produce others (in your stead). Allah is Able to do that. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُونُوا۟ قَوَّٰمِينَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ شُهَدَآءَ لِلَّهِ وَلَوْ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَوِ ٱلْوَٰلِدَيْنِ وَٱلْأَقْرَبِينَ ۚ إِن يَكُنْ غَنِيًّا أَوْ فَقِيرًۭا فَٱللَّهُ أَوْلَىٰ بِهِمَا ۖ فَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ ٱلْهَوَىٰٓ أَن تَعْدِلُوا۟ ۚ وَإِن تَلْوُۥٓا۟ أَوْ تُعْرِضُوا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرًۭا [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

O ye who believe! Be ye staunch in justice, witnesses for Allah, even though it be against yourselves or (your) parents or (your) kindred, whether (the case be of) a rich man or a poor man, for Allah is nearer unto both (them ye are). So follow not passion lest ye lapse (from truth) and if ye lapse or fall away, then lo! Allah is ever Informed of what ye do. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

O you who have faith! Be maintainers of justice and witnesses for the sake of Allah, even if it should be against yourselves or [your] parents and near relatives, and whether it be [someone] rich or poor, for Allah has a greater right over them. So do not follow [your] desires, lest you should be unfair, and if you distort [the testimony] or disregard [it], Allah is indeed well aware of what you do. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Believers, be the supporters of justice and the testify to what you may have witnessed, for the sake of God, even against yourselves, parents, and relatives; whether it be against the rich or the poor. God must be given preference over them. Let not your desires cause you to commit injustice. If you deviate from the truth in your testimony, or decline to give your testimony at all, know that God is Well Aware of what you do. - Sarwar, Muhammad

O you who believe! be maintainers of justice, bearers of witness of Allah's sake, though it may be against your own selves or (your) parents or near relatives; if he be rich or poor, Allah is nearer to them both in compassion; therefore do not follow (your) low desires, lest you deviate; and if you swerve or turn aside, then surely Allah is aware of what you do. - Shakir, Habib

Believers, be strict in upholding justice and bear witness for the sake of God, even though it be against yourselves, your parents, or your kindred. Be they rich or poor, God knows better about them both. Do not, then, follow your own desires, lest you swerve from justice. If you conceal the truth or evade it, then remember that God is well aware of all that you do. - Wahiduddin Khan

اے ایمان والو! عدل و انصاف کے ساتھ قیام کرو اور اللہ کے لئے گواہ بنو چاہے اپنی ذات یا اپنے والدین اور اقربا ہی کے خلاف کیوں نہ ہو- جس کے لئے گواہی دینا ہے وہ غنی ہو یا فقیر اللہ دونوں کے لئے تم سے اولیٰ ہے لہذا خبردار خواہشات کا اتباع نہ کرنا تاکہ انصاف کرسکو اور اگر توڑ مروڑ سے کام لیا یا بالکل کنارہ کشی کرلی تو یاد رکھو کہ اللہ تمہارے اعمال سے خوب باخبر ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اے لوگو جو ایمان لائے ہو، انصاف کے علمبردار اور خدا واسطے کے گواہ بنو اگرچہ تمہارے انصاف اور تمہاری گواہی کی زد خود تمہاری اپنی ذات پر یا تمہارے والدین اور رشتہ داروں پر ہی کیوں نہ پڑتی ہو فریق معاملہ خواہ مالدار ہو یا غریب، اللہ تم سے زیادہ اُن کا خیر خواہ ہے لہٰذا اپنی خواہش نفس کی پیروی میں عدل سے باز نہ رہو اور اگر تم نے لگی لپٹی بات کہی یا سچائی سے پہلو بچایا تو جان رکھو کہ جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو اللہ کو اس کی خبر ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اے ایمان والو! انصاف پر خوب قائم ہوجاؤ اللہ کے لئے گواہی دیتے چاہے اس میں تمہارا اپنا نقصان ہو یا ماں باپ کا یا رشتہ داروں کا جس پر گواہی دو وہ غنی ہو یا فقیر ہو بہرحال اللہ کو اس کا سب سے زیادہ اختیار ہے تو خواہش کے پیچھے نہ جاؤ کہ حق سے الگ پڑو اگر تم ہیر پھیر کرو یا منہ پھیرو تو اللہ کو تمہارے کاموں کی خبر ہے - Ahmed Raza

اے ایمان والو! مضبوطی کے ساتھ انصاف کے علمبردار ہو جاؤ۔ اور محض اللہ کے لئے گواہی دینے والے بنو۔ خواہ تمہیں اپنے یا والدین کے اور اپنے قریبی رشتہ داروں کے خلاف ہی گواہی دینا پڑے۔ وہ (جس کے خلاف گواہی دی جا رہی ہے) چاہے امیر ہو چاہے فقیر ہو بہرحال اللہ ان دونوں کا تم سے زیادہ خیرخواہ ہے پس اس طرح خواہش نفس کی پیروی نہ کرو کہ حق سے ہٹ جاؤ۔ اور اگر تم نے ہیرپھیر کیا یا (حق سے) منہ موڑا تو بے شک جو کہ تم کرتے ہو اللہ اس سے باخبر ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
O you of
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
ءَامَنُوٓا۟
are convinced!
ءَامِنُوا۟
Be of firm conviction
بِٱللَّهِ
regarding the One,
وَرَسُولِهِۦ
and His messenger,
وَٱلْكِتَٰبِ
and the Book,
ٱلَّذِى
the one which
نَزَّلَ
has been sent down
عَلَىٰ
upon
رَسُولِهِۦ
His messenger,
وَٱلْكِتَٰبِ
and the Book
ٱلَّذِىٓ
the one which
أَنزَلَ
has been sent down
مِن
from
قَبْلُ
before;
ۚ
وَمَن
and whoever
يَكْفُرْ
denies
بِٱللَّهِ
about the One
وَمَلَٰٓئِكَتِهِۦ
and His malaikati,
وَكُتُبِهِۦ
and His books,
وَرُسُلِهِۦ
and His messengers,
وَٱلْيَوْمِ
and the day of
ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ
the forthcoming
فَقَدْ
then surely
ضَلَّ
has strayed
ضَلَٰلًۢا
in to darkness
بَعِيدًا
in deep.
٤
١٣٦
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ ءَامِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَٱلْكِتَٰبِ ٱلَّذِى نَزَّلَ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِۦ وَٱلْكِتَٰبِ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ مِن قَبْلُ ۚ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَلَٰٓئِكَتِهِۦ وَكُتُبِهِۦ وَرُسُلِهِۦ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلَٰلًۢا بَعِيدًا O you of the ones who are convinced! Be of firm conviction regarding the One, and His messenger, and the Book, the one which has been sent down upon His messenger, and the Book the one which has been sent down from before; and whoever denies about the One and His malaikati, and His books, and His messengers, and the day of the forthcoming then surely has strayed in to darkness in deep.

O ye who believe! Believe in Allah and His messenger and the Scripture which He hath revealed unto His messenger, and the Scripture which He revealed aforetime. Whoso disbelieveth in Allah and His angels and His scriptures and His messengers and the Last Day, he verily hath wandered far astray. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

O you who have faith! Have faith in Allah and His Apostle and the Book that He has sent down to His Apostle and the Book He had sent down earlier. Whoever disbelieves in Allah and His angels, His Books and His apostles and the Last Day, has certainly strayed into far error. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Believers, have faith in God and His Messenger, the Book which is revealed to him, and the Bible which has been revealed before. Whoever refuses to believe in God, His angels, Books, Messengers and the Day of Judgment, has gone far away from the right path. - Sarwar, Muhammad

O you who believe! believe in Allah and His Apostle and the Book which He has revealed to His Apostle and the Book which He revealed before; and whoever disbelieves in Allah and His angels and His apostles and the last day, he indeed strays off into a remote error. - Shakir, Habib

Believers, believe in God and His Messenger and in the Scripture He sent down to His Messenger, as well as what He sent down before. He who denies God, His angels, His Scriptures, His messengers and the Last Day has surely gone far astray. - Wahiduddin Khan

ایمان والو! اللہ ً رسول اور وہ کتاب جو رسول پر نازل ہوئی ہے اور وہ کتاب جو اس سے پہلے نازل ہوچکی ہے سب پر ایمان لے آؤ اور یاد رکھو کہ جو خدا, ملائکہ, کتب سماویہ, رسول اور روزِ قیامت کا انکار کرے گا وہ یقینا گمراہی میں بہت دور نکل گیا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اے لوگو جو ایمان لائے ہو، ایمان لاؤ اللہ پر اور اس کے رسول پر اور اس کتاب پر جو اللہ نے اپنے رسول پر نازل کی ہے اور ہر اُس کتاب پر جو اس سے پہلے وہ نازل کر چکا ہے جس نے اللہ اور اس کے ملائکہ اور اس کی کتابوں اور اس کے رسولوں اور روز آخرت سے کفر کیا وہ گمراہی میں بھٹک کر بہت دور نکل گیا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اے ایمان والو! اللہ پر، اس کے رسول(ص) پر اور اس کی کتاب پر ایمان لاؤ جو اس نے اپنے رسول(ص) پر نازل کی ہے۔ اور اس کتاب پر جو اس نے پہلے اتاری ہے اور جو کوئی اللہ کا، اس کے فرشتوں کا، اس کی کتابوں کا، اس کے رسولوں کا، اور آخرت کے دن کا انکار کرے۔ وہ گمراہ ہوا اور اس میں بہت دور نکل گیا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

of suffering.
Give good news to the hypocrites about that for them is a punishment of suffering.

the denying people
أَوْلِيَآءَ
as guardians

other than
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
the sure-ones,
ۚ
أَيَبْتَغُونَ
they seek to find
عِندَهُمُ
from them
ٱلْعِزَّةَ
the respectability
فَإِنَّ
then indeed
ٱلْعِزَّةَ
the respectability
لِلَّهِ
belongs to the One
جَمِيعًۭا
in entirety.

ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَّخِذُونَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۚ أَيَبْتَغُونَ عِندَهُمُ ٱلْعِزَّةَ فَإِنَّ ٱلْعِزَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًۭا The ones who take the denying people as guardians from other than the sure-ones, they seek to find from them the respectability then indeed the respectability belongs to the One in entirety.

Those who chose disbelievers for their friends instead of believers! Do they look for power at their hands? Lo! all power appertaineth to Allah. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

—those who take the faithless for allies instead of the faithful. Do they seek honour with them? [If so,] indeed all honour belongs to Allah. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Do those who establish friendship with the disbelievers instead of the believers seek honor? Let them know that all honor belongs to God. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Those who take the unbelievers for guardians rather than believers. Do they seek honor from them? Then surely all honor is for Allah. - Shakir, Habib

And surely
نَزَّلَ
has alighted
عَلَيْكُمْ
upon you
فِى
in
ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
the Book,
أَنْ
that
إِذَا
whenever
سَمِعْتُمْ
you hear
ءَايَٰتِ
signs of
ٱللَّهِ
the One
يُكْفَرُ
being denied
بِهَا
by them,
وَيُسْتَهْزَأُ
or being mocked
بِهَا
by them,
فَلَا
then do not
تَقْعُدُوا۟
sit
مَعَهُمْ
along with them
حَتَّىٰ
until
يَخُوضُوا۟
they engage
فِى
in
حَدِيثٍ
a narrative
غَيْرِهِۦٓ
different from it;
ۚ
إِنَّكُمْ
(otherwise) certainly you
إِذًۭا
then will be
مِّثْلُهُمْ
as like them.
ۗ
إِنَّ
Surely
ٱللَّهَ
the One is
جَامِعُ
going to include
ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ
the hypocrites
وَٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
and the deniers
فِى
in
جَهَنَّمَ
hell
جَمِيعًا
altogether.
٤
١٤٠
وَقَدْ نَزَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ أَنْ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ يُكْفَرُ بِهَا وَيُسْتَهْزَأُ بِهَا فَلَا تَقْعُدُوا۟ مَعَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَخُوضُوا۟ فِى حَدِيثٍ غَيْرِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّكُمْ إِذًۭا مِّثْلُهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ جَامِعُ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ وَٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ فِى جَهَنَّمَ جَمِيعًا And surely has alighted upon you in the Book, that whenever you hear signs of the One being denied by them, or being mocked by them, then do not sit along with them until they engage in a narrative different from it; (otherwise) certainly you then will be as like them. Surely the One is going to include the hypocrites and the deniers in hell altogether.

He hath already revealed unto you in the Scripture that, when ye hear the revelations of Allah rejected and derided, (ye) sit not with them (who disbelieve and mock) until they engage in some other conversation. Lo! in that case (if ye stayed) ye would be like unto them. Lo! Allah will gather hypocrites and disbelievers, all together, into hell; - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Certainly He has sent down to you in the Book that when you hear Allah]s signs being disbelieved and derided, do not sit with them until they engage in some other discourse, or else you [too] will be like them. Indeed Allah will gather the hypocrites and the faithless in hell all together - Qarai, Ali Quli

God has told you (believers) in the Book that when you hear people disbelieving and mocking God's revelations, do not sit with them unless they change the subject. You will become like them. God will gather all the hypocrites and the disbelievers together in hell fire. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And indeed He has revealed to you in the Book that when you hear Allah's communications disbelieved in and mocked at do not sit with them until they enter into some other discourse; surely then you would be like them; surely Allah will gather together the hypocrites and the unbelievers all in hell. - Shakir, Habib

He has instructed you in the Book that, when you hear people deny or ridicule God's revelations, you must not sit with them unless they engage in other talk, or else you yourselves shall become like them. God will gather all the hypocrites and those who deny the truth together in Hell. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور اس نے کتاب میں یہ بات نازل کردی ہے کہ جب آیااُ الٰہی کے بارے میں یہ سنو کہ ان کا انکار اور استہزائ ہورہا ہے تو خبردار ان کے ساتھ ہرگز نہ بیٹھنا جب تک وہ دوسری باتوں میں مصروف نہ ہوجائیں ورنہ تم ان ہی کے مثل ہوجاؤ گے خدا کفار اور منافقین سب کو جہّنم میں ایک ساتھ اکٹھا کرنے والا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اللہ اِس کتاب میں تم کو پہلے ہی حکم دے چکا ہے کہ جہاں تم سنو کہ اللہ کی آیات کے خلاف کفر بکا جا رہا ہے اور ا ن کا مذاق اڑایا جا رہا ہے وہاں نہ بیٹھو جب تک کہ لوگ کسی دوسری بات میں نہ لگ جائیں اب اگر تم ایسا کرتے ہو تو تم بھی انہی کی طرح ہو یقین جانو کہ اللہ منافقوں اور کافروں کو جہنم میں ایک جگہ جمع کرنے والا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور بیشک اللہ تم پر کتاب میں اتار چکا کہ جب تم اللہ کی آیتوں کو سنو کہ ان کا انکار کیا جاتا اور ان کی ہنسی بنائی جاتی ہے تو ان لوگوں کے ساتھ نہ بیٹھو جب تک وہ اور بات میں مشغول نہ ہوں ورنہ تم بھی انہیں جیسے ہو بیشک اللہ منافقوں اور کافروں سب کو جہنم میں اکٹھا کرے گا - Ahmed Raza

اور اس نے کتاب (قرآن) میں تم پر یہ حکم نازل کیا ہے کہ جب سنو کہ (کسی جگہ) آیات الٰہیہ کا انکار کیا جا رہا ہے اور ان کا مذاق اڑایا جا رہا ہے۔ تو ایسے لوگوں کے ساتھ مت بیٹھو۔ جب تک وہ کسی اور بات میں مشغول نہ ہو جائیں (ورنہ) اس حالت میں تم بھی انہی جیسے ہو جاؤگے۔ بے شک خدا سب منافقوں اور سب کافروں کو دوزخ میں اکھٹا کرنے والا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Those who wait upon occasion in regard to you and, if a victory cometh unto you from Allah, say: Are we not with you? and if the disbelievers meet with a success say: Had we not the mastery of you, and did we not protect you from the believers? - Allah will judge between you at the Day of Resurrection, and Allah will not give the disbelievers any way (of success) against the believers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

—those who lie in wait for you: if there is a victory for you from Allah, they say, [Were we not with you?] But if the faithless get a share [of victory], they say, [Did we not prevail upon you and defend you against the faithful?] Allah will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection, and Allah will never provide the faithless any way [to prevail] over the faithful. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(The hypocrites) wait and watch. If God grants you victory, they say, [Did we not help you?] If the unbelievers are victorious, they say, [Did we not encourage you not to surrender to the believers and did we not protect you from them?] God will judge among you on the Day of Judgment. Those who wait for (some misfortune to befall) you then If you have a victory from Allah they say: Were we not with you? And if there is a chance for the unbelievers, they say: Did we not acquire the mastery over you and defend you from the believers? یہ منافق تمہارے معاملہ میں انتظار کر رہے ہیں (کہ اونٹ کس کروٹ بیٹھتا ہے) اگر اللہ کی طرف سے فتح تمہاری ہوئی تو آ کر کہیں گے کہ کیا ہم تمہارے ساتھ نہ تھے؟ ا گر کافروں کا پلہ بھاری رہا تو اُن سے کہیں گے کہ کیا ہم تمہارے خلاف لڑنے پر قادر نہ تھے اور پھر بھی ہم نے تم کو مسلمانوں سے بچایا؟ بس اللہ ہی تمہارے اور ان کے معاملہ کا فیصلہ قیامت کے روز کرے گا اور (اس فیصلہ میں) اللہ نے کافروں کے لیے مسلمانوں پر غالب آنے کی ہرگز کوئی سبیل نہیں رکھی ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

Lo! the hypocrites seek to beguile Allah, but it is He Who beguileth them. When they stand up to worship they perform it languidly and to be seen of men, and are mindful of Allah but little; - Pickthall, Marmaduke
