And whoso opposeth the messenger after the guidance (of Allah) hath been manifested unto him, and followeth other than the believer's way, We appoint for him that unto which he himself hath turned, and expose him unto hell - a hapless journey's end! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Whoever defies the Apostle, after the guidance has become manifest to him, and follows a way other than that of the faithful, We shall abandon him to his devices and We shall make him enter hell, and it is an evil destination. - Qarai, Ali Quli

مگر جو شخص رسول کی مخالفت پر کمر بستہ ہو اور اہل ایمان کی روش کے سوا کسی اور روش پر چلے، درآں حالیکہ اس پر راہ راست واضح ہو چکی ہو، تو اُس کو ہم اُسی طرف چلائیں گے جدھر وہ خود پھر گیا اور اسے جہنم میں جھونکیں گے جو بد ترین جائے قرار ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جو رسول کا خلاف کرے بعد اس کے کہ حق راستہ اس پر کھل چکا اور مسلمانوں کی راہ سے جدا راہ چلے ہم اُسے اُس کے حال پر چھوڑ دیں گے اور اسے دوزخ میں داخل کریں گے اور کیا ہی بری جگہ پلٹنے کی - Ahmed Raza

deceivingly

afar.

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَن يُشْرَكَ بِهِۦ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَمَن يُشْرِكْ بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلَٰلًۢا بَعِيدًا Certainly the One not forgives that they add authorities with Him, and may forgive what is lower than that for whom He desires; and whoever added authorities with Him thus certainly has astrayed deceivingly afar.

Lo! Allah pardoneth not that partners should be ascribed unto Him. He pardoneth all save that to whom He will. Whoso ascribeth partners unto Allah hath wandered far astray. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Indeed Allah does not forgive that any partner should be ascribed to Him, but He forgives anything besides that to whomever He wishes. And whoever ascribes partners to Allah has certainly strayed into far error. - Qarai, Ali Quli

God will not forgive the sin of considering something equal to Him, but He may forgive the other sins of whomever He wants. One who considers anything equal to God has certainly gone far away from the right path. - Sarwar, Muhammad

وَلَأُضِلَّنَّهُمْ وَلَأُمَنِّيَنَّهُمْ وَلَـَٔامُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُبَتِّكُنَّ ءَاذَانَ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ وَلَـَٔامُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُغَيِّرُنَّ خَلْقَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَمَن يَتَّخِذِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ وَلِيًّۭا مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَقَدْ خَسِرَ خُسْرَانًۭا مُّبِينًۭا [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And surely I will lead them astray, and surely I will arouse desires in them, and surely I will command them and they will cut the cattle' ears, and surely I will command them and they will change Allah's creation. Whoso chooseth Satan for a patron instead of Allah is verily a loser and his loss is manifest. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

and I will lead them astray and give them [false] hopes, and prompt them to slit the ears of cattle, and I will prompt them to alter Allah]s creation.] Whoever takes Satan as a guardian instead of Allah has certainly incurred a manifest loss. - Qarai, Ali Quli

I will lead them astray, induce in their hearts prolonged, worldly desires, command them to pierce the ears of their animals, sacrificed for the idols, and order them to change the religion of God.] One who accepts Satan as his guardian, instead of God, has certainly incurred a great loss upon himself. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And most certainly I will lead them astray and excite in them vain desires, and bid them so that they shall slit the ears of the cattle, and most certainly I will bid them so that they shall alter Allah's creation; and whoever takes the Shaitan for a guardian rather than Allah he indeed shall suffer a manifest loss. - Shakir, Habib

قسم ہے میں ضرور بہکادوں گا اور ضرور انہیں آرزوئیں دلاؤں گا اور ضرور انہیں کہوں گا کہ وہ چوپایوں کے کان چیریں گے اور ضرور انہیں کہوں گا کہ وہ اللہ کی پیدا کی ہوئی چیزیں بدل دیں گے، اور جو اللہ کو چھوڑ کر شیطان کو دوست بنائے وہ صریح ٹوٹے میں پڑا - Ahmed Raza

And the ones who

سَنُدْخِلُهُمْ
We will enter them in
جَنَّٰتٍۢ
gardens,
تَجْرِى
flowing
مِن
from
تَحْتِهَا
under them
ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ
the rivers,
خَٰلِدِينَ
they will be living
فِيهَآ
in them
أَبَدًۭا
forever
ۖ
وَعْدَ
— promise of
ٱللَّهِ
the One
حَقًّۭا
truthfully —
ۚ
وَمَنْ
and who is
أَصْدَقُ
more truthful
مِنَ
than
ٱللَّهِ
the One
قِيلًۭا
at declaring (a promise)?

١٢٢
وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ سَنُدْخِلُهُمْ جَنَّٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًۭا ۖ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقًّۭا ۚ وَمَنْ أَصْدَقُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ قِيلًۭا And the ones who are of firm conviction, and did the constructive things We will enter them in gardens, flowing from under them the rivers, they will be living in them forever — promise of the One truthfully — and who is more truthful than the One at declaring (a promise)?

But as for those who believe and do good works We shall bring them into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide for ever. It is a promise from Allah in truth; and who can be more truthful than Allah in utterance? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

But those who have faith and do righteous deeds, We will admit them into gardens with streams running in them, to remain in them forever—a true promise of Allah, and who is truer in speech than Allah? - Qarai, Ali Quli

We will admit the righteously striving believers to Paradise wherein streams flow and they will live therein forever. God's promise is true for no one is more truthful than Him. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And (as for) those who believe and do good, We will make them enter into gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide therein for ever; (it is) a promise of Allah, true (indeed), and who is truer of word than Allah? - Shakir, Habib

It will not be in accordance with your desires, nor the desires of the People of the Scripture. He who doeth wrong will have the recompense thereof, and will not find against Allah any protecting friend or helper. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

It will be neither after your hopes nor the hopes of the People of the Book: whoever commits evil shall be requited for it, and he will not find for himself any guardian or helper besides Allah. - Qarai, Ali Quli

انجام کار نہ تمہاری آرزوؤں پر موقوف ہے نہ اہل کتاب کی آرزوؤں پر جو بھی برائی کرے گا اس کا پھل پائے گا اور اللہ کے مقابلہ میں اپنے لیے کوئی حامی و مدد گار نہ پاسکے گا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

And whoso doeth good works, whether of male or female, and he (or she) is a believer, such will enter paradise and they will not be wronged the dint in a date-stone. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And whoever does righteous deeds, whether male or female, should he be faithful—such shall enter paradise and they will not be wronged [so much as] the speck on a date-stone. - Qarai, Ali Quli

while being
مُحْسِنٌۭ
a good-doer,
وَٱتَّبَعَ
and is a follower of
مِلَّةَ
creed of
إِبْرَٰهِيمَ
Ibrahim
حَنِيفًۭا
being non-religious?
ۗ
وَٱتَّخَذَ
And took
ٱللَّهُ
the One,
إِبْرَٰهِيمَ
Ibrahim
خَلِيلًۭا
as a friend.
٤
١٢٥
وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ دِينًۭا مِّمَّنْ أَسْلَمَ وَجْهَهُۥ لِلَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٌۭ وَٱتَّبَعَ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ حَنِيفًۭا ۗ وَٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ خَلِيلًۭا And who is more appealing in obedience than who submits his targets for the One while being a good-doer, and is a follower of creed of Ibrahim being non-religious? And took the One, Ibrahim as a friend.

Who is better in religion than he who surrendereth his purpose to Allah while doing good (to men) and followeth the tradition of Abraham, the upright? Allah (Himself) chose Abraham for friend. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Who has a better religion than him who submits his will to Allah, being virtuous, and follows the creed of Abraham, a Hanif? And Allah took Abraham for a dedicated friend. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Whose religion is better than that in which one submits himself to God, behaves righteously, and follows the upright religion of Abraham, God's chosen friend? - Sarwar, Muhammad

And who has a better religion than he who submits himself entirely to Allah? And he is the doer of good (to others) and follows the faith of Ibrahim, the upright one, and Allah took Ibrahim as a friend. - Shakir, Habib

Who is better in faith than one who submits himself wholly to God, acts righteously, and follows the religion of Abraham, the upright in faith, whom God chose for a friend? - Wahiduddin Khan

اور اس سے اچھا دیندار کون ہوسکتا ہے جو اپنا رخ خد اکی طرف رکھے اور نیک کردار بھی ہو اور ملّت ابراہیم علیھ السّلام کا اتباع کرے جو باطل سے کترانے والے تھے اور اللہ نے ابراہیم علیھ السّلام کو اپنا خلیل اور دوست بنایا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اُس شخص سے بہتر اور کس کا طریق زندگی ہوسکتا ہے جس نے اللہ کے آگے سر تسلیم خم کر دیا اور اپنا رویہ نیک رکھا اور یکسو ہو کر ابراہیمؑ کے طریقے کی پیروی کی، اُس ابراہیمؑ کے طریقے کی جسے اللہ نے اپنا دوست بنا لیا تھا - Maududi, Abul A'ala
