وَمَن
And whoever is
يَهْدِ
guided by
ٱللَّهُ
the One
فَمَا
then not
لَهُۥ
for him is
مِن
of
مُّضِلٍّ
misguider.
ۗ
أَلَيْسَ
Is not that
ٱللَّهُ
the One is
بِعَزِيزٍۢ
with great power
ذِى
possessing
ٱنتِقَامٍۢ
vengeance?
And whoever is guided by the One then not for him is of misguider. Is not that the One is with great power possessing vengeance?
⦿
And he whom Allah guideth, for him there can be no misleader. Is not Allah Mighty, Able to Requite (the wrong)? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Who can mislead one whom God has guided? Is God not Majestic and Revengeful? - Sarwar, Muhammad

وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُ ۚ قُلْ أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ إِنْ أَرَادَنِىَ ٱللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ هَلْ هُنَّ كَٰشِفَٰتُ ضُرِّهِۦٓ أَوْ أَرَادَنِى بِرَحْمَةٍ هَلْ هُنَّ مُمْسِكَٰتُ رَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚ قُلْ حَسْبِىَ ٱللَّهُ ۖ عَلَيْهِ يَتَوَكَّلُ ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And verily, if thou shouldst ask them: Who created the heavens and the earth? they will say: Allah. Say: Bethink you then of those ye worship beside Allah, if Allah willed some hurt for me, could they remove from me His hurt; or if He willed some mercy for me, could they restrain His mercy? Say: Allah is my all. In Him do (all) the trusting put their trust. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

If you ask them, [Who created the heavens and the earth?] they will surely say, [Allah.] Say, [Have you considered what you invoke besides Allah? Should Allah desire some distress for me, can they remove the distress visited by Him? Or should He desire some mercy for me, can they withhold His mercy?] Say, [Allah is sufficient for me. In Him let all the trusting put their trust.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

If you ask them, [Who has created the heavens and the earth?] They will certainly say, [God has created them.] Ask them, [Do you think that you can rescue me from the punishment of God with which He may afflict me? Can you prevent His mercy if He wants to grant it to me?] Say, [God is Sufficient (support) for me. In Him alone one must trust]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And should you ask them, Who created the heavens and the earth? They would most certainly say: Allah. Say: Have you then considered that what you call upon besides Allah, would they, if Allah desire to afflict me with harm, be the removers of His harm, or (would they), if Allah desire to show me mercy, be the withholders of His mercy? Say: Allah is sufficient for me; on Him do the reliant rely. - Shakir, Habib

If you ask them who created the heavens and the earth, they will surely reply, [God.] Say, [Consider those you invoke besides Him: if God wished to harm me, could they undo that harm? Or if God wished to show me mercy, could they withhold that mercy?] Say, [God is sufficient for me. In Him let the faithful put their trust.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور اگر آپ ان سے سوال کریں گے کہ زمین و آسمان کو کس نے پیدا کیا ہے تو کہیں گے کہ اللہ ...._ تو کہہ دیجئے کہ کیا تم نے ان سب کا حال دیکھا ہے جن کی عبادت کرتے ہو کہ اگر خدا نقصان پہنچانے کا ارادہ کرلے تو کیا یہ اس نقصان کو روک سکتے ہیں یا اگر وہ رحمت کا ارادہ کرلے تو کیا یہ اس رحمت کو منع کرسکتے ہیں - آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ میرے لئے میرا خدا کافی ہے اور بھروسہ کرنے والے اسی پر بھروسہ کرتے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اِن لوگوں سے اگر تم پوچھو کہ زمین اور آسمانوں کو کس نے پیدا کیا ہے تو یہ خود کہیں گے کہ اللہ نے اِن سے کہو، جب حقیقت یہ ہے تو تمہارا کیا خیال ہے کہ اگر اللہ مجھے کوئی نقصان پہنچانا چاہے تو کیا تمہاری یہ دیویاں، جنہیں تم اللہ کو چھوڑ کر پکارتے ہو، مجھے اُس کے پہنچائے ہوئے نقصان سے بچا لیں گی؟ یا اللہ مجھ پر مہربانی کرنا چاہے تو کیا یہ اس کی رحمت کو روک سکیں گی؟ بس ان سے کہہ دو کہ میرے لیے اللہ ہی کافی ہے، بھروسہ کرنے والے اُسی پر بھروسہ کرتے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اگر تم ان سے پوچھو آسمان اور زمین کس نے بنائے تو ضرور کہیں گے اللہ نے تم فرماؤ بھلا بتاؤ تو وہ جنہیں تم اللہ کے سوا پوجتے ہو اگر اللہ مجھے کوئی تکلیف پہنچانا چاہے تو کیا وہ اس کی بھیجی تکلیف ٹال دیں گے یا وہ مجھ پر مہر (رحم) فرمانا چاہے تو کیا وہ اس کی مہر کو روک رکھیں گے تم فرماؤ اللہ مجھے بس ہے بھروسے والے اس پر بھروسہ کریں، - Ahmed Raza

Lo! We have revealed unto thee (Muhammad) the Scripture for mankind with truth. Then whosoever goeth right it is for his soul, and whosoever strayeth, strayeth only to its hurt. And thou art not a warder over them. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Indeed We have sent down the Book to you with the truth for [the deliverance of] mankind. So whoever is guided is guided for his own sake, and whoever goes astray, goes astray to his own detriment, and it is not your duty to watch over them. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), We have revealed the Book to you for mankind in all truth. Whoever seeks guidance does so for his own good. Whosoever goes astray goes against his own soul. You are not their representative. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Surely We have revealed to you the Book with the truth for the sake of men; so whoever follows the right way, it is for his own soul and whoever errs, he errs only to its detriment; and you are not a custodian over them. - Shakir, Habib

[O Prophet!] We have sent down to you the Book for mankind with the truth. Then whoever adopts the right way, will do so for his own soul, and whoever goes astray, injures his own soul. You are not their custodian. - Wahiduddin Khan

Allah receiveth (men's) souls at the time of their death, and that (soul) which dieth not (yet) in its sleep. He keepeth that (soul) for which He hath ordained death and dismisseth the rest till an appointed term. Lo! herein verily are portents for people who take thought. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Allah takes the souls at the time of their death, and those who have not died, in their sleep. Then He retains those for whom He has ordained death and releases the others until a specified time. There are indeed signs in that for a people who reflect. - Qarai, Ali Quli

God will receive their souls when they die. Their souls do not die when they are sleeping. During people's sleep He withholds those souls which He has decreed to die and releases the others for an appointed time. In this there is evidence (of the Truth) for the thoughtful people. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Allah takes the souls at the time of their death, and those that die not during their sleep; then He withholds those on whom He has passed the decree of death and sends the others back till an appointed term; most surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect. - Shakir, Habib

اللہ ہی ہے جو روحوں کو موت کے وقت اپنی طرف بلالیتا ہے اور جو نہیں مرتے ہیں ان کی روحوں کو بھی نیند کے وقت طلب کرلیتا ہے اور پھر جس کی موت کا فیصلہ کرلیتا ہے اس کی روح کو روک لیتا ہے اور دوسری روحوں کو ایک مقررہ مدّت کے لئے آزاد کردیتا ہے - اس بات میں صاحبان هفکر و نظر کے لئے بہت سی نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

وہ اللہ ہی ہے جو موت کے وقت روحیں قبض کرتا ہے اور جو ابھی نہیں مرا ہے اُس کی روح نیند میں قبض کر لیتا ہے، پھر جس پر وہ موت کا فیصلہ نافذ کرتا ہے اُسے روک لیتا ہے اور دوسروں کی روحیں ایک وقت مقرر کے لیے واپس بھیج دیتا ہے اِس میں بڑی نشانیاں ہیں اُن لوگوں کے لیے جو غور و فکر کرنے والے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

not
يَمْلِكُونَ
possessors of

a thing,
وَلَا
and were not
يَعْقِلُونَ
those who use their intelligence?]

أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ شُفَعَآءَ ۚ قُلْ أَوَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ Or is that they take from inferior to the One mediators? Say, [Even if they were not possessors of a thing, and were not those who use their intelligence?]

Or choose they intercessors other than Allah? Say: What! Even though they have power over nothing and have no intelligence? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

کیا ان لوگوں نے خدا کو چھوڑ کر سفارش کرنے والے اختیار کرلئے ہیں تو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ ایسا کیوں ہے چاہے یہ لوگ کوئی اختیار نہ رکھتے ہوں اور کسی طرح کی بھی عقل نہ رکھتے ہوں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

کیا اُس خدا کو چھوڑ کر اِن لوگوں نے دوسروں کو شفیع بنا رکھا ہے؟ ان سے کہو، کیا وہ شفاعت کریں گے خواہ اُن کے اختیار میں کچھ نہ ہو اور وہ سمجھتے بھی نہ ہوں؟ - Maududi, Abul A'ala

Say,
لِّلَّهِ
[Belongs to the One
ٱلشَّفَٰعَةُ
the mediation
جَمِيعًۭا
altogether;
ۖ
لَّهُۥ
belong to Him
مُلْكُ
ownerships of
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the atmospheres
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
and the matter,
ۖ
ثُمَّ
then after,
إِلَيْهِ
to Him
تُرْجَعُونَ
you will return.]

٤٤
قُل لِّلَّهِ ٱلشَّفَٰعَةُ جَمِيعًۭا ۖ لَّهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ Say, [Belongs to the One the mediation altogether; belong to Him ownerships of the atmospheres and the matter, then after, to Him you will return.]

Say: Unto Allah belongeth all intercession. His is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. And afterward unto Him ye will be brought back. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Say, [All intercession rests with Allah. To Him belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; then you will be brought back to Him.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Say, [Intercession belongs to God. To Him belongs the heavens and the earth and to Him you will all return.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

Say: Allah's is the intercession altogether; His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, then to Him you shall be brought back. - Shakir, Habib

کہہ دیجئے کہ شفاعت کا تمام تراختیار اللہ کے ہاتھوں میں ہے اسی کے پاس زمین و آسمان کا سارا اقتدار ہے اور اس کے بعد تم بھی اسی کی بارگاہ میں پلٹائے جاؤ گے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

کہو، شفاعت ساری کی ساری اللہ کے اختیار میں ہے آسمانوں اور زمین کی بادشاہی کا وہی مالک ہے پھر اُسی کی طرف تم پلٹائے جانے والے ہو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تم فرماؤ شفاعت تو سب اللہ کے ہاتھ میں ہے اسی کے لیے ہے آسمانوں اور زمین کی بادشاہی، پھر تمہیں اسی کی طرف پلٹنا ہے - Ahmed Raza

وَإِذَا
And whenever
ذُكِرَ
is mentioned
ٱللَّهُ
the One
وَحْدَهُ
as alone,
ٱشْمَأَزَّتْ
disgusted are
قُلُوبُ
hearts of
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
لَا
not
يُؤْمِنُونَ
are convinced
بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
about the forthcoming;
ۖ
وَإِذَا
and whenever
ذُكِرَ
are mentioned
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who are
مِن
of
دُونِهِۦٓ
inferior to Him,
إِذَا
that is when
هُمْ
they are
يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ
absolutely joyous.
٣٩
٤٥
وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ ٱللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ ٱشْمَأَزَّتْ قُلُوبُ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۖ وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ إِذَا هُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ And whenever is mentioned the One as alone, disgusted are hearts of the ones who not are convinced about the forthcoming; and whenever are mentioned the ones who are of inferior to Him, that is when they are absolutely joyous.

And when Allah alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who believe not in the Hereafter are repelled, and when those (whom they worship) beside Him are mentioned, behold! they are glad. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When Allah is mentioned alone, [thereat] shrink away the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter, but when others are mentioned besides Him, behold, they rejoice! - Qarai, Ali Quli

When one God is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Day of Judgment begin to shrink, but when the idols are mentioned, they rejoice. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when Allah alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the hereafter shrink, and when those besides Him are mentioned, lo! they are joyful. - Shakir, Habib

When God alone is named, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter shrink with aversion, but when others are named instead of Him, they are filled with joy. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جب ان کے سامنے خدائے یکتا کا ذکر آتا ہے تو جن کا ایمان آخرت پر نہیں ہے ان کے دل متنفر ہوجاتے ہیں اور جب اس کے علاوہ کسی اور کا ذکر آتا ہے تو خوش ہوجاتے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور جب ایک اللہ کا ذکر کیا جاتا ہے دل سمٹ جاتے ہیں ان کے جو آخرت پر ایمان نہیں لاتے اور جب اس کے سوا اوروں کا ذکر ہوتا ہے جبھی وہ خوشیاں مناتے ہیں، - Ahmed Raza

Say: O Allah! Creator of the heavens and the earth! Knower of the Invisible and the Visible! Thou wilt judge between Thy slaves concerning that wherein they used to differ. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Say, [O Allah! Originator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the sensible and the Unseen, You will judge between Your servants concerning that about which they used to differ.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

And though those who do wrong possess all that is in the earth, and therewith as much again, they verily will seek to ransom themselves therewith on the Day of Resurrection from the awful doom; and there will appear unto them, from their Lord, that wherewith they never reckoned. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Even if the wrongdoers possessed all that is on the earth, and as much of it besides, they would offer it on the Day of Resurrection to redeem themselves with it from a terrible punishment, and there will appear to them from Allah what they had never reckoned. - Qarai, Ali Quli
