١٦
لَهُم مِّن فَوْقِهِمْ ظُلَلٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ وَمِن تَحْتِهِمْ ظُلَلٌۭ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ يُخَوِّفُ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦ عِبَادَهُۥ ۚ يَٰعِبَادِ فَٱتَّقُونِ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

They have an awning of fire above them and beneath them a dais (of fire). With this doth Allah appal His bondmen. O My bondmen, therefor fear Me! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

There will be canopies of fire above them, and [similar] canopies beneath them. With that Allah deters His servants. So, My servants, be wary of Me! - Qarai, Ali Quli

Above and below them their will be shadows of fire. This is how God frightens His servants. My servants have fear of Me. - Sarwar, Muhammad

They shall have coverings of fire above them and coverings beneath them; with that Allah makes His servants to fear, so be careful of (your duty to) Me, O My servants! - Shakir, Habib

وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱجْتَنَبُوا۟ ٱلطَّٰغُوتَ أَن يَعْبُدُوهَا وَأَنَابُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ لَهُمُ ٱلْبُشْرَىٰ ۚ فَبَشِّرْ عِبَادِ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]
⦿
And those who put away false gods lest they should worship them and turn to Allah in repentance, for them there are glad tidings. Therefor give good tidings (O Muhammad) to My bondmen - Pickthall, Marmaduke

As for those who stay clear of the worship of fake deities and turn penitently to Allah, there is good news for them. So give good news to My servants - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
Those who have avoided worshipping idols and have turned in repentance to God will receive the glad news. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And (as for) those who keep off from the worship of the idols and turn to Allah, they shall have good news, therefore give good news to My servants, - Shakir, Habib

There is good news for those who shun the worship of false deities and turn to God, so give good news to My servants, - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جن لوگوں نے ظالموں سے علیحدگی اختیار کی کہ ان کی عبادت کریں اور خدا کی طرف متوجہ ہوگئے ان کے لئے ہماری طرف سے بشارت ہے لہذا پیغمبر آپ میرے بندوں کو بشارت دے دیجئے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

بخلاف اس کے جن لوگوں نے طاغوت کی بندگی سے اجتناب کیا اور اللہ کی طرف رجوع کر لیا اُن کے لیے خوشخبری ہے پس (اے نبیؐ) بشارت دے دو میرے اُن بندوں کو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور وہ جو بتوں کی پوجا سے بچے اور اللہ کی طرف رجوع ہوئے انہیں کے لیے خوشخبری ہے تو خوشی سناؤ میرے ان بندوں کو، - Ahmed Raza

ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْتَمِعُونَ ٱلْقَوْلَ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ أَحْسَنَهُۥٓ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَدَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ۖ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمْ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]
⦿
Who hear advice and follow the best thereof. Such are those whom Allah guideth, and such are men of understanding. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

who listen to the word [of Allah] and follow the best [interpretation] of it. They are the ones whom Allah has guided, and it is they who possess intellect. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), give the glad news to those of Our servants who listen to the words and only follow the best ones. Tell them that they are those whom God has guided. They are the people of understanding. - Sarwar, Muhammad

لَٰكِنِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوْا۟ رَبَّهُمْ لَهُمْ غُرَفٌۭ مِّن فَوْقِهَا غُرَفٌۭ مَّبْنِيَّةٌۭ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ ۖ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ لَا يُخْلِفُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمِيعَادَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]
⦿
But those who keep their duty to their Lord, for them are lofty halls with lofty halls above them, built (for them), beneath which rivers flow. (It is) a promise of Allah. Allah faileth not His promise. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
But as for those who are wary of their Lord, for them there will be lofty abodes with [other] lofty abodes built above them, with streams running beneath them—a promise of Allah. Allah does not break His promise. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
Those who have fear of their Lord will have lofty mansions built upon mansions beneath which streams flow. It is the promise of God. God does not disregard His promise. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
But (as for) those who are careful of (their duty to) their Lord, they shall have high places, above them higher places, built (for them), beneath which flow rivers; (this is) the promise of Allah: Allah will not fail in (His) promise. - Shakir, Habib

But for those who truly feared their Lord, there will be tall mansions, built up storey upon storey, beneath which there will be rivers flowing. This is God's promise: God never fails in His promise. - Wahiduddin Khan

البتہ جن لوگوں نے اپنے پروردگار کا خوف پیدا کیا ان کے لئے جنّت کے غرفے ہیں اور ان کے غرفوں پر مزید غرفے ہیں جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہوں گی - یہ خدا کا وعدہ ہے اور خدا اپنے وعدہ کے خلاف نہیں کرتا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

البتہ جو لوگ اپنے رب سے ڈر کر رہے اُن کے لیے بلند عمارتیں ہیں منزل پر منزل بنی ہوئی، جن کے نیچے نہریں بہہ رہی ہوں گی یہ اللہ کا وعدہ ہے، اللہ کبھی اپنے وعدے کی خلاف ورزی نہیں کرتا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

لیکن جو اپنے رب سے ڈرے ان کے لیے بالا خانے ہیں ان پر بالا خانے بنے ان کے نیچے نہریں بہیں، اللہ کا وعدہ، اللہ وعدہ خلاف نہیں کرتا، - Ahmed Raza

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ فَسَلَكَهُۥ يَنَٰبِيعَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ يُخْرِجُ بِهِۦ زَرْعًۭا مُّخْتَلِفًا أَلْوَٰنُهُۥ ثُمَّ يَهِيجُ فَتَرَىٰهُ مُصْفَرًّۭا ثُمَّ يَجْعَلُهُۥ حُطَٰمًا ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَذِكْرَىٰ لِأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Hast thou not seen how Allah hath sent down water from the sky and hath caused it to penetrate the earth as watersprings, and afterward thereby produceth crops of divers hues; and afterward they wither and thou seest them turn yellow; then He maketh them chaff. Lo! herein verily is a reminder for men of understanding. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Have you not seen that Allah sends down water from the sky, then He conducts it through the ground as springs. Then He brings forth with it crops of diverse hues. Then they wither and you see them turn yellow. Then He turns them into chaff. There is indeed a lesson in that for those who possess intellect. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Have you not seen that God has sent down water from the sky and made it flow as springs out of the earth? He makes crops of different colors grow with this water and flourish, which then turn yellow and wither away. In this there is a reminder for the people of understanding. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Do you not see that Allah sends down water from the cloud, then makes it go along in the earth in springs, then brings forth therewith herbage of various colors, then it withers so that you see it becoming yellow, then He makes it a thing crushed and broken into pieces? کیا تم نے نہیں دیکھا کہ خدا نے آسمان سے پانی نازل کیا ہے پھر اسے مختلف چشموں میں جاری کردیا ہے پھر اس کے ذریعہ مختلف رنگ کی زراعت پیدا کرتا ہے پھر وہ کھیتی سوکھ جاتی ہے تو اسے زرد رنگ میں دیکھتے ہو پھر اسے بھوسا بنادیتا ہے ان تمام باتوں میں صاحبانِ عقل کے لئے یاددہانی اور نصیحت کا سامان پایا جاتا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

کیا تم نہیں دیکھتے کہ اللہ نے آسمان سے پانی برسایا، پھر اس کو سوتوں اور چشموں اور دریاؤں کی شکل میں زمین کے اندر جاری کیا، پھر اس پانی کے ذریعہ سے وہ طرح طرح کی کھیتیاں نکالتا ہے جن کی قسمیں مختلف ہیں، پھر وہ کھیتیاں پک کر سوکھ جاتی ہیں، پھر تم دیکھتے ہو کہ وہ زرد پڑ گئیں، پھر آخرکار اللہ اُن کو بھس بنا دیتا ہے در حقیقت اِس میں ایک سبق ہے عقل رکھنے والوں کے لیے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

Allah hath (now) revealed the fairest of statements, a Scripture consistent, (wherein promises of reward are) paired (with threats of punishment), whereat doth creep the flesh of those who fear their Lord, so that their flesh and their hearts soften to Allah's reminder. Such is Allah's guidance, wherewith He guideth whom He will. And him whom Allah sendeth astray, for him there is no guide. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Allah has sent down the best of discourses, a scripture [composed] of similar motifs, whereat shiver the skins of those who fear their Lord, then their skins and hearts relax at Allah]s remembrance. God has revealed the best reading material in the form of a Book with similar passages which refer to each other and make the skins of those who fear their Lord shiver. اللہ نے بہترین کلام اتارا ہے، ایک ایسی کتاب جس کے تمام اجزاء ہم رنگ ہیں اور جس میں بار بار مضامین دہرائے گئے ہیں اُسے سن کر اُن لوگوں کے رونگٹے کھڑے ہو جاتے ہیں جو اپنے رب سے ڈرنے والے ہیں، اور پھر ان کے جسم اور ان کے دل نرم ہو کر اللہ کے ذکر کی طرف راغب ہو جاتے ہیں یہ اللہ کی ہدایت ہے جس سے وہ راہ راست پر لے آتا ہے جسے چاہتا ہے اور جسے اللہ ہی ہدایت نہ دے اس کے لیے پھر کوئی ہادی نہیں ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala
