أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ

فِى

ٱلْعَذَابِ

مُحْضَرُونَ

And as for those who strive against Our revelations, challenging, they will be brought to the doom. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
As for those who contend with Our signs seeking to frustrate [their purpose], they will be brought to the punishment. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
Those who try to challenge Our revelations will be driven into torment. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And (as for) those who strive in opposing Our communications, they shall be caused to be brought to the chastisement. - Shakir, Habib

while those who strive to thwart Our messages, seeking to defeat their purpose, shall be summoned to punishment. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جو لوگ ہماری نشانیوں کے مقابلہ میں دوڑ دھوپ کررہے ہیں وہ جہّنم کے عذاب میں جھونک دیئے جائیں گے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

Say: Lo! my Lord enlargeth the provision for whom He will of His bondmen, and narroweth (it) for him. And whatsoever ye spend (for good) He replaceth it. And He is the Best of Providers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Say, [Indeed my Lord expands the provision for whomever of His servants that He wishes and tightens it, and He will repay whatever you may spend, and He is the best of providers.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Say, [It is my Lord who determines and increases the sustenance of whomever He wants. He will replace whatever you spend for His cause and He is the best Sustainer.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

Say: Surely my Lord amplifies the means of subsistence for whom He pleases of His servants and straitens (them) for whom (He pleases), and whatever thing you spend, He exceeds it in reward, and He is the best of Sustainers. - Shakir, Habib

Say to them, [It is my Lord who increases the provision for such of His servants as He pleases, and decreases it for such of them as He pleases. Whatever you spend, He will recompense you for it. He is the best of providers.] - Wahiduddin Khan

وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًۭا ثُمَّ يَقُولُ لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ إِيَّاكُمْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْبُدُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And on the day when He will gather them all together, He will say unto the angels: Did these worship you? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

On the day He will muster them all together, He will say to the angels, [Was it you that these used to worship?] - Qarai, Ali Quli

On the day when God will rise them all together and ask the angels, [Had these people been worshipping you?] - Sarwar, Muhammad

They will say: Be Thou Glorified. Thou (alone) art our Guardian, not them! Nay, but they worshipped the jinn; most of them were believers in them. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They will say, [Immaculate are You! You are our wali, not they! No, they used to worship the jinn; most of them had faith in them.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

They will reply, [All glory belongs to you. You are our guardian, not they. They had been worshipping the jinn and most of them had strong faith]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

They shall say: Glory be to Thee! Thou art our Guardian, not they; nay! they worshipped the jinn; most of them were believers in them. - Shakir, Habib

They will say, [Glory be to You! You are our protector, not them. Indeed no! They worshipped the jinn; it was in them that most of them believed.] - Wahiduddin Khan

تو وہ عرض کریں گے کہ تو پاک و بے نیاز اور ہمارا ولی ہے یہ ہمارے کچھ نہیں ہیں اور یہ جنّات کی عبادت کرتے تھے اور ان کی اکثریت ان ہی پر ایمان رکھتی تھی - Jawadi, Zeeshan

تو وہ جواب دیں گے کہ ——پاک ہے آپ کی ذات، ہمارا تعلق تو آپ سے ہے نہ کہ اِن لوگوں سے دراصل یہ ہماری نہیں بلکہ جنوں کی عبادت کرتے تھے، ان میں سے اکثر انہی پر ایمان لائے ہوئے تھے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

فَٱلْيَوْمَ لَا يَمْلِكُ بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍۢ نَّفْعًۭا وَلَا ضَرًّۭا وَنَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ ٱلَّتِى كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

That day ye will possess no use nor hurt one for another. And We shall say unto those who did wrong: Taste the doom of the Fire which ye used to deny. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

[Today you have no power to benefit or harm one another,] and We shall say to those who did wrong, [Taste the punishment of the Fire which you used to deny.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

None of them can help or harm each other on this day. We shall tell the unjust ones, [Suffer the torment of the fire which you had called a lie.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

So on that day one of you shall not control profit or harm for another, and We will say to those who were unjust: Taste the chastisement of the fire which you called a lie. - Shakir, Habib

Today you possess no power to benefit or harm one another. We shall say to the wrongdoers, [Suffer the punishment of the Fire that you persistently denied.] - Wahiduddin Khan

پھر آج کوئی کسی کے نفع اور نقصان کا مالک نہیں ہوگا اور ہم ظلم کرنے والوں سے کہیں گے کہ اس جہّنم کے عذاب کا مزہ چکھو جس کی تکذیب کیا کرتے تھے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

(اُس وقت ہم کہیں گے کہ) آج تم میں سے کوئی نہ کسی کو فائدہ پہنچا سکتا ہے نہ نقصان اور ظالموں سے ہم کہہ دیں گے کہ اب چکھو اس عذاب جہنم کا مزہ جسے تم جھٹلایا کرتے تھے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتُنَا بَيِّنَٰتٍۢ قَالُوا۟ مَا هَٰذَآ إِلَّا رَجُلٌۭ يُرِيدُ أَن يَصُدَّكُمْ عَمَّا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ ءَابَآؤُكُمْ وَقَالُوا۟ مَا هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ إِفْكٌۭ مُّفْتَرًۭى ۚ وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And if Our revelations are recited unto them in plain terms, they say: This is naught else than a man who would turn you away from what your fathers used to worship; and they say: This is naught else than an invented lie. Those who disbelieve say of the truth when it reacheth them: This is naught else than mere magic. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When Our manifest signs are recited to them, they say, [This is just a man who desires to keep you from what your fathers used to worship.] And they say, [This is nothing but a fabricated lie.] The faithless say of the truth when it comes to them: [This is nothing but plain magic,] - Qarai, Ali Quli

When Our illustrious revelations are recited to them, they say, [This man only wants to prevent you from worshipping what your father's had worshipped.] They say [This, (the Quran), is a mere invented lie.] The unbelievers have said about the truth when it came to them, [This only is plain magic.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when Our clear communications are recited to them, they say: This is naught but a man who desires to turn you away from that which your fathers worshipped. And they say: This is naught but a lie that is forged. And those who disbelieve say of the truth when it comes to them: This is only clear enchantment. - Shakir, Habib

Whenever Our messages are conveyed to them in all their clarity, they say, [This [Muhammad] is nothing but a man who wants to turn you away from what your forefathers worshipped.] And they say, [This [Quran] is nothing but an invented falsehood.] And they who are bent on denying the truth speak thus of the truth when it comes to them, [This is clearly nothing but plain sorcery!] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جب ان کے سامنے ہماری روشن آیتوں کی تلاوت کی جاتی ہے تو کہتے ہیں کہ یہ شخص صرف یہ چاہتا ہے کہ تمہیں ان سب سے روک دے جن کی تمہارے آبائ و اجداد پرستش کیا کرتے تھے اور یہ صرف ایک گڑھی ہوئی داستان ہے اور کفاّر تو جب بھی ان کے سامنے حق آتا ہے یہی کہتے ہیں کہ یہ ایک کھلا ہوا جادو ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

Those before them denied, and these have not attained a tithe of that which We bestowed on them (of old); yet they denied My messengers. How intense then was My abhorrence (of them)! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Those who were before them had also denied—and these have not attained one-tenth of what We had given them—they impugned My apostles, so how was My rebuttal! - Qarai, Ali Quli
