فَنَادَتْهُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَهُوَ قَآئِمٌۭ يُصَلِّى فِى ٱلْمِحْرَابِ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكَ بِيَحْيَىٰ مُصَدِّقًۢا بِكَلِمَةٍۢ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَسَيِّدًۭا وَحَصُورًۭا وَنَبِيًّۭا مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And the angels called to him as he stood praying in the sanctuary: Allah giveth thee glad tidings of (a son whose name is) John, (who cometh) to confirm a word from Allah lordly, chaste, a prophet of the righteous. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Then, as he stood praying in the sanctuary the angels called out to him: [Allah gives you the good news of John, as a confirmer of a Word of Allah, eminent and chaste, a prophet, and one of the righteous.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

When he was standing during prayer in his place of worship, the angels called him saying, [God gives you the glad news of the birth of your son, John who will be a confirmation of (Jesus) the Word of God. He will become a chaste, noble leader and one of the righteous Prophets. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Then the angels called to him as he stood praying in the sanctuary: That Allah gives you the good news of Yahya verifying a Word from Allah, and honorable and chaste and a prophet from among the good ones. - Shakir, Habib

تو ملائکہ نے انہیں اس وقت آواز دی جب وہ محراب میں کھڑے مصرورِ عبادت تھے کہ خدا تمہیں یحیٰی علیھ السّلام کی بشارت دے رہا ہے جو اس کے کلمہ کی تصدیق کرنے والا, سردار, پاکیزہ کردار اور صالحین میں سے نبی ہوگا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

جواب میں فرشتوں نے آواز دی، جب کہ وہ محراب میں کھڑا نماز پڑھ رہا تھا، کہ ——اللہ تجھے یحییٰؑ کی خوش خبری دیتا ہے وہ اللہ کی طرف سے ایک فرمان کی تصدیق کرنے و الا بن کر آئے گا اس میں سرداری و بزرگی کی شان ہوگی کمال درجہ کا ضابط ہوگا نبوت سے سرفراز ہوگا اور صالحین میں شمار کیا جائے گا—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تو فرشتوں نے اسے آواز دی اور وہ اپنی نماز کی جگہ کھڑا نماز پڑھ رہا تھا بیشک اللہ آپ کو مژدہ دیتا ہے یحییٰ کا جو اللہ کی طرف کے ایک کلمہ کی تصدیق کرے گا اور سردار اور ہمیشہ کے لیے عورتوں سے بچنے والا اور نبی ہمارے خاصوں میں سے - Ahmed Raza

تو فرشتوں نے انہیں اس حالت میں آواز دی جب کہ وہ محراب میں کھڑے ہوئے نماز پڑھ رہے تھے۔ کہ خدا آپ کو یحییٰ کی بشارت دیتا ہے جو اللہ کے ایک کلمہ (عیسیٰ) کی تصدیق کرنے والا ہوگا۔ سردار، ضبط نفس کرنے والا پارسا اور نیکوکار جماعت میں سے نبی ہوگا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

He said: My Lord! How can I have a son when age hath overtaken me already and my wife is barren? (The angel) answered: So (it will be). Allah doeth what He will. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

انہوں نے عرض کی کہ میرے یہاں کس طرح اولاد ہوگی جب کہ مجھ پر بڑھاپا آگیا ہے اور میری عورت بھی بانجھ ہے تو ارشاد ہوا کہ خدا اسی طرح جو چاہتا ہے کرتاہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

قَالَ رَبِّ ٱجْعَل لِّىٓ ءَايَةًۭ ۖ قَالَ ءَايَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ ٱلنَّاسَ ثَلَٰثَةَ أَيَّامٍ إِلَّا رَمْزًۭا ۗ وَٱذْكُر رَّبَّكَ كَثِيرًۭا وَسَبِّحْ بِٱلْعَشِىِّ وَٱلْإِبْكَٰرِ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

He said: My Lord! Appoint a token for me. (The angel) said: The token unto thee (shall be) that thou shalt not speak unto mankind three days except by signs. Remember thy Lord much, and praise (Him) in the early hours of night and morning. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

He said, [My Lord, grant me a sign.] Said He, [Your sign is that you will not speak to people for three days except in gestures. Remember Your Lord much, and glorify Him morning and evening.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Zachariah prayed to God saying, [Lord, show me the evidence (that it is Divine revelation).] The Lord replied, [You must not speak to people for three days except with gestures. Commemorate your Lord often and glorify Him in the early mornings and the evenings.] - Sarwar, Muhammad
