وَأَصْبَحَ

وَأَصْبَحَ ٱلَّذِينَ تَمَنَّوْا۟ مَكَانَهُۥ بِٱلْأَمْسِ يَقُولُونَ وَيْكَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَبْسُطُ ٱلرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ وَيَقْدِرُ ۖ لَوْلَآ أَن مَّنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا لَخَسَفَ بِنَا ۖ وَيْكَأَنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ

⦿

And morning found those who had coveted his place but yesterday crying: Ah, welladay! Allah enlargeth the provision for whom He will of His slaves and straiteneth it (for whom He will). If Allah had not been gracious unto us He would have caused it to swallow us (also). Ah, welladay! the disbelievers never prosper.

By dawn those who longed to be in his place the day before were saying, [Don]t you see that Allah expands the provision for whomever He wishes of His servants, and tightens it? Had Allah not shown us favour, He might have made the earth swallow us too. Don]t you see that the faithless do not prosper?]

⦿

The people who the other day had wished to be like him, began saying, [Woe to us! God gives abundant wealth only to those of His servants whom He wants and He determines everyone's share. Had it not been for God's favor to us, He would have caused the earth to swallow us up. Woe to the unbelievers who will have no happiness.]

And those who yearned for his place only the day before began to say: Ah! (know) that Allah amplifies and straitens the means of subsistence for whom He pleases of His servants; had not Allah been gracious to us, He would most surely have abased us; ah! (know) that the ungrateful are never successful.

Those who had coveted his position the day before now began to say, [Ah! It is indeed God alone who gives abundantly to whom He will and sparingly to whom He pleases. Had not God been gracious to us, He would have caused us to be swallowed up also.] Alas indeed! Those who deny the truth will never prosper.

اور جن لوگوں نے کل اس کی جگہ کی تمناّ کی تھی وہ کہنے لگے کہ معاذ اللہ یہ تو خدا جس بندے کے لئے چاہتا ہے اس کے رزق میں وسعت پیدا کردیتا ہے اور جس کے یہاں چاہتا ہے تنگی پیدا کردیتا ہے اور اگر اس نے ہم پر احسان نہ کردیا ہوتا تو ہمیں بھی دھنسا دیا ہوتا معاذاللرُ کافروں کے لئے واقعا فلاح نہیں ہے

اب وہی لوگ جو کل اس کی منزلت کی تمنا کر رہے تھے کہنے لگے ——افسوس، ہم بھول گئے تھے کہ اللہ اپنے بندوں میں سے جس کا رزق چاہتا ہے کشادہ کرتا ہے اور جسے چاہتا ہے نَپا تلا دیتا ہے اگر اللہ نے ہم پر احسان نہ کیا ہوتا تو ہمیں بھی زمین میں دَھنسا دیتا افسوس ہم کو یاد نہ رہا کہ کافر فلاح نہیں پایا کرتے——

اور کل جس نے اس کے مرتبہ کی آرزو کی تھی صبح کہنے لگے عجب بات ہے اللہ رزق وسیع کرتا ہے اپنے بندوں میں جس کے لیے چاہے اور تنگی فرماتا ہے اگر اللہ ہم پر احسان فرماتا تو ہمیں بھی دھنسادیتا، اے عجب، کافروں کا بھلا نہیں،

اور وہ لوگ جو کل اس کے جاہ و مرتبہ کی تمنا کر رہے تھے اب کہنے لگے افسوس (اب پتہ چلا) کہ اللہ اپنے بندوں میں سے جس کا رزق چاہتا ہے کشادہ کر دیتا ہے اور جس کا چاہتا ہے تنگ کر دیتا ہے۔ اگر اللہ ہم پر (تنگدست بنا کر) احسان نہ کرتا تو ہمیں بھی زمین میں دھنسا دیتا اور کافر کبھی فلاح نہیں پاتے۔

تِلْكَ ٱلدَّارُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ نَجْعَلُهَا لِلَّذِينَ لَا يُرِيدُونَ عُلُوًّۭا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا فَسَادًۭا ۚ وَٱلْعَٰقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ

⦿

As for that Abode of the Hereafter We assign it unto those who seek not oppression in the earth, nor yet corruption. The sequel is for those who ward off (evil).

This is the abode of the Hereafter, which We shall grant to those who do not desire to domineer in the earth nor to cause corruption, and the outcome will be in favour of the Godwary.

There is the life hereafter which We have prepared for those who do not want to impose their superiority over the others in the land nor commit evil therein. The happy end certainly belongs to the pious ones.

(As for) that future abode, We assign it to those who have no desire to exalt themselves in the earth nor to make mischief and the good end is for those who guard (against evil)

As for the abode of the Hereafter, We shall assign it to those who seek neither self-aggrandisement on the earth nor corruption. The righteous shall have a blessed end.

یہ دا» آخرت وہ ہے جسے ہم ان لوگوں کے لئے قرار دیتے ہیں جو زمین میں بلندی اور فساد کے طلبگار نہیں ہوتے ہیں اور عاقبت تو صرف صاحبانِ تقویٰ کے لئے ہے

وہ آخرت کا گھر تو ہم اُن لوگوں کے لیے مخصوص کر دیں گے جو زمین میں اپنی بڑائی نہیں چاہتے اور نہ فساد کرنا چاہتے ہیں اور انجام کی بھَلائی متقین ہی کے لیے ہے

یہ آخرت کا گھر ہم ان کے لیے کرتے ہیں جو زمین میں تکبر نہیں چاہتے اور نہ فساد، اور عاقبت پرہیزگاروں ہی کی ہے،

مَن جَآءَ بِٱلْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُۥ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنْهَا ۖ وَمَن جَآءَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ فَلَا يُجْزَى ٱلَّذِينَ عَمِلُوا۟ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ إِلَّا مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

⦿

Whoso bringeth a good deed, he will have better than the same; while as for him who bringeth an ill-deed, those who do ill-deeds will be requited only what they did.

⦿

Whoever brings virtue shall receive [a reward] better than it, but whoever brings vice—those who commit misdeeds shall not be requited except for what they used to do.

⦿

The reward for a good deed will be greater than the deed itself and the recompense for an evil deed will be equivalent to the deed.

⦿

Whoever brings good, he shall have better than it, and whoever brings evil, those who do evil shall not be rewarded (for) aught except what they did.

⦿

He who does good shall be rewarded with something better. But he who does evil shall be requited according to his deeds.

جو کوئی نیکی کرے گا اسے اس سے بہتر اجر ملے گا اور جو کوئی برائی کرے گا تو برائی کرنے والوں کو اتنی ہی سزادی جائے گی جیسے اعمال وہ کرتے رہے ہیں

جو کوئی بھَلائی لے کر آئے گا اس کے لیے اس سے بہتر بھَلائی ہے، اور جو بُرائی لے کر آئے تو بُرائیاں کرنے والوں کو ویسا ہی بدلہ ملے گا جیسے عمل وہ کرتے تھے

جو نیکی لائے اس کے لیے اس سے بہتر ہے اور جو بدی لائے بدکام والوں کو بدلہ نہ ملے گا مگر جتنا کیا تھا،

جو کوئی بھلائی لے کر آئے گا اسے اس سے بہتر صلہ ملے گا اور جو کوئی برائی لے کر آئے گا تو ایسے لوگوں کو جو برائیاں کرتے ہیں تو انہیں بدلہ بھی اتنا ہی ملے گا جتنا وہ (برائی) کرتے تھے۔

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِى فَرَضَ عَلَيْكَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لَرَآدُّكَ إِلَىٰ مَعَادٍۢ ۚ قُل رَّبِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ مَن جَآءَ بِٱلْهُدَىٰ وَمَنْ هُوَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ

⦿

Lo! He Who hath given thee the Qur'an for a law will surely bring thee home again. Say: My Lord is Best Aware of him who bringeth guidance and him who is in error manifest.

⦿

Indeed He who has revealed to you the Quran will surely restore you to the place of return. Say, [My Lord knows best him who brings guidance and him who is in manifest error.]

⦿

(Muhammad), God, Who has commanded you to follow the guidance of the Quran, will certainly return you victoriously to your place of birth. Say, [My Lord knows best who has brought guidance and who is in plain error.]

⦿

Most surely He Who has made the Quran binding on you will bring you back to the destination. Say: My Lord knows best him who has brought the guidance and him who is in manifest error.

He who has entrusted you with the responsibility of the Quran, will surely lead you to a successful end. Say, [My Lord knows best who is rightly guided and who is in gross error.]

بیشک جس نے آپ پر قرآن کا فریضہ عائد کیا ہے وہ آپ کو آپ کی منزل تک ضرور واپس پہنچائے گا .آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ میرا پروردگار بہتر جانتا ہے کہ کون ہدایت لے کر آیا ہے اور کون کھلی ہوئی گمراہی میں ہے

اے نبیؐ، یقین جانو کہ جس نے یہ قرآن تم پر فرض کیا ہے وہ تمہیں ایک بہترین انجام کو پہنچانے والا ہے اِن لوگوں سے کہہ دو کہ ——میرا رب خُوب جانتا ہے کہ ہدایت لے کر کون آیا ہے اور کھُلی گمراہی میں کون مُبتلا ہے——

بیشک جس نے تم پر قرآن فرض کیا وہ تمہیں پھیر لے جائے گا جہاں پھرنا چاہتے ہو تم فرماؤ، میرا رب خوب جانتا ہے اسے جو ہدایت لایا اور جو کھلی گمراہی میں ہے

(اے رسول(ص)) جس (خدا) نے آپ پرقرآن (کا پہنچانا) فرض کیا ہے وہ آپ کو واپسی کی منزل (مکہ) تک پھر پہنچا کر رہے گا۔ آپ کہئے! میرا پروردگار بہتر جانتا ہے کہ ہدایت لے کر کون آیا ہے اور کھلی ہوئی گمراہی میں کون ہے؟

وَمَا

وَمَا كُنتَ تَرْجُوٓا۟ أَن يُلْقَىٰٓ إِلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبُ إِلَّا رَحْمَةًۭ مِّن رَّبِّكَ ۖ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ ظَهِيرًۭا لِّلْكَٰفِرِينَ

⦿

Thou hadst no hope that the Scripture would be inspired in thee; but it is a mercy from thy Lord, so never be a helper to the disbelievers.

You did not expect that the Book would be delivered to you; but it was a mercy from your Lord. So do not be ever an advocate of the faithless.

⦿

You had no hope of receiving the Book except by the mercy of your Lord. Do not be a supporter of the unbelievers.

⦿

And you did not expect that the Book would be inspired to you, but it is a mercy from your Lord, therefore be not a backer-up of the unbelievers.

⦿

You never expected that this Book would be revealed to you. Yet, by the grace of your Lord, you have received it. So do not support those who reject the truth.

اور آپ تو اس بات کے امیدوار نہیں تھے کہ آپ کی طرف کتاب نازل کی جائے یہ تو رحمت هپروردگار ہے لہذا خبردار آپ کافروں کا ساتھ نہ دیجئے گا

تم اس بات کے ہرگز امیدوار نہ تھے کہ تم پر کتاب نازل کی جائے گی، یہ تو محض تمہارے رب کی مہربانی سے (تم پر نازل ہوئی ہے)، پس تم کافروں کے مدد گار نہ بنو

اور تم امید نہ رکھتے تھے کہ کتاب تم پر بھیجی جائے گی ہاں تمہارے رب نے رحمت فرمائی تو تم ہرگز کافروں کی پشتی (مدد) نہ کرنا

اور آپ کو اس بات کی امید نہیں تھی کہ آپ پر (یہ) کتاب نازل کی جائے گی۔ یہ تو بس آپ کے پروردگار کی رحمت ہے۔ لہٰذا آپ بھی کافروں کے پشت پناہ نہ بنئے گا۔

ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ

وَلَا يَصُدُّنَّكَ عَنْ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ بَعْدَ إِذْ أُنزِلَتْ إِلَيْكَ ۖ وَٱدْعُ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ۖ وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ

⦿

And let them not divert thee from the revelations of Allah after they have been sent down unto thee; but call (mankind) unto thy Lord, and be not of those who ascribe partners (unto Him).

⦿

Do not ever let them bar you from Allah]s signs after they have been sent down to you. Invite to your Lord, and never be one of the polytheists.

⦿

Let them not prevent you from following the revelations of God after they are revealed to you. Call (mankind) to your Lord and do not be a pagan.

⦿

And let them not turn you aside from the communications of Allah after they have been revealed to you, and call (men) to your Lord and be not of the polytheists.

⦿

And let no one divert you from God's revelations, once they have been sent down to you. Call people to your Lord. Never be of those who ascribe partners to God.

اور ہرگز یہ لوگ آیات کے نازل ہونے کے بعد ان کی تبلیغ سے آپ کو روکنے نہ پائیں اور آپ اپنے رب کی طرف دعوت دیجئے اور خبردار مشرکین میں سے نہ ہوجایئے

اور ایسا کبھی نہ ہونے پائے کہ اللہ کی آیات جب تم پر نازل ہوں تو کفّار تمہیں اُن سے باز رکھیں اپنے رب کی طرف دعوت دو اور ہرگز مشرکوں میں شامل نہ ہو

اور ہرگز وہ تمہیں اللہ کی آیتوں سے نہ روکیں بعد اس کے کہ وہ تمہاری طرف اتاری گئیں اور اپنے رب کی طرف بلاؤ اور ہرگز شرک والوں میں سے نہ ہونا

اور (خیال رکھنا) کہ یہ لوگ آپ کو اللہ کی آیتوں (کی تبلیغ) سے کہیں روک نہ دیں بعد اس کے کہ وہ آپ پر نازل ہو چکی ہیں اور آپ اپنے پروردگار کی طرف (لوگوں کو) بلائیں اور ہرگز مشرکوں میں سے نہ ہونا۔

وَلَا

And do not

تَدْعُ

إِلَٰهَ

unchallenged master

إِلَّا

except

هُوَ

Him —

كُلُّ

all of

شَىْءٍ

things

هَالِكٌ

will die

إِلَّا

except

وَجْهَهُۥ

His reason;

لَهُ

to Him belongs

ٱلْحُكْمُ

the virdict

وَإِلَيْهِ

and to Him

تُرْجَعُونَ

you will return.

وَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ ۘ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ كُلُّ شَىْءٍ هَالِكٌ إِلَّا وَجْهَهُۥ ۚ لَهُ ٱلْحُكْمُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

And do not call with the One, as a master, anyone else — no unchallenged master except Him — all of things will die except His reason; to Him belongs the virdict and to Him you will return.

And cry not unto any other god along with Allah. There is no Allah save Him. Everything will perish save His countenance. His is the command, and unto Him ye will be brought back.

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.

Because the process must be transparent, the entire website is available for you to download. You can go through the code, and if you can make any improvements to this process, you are most welcome to. It is a humble request to update me regarding the improvements so I can also update myself.
