كَانُوا۟

يَهْتَدُونَ

٦٤
وَقِيلَ ٱدْعُوا۟ شُرَكَآءَكُمْ فَدَعَوْهُمْ فَلَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لَهُمْ وَرَأَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ۚ لَوْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ يَهْتَدُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And it will be said: Cry unto your (so-called) partners (of Allah). And they will cry unto them, and they will give no answer unto them, and they will see the Doom. Ah, if they had but been guided! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

It will be said, [Invoke your partners!] So they will invoke them, but they will not respond to them, and they will sight the punishment, wishing they had followed guidance. - Qarai, Ali Quli

They will be told to call their idols. They will call them but will receive no answer. They will see the torment approaching and wish that they had sought guidance. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And it will be said: Call your associate-gods. So they will call upon them, but they will not answer them, and they shall see the punishment; would that they had followed the right way! - Shakir, Habib

Then they will be told, [Call upon your partners.] And they will call upon them, but will receive no answer. They shall witness the punishment. If only they had allowed themselves to be guided. - Wahiduddin Khan

تو کہا جائے گا کہ اچھا اپنے شرکائ کو پکارو تو وہ پکاریں گے لیکن کوئی جواب نہ پائیں گے بلکہ عذاب ہی کو دیکھیں گے تو کاش یہ دنیا ہی میں ہدایت یافتہ ہوجاتے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پھر اِن سے کہا جائے گا کہ پکارو اب اپنے ٹھیرائے ہوئے شریکوں کو یہ انہیں پکاریں گے مگر وہ اِن کو کوئی جواب نہ دیں گے اور یہ لوگ عذاب دیکھ لیں گے کاش یہ ہدایت اختیار کرنے والے ہوتے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ان سے فرمایا جائے گا اپنے شریکوں کو پکارو تو وہ پکاریں گے تو وہ ان کی نہ سنیں گے اور دیکھیں گے عذاب، کیا اچھا ہوتا اگر وہ راہ پاتے - Ahmed Raza

پھر (ان سے) کہا جائے گا کہ اپنے (مزعومہ) شریکوں کو بلاؤ چنانچہ وہ انہیں پکاریں گے مگر وہ انہیں کوئی جواب نہیں دیں گے۔ اور عذاب کو دیکھیں گے (اس پر وہ تمنا کریں گے کہ) کاش وہ ہدایت یافتہ ہوتے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

But as for him who shall repent and believe and do right, he haply may be one of the successful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

وَرَبُّكَ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ وَيَخْتَارُ ۗ مَا كَانَ لَهُمُ ٱلْخِيَرَةُ ۚ سُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Thy Lord bringeth to pass what He willeth and chooseth. They have never any choice. Glorified be Allah and Exalted above all that they associate (with Him)! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Your Lord creates whatever He wishes and chooses: they have no choice. Immaculate is Allah and exalted above [having] any partners that they ascribe [to Him]. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Your Lord creates and chooses (to grant mercy) to whomever He wants. (In matters of guidance) they (unbelievers) do not have the choice to choose whatever they want. God is too exalted to be considered equal to anything else. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And your Rabb knows what is concealed in their chests and what is open.

the beginning
وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
and the end,
ۖ
وَلَهُ
and for Him is
ٱلْحُكْمُ
the verdict,
وَإِلَيْهِ
and towards Him
تُرْجَعُونَ
you will return.

وَهُوَ ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ لَهُ ٱلْحَمْدُ فِى ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۖ وَلَهُ ٱلْحُكْمُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ And He is the One — no unchallenged master except Him — to Him belongs the power in the beginning and the end, and for Him is the verdict, and towards Him you will return.

And He is Allah; there is no Allah save Him. His is all praise in the former and the latter (state), and His is the command, and unto Him ye will be brought back. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

He is Allah, there is no god except Him. All praise belongs to Him in this world and the Hereafter. All judgement belongs to Him, and to Him you will be brought back. - Qarai, Ali Quli

قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِن جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ سَرْمَدًا إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ مَنْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ ٱللَّهِ يَأْتِيكُم بِضِيَآءٍ ۖ أَفَلَا تَسْمَعُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Say: Have ye thought, if Allah made night everlasting for you till the Day of Resurrection, who is a god beside Allah who could bring you light? Will ye not then hear? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Say, [Tell me, if Allah were to make the night perpetual for you until the Day of Resurrection, what god other than Allah can bring you light? Will you not listen?] - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), ask them, [Think, if God were to cause the night to continue until the Day of Judgment which Lord besides Him could bring you light? Will you then not listen to (His revelations)?] - Sarwar, Muhammad

Say: Tell me, if Allah were to make the night to continue incessantly on you till the day of resurrection, who is the god besides Allah that could bring you light? Do you not then hear? - Shakir, Habib
