وَوَرِثَ سُلَيْمَٰنُ دَاوُۥدَ ۖ وَقَالَ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ عُلِّمْنَا مَنطِقَ ٱلطَّيْرِ وَأُوتِينَا مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ ۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْفَضْلُ ٱلْمُبِينُ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And Solomon was David's heir. And he said: O mankind! Lo! we have been taught the language of birds, and have been given (abundance) of all things. This surely is evident favour. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Solomon inherited from David, and he said, [O people! We have been taught the speech of the birds, and we have been given out of everything. Indeed this is a manifest advantage.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

And there were gathered together unto Solomon his armies of the jinn and humankind, and of the birds, and they were set in battle order; - Pickthall, Marmaduke

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَتَوْا۟ عَلَىٰ وَادِ ٱلنَّمْلِ قَالَتْ نَمْلَةٌۭ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّمْلُ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ مَسَٰكِنَكُمْ لَا يَحْطِمَنَّكُمْ سُلَيْمَٰنُ وَجُنُودُهُۥ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Till, when they reached the Valley of the Ants, an ant exclaimed: O ants! Enter your dwellings lest Solomon and his armies crush you, unperceiving. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When they came to the Valley of Ants, an ant said, [O ants! Enter your dwellings, lest Solomon and his hosts should trample on you while they are unaware.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

When they arrived in the valley of the ants, one ant said to the others, [Enter your dwellings lest you be carelessly crushed by Soloman and his army.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

Until when they came to the valley of the Naml, a Namlite said: O Naml! enter your houses, (that) Sulaiman and his hosts may not crush you while they do not know. - Shakir, Habib

and when they came to the Valley of the Ants, one ant said, [Ants! Go into your dwellings, in case Solomon and his hosts inadvertently crush you.] - Wahiduddin Khan

یہاں تک کہ جب وہ لوگ وادئی نمل تک آئے تو ایک چیونٹی نے آواز دی کہ چیونٹیوں سب اپنے اپنے سوراخوں میں داخل ہوجاؤ کہ سلیمان اور ان کا لشکر تمہیں پامال نہ کر ڈالے اور انہیں اس کا شعور بھی نہ ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

(ایک مرتبہ وہ ان کے ساتھ کوچ کر رہا تھا) یہاں تک کہ جب یہ سب چیونٹیوں کی وادی میں پہنچے تو ایک چیونٹی نے کہا ——“اے چیونٹیو، اپنے بلوں میں گھس جاؤ، کہیں ایسا نہ ہو کہ سلیمانؑ اور اس کے لشکر تمہیں کچل ڈالیں اور انہیں خبر بھی نہ ہو—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

فَتَبَسَّمَ ضَاحِكًۭا مِّن قَوْلِهَا وَقَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِىٓ أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَىَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَىَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَٰلِحًۭا تَرْضَىٰهُ وَأَدْخِلْنِى بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِى عِبَادِكَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And (Solomon) smiled, laughing at her speech, and said: My Lord, arouse me to be thankful for Thy favour wherewith Thou hast favoured me and my parents, and to do good that shall be pleasing unto Thee, and include me in (the number of) Thy righteous slaves. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Whereat he smiled, amused at its words, and he said, [My Lord! Inspire me to give thanks for Your blessing with which You have blessed me and my parents, and that I may do righteous deeds which please You, and admit me, by Your mercy, among Your righteous servants.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Solomon) smiled at the ant's remarks and said, [Lord, inspire me to thank you for Your favors to me and my parents and to act righteously so as to please you. Admit me, by your mercy into the company of Your righteous servants]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

So he smiled, wondering at her word, and said: My Lord! grant me that I should be grateful for Thy favor which Thou hast bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I should do good such as Thou art pleased with, and make me enter, by Thy mercy, into Thy servants, the good ones. - Shakir, Habib

Solomon smiled broadly at its words and said, [Lord, inspire me to be thankful for the blessings You have granted me and my parents, and to do good deeds that please You; and include me, by Your grace, among Your righteous servants!] - Wahiduddin Khan

سلیمانؑ اس کی بات پر مُسکراتے ہوئے ہنس پڑا اور بولا ——اے میرے رب، مجھے قابو میں رکھ کہ میں تیرے اس احسان کا شکر ادا کرتا رہوں جو تو نے مجھ پر اور میرے والدین پر کیا ہے اور ایسا عمل صالح کروں جو تجھے پسند آئے اور اپنی رحمت سے مجھ کو اپنے صالح بندوں میں داخل کر—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تو اس کی بات مسکرا کر ہنسا اور عرض کی اے میرے رب! مجھے توفیق دے کہ میں شکر کروں تیرے احسان کا جو تو نے مجھ پر اور میرے ماں باپ پر کیے اور یہ کہ میں وہ بھلا کام کرو ں جو تجھے پسند آئے اور مجھے اپنی رحمت سے اپنے ان بندوں میں شامل کر جو تیرے قرب خاص کے سزاوار ہیں - Ahmed Raza

Then Solomon inspected the birds, and said, [How is it that I do not see the hoopoe? Is he absent then? - Wahiduddin Khan

اور سلیمان نے ہد ہد کو تلاش کیا اور وہ نظر نہ آیا تو کہا کہ آخر مجھے کیا ہوگیا ہے کہ میں ہد ہد کو نہیں دیکھ رہا ہوں کیا وہ غائب ہوگیا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

I verily will punish him with hard punishment or I verily will slay him, or he verily shall bring me a plain excuse. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
