Think not that the disbelievers can escape in the land. Fire will be their home - a hapless journey's end!

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لِيَسْتَـْٔذِنكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُكُمْ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يَبْلُغُوا۟ ٱلْحُلُمَ مِنكُمْ ثَلَٰثَ مَرَّٰتٍۢ ۚ مِّن قَبْلِ صَلَوٰةِ ٱلْفَجْرِ وَحِينَ تَضَعُونَ ثِيَابَكُم مِّنَ ٱلظَّهِيرَةِ وَمِنۢ بَعْدِ صَلَوٰةِ ٱلْعِشَآءِ ۚ ثَلَٰثُ عَوْرَٰتٍۢ لَّكُمْ ۚ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَا عَلَيْهِمْ جُنَاحٌۢ بَعْدَهُنَّ ۚ طَوَّٰفُونَ عَلَيْكُم بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌۭ

O ye who believe! Let your slaves, and those of you who have not come to puberty, ask leave of you at three times (before they come into your presence): Before the prayer of dawn, and when ye lay aside your raiment for the heat of noon, and after the prayer of night. Three times of privacy for you. It is no sin for them or for you at other times, when some of you go round attendant upon others (if they come into your presence without leave). Thus Allah maketh clear the revelations for you. Allah is Knower, Wise.

O you who have faith! Your slaves and any of you who have not yet reached puberty should seek your permission three times: before the dawn prayer, and when you put off your garments at noon, and after the night prayer. These are three times of privacy for you. Apart from these, it is not sinful of you or them to frequent one another [freely]. Thus does Allah clarify the signs for you, and Allah is all-knowing, all-wise.

Believers, your slaves and the immature people must ask your permission three times a day before entering your house: before the morning prayer, at noon time and after the late evening prayer; these are most private times. After your permission has been granted, there is no harm if they come into your presence from time to time. This is how God explains His revelations to you. God is All-knowing and All-wise.

ایمان والو تمہارے غلام و کنیز اور وہ بچے ّجو ابھی سن بلوغ کو نہیں پہنچے ہیں ان سب کو چاہئے کہ تمہارے پاس داخل ہونے کے لئے تین اوقات میں اجازت لیں نماز صبح سے پہلے اور دوپہر کے وقت جب تم کپڑے اتار کر آرام کرتے ہو اور نماز عشائ کے بعد یہ تین اوقات پردے کے ہیں اس کے بعد تمہارے لئے یا ان کے لئے کوئی حرج نہیں ہے کہ ایک دوسرے کے پاس چکر لگاتے رہیں کہ اللہ اسی طرح اپنی آیتوں کو واضح کرکے بیان کرتا ہے اور بیشک اللہ ہر شے کا جاننے والا اور صاحبِ حکمت ہے

اے لوگو جو ایمان لائے ہو، لازم ہے کہ تمہارے مملوک اور تمہارے وہ بچے جو ابھی عقل کی حد کو نہیں پہنچے ہیں، تین اوقات میں اجازت لے کر تمہارے پاس آیا کریں: صبح کی نماز سے پہلے، اور دوپہر کو جبکہ تم کپڑے اتار کر رکھ دیتے ہو، اور عشاء کی نماز کے بعد یہ تین وقت تمہارے لیے پردے کے وقت ہیں اِن کے بعد وہ بلا اجازت آئیں تو نہ تم پر کوئی گناہ ہے نہ اُن پر، تمہیں ایک دوسرے کے پاس بار بار آنا ہی ہوتا ہے اس طرح اللہ تمہارے لیے اپنے ارشادات کی توضیح کرتا ہے، اور وہ علیم و حکیم ہے

اے ایمان والو! چاہیے کہ تم سے اذن لیں تمہارے ہاتھ کے مال غلام اور جو تم میں ابھی جوانی کو نہ پہنچے تین وقت نمازِ صبح سے پہلے اور جب تم اپنے کپڑے اتار رکھتے ہو دوپہر کو اور نماز عشاء کے بعد یہ تین وقت تمہاری شرم کے ہیں ان تین کے بعد کچھ گناہ نہیں تم پر نہ ان پر آمدورفت رکھتے ہیں تمہارے یہاں ایک دوسرے کے پاس اللہ یونہی بیان کرتا ہے تمہارے لیے آیتیں، اور اللہ علم و حکمت والا ہے،

اے ایمان والو! چاہیے کہ تمہارے غلام اور وہ بچے جو ابھی حدِ بلوغ کو نہیں پہنچے (گھروں میں داخل ہوتے وقت) تین بار تم سے اجازت طلب کریں۔ نمازِ صبح سے پہلے، اور جس وقت تم دوپہر کو اپنے کپڑے اتار دیتے ہو اور نماز عشاء کے بعد۔ یہ تین وقت (آرام کرنے کیلئے) تمہارے لئے پردے کے وقت ہیں ان اوقات کے علاوہ تم پر اور ان پر کوئی حرج نہیں ہے تم لوگ ایک دوسرے کے پاس بار بار چکر لگاتے رہتے ہو۔ اسی طرح اللہ آیتوں کو کھول کر بیان کرتا ہے اور اللہ بڑا جاننے والا، بڑا حکمت والا ہے۔

And when the children among you come to puberty then let them ask leave even as those before them used to ask it. Thus Allah maketh clear His revelations for you. Allah is Knower, Wise.

As for women past child-bearing, who have no hope of marriage, it is no sin for them if they discard their (outer) clothing in such a way as not to show adornment. But to refrain is better for them. Allah is Hearer, Knower.

لَّيْسَ عَلَى ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ حَرَجٌۭ وَلَا عَلَى ٱلْأَعْرَجِ حَرَجٌۭ وَلَا عَلَى ٱلْمَرِيضِ حَرَجٌۭ وَلَا عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَن تَأْكُلُوا۟ مِنۢ بُيُوتِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ ءَابَآئِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ أُمَّهَٰتِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ إِخْوَٰنِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ أَخَوَٰتِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ أَعْمَٰمِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ عَمَّٰتِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ أَخْوَٰلِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ خَٰلَٰتِكُمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكْتُم مَّفَاتِحَهُۥٓ أَوْ صَدِيقِكُمْ ۚ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَن تَأْكُلُوا۟ جَمِيعًا أَوْ أَشْتَاتًۭا ۚ فَإِذَا دَخَلْتُم بُيُوتًۭا فَسَلِّمُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ تَحِيَّةًۭ مِّنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ مُبَٰرَكَةًۭ طَيِّبَةًۭ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ

No blame is there upon the blind nor any blame upon the lame nor any blame upon the sick nor on yourselves if ye eat from your houses, or the houses of your fathers, or the houses of your mothers, or the houses of your brothers, or the houses of your sisters, or the houses of your fathers' brothers, or the houses of your fathers' sisters, or the houses of your mothers' brothers, or the houses of your mothers' sisters, or (from that) whereof ye hold the keys, or (from the house) of a friend. No sin shall it be for you whether ye eat together or apart. But when ye enter houses, salute one another with a greeting from Allah, blessed and sweet. Thus Allah maketh clear His revelations for you, that haply ye may understand.

Thus does God explain to you His revelations so that perhaps you will understand.

نابینا کے لئے کوئی حرج نہیں ہے اور لنگڑے آدمی کے لئے بھی کوئی حرج نہیں ہے اور مریض کے لئے بھی کوئی عیب نہیں ہے اور خود تمہارے لئے بھی کوئی گناہ نہیں ہے کہ اپنے گھروں سے یا اپنے باپ دادا کے گھروں سے یا اپنی ماں اور نانی دادی کے گھروں سے یا اپنے بھائیوں کے گھروں سے یا اپنی بہنوں کے گھروں سے یا اپنے چچاؤں کے گھروں سے یا اپنی پھوپھیوں کے گھروں سے یا اپنے ماموؤں کے گھروں سے یا اپنی خالاؤں کے گھروں سے یا جن گھروں کی کنجیاں تمہارے اختیار میں ہیں یا اپنے دوستوں کے گھروں سے کھانا کھالو .... اور تمہارے لئے اس میں بھی کوئی حرج نہیں ہے کہ سب مل کر کھاؤ یا متفرق طریقہ سے کھاؤ بس جب گھروں میں داخل ہو تو کم از کم اپنے ہی اوپر سلام کرلو کہ یہ پروردگار کی طرف سے نہایت ہی مبارک اور پاکیزہ تحفہ ہے اور پروردگار اسی طرح اپنی آیتوں کو واضح طریقہ سے بیان کرتا ہے کہ شاید تم عقل سے کام لے سکو

کوئی حرج نہیں اگر کوئی اندھا، یا لنگڑا، یا مریض (کسی کے گھر سے کھا لے) اور نہ تمہارے اوپر اِس میں کوئی مضائقہ ہے کہ اپنے گھروں سے کھاؤ یا اپنے باپ دادا کے گھروں سے، یا اپنی ماں نانی کے گھروں سے، یا اپنے بھائیوں کے گھروں سے، یا اپنی بہنوں کے گھروں سے، یا اپنے چچاؤں کے گھروں سے، یا اپنی پھوپھیوں کے گھروں سے، یا اپنے ماموؤں کے گھروں سے، یا اپنی خالاؤں کے گھروں سے، یا اُن گھروں سے جن کی کنجیاں تمہاری سپردگی میں ہوں، یا اپنے دوستوں کے گھروں سے اس میں بھی کوئی حرج نہیں کہ تم لوگ مل کر کھاؤ یا الگ الگ البتہ جب گھروں میں داخل ہوا کرو تو اپنے لوگوں کو سلام کیا کرو، دعا ئے خیر، اللہ کی طرف سے مقرر فر مائی ہوئی، بڑی بابرکت اور پاکیزہ اِس طرح اللہ تعالیٰ تمہارے سامنے آیات بیان کرتا ہے، توقع ہے کہ تم سمجھ بوجھ سے کام لو گے

نہ اندھے پر تنگی اور نہ لنگڑے پر مضائقہ اور نہ بیمار پر روک اور نہ تم میں کسی پر کہ کھاؤ اپنی اولاد کے گھر یا اپنے باپ کے گھر یا اپنی ماں کے گھر یا اپنے بھائیوں کے یہاں یا اپنی بہنوں کے گھر ے یا اپنے چچاؤں کے یہاں یا اپنی پھپیوں کے گھر یا اپنے ماموؤں کے یہاں یا اپنی خالاؤں کے گھر یا جہاں کی کنجیاں تمہارے قبضہ میں ہیں یا اپنے دوست کے یہاں تم پر کوئی الزام نہیں کہ مل کر کھاؤ یا الگ الگ پھر جب کسی گھر میں جاؤ تو اپنوں کو سلام کرو ملتے وقت کی اچھی دعا اللہ کے پاس سے مبارک پاکیزہ، اللہ یونہی بیان فرماتا ہے تم سے آیتیں کہ تمہیں سمجھ ہو،

اور اندھے کیلئے کوئی مضائقہ نہیں ہے اور نہ ہی لنگڑے کیلئے کوئی مضائقہ ہے اور نہ بیمار کیلئے اور نہ خود تمہارے لئے کوئی حرج ہے کہ تم اپنے گھروں سے کھاؤ۔ یا اپنے باپ دادا کے گھروں سے یا اپنی ماؤں کے گھروں سے یا اپنے بھائیوں یا اپنی بہنوں کے گھروں سے یا اپنے چچاؤں کے گھروں سے یا اپنی پھوپھیوں کے گھروں سے یا اپنے ماموؤں کے گھروں سے یا اپنی خالاؤں کے گھروں سے یا ان کے گھروں سے جن کی کنجیاں تمہارے اختیار میں ہیں یا اپنے دوستوں کے گھروں سے تمہارے لئے کوئی مضائقہ نہیں ہے کہ اکٹھے ہوکر کھاؤ۔ یا الگ الگ (ہاں البتہ) جب گھروں میں داخل ہونے لگو تو اپنے لوگوں کو سلام کر لیا کرو۔ یہ اللہ کی طرف سے پاکیزہ اور بابرکت ہدیہ ہے اللہ اسی طرح آیتیں کھول کر بیان کرتا ہے تاکہ تم عقل سے کام لو۔

إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَإِذَا كَانُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرٍۢ جَامِعٍۢ لَّمْ يَذْهَبُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يَسْتَـْٔذِنُوهُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْتَـْٔذِنُونَكَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ ۚ فَإِذَا ٱسْتَـْٔذَنُوكَ لِبَعْضِ شَأْنِهِمْ فَأْذَن لِّمَن شِئْتَ مِنْهُمْ وَٱسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمُ ٱللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ

They only are the true believers who believe in Allah and His messenger and, when they are with him on some common errand, go not away until they have asked leave of him. Lo! those who ask leave of thee, those are they who believe in Allah and His messenger. So, if they ask thy leave for some affair of theirs, give leave to whom thou wilt of them, and ask for them forgiveness of Allah. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

Indeed the faithful are those who have faith in Allah and His Apostle, and when they are with him in a collective affair, they do not leave until they have sought his permission. Indeed those who seek your permission are those who have faith in Allah and His Apostle. So when they seek your permission for some of theirs [private] work, give permission to whomever of them you wish and plead with Allah to forgive them. Indeed Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.

When they ask your leave to attend to their affairs, you may give permission to anyone of them you choose and ask forgiveness for them from God. God is All-forgiving and All-merciful.

Make not the calling of the messenger among you as your calling one of another. Allah knoweth those of you who steal away, hiding themselves. And let those who conspire to evade orders beware lest grief or painful punishment befall them.

Lo! verily unto Allah belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth. He knoweth your condition. And (He knoweth) the Day when they are returned unto Him so that He may inform them of what they did. Allah is Knower of all things.

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.

Because the process must be transparent, the entire website is available for you to download. You can go through the code, and if you can make any improvements to this process, you are most welcome to. It is a humble request to update me regarding the improvements so I can also update myself.

To be honest, I do not even know the names of many but I did learn from them. Some of these people were already dead by the time I read their input.

The Arabic text of the Quran was obtained from Tanzil. The additional translations were also obtained from Tanzil from this link.
