Hast thou not seen how Allah wafteth the clouds, then gathereth them, then maketh them layers, and thou seest the rain come forth from between them; He sendeth down from the heaven mountains wherein is hail, and smiteth therewith whom He will, and averteth it from whom He will. Have you not regarded that Allah drives the clouds, then He composes them, then He piles them up, whereat you see the rain issuing from its midst? And He sends down hail from the sky, out of the mountains that are in it, and He strikes with it whomever He wishes, and turns it away from whomever He wishes. کیا تم دیکھتے نہیں ہو کہ اللہ بادل کو آہستہ آہستہ چلاتا ہے، پھر اس کے ٹکڑوں کو باہم جوڑتا ہے، پھر اسے سمیٹ کر ایک کثیف ابر بنا دیتا ہے، پھر تم دیکھتے ہو کہ اس کے خول میں سے بارش کے قطرے ٹپکتے چلے آتے ہیں اور وہ آسمان سے، اُن پہاڑوں کی بدولت جو اس میں بلند ہیں، اولے برساتا ہے، پھر جسے چاہتا ہے ان کا نقصان پہنچاتا ہے اور جسے چاہتا ہے ان سے بچا لیتا ہے اُس کی بجلی کی چمک نگاہوں کو خیرہ کیے دیتی ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

کیا تو نے نہ دیکھا کہ اللہ نرم نرم چلاتا ہے بادل کو پھر انہیں آپس میں مِلاتا ہے پھر انہیں تہہ پر تہہ کردیتا ہے تو تُو دیکھے کہ اس کے بیچ میں سے مینہ نکلتا ہے اور اتارتا ہے آسمان سے اس میں جو برف کے پہاڑ ہیں ان میں سے کچھ اولے پھر ڈالنا ہے انہیں جس پر چاہے اور پھیردیتا ہے انہیں جس سے چاہے قریب ہے کہ اس کی بجلی کی چمک آنکھ لے جائے - Ahmed Raza

Verily We have sent down revelations and explained them. Allah guideth whom He will unto a straight path. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

The saying of (all true) believers when they appeal unto Allah and His messenger to judge between them is only that they say: We hear and we obey. And such are the successful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

All the response of the faithful, when they are summoned to Allah and His Apostle that He may judge between them, is to say, [We hear and obey.] It is they who are the felicitous. - Qarai, Ali Quli

They swear by Allah solemnly that, if thou order them, they will go forth. Say: Swear not; known obedience (is better). Lo! Allah is Informed of what ye do. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They swear by Allah with solemn oaths that if you order them they will surely march out. Say, [Do not swear! Honourable obedience [is all that is expected of you]. Allah is indeed well aware of what you do.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

They strongly swear by God that they would march to fight (for the cause of God) if you were to order them to. Tell them, [You do not need to swear; fighting for the cause of God is a virtuous deed and God is Well Aware of what you do]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And they swear by Allah with the most energetic of their oaths that if you command them they would certainly go forth. Say: Swear not; reasonable obedience (is desired); surely Allah is aware of what you do. - Shakir, Habib

اور انہوں نے اللہ کی قسم کھائی اپنے حلف میں حد کی کوشش سے کہ اگر تم انہیں حکم دو گے تو وہ ضرور جہاد کو نکلیں گے تم فرماؤ قسمیں نہ کھاؤ موافق شرع حکم برداری چاہیے، اللہ جانتا ہے جو تم کرتے ہو - Ahmed Raza

Say: Obey Allah and obey the messenger. But if ye turn away, then (it is) for him (to do) only that wherewith he hath been charged, and for you (to do) only that wherewith ye have been charged. If ye obey him, ye will go aright. But the messenger hath no other charge than to convey (the message) plainly. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

کہو، ——اللہ کے مطیع بنو اور رسولؐ کے تابع فرمان بن کر رہو لیکن اگر تم منہ پھیرتے ہو تو خوب سمجھ لو کہ رسولؐ پر جس فرض کا بار رکھا گیا ہے اُس کا ذمہ دار وہ ہے اور تم پر جس فرض کا بار ڈالا گیا ہے اُس کے ذمہ دار تم ہو اُس کی اطاعت کرو گے تو خود ہی ہدایت پاؤ گے ورنہ رسول کی ذمہ داری اس سے زیادہ کچھ نہیں ہے کہ صاف صاف حکم پہنچا دے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تم فرماؤ حکم مانو اللہ کا اور حکم مانو رسول کا پھر اگر تم منہ پھیرو تو رسول کے ذمہ وہی ہے جس اس پر لازم کیا گیا اور تم پر وہ ہے جس کا بوجھ تم پر رکھا گیا اور اگر رسول کی فرمانبرداری کرو گے راہ پاؤ گے، اور رسول کے ذمہ نہیں مگر صاف پہنچا دینا - Ahmed Raza

Allah hath promised such of you as believe and do good work that He will surely make them to succeed (the present rulers) in the earth even as He caused those who were before them to succeed (others); and that He will surely establish for them their religion which He hath approved for them, and will give them in exchange safety after their fear. They serve Me. They ascribe no thing as partner unto Me. Those who disbelieve henceforth, they are the miscreants. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Allah has promised those of you who have faith and do righteous deeds that He will surely make them successors in the earth, just as He made those who were before them successors, and He will surely establish for them their religion which He has approved for them, and that He will surely change their state to security after their fear, while they worship Me, not ascribing any partners to Me. Whoever is ungrateful after that—it is they who are the transgressors. - Qarai, Ali Quli

God has promised the righteously striving believers to appoint them as His deputies on earth, as He had appointed those who lived before. He will make the religion that He has chosen for them to stand supreme. He will replace their fear with peace and security so that they will worship God alone and consider no one equal to Him. Whoever becomes an unbeliever after this will be a sinful person. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Allah has promised to those of you who believe and do good that He will most certainly make them rulers in the earth as He made rulers those before them, and that He will most certainly establish for them their religion which He has chosen for them, and that He will most certainly, after their fear, give them security in exchange; they shall serve Me, not associating aught with Me; and whoever is ungrateful after this, these it is who are the. transgressors. - Shakir, Habib

He will cause their state of fear to be replaced by a sense of security. Let them worship Me and associate no other with Me. اللرُ نے تم میں سے صاحبان هایمان و عمل صالح سے وعدہ کیا ہے کہ انہیں روئے زمین میں اسی طرح اپنا خلیفہ بنائے گا جس طرح پہلے والوں کو بنایا ہے اور ان کے لئے اس دین کو غالب بنائے گا جسے ان کے لئے پسندیدہ قرار دیا ہے اور ان کے خوف کو امن سے تبدیل کردے گا کہ وہ سب صرف میری عبادت کریں گے اور کسی طرح کا شرک نہ کریں گے اور اس کے بعد بھی کوئی کافر ہوجائے تو درحقیقت وہی لوگ فاسق اور بدکردار ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اللہ نے وعدہ فرمایا ہے تم میں سے اُن لوگوں کے ساتھ جو ایمان لائیں اور نیک عمل کریں کہ وہ ان کو اُسی طرح زمین میں خلیفہ بنائے گا جس طرح اُن سے پہلے گزرے ہوئے لوگوں کو بنا چکا ہے، اُن کے لیے اُن کے اُس دین کو مضبوط بنیادوں پر قائم کر دے گا جسے اللہ تعالیٰ نے اُن کے حق میں پسند کیا ہے، اور اُن کی (موجودہ) حالت خوف کو امن سے بدل دے گا، بس وہ میری بندگی کریں اور میرے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہ کریں اور جو اس کے بعد کفر کرے تو ایسے ہی لوگ فاسق ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala
