بَلْ مَتَّعْنَا هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ وَءَابَآءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ طَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْعُمُرُ ۗ أَفَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّا نَأْتِى ٱلْأَرْضَ نَنقُصُهَا مِنْ أَطْرَافِهَآ ۚ أَفَهُمُ ٱلْغَٰلِبُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Nay, but We gave these and their fathers ease until life grew long for them. See they not how we aim to the land, reducing it of its outlying parts? Can they then be the victors? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Indeed, We have provided for them and their fathers until they lived on for long years. Do they not see how We visit the land diminishing it at its edges? Are they the ones who will prevail? - Qarai, Ali Quli

We have been providing these men and their fathers with the means of enjoyment for a long time. Have they not ever considered that We populated the earth and then caused many of the inhabitants to pass away? Can they have any success (in their wickedness)? - Sarwar, Muhammad

اصل بات یہ ہے کہ اِن لوگوں کو اور اِن کے آباء و اجداد کو ہم زندگی کا سر و سامان دیے چلے گئے یہاں تک کہ اِن کو دن لگ گئے مگر کیا اِنہیں نظر نہیں آتا کہ ہم زمین کو مختلف سمتوں سے گھٹاتے چلے آ رہے ہیں؟ پھر کیا یہ غالب آ جائیں گے؟ - Maududi, Abul A'ala

وَلَئِن مَّسَّتْهُمْ نَفْحَةٌۭ مِّنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ يَٰوَيْلَنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]
⦿
And if a breath of thy Lord's punishment were to touch them, they assuredly would say: Alas for us! Lo! we were wrong-doers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Should a whiff of your Lord]s punishment touch them, they will surely say, [Woe to us! We have indeed been wrongdoers!] - Qarai, Ali Quli

If a blast of the torment of your Lord strikes them, they will say, [Woe to us! We have been unjust people.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

And if a blast of the chastisement of your Lord were to touch them, they will certainly say: O woe to us! surely we were unjust. - Shakir, Habib

وَنَضَعُ ٱلْمَوَٰزِينَ ٱلْقِسْطَ لِيَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ فَلَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌۭ شَيْـًۭٔا ۖ وَإِن كَانَ مِثْقَالَ حَبَّةٍۢ مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍ أَتَيْنَا بِهَا ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِنَا حَٰسِبِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And We set a just balance for the Day of Resurrection so that no soul is wronged in aught. Though it be of the weight of a grain of mustard seed, We bring it. And We suffice for reckoners. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We shall set up just scales on the Day of Resurrection, and no soul will be wronged in the least. Even if it be the weight of a mustard seed We shall produce it and We suffice as reckoners. - Qarai, Ali Quli

We shall maintain proper justice on the Day of Judgment. No soul will be wronged the least. For a deed even as small as a mustard seed one will duly be recompensed. We are efficient in maintaining the account. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And for certain
ءَاتَيْنَا
We gave to
مُوسَىٰ
Moosa
وَهَٰرُونَ
and Haroon
ٱلْفُرْقَانَ
the Distinguisher,
وَضِيَآءًۭ
and an illumination,
وَذِكْرًۭا
and a remembrance
لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ
for the aware ones.
And for certain We gave to Moosa and Haroon the Distinguisher, and an illumination, and a remembrance for the aware ones.

And We verily gave Moses and Aaron the Criterion (of right and wrong) and a light and a Reminder for those who keep from evil, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And certainly
ءَاتَيْنَآ
We gave to
إِبْرَٰهِيمَ
Ibrahim
رُشْدَهُۥ
rationality
مِن
from
قَبْلُ
before,
وَكُنَّا
and We were
بِهِۦ
about him
عَٰلِمِينَ
knowledgeful.
And certainly We gave to Ibrahim rationality from before, and We were about him knowledgeful.

And We verily gave Abraham of old his proper course, and We were Aware of him, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Certainly We had given Abraham his probity before, and We knew him - Qarai, Ali Quli

To Abraham We gave the right guidance and We knew him very well. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And certainly We gave to Ibrahim his rectitude before, and We knew him fully well. - Shakir, Habib

اور ہم نے ابراہیم علیھ السّلامکو اس سے پہلے ہی عقل سلیم عطا کردی تھی اور ہم ان کی حالت سے باخبر تھے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور بیشک ہم نے ابراہیم کو پہلے ہی سے اس کی نیک راہ عطا کردی اور ہم اس سے خبردار تھے، - Ahmed Raza

When
قَالَ
he said
لِأَبِيهِ
to his father
وَقَوْمِهِۦ
and his nation,
مَا
[What
هَٰذِهِ
are these
ٱلتَّمَاثِيلُ
portrayals,
ٱلَّتِىٓ
which
أَنتُمْ
keep you
لَهَا
in them
عَٰكِفُونَ
occupied?]
When he said to his father and his nation, [What are these portrayals, which keep you in them occupied?]

When he said unto his father and his folk: What are these images unto which ye pay devotion? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

یاد کرو وہ موقع جبکہ اُس نے اپنے باپ اور اپنی قوم سے کہا تھا کہ ——یہ مورتیں کیسی ہیں جن کے تم لوگ گرویدہ ہو رہے ہو؟—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

جب اس نے اپنے باپ اور قوم سے کہا یہ مورتیں کیا ہیں جن کے آگے تم آسن مارے (پوجا کے لیے بیٹھے) ہو - Ahmed Raza

وَجَدْنَآ

They said, [We found our forefathers to it doing slavery.]

وَءَابَآؤُكُمْ
and your forefathers,

ضَلَٰلٍۢ
misguidance
مُّبِينٍۢ
clearly.]
He said, [For certain had been, you are still, and your forefathers, in misguidance clearly.]
