وَإِنِّى
And I am
لَغَفَّارٌۭ
for sure forgiving
لِّمَن
for who
تَابَ
returned (to Me)
وَءَامَنَ
and had conviction,
وَعَمِلَ
and worked
صَٰلِحًۭا
constructively,
ثُمَّ
then
ٱهْتَدَىٰ
remained guided.
And I am for sure forgiving for who returned (to Me) and had conviction, and worked constructively, then remained guided.
⦿
And lo! verily I am Forgiving toward him who repenteth and believeth and doeth good, and afterward walketh aright. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Indeed I forgive those who repent, become faithful, act righteously, and follow guidance.] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
I allowed you to consume the pure sustenance which We had given you but not to become rebels, lest you become subject to My wrath. Whoever becomes subject to My wrath will certainly be destroyed. I am All-forgiving to the righteously striving believers who repent and follow the right guidance. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And most surely I am most Forgiving to him who repents and believes and does good, then continues to follow the right direction. - Shakir, Habib

اور جو کوئی توبہ کرے اور ایمان لائے اور نیک عمل بجا لائے اور پھر راہِ راست پر قائم رہے تو میں اس کو بہت ہی بخشنے والا ہوں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And (it was said): What hath made thee hasten from thy folk, O Moses? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

[God said,] [O Moses, what has prompted you to hasten ahead of your people?] - Qarai, Ali Quli

The Lord asked, [Moses, what made you attend your appointment with Me before your people?] - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And what caused you to hasten from your people, O Musa? - Shakir, Habib
⦿
[When Moses was upon the Mount, God said,] [O Moses, why have you come with such haste from your people?] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور اے موسٰی تمہیں قوم کو چھوڑ کر جلدی آنے پر کس شے نے آمادہ کیا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور کیا چیز تمہیں اپنی قوم سے پہلے لے آئی موسیٰؑ؟ - Maududi, Abul A'ala

موسٰی نے عرض کی کہ وہ سب میرے پیچھے آرہے ہیں اور میں نے راہ هخیر میں اس لئے عجلت کی ہے کہ تو خوش ہوجائے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اُس نے عرض کیا —— وہ بس میرے پیچھے آ ہی رہے ہیں میں جلدی کر کے تیرے حضور آ گیا ہوں اے میرے رب، تاکہ تو مجھ سے خوش ہو جائے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

عرض کی کہ وہ یہ ہیں میرے پیچھے اور اے میرے رب تیری طرف میں جلدی کرکے حاضر ہوا کہ تو راضی ہو، - Ahmed Raza

ارشاد ہوا کہ ہم نے تمہارے بعد تمہاری قوم کا امتحان لیا اور سامری نے انہیں گمراہ کردیا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

فرمایا ——اچھا، تو سنو، ہم نے تمہارے پیچھے تمہاری قوم کو آزمائش میں ڈال دیا اور سامری نے انہیں گمراہ کر ڈالا—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

فَرَجَعَ مُوسَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ غَضْبَٰنَ أَسِفًۭا ۚ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ أَلَمْ يَعِدْكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ وَعْدًا حَسَنًا ۚ أَفَطَالَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْعَهْدُ أَمْ أَرَدتُّمْ أَن يَحِلَّ عَلَيْكُمْ غَضَبٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ فَأَخْلَفْتُم مَّوْعِدِى [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Then Moses went back unto his folk, angry and sad. He said: O my people! Hath not your Lord promised you a fair promise? Did the time appointed then appear too long for you, or did ye wish that wrath from your Lord should come upon you, that ye broke tryst with me? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Thereupon Moses returned to his people, indignant and grieved. He said, [O my people! Did your Lord not give you a true promise? Did the period [of my absence] seem too long to you? Or did you desire that your Lord]s wrath should descend on you and so you failed your tryst with me?] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Moses, sad and angry, returned to his people saying, [My people, did not the Lord make you a gracious promise? Why did you disregard your appointment with me? Was it because of the long time or did you want to become subject to the wrath of your Lord?] - Sarwar, Muhammad

So Musa returned to his people wrathful, sorrowing. Said he: O my people! did not your Lord promise you a goodly promise: did then the time seem long to you, or did you wish that displeasure from your Lord should be due to you, so that you broke (your) promise to me? - Shakir, Habib

Moses returned to his people in anger and great sorrow. He said, [My people, did your Lord not make you a handsome promise? Was my absence too long for you? Did you desire that your Lord's wrath should descend upon you, when you broke your promise to me?] - Wahiduddin Khan

یہ سن کر موسٰی اپنی قوم کی طرف محزون اور غصہّ میں بھرے ہوئے پلٹے اور کہا کہ اے قوم کیا تمہارے رب نے تم سے بہترین وعدہ نہیں کیا تھا اور کیا اس عہد میں کچھ زیادہ طول ہوگیا ہے یا تم نے یہی چاہا کہ تم پر پروردگار کا غضب وارد ہوجائے اس لئے تم نے میرے وعدہ کی مخالفت کی - Jawadi, Zeeshan

موسیٰؑ سخت غصّے اور رنج کی حالت میں اپنی قوم کی طرف پلٹا جا کر اُس نے کہا ——اے میری قوم کے لوگو، کیا تمہارے رب نے تم سے اچھے وعدے نہیں کیے تھے؟ کیا تمہیں دن لگ گئے ہیں؟ یا تم اپنے رب کا غضب ہی اپنے اوپر لانا چاہتے تھے کہ تم نے مجھ سے وعدہ خلافی کی؟—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تو موسیٰ اپنی قوم کی طرف پلٹا غصہ میں بھرا افسوس کرتا کہا اے میری قوم کیا تم سے تمہارے رب نے اچھا وعدہ نہ تھا کیا تم پر مدت لمبی گزری یا تم نے چاہا کہ تم پر تمہارے رب کا غضب اترے تو تم نے میرا وعدہ خلاف کیا - Ahmed Raza

پس موسیٰ غصہ میں افسوس کرتے ہوئے اپنی قوم کی طرف لوٹے (اور) کہا اے میری قوم! کیا تمہارے پروردگار نے تم سے بڑا اچھا وعدہ نہیں کیا تھا؟ تو کیا تم پر (وعدہ سے) زیادہ مدت گزر گئی؟ یا تم نے چاہا کہ تمہارے رب کا غضب تم پر نازل ہو؟ اس لئے تم نے مجھ سے وعدہ خلافی کی؟ - Najafi, Muhammad

قَالُوا۟ مَآ أَخْلَفْنَا مَوْعِدَكَ بِمَلْكِنَا وَلَٰكِنَّا حُمِّلْنَآ أَوْزَارًۭا مِّن زِينَةِ ٱلْقَوْمِ فَقَذَفْنَٰهَا فَكَذَٰلِكَ أَلْقَى ٱلسَّامِرِىُّ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

They said: We broke not tryst with thee of our own will, but we were laden with burdens of ornaments of the folk, then cast them (in the fire), for thus As-Samiri proposed. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They said, [We did not fail our tryst with you of our own accord, but we were laden with the weight of those people]s ornaments, and we cast them [into the fire] and so did the Samiri.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

They replied, [We did not go against our promise with you out of our own accord. We were forced to carry people's ornaments. We threw them away and so did the Samiri. - Sarwar, Muhammad

They said: We did not break (our) promise to you of our own accord, but we were made to bear the burdens of the ornaments of the people, then we made a casting of them, and thus did the Samiri suggest. - Shakir, Habib

They answered, [We did not break our promise to you of our own accord, but we had to carry loads of the people's ornaments and so we threw them [into the fire] for that was what the Samiri suggested,] - Wahiduddin Khan

قوم نے کہا کہ ہم نے اپنے اختیار سے آپ کے وعدہ کی مخالفت نہیں کی ہے بلکہ ہم پر قوم کے زیورات کا بوجھ لاد دیا گیا تھا تو ہم نے اسے آگ میں ڈال دیا اور اس طرح سامری نے بھی اپے زیورات کو ڈال دیا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

انہوں نے جواب دیا ——ہم نے آپ سے وعدہ خلافی کچھ اپنے اختیار سے نہیں کی، معاملہ یہ ہُوا کہ لوگوں کے زیورات کے بوجھ سے ہم لَد گئے تھے اور ہم نے بس اُن کو پھینک دیا تھا—— پھر اس طرح سامری نے بھی کچھ ڈالا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

بولے ہم نے آپ کا وعدہ اپنے اختیار سے خلاف نہ کیا لیکن ہم سے کچھ بوجھ اٹھوائے گئے اس قوم کے گہنے کے تو ہم نے انہیں ڈال دیا پھر اسی طرح سامری نے ڈالا - Ahmed Raza

قوم نے کہا کہ ہم نے اپنے اختیار سے تو آپ سے وعدہ خلافی نہیں کی (البتہ بات یوں ہوئی) کہ ہمیں اس جماعت کے زیورات جمع کرکے لانے پر آمادہ کیا گیا اور یہ سامری ایک (سنہرا) بچھڑا نکال کر لایا۔ جس سے گائے کی سی آواز نکلتی تھی۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

فَأَخْرَجَ لَهُمْ عِجْلًۭا جَسَدًۭا لَّهُۥ خُوَارٌۭ فَقَالُوا۟ هَٰذَآ إِلَٰهُكُمْ وَإِلَٰهُ مُوسَىٰ فَنَسِىَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Then he produced for them a calf, of saffron hue, which gave forth a lowing sound. And they cried: This is your god and the god of Moses, but he hath forgotten. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Then he produced for them a calf—a [lifeless] body with a low—and they said, This is your god and the god of Moses, so he forgot! - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
Then the Samiri forged the body of a motionless calf which gave out a hollow sound.] The people said, [This is your Lord and the Lord of Moses whom he (Moses) forgot to mention]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

So he brought forth for them a calf, a (mere) body, which had a mooing sound, so they said: This is your god and the god of Musa, but he forgot. - Shakir, Habib

then he forged a calf for them -- an image producing a lowing sound. They said, [This is your deity, the deity of Moses; he has forgotten it.] - Wahiduddin Khan

پھر سامری نے ان کے لئے ایک مجسمہ گائے کے بچے کا نکالا جس میں آواز بھی تھی اور کہا کہ یہی تمہارا اور موسٰی کا خدا ہے جس سے موسٰی غافل ہوکر اسے طور پر ڈھونڈنے چلے گئے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور ان کے لیے ایک بچھڑے کی مورت بنا کر نکال لایا جس میں سے بیل کی سی آواز نکلتی تھی لوگ پکار اٹھے ——یہی ہے تمہارا خدا اور موسیٰؑ کا خدا، موسیٰؑ اسے بھول گیا—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تو اس نے ان کے لیے ایک بچھڑا نکالا بے جان کا دھڑ گائے کی طرح بولتا یہ ہے تمہارا معبود اور موسیٰ کا معبود تو بھول گئے - Ahmed Raza

And Aaron indeed had told them beforehand: O my people! Ye are but being seduced therewith, for lo! your Lord is the Beneficent, so follow me and obey my order. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Aaron had certainly told them earlier, [O my people! You are only being tested by it. Indeed your Lord is the All-beneficent. So follow me and obey my command!] - Qarai, Ali Quli

موسٰی نے ہارون سے خطاب کرکے کہا کہ جب تم نے دیکھ لیا تھا کہ یہ قوم گمراہ ہوگئی ہے تو تمہیں کون سی بات آڑے آگئی تھی - Jawadi, Zeeshan
