وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِـَٔادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ أَبَىٰ

And when We said unto the angels: Fall prostrate before Adam, they fell prostrate (all) save Iblis; he refused.

فَقُلْنَا يَٰٓـَٔادَمُ إِنَّ هَٰذَا عَدُوٌّۭ لَّكَ وَلِزَوْجِكَ فَلَا يُخْرِجَنَّكُمَا مِنَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ فَتَشْقَىٰٓ

Therefor we said: O Adam! This is an enemy unto thee and unto thy wife, so let him not drive you both out of the Garden so that thou come to toil.

It is (vouchsafed) unto thee that thou hungerest not therein nor art naked,

فَوَسْوَسَ إِلَيْهِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ قَالَ يَٰٓـَٔادَمُ هَلْ أَدُلُّكَ عَلَىٰ شَجَرَةِ ٱلْخُلْدِ وَمُلْكٍۢ لَّا يَبْلَىٰ

But the devil whispered to him, saying: O Adam! Shall I show thee the tree of immortality and power that wasteth not away?

Then Satan tempted him. He said, [O Adam! Shall I show you the tree of immortality, and an imperishable kingdom?]

Then they twain ate thereof, so that their shame became apparent unto them, and they began to hide by heaping on themselves some of the leaves of the Garden. And Adam disobeyed his Lord, so went astray.

So they both ate of it, and their nakedness became evident to them, and they began to stitch over themselves with the leaves of paradise. Adam disobeyed his Lord, and went amiss.

آخرکار وہ دونوں (میاں بیوی) اُس درخت کا پھل کھا گئے نتیجہ یہ ہُوا کہ فوراً ہی ان کے ستر ایک دوسرے کے آگے کھُل گئے اور لگے دونوں اپنے آپ کو جنّت کے پتّوں سے ڈھانکنے آدمؑ نے اپنے رب کی نافرمانی کی اور راہِ راست سے بھٹک گیا

تو ان دونوں نے اس میں سے کھالیا اب ان پر ان کی شرم کی چیزیں ظاہر ہوئیں اور جنت کے پتے اپنے اوپر چپکانے لگے اور آدم سے اپنے رب کے حکم میں لغزش واقع ہوئی تو جو مطلب چاہا تھا اس کی راہ نہ پائی

He said: Go down hence, both of you, one of you a foe unto the other. But when there come unto you from Me a guidance, then whoso followeth My guidance, he will not go astray nor come to grief.

But he who turneth away from remembrance of Me, his will be a narrow life, and I shall bring him blind to the assembly on the Day of Resurrection.

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.

Because the process must be transparent, the entire website is available for you to download. You can go through the code, and if you can make any improvements to this process, you are most welcome to. It is a humble request to update me regarding the improvements so I can also update myself.
