And when We said unto the angels: Fall prostrate before Adam, they fell prostrate (all) save Iblis; he refused. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Therefor we said: O Adam! This is an enemy unto thee and unto thy wife, so let him not drive you both out of the Garden so that thou come to toil. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

فَوَسْوَسَ إِلَيْهِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ قَالَ يَٰٓـَٔادَمُ هَلْ أَدُلُّكَ عَلَىٰ شَجَرَةِ ٱلْخُلْدِ وَمُلْكٍۢ لَّا يَبْلَىٰ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

But the devil whispered to him, saying: O Adam! Shall I show thee the tree of immortality and power that wasteth not away? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Then Satan tempted him. He said, [O Adam! Shall I show you the tree of immortality, and an imperishable kingdom?] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Satan, trying to seduce him, said, [Adam, do you want me to show you the Tree of Eternity and the Everlasting Kingdom?] - Sarwar, Muhammad

But the Shaitan made an evil suggestion to him; he said: O Adam! Shall I guide you to the tree of immortality and a kingdom which decays not? - Shakir, Habib

But Satan whispered evil to him, saying, [Adam, shall I lead you to the tree of immortality and to a kingdom that never declines?] - Wahiduddin Khan

Then they twain ate thereof, so that their shame became apparent unto them, and they began to hide by heaping on themselves some of the leaves of the Garden. And Adam disobeyed his Lord, so went astray. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

So they both ate of it, and their nakedness became evident to them, and they began to stitch over themselves with the leaves of paradise. Adam disobeyed his Lord, and went amiss. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Adam and his wife ate (fruits) from the tree and found themselves naked. Then they started to cover themselves with the leaves from the garden. Adam disobeyed his Lord and went astray. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Then they both ate of it, so their evil inclinations became manifest to them, and they both began to cover themselves with leaves of the garden, and Adam disobeyed his Lord, so his life became evil (to him). - Shakir, Habib

آخرکار وہ دونوں (میاں بیوی) اُس درخت کا پھل کھا گئے نتیجہ یہ ہُوا کہ فوراً ہی ان کے ستر ایک دوسرے کے آگے کھُل گئے اور لگے دونوں اپنے آپ کو جنّت کے پتّوں سے ڈھانکنے آدمؑ نے اپنے رب کی نافرمانی کی اور راہِ راست سے بھٹک گیا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تو ان دونوں نے اس میں سے کھالیا اب ان پر ان کی شرم کی چیزیں ظاہر ہوئیں اور جنت کے پتے اپنے اوپر چپکانے لگے اور آدم سے اپنے رب کے حکم میں لغزش واقع ہوئی تو جو مطلب چاہا تھا اس کی راہ نہ پائی - Ahmed Raza

He said: Go down hence, both of you, one of you a foe unto the other. But when there come unto you from Me a guidance, then whoso followeth My guidance, he will not go astray nor come to grief. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

He said, [Get down both of you from it, all together, being enemies of one another! Yet, should any guidance come to you from Me, those who follow My guidance will not go astray, nor will they be miserable. - Qarai, Ali Quli
