وَءَامِنُوا۟
And be at peace
بِمَآ
with what
أَنزَلْتُ
has descended
مُصَدِّقًۭا
— (an instrument of) authentication of
لِّمَا
that (knowledge, laws, history, man-made-scriptures) which
مَعَكُمْ
is with you —
وَلَا
and do not
تَكُونُوٓا۟
become
أَوَّلَ
first
كَافِرٍۭ
denier
بِهِۦ
about it.
ۖ
وَلَا
And do not
تَشْتَرُوا۟
trade
بِـَٔايَٰتِى
with My signs
ثَمَنًۭا
a price
قَلِيلًۭا
that is little,
وَإِيَّٰىَ
and only Me
فَٱتَّقُونِ
should you be afraid of.
٢
٤١
وَءَامِنُوا۟ بِمَآ أَنزَلْتُ مُصَدِّقًۭا لِّمَا مَعَكُمْ وَلَا تَكُونُوٓا۟ أَوَّلَ كَافِرٍۭ بِهِۦ ۖ وَلَا تَشْتَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِى ثَمَنًۭا قَلِيلًۭا وَإِيَّٰىَ فَٱتَّقُونِ And be at peace with what has descended — (an instrument of) authentication of that (knowledge, laws, history, man-made-scriptures) which is with you — and do not become first denier about it. And do not trade with My signs a price that is little, and only Me should you be afraid of.

And believe in that which I reveal, confirming that which ye possess already (of the Scripture), and be not first to disbelieve therein, and part not with My revelations for a trifling price, and keep your duty unto Me. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And believe in that which I have sent down confirming that which is with you, and do not be the first ones to deny it, and do not sell My signs for a paltry gain, and be wary of Me [alone]. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Believe in My revelations (Quran) that confirms what I revealed to you (about Prophet Muhammad in your Scripture). Do not be the first ones to deny it nor sell My revelations for a small price, but have fear of Me. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And believe in what I have revealed, verifying that which is with you, and be not the first to deny it, neither take a mean price in exchange for My communications; and Me, Me alone should you fear. - Shakir, Habib

And believe in the message I have sent down which fulfils that [predictions about the last prophet in their Scripture] which you already possess and do not be foremost among those who deny its truth. Do not sell My revelations for a paltry price; fear Me alone. - Wahiduddin Khan

ہم نے جو قرآن تمہاری توریت کی تصدیق کے لئے بھیجا ہے اس پر ایمان لے آؤ اور سب سے پہلے کافر نہ بن جاؤ ہماری آیتوں کو معمولی قیمت پر نہ بیچو اور ہم سے ڈرتے رہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور میں نے جو کتاب بھیجی ہے اس پر ایمان لاؤ یہ اُس کتاب کی تائید میں ہے جو تمہارے پاس پہلے سے موجود تھی، لہٰذا سب سے پہلے تم ہی اس کے منکر نہ بن جاؤ تھوڑی قیمت پر میری آیات کو نہ بیچ ڈالو او ر میرے غضب سے بچو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ایمان لاؤ اس پر جو میں نے اتارا اس کی تصدیق کرتا ہوا جو تمہارے ساتھ ہے اور سب سے پہلے اس کے منکر نہ بنو اور میری آیتوں کے بدلے تھوڑے دام نہ لو اور مجھی سے ڈرو - - Ahmed Raza

اور اس کتاب (قرآن) پر ایمان لاؤ جو میں نے (اب) نازل کی ہے۔ جو اس (توراۃ) کی تصدیق کرتی ہے جو تمہارے پاس ہے اور تم اس کے اولین منکر نہ بنو اور آیتوں کو (ان میں تحریف کرکے) تھوڑی قیمت (دنیوی مفاد) پر فروخت نہ کرو۔ اور مجھ ہی سے (میری نافرمانی سے) ڈرو۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَلَا
And do not
تَلْبِسُوا۟
dress up
ٱلْحَقَّ
the fact
بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ
with fiction,
وَتَكْتُمُوا۟
and do not hide
ٱلْحَقَّ
the truth
وَأَنتُمْ
while you
تَعْلَمُونَ
are in knowledge of it.
And do not dress up the fact with fiction, and do not hide the truth while you are in knowledge of it.

Confound not truth with falsehood, nor knowingly conceal the truth. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
the order (united discipline)
وَءَاتُوا۟
and bring forth
ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
the emancipation,
وَٱرْكَعُوا۟
and accept as authority (Creator's command)
مَعَ
with
ٱلرَّٰكِعِينَ
the ones who have accepted as authority the Creator's command (i.e. all the matter in the Universe, the Sun, the Moon, the stars, the Earth, the Nature, in fact every atom in the entire Universe).
And establish the order (united discipline) and bring forth the emancipation, and accept as authority (Creator's command) with the ones who have accepted as authority the Creator's command (i.e. all the matter in the Universe, the Sun, the Moon, the stars, the Earth, the Nature, in fact every atom in the entire Universe).

Establish worship, pay the poor-due, and bow your heads with those who bow (in worship). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And maintain the prayer, and give the zakat, and bow along with those who bow [in prayer]. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Be steadfast in prayer, pay the religious tax (zakat) and bow down in worship with those who do the same. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and bow down with those who bow down. - Shakir, Habib

Do you command
ٱلنَّاسَ
the populace
بِٱلْبِرِّ
with righteousness,
وَتَنسَوْنَ
and you forget
أَنفُسَكُمْ
your own selves,
وَأَنتُمْ
even while you
تَتْلُونَ
are reading
ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
the Book?
ۚ
أَفَلَا
Then why don't
تَعْقِلُونَ
you understand?
٢
٤٤
أَتَأْمُرُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ بِٱلْبِرِّ وَتَنسَوْنَ أَنفُسَكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ تَتْلُونَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ Do you command the populace with righteousness, and you forget your own selves, even while you are reading the Book? Then why don't you understand?
⦿
Enjoin ye righteousness upon mankind while ye yourselves forget (to practise it)? And ye are readers of the Scripture! Have ye then no sense? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Will you bid others to piety and forget yourselves, while you recite the Book? Do you not exercise your reason? - Qarai, Ali Quli

Would you order people to do good deeds and forget to do them yourselves even though you read the Book? Why do you not think? - Sarwar, Muhammad

What! do you enjoin men to be good and neglect your own souls while you read the Book; have you then no sense? - Shakir, Habib

وَٱسْتَعِينُوا۟
And seek help
بِٱلصَّبْرِ
with perseverance
وَٱلصَّلَوٰةِ
and the disciplined unity,
ۚ
وَإِنَّهَا
and that is certainly
لَكَبِيرَةٌ
a big thing to do
إِلَّا
except
عَلَى
upon
ٱلْخَٰشِعِينَ
the humble ones.
And seek help with perseverance and the disciplined unity, and that is certainly a big thing to do except upon the humble ones.

Seek help in patience and prayer; and truly it is hard save for the humble-minded, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And take recourse in patience and prayer, and it is indeed hard except for the humble - Qarai, Ali Quli

Help yourselves (in your affairs) with patience and prayer. It is a difficult task indeed, but not for the humble ones - Sarwar, Muhammad

ٱلَّذِينَ
The ones who
يَظُنُّونَ
keep in mind
أَنَّهُم
that they
مُّلَٰقُوا۟
will meet
رَبِّهِمْ
their Rabb (their Maker),
وَأَنَّهُمْ
and that they
إِلَيْهِ
to Him
رَٰجِعُونَ
will be returning.
The ones who keep in mind that they will meet their Rabb (their Maker), and that they to Him will be returning.
⦿
Who know that they will have to meet their Lord, and that unto Him they are returning. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

—those who are certain that they will encounter their Lord and that they will return to Him. - Qarai, Ali Quli

O bani
إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
Israel!
ٱذْكُرُوا۟
Continuously remember
نِعْمَتِىَ
My blessings
ٱلَّتِىٓ
which
أَنْعَمْتُ
have been blessed
عَلَيْكُمْ
upon you,
وَأَنِّى
and that I
فَضَّلْتُكُمْ
have favoured you
عَلَى
over
ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
all the states of being.
٢
٤٧
يَٰبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتِىَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَأَنِّى فَضَّلْتُكُمْ عَلَى ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ O bani Israel! Continuously remember My blessings which have been blessed upon you, and that I have favoured you over all the states of being.

O Children of Israel! Remember My favour wherewith I favoured you and how I preferred you to (all) creatures. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

O Children of Israel, remember My blessing which I bestowed upon you, and that I gave you an advantage over all the nations. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Children of Israel, recall My favors to you and the preference that I gave to you over all nations. - Sarwar, Muhammad

O children of Israel! call to mind My favor which I bestowed on you and that I made you excel the nations. - Shakir, Habib

Children of Israel, remember My blessing which I have bestowed on you, and how I favoured you above all other people. - Wahiduddin Khan

اے بنی اسرائیل! ہماری ان نعمتوں کویاد کرو جو ہم نے تمہیں عنایت کی ہیں اور ہم نے تمہیں عالمین سے بہتر بنایا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

And be aware of
يَوْمًۭا
a day when
لَّا
not
تَجْزِى
will avail
نَفْسٌ
a psyche
عَن
from
نَّفْسٍۢ
another psyche
شَيْـًۭٔا
anything,
وَلَا
and will not be
يُقْبَلُ
accepted
مِنْهَا
from it
شَفَٰعَةٌۭ
an intercession,
وَلَا
and not will be
يُؤْخَذُ
taken
مِنْهَا
from it
عَدْلٌۭ
compensation,
وَلَا
and not
هُمْ
they
يُنصَرُونَ
will be winners.
٢
٤٨
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ يَوْمًۭا لَّا تَجْزِى نَفْسٌ عَن نَّفْسٍۢ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهَا شَفَٰعَةٌۭ وَلَا يُؤْخَذُ مِنْهَا عَدْلٌۭ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ And be aware of a day when not will avail a psyche from another psyche anything, and will not be accepted from it an intercession, and not will be taken from it compensation, and not they will be winners.
⦿
And guard yourselves against a day when no soul will in aught avail another, nor will intercession be accepted from it, nor will compensation be received from it, nor will they be helped. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Beware of the day when no soul will compensate for another, neither any intercession shall be accepted from it, nor any ransom shall be received from it, nor will they be helped. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
Have fear of the day when every soul will be responsible for itself. No intercession or ransom will be accepted and no one will receive help. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And be on your guard against a day when one soul shall not avail another in the least, neither shall intercession on its behalf be accepted, nor shall any compensation be taken from it, nor shall they be helped. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
Guard yourselves against the Day on which no soul shall in the least avail another, when neither intercession nor ransom shall be accepted from it nor shall help be given to it. - Wahiduddin Khan

اس دن سے ڈرو جس دن کوئی کسی کابدل نہ بن سکے گا اور کسی کی سفارش قبول نہ ہوگی. نہ کوئی معاوضہ لیا جائے گا اور نہ کسی کی مدد کی جائے گی - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور ڈرو اُس دن سے جب کوئی کسی کے ذرا کام نہ آئے گا، نہ کسی کی طرف سے سفارش قبول ہوگی، نہ کسی کو فدیہ لے کر چھوڑا جائے گا، اور نہ مجرموں کو کہیں سے مدد مل سکے گی - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ڈرو اس دن سے جس دن کوئی جان دوسرے کا بدلہ نہ ہوسکے گی اور نہ (کافر کے لئے) کوئی سفارش مانی جائے اور نہ کچھ لے کر (اس کی) جان چھوڑی جائے اور نہ ان کی مدد ہو- - Ahmed Raza

اور اس دن (قیامت) سے ڈرو جب کوئی کسی کو فائدہ نہیں پہنچا سکے گا اور نہ ہی کسی کی طرف سے کوئی سفارش قبول ہوگی۔ اور نہ کسی سے کوئی معاوضہ لیا جائے گا۔ اور نہ ان کی کوئی مدد کی جائے گی۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَإِذْ
And (remember) when
نَجَّيْنَٰكُم
We saved you all
مِّنْ
from
ءَالِ
people of
فِرْعَوْنَ
Fir'oun
يَسُومُونَكُمْ
who inflicted on you
سُوٓءَ
worst of
ٱلْعَذَابِ
the torture:
يُذَبِّحُونَ
he was doing away with
أَبْنَآءَكُمْ
your able people
وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ
and was shaming
نِسَآءَكُمْ
your disabled people,
ۚ
وَفِى
and in
ذَٰلِكُم
that for you was
بَلَآءٌۭ
a test
مِّن
from
رَّبِّكُمْ
your Rabb
عَظِيمٌۭ
of great magnitude.
٢
٤٩
وَإِذْ نَجَّيْنَٰكُم مِّنْ ءَالِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوٓءَ ٱلْعَذَابِ يُذَبِّحُونَ أَبْنَآءَكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَآءَكُمْ ۚ وَفِى ذَٰلِكُم بَلَآءٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌۭ And (remember) when We saved you all from people of Fir'oun who inflicted on you worst of the torture: he was doing away with your able people and was shaming your disabled people, and in that for you was a test from your Rabb of great magnitude.

And (remember) when We did deliver you from Pharaoh's folk, who were afflicting you with dreadful torment, slaying your sons and sparing your women: that was a tremendous trial from your Lord. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

[Remember] when We delivered you from Pharaoh]s clan who inflicted a terrible torment on you, and slaughtered your sons and spared your women, and in that there was a great test from your Lord. - Qarai, Ali Quli

یاد کرو وہ وقت، جب ہم نے تم کو فرعونیوں کی غلامی سے نجات بخشی اُنہوں نے تمہیں سخت عذاب میں مبتلا کر رکھا تھا، تمہارے لڑکوں کو ذبح کرتے تھے اور تمہاری لڑکیوں کو زندہ رہنے دیتے تھے اور اس حالت میں تمہارے رب کی طرف سے تمہاری بڑی آزمائش تھی - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور (یاد کرو) جب ہم نے تم کو فرعون والوں سے نجات بخشی کہ وہ تم پر برا عذاب کرتے تھے تمہارے بیٹوں کو ذبح کرتے اور تمہاری بیٹیوں کو زندہ رکھتے اور اس میں تمہارے رب کی طرف سے بڑی بلا تھی (یا بڑا انعام) - Ahmed Raza

اور (وہ وقت یاد کرو) جب ہم نے تمہیں فرعونیوں سے نجات دی تھی۔ جو تمہیں بدترین عذاب کا مزہ چکھاتے تھے (یعنی) تمہارے لڑکوں کو قتل کر ڈالتے تھے اور تمہاری عورتوں (بیٹیوں) کو (اپنی خدمت گزاری کے لئے) زندہ رہنے دیتے تھے اور اس میں تمہارے پروردگار کی بڑی سخت آزمائش تھی۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

and We drowned

the people of
فِرْعَوْنَ
Fir'oun
وَأَنتُمْ
while you
تَنظُرُونَ
were watching.

وَإِذْ فَرَقْنَا بِكُمُ ٱلْبَحْرَ فَأَنجَيْنَٰكُمْ وَأَغْرَقْنَآ ءَالَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَأَنتُمْ تَنظُرُونَ And when We parted through you the deep trenched crises, then We saved you and We drowned the people of Fir'oun while you were watching.

And when We brought you through the sea and rescued you, and drowned the folk of Pharaoh in your sight. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

وَٰعَدْنَا
We promised
مُوسَىٰٓ
Moosa

لَيْلَةًۭ
nights,
ثُمَّ
but
ٱتَّخَذْتُمُ
you adopted
ٱلْعِجْلَ
the new idea (the calf)
مِنۢ
from
بَعْدِهِۦ
behind his back,
وَأَنتُمْ
while you were
ظَٰلِمُونَ
being ignorant.

٥١
وَإِذْ وَٰعَدْنَا مُوسَىٰٓ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةًۭ ثُمَّ ٱتَّخَذْتُمُ ٱلْعِجْلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ وَأَنتُمْ ظَٰلِمُونَ And when We promised Moosa forty nights, but you adopted the new idea (the calf) from behind his back, while you were being ignorant.

And when We did appoint for Moses forty nights (of solitude), and then ye chose the calf, when he had gone from you, and were wrong-doers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And when We made an appointment with Moses for forty nights, you took up the Calf [for worship] in his absence, and you were wrongdoers. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Then We called Moses for an appointment of forty nights. You began to worship the calf in his absence, doing wrong to yourselves. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when We appointed a time of forty nights with Musa, then you took the calf (for a god) after him and you were unjust. - Shakir, Habib

We appointed for Moses forty nights [on Mount Sinai], and in his absence you took to worshipping the calf, and thus became transgressors. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور ہم نے موسٰی علیھ السّلام سے چالیس راتوں کا وعدہ لیا تو تم نے ان کے بعد گو سالہ تیار کرلیا کہ تم بڑے ظالم ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یاد کرو، جب ہم نے موسیٰؑ کو چالیس شبانہ روز کی قرارداد پر بلایا، تو اس کے پیچھے تم بچھڑے کو اپنا معبود بنا بیٹھے اُس وقت تم نے بڑی زیادتی کی تھی - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جب ہم نے موسیٰ سے چالیس رات کا وعدہ فرمایا پھر اس کے پیچھے تم نے بچھڑے کی پوجا شروع کردی اور تم ظالم تھے - - Ahmed Raza

اور (وہ وقت یاد کرو) جب ہم نے موسیٰ سے (توراۃ دینے کے لئے) چالیس راتوں کا وعدہ کیا تھا پھر تم نے ان کے بعد گو سالہ (بچھڑے) کو (معبود) بنا لیا۔ جبکہ تم ظالم تھے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
