Lo! (the mountains) As-Safa and Al-Marwah are among the indications of Allah. It is therefore no sin for him who is on pilgrimage to the House (of Allah) or visiteth it, to go around them (as the pagan custom is). And he who doeth good of his own accord, (for him) lo! Allah is Responsive, Aware. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Indeed Safa and Marwah are among Allah]s sacraments. So whoever makes hajj to the House, or performs the [umrah, there is no sin upon him to circuit between them. Should anyone do good of his own accord, then Allah is indeed appreciative, all-knowing. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Safa and Marwah (names of two places in Mecca) are reminders of God. It is no sin for one who visits the Sacred House (in Mecca) to walk seven times between (Safa and Marwah.) Surely the Safa and the Marwa are among the signs appointed by Allah; so whoever makes a pilgrimage to the House or pays a visit (to it), there is no blame on him if he goes round them both; and whoever does good spontaneously, then surely Allah is Grateful, Knowing. - Shakir, Habib

We have alighted

ٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ
the clarifications
وَٱلْهُدَىٰ
and the guidance,
مِنۢ
from
بَعْدِ
after
مَا
what
بَيَّنَّٰهُ
it clarifies
لِلنَّاسِ
for the people
فِى
in
ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
the Book,
ۙ
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
those are the ones
يَلْعَنُهُمُ
whom condemns
ٱللَّهُ
the One,
وَيَلْعَنُهُمُ
and they are cursed at by
ٱللَّٰعِنُونَ
the ones who curse.
٢
١٥٩
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَكْتُمُونَ مَآ أَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ وَٱلْهُدَىٰ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا بَيَّنَّٰهُ لِلنَّاسِ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ ۙ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يَلْعَنُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَيَلْعَنُهُمُ ٱللَّٰعِنُونَ Surely the ones who conceal what We have alighted of the clarifications and the guidance, from after what it clarifies for the people in the Book, those are the ones whom condemns the One, and they are cursed at by the ones who curse.

Lo! Those who hide the proofs and the guidance which We revealed, after We had made it clear to mankind in the Scripture: such are accursed of Allah and accursed of those who have the power to curse. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Indeed those who conceal what We have sent down of manifest proofs and guidance, after We have clarified it in the Book for mankind—they shall be cursed by Allah and cursed by the cursers, - Qarai, Ali Quli

Those who hide the authoritative proofs and the guidance that We have revealed, after it has been made clear for the People of the Book, will be condemned by God and those who have the right to condemn. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Except for
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
تَابُوا۟
repent
وَأَصْلَحُوا۟
and take corrective measures
وَبَيَّنُوا۟
and become distinct (from the condemned),
فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
thus those are whom
أَتُوبُ
I have forgiveness
عَلَيْهِمْ
upon;
ۚ
وَأَنَا
and I am
ٱلتَّوَّابُ
the Forgiver,
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
the Gracious.
٢
١٦٠
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ تَابُوا۟ وَأَصْلَحُوا۟ وَبَيَّنُوا۟ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَتُوبُ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ وَأَنَا ٱلتَّوَّابُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ Except for those who repent and take corrective measures and become distinct (from the condemned), thus those are whom I have forgiveness upon; and I am the Forgiver, the Gracious.

Except those who repent and amend and make manifest (the truth). These it is toward whom I relent. I am the Relenting, the Merciful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

except such as repent, make amends, and clarify—those I shall pardon, and I am the All-clement, the All-merciful. - Qarai, Ali Quli

However, I shall accept the repentance of those of them who repent for their sins, reform their manners, and preach the truth; I am All-forgiving and All-merciful. - Sarwar, Muhammad

البتہ جو اس روش سے باز آ جائیں اور اپنے طرز عمل کی اصلاح کر لیں اور جو کچھ چھپاتے تھے، اُسے بیان کرنے لگیں، اُن کو میں معاف کر دوں گا اور میں بڑا در گزر کرنے والا اور رحم کرنے والا ہوں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

Surely
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
كَفَرُوا۟
are in denial
وَمَاتُوا۟
— and die
وَهُمْ
while they were
كُفَّارٌ
in denial —
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
those are
عَلَيْهِمْ
upon whom is
لَعْنَةُ
damnation of
ٱللَّهِ
the One
وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ
and the malaikati,
وَٱلنَّاسِ
and the people
أَجْمَعِينَ
all together.

١٦١
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَمَاتُوا۟ وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ لَعْنَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ Surely the ones who are in denial — and die while they were in denial — those are upon whom is damnation of the One and the malaikati, and the people all together.

Lo! Those who disbelieve, and die while they are disbelievers; on them is the curse of Allah and of angels and of men combined. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Immortalized
فِيهَا
therein (in damnation);
ۖ
لَا
not
يُخَفَّفُ
will be decreased
عَنْهُمُ
on them
ٱلْعَذَابُ
the punishment,
وَلَا
and not
هُمْ
they
يُنظَرُونَ
will be looked upon.
Immortalized therein (in damnation); not will be decreased on them the punishment, and not they will be looked upon.

They ever dwell therein. The doom will not be lightened for them, neither will they be reprieved. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They will remain in it [forever] and their punishment shall not be lightened, nor will they be granted any respite. - Qarai, Ali Quli

They will live condemned forever, will have no relief from the torment, and no attention will be paid to them. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Abiding in it; their chastisement shall not be lightened nor shall they be given respite. - Shakir, Habib

وہ اسی لعنت میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے کہ نہ ان کے عذاب میں تخفیف ہوگی اور نہ انہیں مہلت دی جائے گی - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اسی لعنت زدگی کی حالت میں وہ ہمیشہ رہیں گے، نہ اُن کی سز امیں تخفیف ہوگی اور نہ انہیں پھر کوئی دوسری مہلت دی جائے گی - Maududi, Abul A'ala

ہمیشہ رہیں گے اس میں نہ ان پر سے عذاب ہلکا ہو اور نہ انہیں مہلت دی جائے، - Ahmed Raza

And your unchallenged master is
إِلَٰهٌۭ
an unchallenged master
وَٰحِدٌۭ
singularly;

لَّآ

إِلَٰهَ
unchallenged master
إِلَّا
except
هُوَ
He who is
ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ
the Provider,
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
the Merciful.
And your unchallenged master is an unchallenged master singularly; no unchallenged master except He who is the Provider, the Merciful.

Your Allah is One Allah; there is no Allah save Him, the Beneficent, the Merciful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

إِنَّ
Surely
فِى
within
خَلْقِ
creation of
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the atmospheres
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
and the Earth,
وَٱخْتِلَٰفِ
and in succession of
ٱلَّيْلِ
the night
وَٱلنَّهَارِ
and the day-burst,
وَٱلْفُلْكِ
and the ships
ٱلَّتِى
which
تَجْرِى
flow
فِى
in
ٱلْبَحْرِ
the sea
بِمَا
with that which
يَنفَعُ
benefits
ٱلنَّاسَ
the people;
وَمَآ
and what
أَنزَلَ
sent down
ٱللَّهُ
the One
مِنَ
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
the atmosphere
مِن
of
مَّآءٍۢ
basic essence;
فَأَحْيَا
then gives life
بِهِ
with it to
ٱلْأَرْضَ
the land
بَعْدَ
after
مَوْتِهَا
its death;
وَبَثَّ
and scattered
فِيهَا
in it
مِن
from
كُلِّ
all
دَآبَّةٍۢ
kinds of creatures;
وَتَصْرِيفِ
and the turning of
ٱلرِّيَٰحِ
the wind,
وَٱلسَّحَابِ
and the clouds
ٱلْمُسَخَّرِ
controlled
بَيْنَ
between
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
the sky
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
and the Earth
لَـَٔايَٰتٍۢ
for sure are signs
لِّقَوْمٍۢ
for a people
يَعْقِلُونَ
who use their intelligence.

١٦٤
إِنَّ فِى خَلْقِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱخْتِلَٰفِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلَّتِى تَجْرِى فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ بِمَا يَنفَعُ ٱلنَّاسَ وَمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مِن مَّآءٍۢ فَأَحْيَا بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ دَآبَّةٍۢ وَتَصْرِيفِ ٱلرِّيَٰحِ وَٱلسَّحَابِ ٱلْمُسَخَّرِ بَيْنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ لَـَٔايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَعْقِلُونَ Surely within creation of the atmospheres and the Earth, and in succession of the night and the day-burst, and the ships which flow in the sea with that which benefits the people; and what sent down the One from the atmosphere of basic essence; then gives life with it to the land after its death; and scattered in it from all kinds of creatures; and the turning of the wind, and the clouds controlled between the sky and the Earth for sure are signs for a people who use their intelligence.

Lo! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of night and day, and the ships which run upon the sea with that which is of use to men, and the water which Allah sendeth down from the sky, thereby reviving the earth after its death, and dispersing all kinds of beasts therein, and (in) the ordinance of the winds, and the clouds obedient between heaven and earth: are signs (of Allah's Sovereignty) for people who have sense. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Indeed in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of night and day, and the ships that sail at sea with profit to men, and the water that Allah sends down from the sky—with which He revives the earth after its death, and scatters therein every kind of animal—and the changing of the winds, and the clouds disposed between the sky and the earth, there are surely signs for a people who exercise their reason. - Qarai, Ali Quli

The creation of the heavens and the earth, the alternation of nights and days, the ships that sail in the sea for the benefit of the people, the water that God sends from the sky to revive the dead earth where He has scattered all kinds of animals, the winds of all directions, and the clouds rendered for service between the sky and the earth are all evidence (of His existence) for those who use their reason. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Most surely in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day, and the ships that run in the sea with that which profits men, and the water that Allah sends down from the cloud, then gives life with it to the earth after its death and spreads in it all (kinds of) animals, and the changing of the winds and the clouds made subservient between the heaven and the earth, there are signs for a people who understand. - Shakir, Habib

بیشک زمین و آسمان کی خلقت روز و شب کی رفت وآمد. ان کشتیوں میں جو دریاؤں میں لوگوں کے فائدہ کے لئے چلتی ہیں اور اس پانی میں جسے خدا نے آسمان سے نازل کرکے اس کے ذریعہ مفِدہ زمینوںکو زندہ کردیا ہے اور اس میں طرح طرح کے چوپائے پھیلا دیئے ہیںاور ہواؤں کے چلانے میں اور آسمان و زمین کے درمیان لَسخر کئے جانے والے بادل میں صاحبانِ عقل کے لئے اللہ کی نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

(اِس حقیقت کو پہچاننے کے لیے اگر کوئی نشانی اور علامت درکا رہے تو) جو لوگ عقل سے کام لیتے ہیں اُن کے لیے آسمانوں اور زمین کی ساخت میں، رات اور دن کے پیہم ایک دوسرے کے بعد آنے میں، اُن کشتیوں میں جوا نسان کے نفع کی چیزیں لیے ہوئے دریاؤں اور سمندروں میں چلتی پھرتی ہیں، بارش کے اُس پانی میں جسے اللہ اوپر سے برساتا ہے پھر اس کے ذریعے سے زمین کو زندگی بخشتا ہے اور اپنے اِسی انتظام کی بدولت زمین میں ہر قسم کی جان دار مخلوق پھیلاتا ہے، ہواؤں کی گردش میں، اور اُن بادلوں میں جو آسمان اور زمین کے درمیان تابع فرمان بنا کر رکھے گئے ہیں، بے شمار نشانیاں ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

بے شک آسمانوں اور زمینوں کی پیدائش میں اور رات دن کی آمد و رفت (الٹ پھیر) میں اور ان کشتیوں میں جو لوگوں کو نفع پہنچانے والی چیزیں لے کر سمندر میں چلتی ہیں اور (بارش کے) اس پانی میں جسے خدا نے آسمان (بلندی) سے برسایا اور پھر اس کے ذریعہ زمین کو اس کے بے جان (بے کار) ہو جانے کے بعد جاندار بنا دیا (سرسبز و شاداب بنا دیا) اور اس میں ہر قسم کے چلنے پھرنے والے (جانور) پھیلا دیئے۔ اور ہواؤں کی گردش (ہیر پھیر) میں اور ان بادلوں میں جو آسمان و زمین کے درمیان مسخر کرکے (تابع فرمان بنا کے) رکھے گئے ہیں۔ (ان سب باتوں میں) خدا کے وجود اور اس کی قدرت کی بڑی نشانیاں ہیں ان لوگوں کے لئے جو عقل و خرد سے کام لیتے ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And from
ٱلنَّاسِ
the people are
مَن
those who
يَتَّخِذُ
adopt
مِن
from
دُونِ
lower than
ٱللَّهِ
the One
أَندَادًۭا
as rivals (for the One);
يُحِبُّونَهُمْ
they admire them
كَحُبِّ
as they aught to love
ٱللَّهِ
the One;
ۖ
وَٱلَّذِينَ
while the ones
ءَامَنُوٓا۟
who have firm conviction
أَشَدُّ
are more intense
حُبًّۭا
in admiration
لِّلَّهِ
for the One.
ۗ
وَلَوْ
And when
يَرَى
they see
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
ظَلَمُوٓا۟
are in darkness
إِذْ
— when
يَرَوْنَ
they (those who are in darkness) will be seeing
ٱلْعَذَابَ
the punishment —
أَنَّ
that
ٱلْقُوَّةَ
the strength is
لِلَّهِ
for the One
جَمِيعًۭا
altogether;
وَأَنَّ
and surely
ٱللَّهَ
the One is
شَدِيدُ
severe of
ٱلْعَذَابِ
the punishment.

١٦٥
وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَندَادًۭا يُحِبُّونَهُمْ كَحُبِّ ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَشَدُّ حُبًّۭا لِّلَّهِ ۗ وَلَوْ يَرَى ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ إِذْ يَرَوْنَ ٱلْعَذَابَ أَنَّ ٱلْقُوَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًۭا وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعَذَابِ And from the people are those who adopt from lower than the One as rivals (for the One); they admire them as they aught to love the One; while the ones who have firm conviction are more intense in admiration for the One. And when they see the ones who are in darkness — when they (those who are in darkness) will be seeing the punishment — that the strength is for the One altogether; and surely the One is severe of the punishment.

Yet of mankind are some who take unto themselves (objects of worship which they set as) rivals to Allah, loving them with a love like (that which is the due) of Allah (only) - those who believe are stauncher in their love for Allah - Oh, that those who do evil had but known, (on the day) when they behold the doom, that power belongeth wholly to Allah, and that Allah is severe in punishment! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Among the people are those who set up compeers besides Allah, loving them as if loving Allah—but the faithful have a more ardent love for Allah—though the wrongdoers will see, when they sight the punishment, that power, altogether, belongs to Allah, and that Allah is severe in punishment. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Some people consider certain things equal to God and love them just as one should love God. However, the strongest of the believers' love is their love of God. Had the unjust been able to reflect about their condition, when facing the torment, they would have had no doubt that to God belongs All-power and that He is stern in His retribution. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And there are some among men who take for themselves objects of worship besides Allah, whom they love as they love Allah, and those who believe are stronger in love for Allah and O, that those who are unjust had seen, when they see the chastisement, that the power is wholly Allah's and that Allah is severe in requiting (evil). - Shakir, Habib

Yet there are some who set up equals with God and adore them with the adoration due to God, but those who believe love God most. If only the wrongdoers could see, as they will see when they face the punishment, that all power belongs to God, and that God is severe in punishment. - Wahiduddin Khan

لوگوں میں کچھ ا یسے لوگ بھی ہیں جو اللہ کے علاوہ دوسروں کو اس کا مثل قرار دیتے ہیں اور ان سے اللہ جیسی محبت بھی کرتے ہیں جب کہ ایمان والوںکی تمام تر محبّت خدا سے ہوتی ہے اور اے کاش ظالمین اس بات کو اس وقت دیکھ لیتے جو عذاب کو دیکھنے کے بعد سمجھیں گے کہ ساری قوت صرف اللہ کے لئے ہے اور اللہ سخت ترین عذاب کرنے والا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

(مگر وحدت خداوندی پر دلالت کرنے والے اِن کھلے کھلے آثار کے ہوتے ہوئے بھی) کچھ لوگ ایسے ہیں جو اللہ کے سوا دوسروں کو اس کا ہمسر اور مدمقابل بناتے ہیں اور اُن کے ایسے گرویدہ ہیں جیسے اللہ کے ساتھ گرویدگی ہونی چاہیے حالانکہ ایمان رکھنے والے لوگ سب سے بڑھ کر اللہ کو محبوب رکھتے ہیں کاش، جو کچھ عذاب کو سامنے دیکھ کر انہیں سُوجھنے والا ہے وہ آج ہی اِن ظالموں کو سوجھ جائے کہ ساری طاقتیں اور سارے اختیارات اللہ ہی کے قبضے میں ہیں اور یہ کہ اللہ سزا دینے میں بھی بہت سخت ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور کچھ لوگ اللہ کے سوا اور معبود بنالیتے ہیں کہ انہیں اللہ کی طرح محبوب رکھتے ہیں اور ایمان والوں کو اللہ کے برابر کسی کی محبت نہیں اور کیسے ہو اگر دیکھیں ظالم وہ وقت جب کہ عذاب ان کی آنکھوں کے سامنے آئے گا اس لئے کہ سارا زور خدا کو ہے اور اس لئے کہ اللہ کا عذاب بہت سخت ہے، - Ahmed Raza

(ان حقائق کے باوجود) کچھ لوگ ایسے بھی ہیں جو خدا کے سوا اوروں کو اس کا ہمسر قرار دیتے ہیں اور ان سے اس طرح محبت کرتے ہیں جس طرح خدا سے کرنی چاہیے۔ مگر جو صاحب ایمان ہیں وہ سب سے بڑھ کر خدا سے محبت کرتے ہیں اور کاش یہ ظالم (اس وقت) وہ حقیقت دیکھ لیتے (سمجھ لیتے) جو عذاب دیکھتے وقت سمجھیں گے کہ ساری قوت و طاقت بس اللہ کے لئے ہی ہے اور یہ کہ اللہ سخت عذاب کرنے والا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

When,
تَبَرَّأَ
disowned will be
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
ٱتُّبِعُوا۟
were following,
مِنَ
by
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones whom
ٱتَّبَعُوا۟
they were following,
وَرَأَوُا۟
and will see
ٱلْعَذَابَ
the punishment,
وَتَقَطَّعَتْ
and will cut off
بِهِمُ
with them
ٱلْأَسْبَابُ
the relations.

١٦٦
إِذْ تَبَرَّأَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتُّبِعُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوا۟ وَرَأَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ وَتَقَطَّعَتْ بِهِمُ ٱلْأَسْبَابُ When, disowned will be the ones who were following, by the ones whom they were following, and will see the punishment, and will cut off with them the relations.

(On the day) when those who were followed disown those who followed (them), and they behold the doom, and all their aims collapse with them. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When those who were followed will disown the followers, and they will sight the punishment while all their means of recourse will be cut off, - Qarai, Ali Quli

When the leaders see the torment and lose all their resources, they will denounce their followers. - Sarwar, Muhammad

When those who were followed shall renounce those who followed (them), and they see the chastisement and their ties are cut asunder. - Shakir, Habib

When they face their punishment, those who have been followed will disown their followers, and all their ties shall be cut asunder, - Wahiduddin Khan

اس وقت جبکہ پیر اپنے مریدوں سے بیزاری کا اظہار کریں گے اور سب کے سامنے عذاب ہوگا اور تمام وسائل منقطع ہوچکے ہوں گے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

جب وہ سزا دے گا اس وقت کیفیت یہ ہوگی کہ وہی پیشوا اور رہنما، جن کی دنیا میں پیروی کی گئی تھی، اپنے پیروؤں سے بے تعلقی ظاہر کریں گے، مگر سزا پا کر رہیں گے اور ان کے سارے اسباب و وسائل کا سلسلہ کٹ جائے گا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

جب بیزار ہوں گے پیشوا اپنے پیروؤں سے اور دیکھیں گے عذاب اور کٹ جائیں گی ان کی سب ڈوریں - Ahmed Raza

اور (وہ مرحلہ کتنا کھٹن ہوگا) جب وہ (پیر) لوگ جن کی (دنیا میں) پیروی کی گئی اپنے پیرؤوں (مریدوں) سے برأت اور لاتعلقی ظاہر کریں گے اور خدا کا عذاب ان سب کی آنکھوں کے سامنے ہوگا اور سب وسائل اور تعلقات بالکل قطع ہو چکے ہوں گے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

ٱلَّذِينَ

ٱتَّبَعُوا۟
who were following,
لَوْ
[If
أَنَّ
there is
لَنَا
for us
كَرَّةًۭ
a return,
فَنَتَبَرَّأَ
then we will renounce
مِنْهُمْ
from them
كَمَا
as how
تَبَرَّءُوا۟
they renounced
مِنَّا
from us.]
ۗ
كَذَٰلِكَ
That is how
يُرِيهِمُ
displays
ٱللَّهُ
the One
أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ
their actions
حَسَرَٰتٍ
as regret
عَلَيْهِمْ
upon them;
ۖ
وَمَا
and not
هُم
they are
بِخَٰرِجِينَ
with those outside
مِنَ
of
ٱلنَّارِ
the fire.

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوا۟ لَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةًۭ فَنَتَبَرَّأَ مِنْهُمْ كَمَا تَبَرَّءُوا۟ مِنَّا ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ يُرِيهِمُ ٱللَّهُ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ حَسَرَٰتٍ عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ وَمَا هُم بِخَٰرِجِينَ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ And (would be) said by the ones who were following, [If there is for us a return, then we will renounce from them as how they renounced from us.] That is how displays the One their actions as regret upon them; and not they are with those outside of the fire.

And those who were but followers will say: If a return were possible for us, we would disown them even as they have disowned us. Thus will Allah show them their own deeds as anguish for them, and they will not emerge from the Fire. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

and when the followers will say, [Had there been another turn for us, we would disown them as they disown us [now]!] Thus shall Allah show them their deeds as regrets for themselves, and they shall not leave the Fire. - Qarai, Ali Quli

The followers will say, [Had we had the chance we also would have denounced our leaders.] That is how God will show them their regrettable deeds. They will not be able to escape from hell fire. - Sarwar, Muhammad

اور مرید بھی یہ کہیں گے کہ اے کاش ہم نے ان سے اسی طرح بیزاری اختیار کی ہوتی جس طرح یہ آج ہم سے نفرت کر رہے ہیں. خدا ان سب کے اعمال کو اسی طرح حسرت بنا کر پیش کرے گا اور ان میں سے کوئی جہّنم سے نکلنے والا نہیں ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور وہ لوگ جو دنیا میں اُن کی پیروی کرتے تھے، کہیں گے کہ کاش ہم کو پھر ایک موقع دیا جاتا تو جس طرح آج یہ ہم سے بیزاری ظاہر کر رہے ہیں، ہم اِن سے بیزار ہو کر دکھا دیتے یوں اللہ اِن لوگوں کے وہ اعمال جو یہ دنیا میں کر رہے ہیں، ان کے سامنے اِس طرح لائے گا کہ یہ حسرتوں اور پشیمانیوں کے ساتھ ہاتھ ملتے رہیں گے مگر آگ سے نکلنے کی کوئی راہ نہ پائیں گے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور کہیں گے پیرو کاش ہمیں لوٹ کر جانا ہوتا (دنیا میں) تو ہم ان سے توڑ دیتے جیسے انہوں نے ہم سے توڑ دی، یونہی اللہ انہیں دکھائے گا ان کے کام ان پر حسرتیں ہوکر اور وہ دوزخ سے نکلنے والے نہیں - Ahmed Raza

اور پیروی کرنے والے (مرید) کہتے ہوں گے کہ کاش! ہمیں ایک بار (دنیا میں) واپسی کا موقع مل جاتا تو ہم بھی بالکل اسی طرح ان سے بیزاری اور بے تعلقی ظاہر کرتے جس طرح انہوں نے آج ہم سے بیزاری اور لاتعلقی ظاہر کی ہے اسی طرح خدا ان کے (برے) کاموں کو حسرت و یاس کی شکل میں دکھائے گا اور وہ کبھی دوزخ سے باہر نہیں نکل سکیں گے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

ٱلنَّاسُ
the people!

Consume

ٱلْأَرْضِ
the Earth
حَلَٰلًۭا
openly,
طَيِّبًۭا
whatever is good for you,
وَلَا
and do not
تَتَّبِعُوا۟
follow
خُطُوَٰتِ
the lines of
ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ
the cognitively blind devil,
ۚ
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed he is
لَكُمْ
for you
عَدُوٌّۭ
an enemy
مُّبِينٌ
clearly.

١٦٨
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ كُلُوا۟ مِمَّا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ حَلَٰلًۭا طَيِّبًۭا وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ خُطُوَٰتِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّۭ مُّبِينٌ O you of the people! Consume from what is in the Earth openly, whatever is good for you, and do not follow the lines of the cognitively blind devil, Indeed he is for you an enemy clearly.

O mankind! Eat of that which is lawful and wholesome in the earth, and follow not the footsteps of the devil. Lo! he is an open enemy for you. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
