لَكَٰذِبُونَ

وَإِذَا رَءَا ٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ شُرَكَآءَهُمْ قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ شُرَكَآؤُنَا ٱلَّذِينَ كُنَّا نَدْعُوا۟ مِن دُونِكَ ۖ فَأَلْقَوْا۟ إِلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقَوْلَ إِنَّكُمْ لَكَٰذِبُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And when those who ascribed partners to Allah behold those partners of theirs, they will say: Our Lord! these are our partners unto whom we used to cry instead of Thee. But they will fling to them the saying: Lo! ye verily are liars! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When the polytheists sight their partners, they will say, [Our Lord! These are our partners whom we used to invoke besides You.] But they will retort to them, [You are indeed liars!] - Qarai, Ali Quli

When the idolators see their idols, they will say, [Lord, these are the idols whom we worshipped instead of you.] But the idols will say, [They are liars.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when those who associate (others with Allah) shall see their associate-gods, they shall say: Our Lord, these are our associate-gods on whom we called besides Thee. But they will give them back the reply: Most surely you are liars. - Shakir, Habib

When those who associate partners with God see their associate gods, they will say, [Our Lord, these are our associate gods whom we used to call upon instead of You.] But they will throw back their words at them, [saying], [Indeed you are liars,] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جب مشرکین اپنے شرکائ کو دیکھیں گے تو کہیں گے پروردگار یہی ہمارے شرکائ تھے جنہیں ہم تجھے چھوڑ کر پکارا کرتے تھے پھر وہ شرکائ اس بات کو ان ہی کی طرف پھینک دیں گے کہ تم لوگ بالکل جھوٹے ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور جب وہ لوگ جنہوں نے دنیا میں شرک کیا تھا اپنے ٹھیرائے ہوئے شریکوں کو دیکھیں گے تو کہیں گے ——اے پروردگار، یہی ہیں ہمارے وہ شریک جنہیں ہم تجھے چھوڑ کر پکارا کرتے تھے—— اس پر اُن کے وہ معبود انہیں صاف جواب دیں گے کہ ——تم جھوٹے ہو—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور شرک کرنے والے جب اپنے شریکوں کو دیکھیں گے کہیں گے اے ہمارے رب! یہ ہیں ہمارے شریک کہ ہم تیرے سوا پوجتے تھے، تو وہ ان پر بات پھینکیں گے کہ تم بیشک جھوٹے ہو، - Ahmed Raza

اور جن لوگوں نے (دنیا میں) شرک کیا تھا جب وہ (قیامت کے دن) اپنے بنائے ہوئے شریکوں کو دیکھیں گے تو کہیں گے اے ہمارے پروردگار یہ ہیں ہمارے وہ شرکاء جنہیں ہم تجھے چھوڑ کر پکارا کرتے تھے تو وہ (شرکاء) یہ بات ان کی طرف پھینک دیں گے کہ تم جھوٹے ہو۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And they proffer unto Allah submission on that day, and all that they used to invent hath failed them. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They will submit to Allah on that day, and what they used to fabricate will forsake them. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(On the Day of Judgment) the disbelievers will submit themselves to God and whatever they had falsely invented will disappear. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And they shall tender submission to Allah on that day; and what they used to forge shall depart from them. - Shakir, Habib

ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَصَدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ زِدْنَٰهُمْ عَذَابًۭا فَوْقَ ٱلْعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يُفْسِدُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

For those who disbelieve and debar (men) from the way of Allah, We add doom to doom because they wrought corruption, - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
Those who are faithless and bar from the way of Allah—We shall add punishment to their punishment because of the corruption they used to cause. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
The disbelievers who had created obstacles in the way leading to God will face manifold torments as a result of their evil deeds. - Sarwar, Muhammad

(As for) those who disbelieve and turn away from Allah's way, We will add chastisement to their chastisement because they made mischief. - Shakir, Habib

Upon all who were bent on denying the truth and who turned others away from the path of God, We will heap punishment upon punishment, in return for all the corruption that they brought about. - Wahiduddin Khan

وَيَوْمَ نَبْعَثُ فِى كُلِّ أُمَّةٍۢ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْهِم مِّنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ ۖ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ شَهِيدًا عَلَىٰ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ ۚ وَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ تِبْيَٰنًۭا لِّكُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ وَهُدًۭى وَرَحْمَةًۭ وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And (bethink you of) the day when We raise in every nation a witness against them of their own folk, and We bring thee (Muhammad) as a witness against these. And We reveal the Scripture unto thee as an exposition of all things, and a guidance and a mercy and good tidings for those who have surrendered (to Allah). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

The day We raise in every nation a witness against them from among themselves, We shall bring you as a witness against these. We have sent down the Book to you as a clarification of all things and as guidance, mercy and good news for the Muslims. - Qarai, Ali Quli

On the day when We call a witness against every nation from their own people, We will call you, (Muhammad), as a witness against them all. We have sent you the Book which clarifies all matters. It is a guide, a mercy, and glad news to the Muslims. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And on the day when We will raise up in every people a witness against them from among themselves, and bring you as a witness against these-- and We have revealed the Book to you explaining clearly everything, and a guidance and mercy and good news for those who submit. - Shakir, Habib

(اے محمدؐ، اِنہیں اُس دن سے خبردار کر دو) جب کہ ہم ہر امت میں خود اُسی کے اندر سے ایک گواہ اٹھا کھڑا کریں گے جو اُس کے مقابلے میں شہادت دے گا، اور اِن لوگوں کے مقابلے میں شہادت دینے کے لیے ہم تمہیں لائیں گے اور (یہ اسی شہادت کی تیاری ہے کہ) ہم نے یہ کتاب تم پر نازل کر دی ہے جو ہر چیز کی صاف صاف وضاحت کرنے والی ہے اور ہدایت و رحمت اور بشارت ہے اُن لوگوں کے لیے جنہوں نے سر تسلیم خم کر دیا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَأْمُرُ بِٱلْعَدْلِ وَٱلْإِحْسَٰنِ وَإِيتَآئِ ذِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَيَنْهَىٰ عَنِ ٱلْفَحْشَآءِ وَٱلْمُنكَرِ وَٱلْبَغْىِ ۚ يَعِظُكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Lo! Allah enjoineth justice and kindness, and giving to kinsfolk, and forbiddeth lewdness and abomination and wickedness. He exhorteth you in order that ye may take heed. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Indeed Allah enjoins justice and kindness, and generosity towards relatives, and He forbids indecency, wrongdoing, and aggression. He advises you, so that you may take admonition. - Qarai, Ali Quli

God commands (people) to maintain justice, kindness, and proper relations with their relatives. He forbids them to commit indecency, sin, and rebellion. God gives you advice so that perhaps you will take heed. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Surely Allah enjoins the doing of justice and the doing of good (to others) and the giving to the kindred, and He forbids indecency and evil and rebellion; He admonishes you that you may be mindful. - Shakir, Habib

Fulfil the covenant of Allah when ye have covenanted, and break not your oaths after the asseveration of them, and after ye have made Allah surety over you. Lo! Allah knoweth what ye do. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And be not like unto her who unravelleth the thread, after she hath made it strong, to thin filaments, making your oaths a deceit between you because of a nation being more numerous than (another) nation. Allah only trieth you thereby, and He verily will explain to you on the Day of Resurrection that wherein ye differed. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Do not be like her who would undo her yarn, breaking it up after [spinning it to] strength, by making your oaths a means of [mutual] deceit among yourselves, so that one community may become more affluent than another community. Do not be like the lady behind the spinning wheel who has broken the yarn by pulling it with unnecessary force. You must not consider your oaths as means of deceit to benefit one party and incur loss upon the other. God tests your faith by your oaths. تمہاری حالت اُس عورت کی سی نہ ہو جائے جس نے آپ ہی محنت سے سوت کاتا اور پھر آپ ہی اسے ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کر ڈالا تم اپنی قسموں کو آپس کے معاملات میں مکر و فریب کا ہتھیار بناتے ہو تاکہ ایک قوم دوسری قوم سے بڑھ کر فائدے حاصل کرے حالاں کہ اللہ اس عہد و پیمان کے ذریعہ سے تم کو آزمائش میں ڈالتا ہے، اور ضرور وہ قیامت کے روز تمہارے تمام اختلافات کی حقیقت تم پر کھول دے گا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اس عورت کی طرح نہ ہو جس نے اپنا سُوت مضبوطی کے بعد ریزہ ریزہ کرکے توڑ دیا اپنی قسمیں آپس میں ایک بے اصل بہانہ بناتے ہو کہ کہیں ایک گروہ دوسرے گروہ سے زیادہ نہ ہو اللہ تو اس سے تمہیں آزماتا ہے اور ضرور تم پر صاف ظاہر کردے گا قیامت کے دن جس بات میں جھگڑتے تھے، - Ahmed Raza

Make not your oaths a deceit between you, lest a foot should slip after being firmly planted and ye should taste evil forasmuch as ye debarred (men) from the way of Allah, and yours should be an awful doom. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
