وَلِلَّهِ
And for the One
يَسْجُدُ
is executing commands
مَا
what is
فِى
in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens
وَمَا
and what is
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the land
مِن
from
دَآبَّةٍۢ
creatures,
وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
and the malaikati,
وَهُمْ
while they are
لَا
not
يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
egotistic.
١٦
٤٩
وَلِلَّهِ يَسْجُدُ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِن دَآبَّةٍۢ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ And for the One is executing commands what is in the heavens and what is in the land from creatures, and the malaikati, while they are not egotistic.

And unto Allah maketh prostration whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth of living creatures, and the angels (also) and they are not proud. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

To Allah prostrates whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, including animals and angels, and they are not arrogant. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Whatever is in the heavens and the earth, the cattle and the angels prostrate themselves before God without pride. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And whatever creature that is in the heavens and that is in the earth makes obeisance to Allah (only), and the angels (too) and they do not show pride. - Shakir, Habib

they are commanded.

They fear their Rabb from above them, and they do what they are commanded.

وَقَالَ
And said
ٱللَّهُ
the One,
لَا
[Do not
تَتَّخِذُوٓا۟
take
إِلَٰهَيْنِ
gods
ٱثْنَيْنِ
as two;
ۖ
إِنَّمَا
certainly what
هُوَ
He is, is
إِلَٰهٌۭ
an unchallenged master (god)
وَٰحِدٌۭ
absolutely alone,
ۖ
فَإِيَّٰىَ
so it is only Me
فَٱرْهَبُونِ
thus Whom you should feel terrified of.]
١٦
٥١
وَقَالَ ٱللَّهُ لَا تَتَّخِذُوٓا۟ إِلَٰهَيْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ ۖ إِنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَٰهٌۭ وَٰحِدٌۭ ۖ فَإِيَّٰىَ فَٱرْهَبُونِ And said the One, [Do not take gods as two; certainly what He is, is an unchallenged master (god) absolutely alone, so it is only Me thus Whom you should feel terrified of.]

Allah hath said: Choose not two gods. There is only One Allah. So of Me, Me only, be in awe. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Allah has said, [Do not worship two gods. Indeed He is the One God, so be in awe of Me [alone].] - Qarai, Ali Quli

God says, [Do not worship two gods. There is only One God. Have fear of Me]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And Allah has said: Take not two gods, He is only one Allah; so of Me alone should you be afraid. - Shakir, Habib

اور اللہ نے کہہ دیا ہے کہ خبردار دو خدا نہ بناؤ کہ اللہ صرف خدائے واحد ہے لہذا مجھ ہی سے ڈرو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اللہ کا فرمان ہے کہ ——دو خدا نہ بنا لو، خدا تو بس ایک ہی ہے، لہٰذا تم مجھی سے ڈرو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

⦿
Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth, and religion is His for ever. Will ye then fear any other than Allah? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and to Him belongs the enduring religion. Will you, then, be wary of other than Allah? - Qarai, Ali Quli

And whatever is in the heavens and the earth is His, and to Him should obedience be (rendered) constantly; will you then guard against other than (the punishment of) Allah? - Shakir, Habib

And whatever of comfort ye enjoy, it is from Allah. Then, when misfortune reacheth you, unto Him ye cry for help. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Whatever blessing you have is from Allah, and when a distress befalls you, you make entreaties to Him. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Whatever bounties you have are from God. When hardship befalls you, you begin to cry out to Him. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And whatever favor is (bestowed) on you it is from Allah; then when evil afflicts you, to Him do you cry for aid. - Shakir, Habib

اور تمہارے پاس جو بھی نعمت ہے وہ سب اللہ ہی کی طرف سے ہے اور اس کے بعد بھی جب تمہیں کوئی تکلیف چھولیتی ہے تو تم اسی سے فریاد کرتے ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

تم کو جو نعمت بھی حاصل ہے اللہ ہی کی طرف سے ہے پھر جب کوئی سخت وقت تم پر آتا ہے تو تم لوگ خود اپنی فریادیں لے کر اُسی کی طرف دوڑتے ہو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور تمہارے پاس جو نعمت ہے سب اللہ کی طرف سے ہے پھر جب تمہیں تکلیف پہنچتی ہے تو اسی کی طرف پناہ لے جاتے ہو، ف) - Ahmed Raza

And afterward, when He hath rid you of the misfortune, behold! a set of you attribute partners to their Lord, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When He saves you from the hardship, some of you start to believe in idols. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Yet when He removes the evil from you, lo! a party of you associate others with their Lord; - Shakir, Habib

yet no sooner does He relieve your distress than some among you set up other partners besides their Lord, - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جب وہ تکلیف کو دور کردیتاہے تو تم میں سے ایک گروہ اپنے پروردگار کا شریک بنانے لگتا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

مگر جب اللہ اس وقت کو ٹال دیتا ہے تو یکا یک تم میں سے ایک گروہ اپنے رب کے ساتھ دوسروں کو (اس مہربانی کے شکریے میں) شریک کرنے لگتا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

پھر جب وہ تم سے برائی ٹال دیتا ہے تو تم میں ایک گروہ اپنے رب کا شریک ٹھہرانے لگتا ہے، ف) - Ahmed Raza

پھر جب وہ تکلیف کو دور کر دیتا ہے تو ایک دم تم میں سے ایک گروہ اپنے پروردگار کے ساتھ شرک کرنے لگتا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

So as to deny that which We have given them. Then enjoy life (while ye may), for ye will come to know. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

being unthankful for what We have given them. So let them enjoy. Soon they shall know! - Qarai, Ali Quli

In the end you will reject Our bounties. Enjoy yourselves; you will soon know (the consequences of your deeds). - Sarwar, Muhammad

So that they be ungrateful for what We have given them; then enjoy yourselves; for soon will you know - Shakir, Habib

showing no gratitude for what We have given them. Enjoy yourselves awhile; but soon you will know! - Wahiduddin Khan

تاکہ ان نعمتوں کا انکار کردیں جو ہم نے انہیں عطا کی ہیں خیر چند روز اور مزے کرلو اس کے بعد انجام معلوم ہی ہوجائے گا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

کہ ہماری دی ہوئی نعمتوں کی ناشکری کریں، تو کچھ برت لو () کہ عنقریب جان جاؤ گے، - Ahmed Raza

وَيَجْعَلُونَ لِمَا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ نَصِيبًۭا مِّمَّا رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ ۗ تَٱللَّهِ لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ عَمَّا كُنتُمْ تَفْتَرُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]
⦿
And they assign a portion of that which We have given them unto what they know not. By Allah! but ye will indeed be asked concerning (all) that ye used to invent. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
They assign a share in what We have provided them to what they do not know. By Allah, you will surely be questioned concerning what you used to fabricate. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
They give to unknown images a share out of the sustenance that We gave them. By God, you will be questioned about that which you have falsely invented. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And they set apart for what they do not know a portion of what We have given them. By Allah, you shall most certainly be questioned about that which you forged. - Shakir, Habib

They even appoint a share of what We have provided for them [to false gods] they know nothing of. You shall surely be questioned about the lies you have been fabricating. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور یہ ہمارے دئے ہوئے رزق میں سے ان کا بھی حصہ ّقرار دیتے ہیں جنہیں جانتے بھی نہیں ہیں تو عنقریب تم سے تمہارے افترا کے بارے میں بھی سوال کیا جائے گا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یہ لوگ جن کی حقیقت سے واقف نہیں ہیں اُن کے حصے ہمارے دیے ہوئے رزق میں سے مقرر کرتے ہیں خدا کی قسم، ضرور تم سے پوچھا جائے گا کہ یہ جھوٹ تم نے کیسے گھڑ لیے تھے؟ - Maududi, Abul A'ala

He hideth himself from the folk because of the evil of that whereof he hath had tidings, (asking himself): Shall he keep it in contempt, or bury it beneath the dust. Verily evil is their judgment. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
