تُؤْتِىٓ
It produces
أُكُلَهَا
its fruit
كُلَّ
at all
حِينٍۭ
times
بِإِذْنِ
by command of
رَبِّهَا
its Rabb;
ۗ
وَيَضْرِبُ
and puts forth
ٱللَّهُ
the One
ٱلْأَمْثَالَ
the examples
لِلنَّاسِ
for the people
لَعَلَّهُمْ
that perhaps they
يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
may recall it.

٢٥
تُؤْتِىٓ أُكُلَهَا كُلَّ حِينٍۭ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهَا ۗ وَيَضْرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْأَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ It produces its fruit at all times by command of its Rabb; and puts forth the One the examples for the people that perhaps they may recall it.

Giving its fruit at every season by permission of its Lord? Allah coineth the similitudes for mankind in order that they may reflect. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

وَمَثَلُ كَلِمَةٍ خَبِيثَةٍۢ كَشَجَرَةٍ خَبِيثَةٍ ٱجْتُثَّتْ مِن فَوْقِ ٱلْأَرْضِ مَا لَهَا مِن قَرَارٍۢ And example of a speech that is putrid is like a tree that is putrid uprooted from above the ground, not for it of any stability.

ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
the life of
ٱلدُّنْيَا
this World
وَفِى
and
ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
the forth coming;
ۖ
وَيُضِلُّ
and misguides
ٱللَّهُ
the One
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
the people in darkness;
ۚ
وَيَفْعَلُ
and does
ٱللَّهُ
the One
مَا
what
يَشَآءُ
He desires.
١٤
٢٧
يُثَبِّتُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱلْقَوْلِ ٱلثَّابِتِ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَفِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۖ وَيُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ۚ وَيَفْعَلُ ٱللَّهُ مَا يَشَآءُ Makes firm the One, the ones who have conviction through the speech of the affirmation in the life of this World and the forth coming; and misguides the One the people in darkness; and does the One what He desires.

Allah confirmeth those who believe by a firm saying in the life of the world and in the Hereafter, and Allah sendeth wrong-doers astray. And Allah doeth what He will. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Allah fortifies those who have faith with a constant creed in the life of this world and in the Hereafter, and Allah leads astray the wrongdoers, and Allah does whatever He wishes. - Qarai, Ali Quli

God strengthens the faith of the believers by the true Words in this world and in the life to come. He causes the unjust to go astray and does whatever He pleases. - Sarwar, Muhammad

and they allowed upon
قَوْمَهُمْ
their respective nations
دَارَ
a dwelling in
ٱلْبَوَارِ
the wild.

٢٨
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ بَدَّلُوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ كُفْرًۭا وَأَحَلُّوا۟ قَوْمَهُمْ دَارَ ٱلْبَوَارِ Do not you see at the ones who replaced favour of the One being deniers, and they allowed upon their respective nations a dwelling in the wild.

Hast thou not seen those who gave the grace of Allah in exchange for thanklessness and led their people down to the Abode of Loss, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Have you not regarded those who have changed Allah]s blessing with ingratitude, and landed their people in the house of ruin? - Qarai, Ali Quli

Hell is
يَصْلَوْنَهَا
enjoined upon them;
ۖ
وَبِئْسَ
and miserable is
ٱلْقَرَارُ
that as a resting place.
Hell is enjoined upon them; and miserable is that as a resting place.

(Even to) hell? They are exposed thereto. A hapless end! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

His path.

قُلْ
Say,
تَمَتَّعُوا۟
[Enjoy,
فَإِنَّ
thus it is that
مَصِيرَكُمْ
your final place is
إِلَى
at
ٱلنَّارِ
the fire.]

٣٠
وَجَعَلُوا۟ لِلَّهِ أَندَادًۭا لِّيُضِلُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ ۗ قُلْ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ فَإِنَّ مَصِيرَكُمْ إِلَى ٱلنَّارِ And they put up for the One rivalries to misguide from His path. Say, [Enjoy, thus it is that your final place is at the fire.]

And they set up rivals to Allah that they may mislead (men) from His way. Say: Enjoy life (while ye may) for lo! your journey's end will be the Fire. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They have set up equals to Allah, to lead [people] astray from His way. Say, [Enjoy [for a while], for indeed your destination is hellfire!] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
To lead people astray, they claimed their idols were equal to God. (Muhammad), tell them, [Enjoy yourselves and know that the only place for you to go will be hell fire.] - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And they set up equals with Allah that they may lead (people) astray from His path. Say: Enjoy yourselves, for surely your return is to the fire. - Shakir, Habib

They have set up rivals to God to lead people away from His path. Say, [Enjoy yourselves awhile: you will then proceed to the Fire.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور ان لوگوں نے اللہ کے لئے مثل قرار دیئے تاکہ اس کے ذریعہ لوگوں کو بہکا سکیں تو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ تھوڑے دن اور مزے کرلو پھر تو تمہارا انجام جہّنم ہی ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور اللہ کے کچھ ہمسر تجویز کر لیے تاکہ وہ انہیں اللہ کے راستے سے بھٹکا دیں اِن سے کہو، اچھا مزے کر لو، آخرکار تمہیں پلٹ کر جانا دوزخ ہی میں ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

Say
لِّعِبَادِىَ
to My servants
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
ءَامَنُوا۟
have conviction to
يُقِيمُوا۟
establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
the Order,
وَيُنفِقُوا۟
and channelize
مِمَّا
from what
رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ
sustenance We give to them,
سِرًّۭا
privately
وَعَلَانِيَةًۭ
and openly,
مِّن
from
قَبْلِ
before
أَن
that
يَأْتِىَ
comes
يَوْمٌۭ
a day,
لَّا
no
بَيْعٌۭ
merchandising will be
فِيهِ
in it,
وَلَا
and no
خِلَٰلٌ
interruption.
١٤
٣١
قُل لِّعِبَادِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ يُقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُنفِقُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ سِرًّۭا وَعَلَانِيَةًۭ مِّن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِىَ يَوْمٌۭ لَّا بَيْعٌۭ فِيهِ وَلَا خِلَٰلٌ Say to My servants the ones who have conviction to establish the Order, and channelize from what sustenance We give to them, privately and openly, from before that comes a day, no merchandising will be in it, and no interruption.
⦿
Tell My bondmen who believe to establish worship and spend of that which We have given them, secretly and publicly, before a day cometh wherein there will be neither traffick nor befriending. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Tell My servants who have faith to maintain the prayer and to spend out of what We have provided them with, secretly and openly, before there comes a day on which there will be neither any bargaining nor friendship. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Tell My believing servants to be steadfast in prayer and to spend for the cause of their Lord, both in private and in public, out of what We have given them. Let them do this before the coming of the day when there will be no merchandising or friendship. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Say to My servants who believe that they should keep up prayer and spend out of what We have given them secretly and openly before the coming of the day in which there shall be no bartering nor mutual befriending. - Shakir, Habib

Tell My servants, those who are true believers, to keep up prayer and to give alms secretly and openly out of what We have given them, before the Day comes when there will be neither trading nor befriending. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور آپ میرے ایماندار بندوں سے کہہ دیجئے کہ نمازیں قائم کریں اور ہمارے رزق میں سے خفیہ اور علانیہ ہماری راہ میں انفاق کریں قبل اس کے کہ وہ دن آجائے جب نہ تجارت کام آئے گی اور نہ دوستی - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اے نبیؐ، میرے جو بندے ایمان لائے ہیں اُن سے کہہ دو کہ نماز قائم کریں اور جو کچھ ہم نے اُن کو دیا ہے، اُس میں سے کھلے اور چھپے (راہ خیر میں) خرچ کریں قبل اِس کے کہ وہ دن آئے جس میں نہ خرید و فروخت ہوگی اور نہ دوست نوازی ہوسکے گی - Maududi, Abul A'ala

میرے ان بندوں سے فرماؤ جو ایمان لائے کہ نماز قائم رکھیں اور ہمارے دیے میں سے کچھ ہماری راہ میں چھپے اور ظاہر خرچ کریں اس دن کے آنے سے پہلے جس میں نہ سوداگری ہوگی نہ یارانہ - Ahmed Raza

آپ میرے ان بندوں سے کہہ دیجیے جو ایمان لائے ہیں کہ نماز قائم کریں اور جو کچھ ہم نے انہیں دیا ہے اس سے پوشیدہ اور علانیہ خرچ کریں اس سے پہلے کہ وہ دن آئے کہ جس میں نہ خرید و فروخت ہوگی اور نہ مخلصانہ دوستی ہوگی۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

ٱللَّهُ
The One is
ٱلَّذِى
the Entity who
خَلَقَ
created
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the atmospheres
وَٱلْأَرْضَ
and the land,
وَأَنزَلَ
and sent down
مِنَ
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
the heaven
مَآءًۭ
basic essence,
فَأَخْرَجَ
then brought out
بِهِۦ
by it
مِنَ
of
ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ
the fruits,
رِزْقًۭا
a sustenance
لَّكُمْ
for you all;
ۖ
وَسَخَّرَ
and subjugated
لَكُمُ
for you
ٱلْفُلْكَ
the ship
لِتَجْرِىَ
for floating
فِى
in
ٱلْبَحْرِ
the sea
بِأَمْرِهِۦ
by His command;
ۖ
وَسَخَّرَ
and subjugated
لَكُمُ
for you
ٱلْأَنْهَٰرَ
the rivers.
١٤
٣٢
ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ فَأَخْرَجَ بِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ رِزْقًۭا لَّكُمْ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلْفُلْكَ لِتَجْرِىَ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ بِأَمْرِهِۦ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَنْهَٰرَ The One is the Entity who created the atmospheres and the land, and sent down from the heaven basic essence, then brought out by it of the fruits, a sustenance for you all; and subjugated for you the ship for floating in the sea by His command; and subjugated for you the rivers.

Allah is He Who created the heavens and the earth, and causeth water to descend from the sky, thereby producing fruits as food for you, and maketh the ships to be of service unto you, that they may run upon the sea at His command, and hath made of service unto you the rivers; - Pickthall, Marmaduke

It is Allah who created the heavens and the earth, and He sends down water from the sky and with it He brings forth crops for your sustenance. And He disposed the ships for you[r benefit] so that they may sail at sea by His command, and He disposed the rivers for you. - Qarai, Ali Quli

And subjugated
لَكُمُ

ٱلشَّمْسَ
the Sun
وَٱلْقَمَرَ
and the Moon
دَآئِبَيْنِ
as two energons;
ۖ
وَسَخَّرَ
and subjugated
لَكُمُ
for you
ٱلَّيْلَ
the night
وَٱلنَّهَارَ
and the day-burst.
And subjugated for you the Sun and the Moon as two energons; and subjugated for you the night and the day-burst.

And maketh the sun and the moon, constant in their courses, to be of service unto you, and hath made of service unto you the night and the day. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

He disposed the sun and the moon for you, constant [in their courses], and He disposed the night and the day, - Qarai, Ali Quli

He made the sun and moon, each following its course, and the day and the night all subservient to you. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And He has made subservient to you the sun and the moon pursuing their courses, and He has made subservient to you the night and the day. - Shakir, Habib

He has also subjected to you the sun and the moon, both steadfastly pursuing their courses. He has subjected to you the night as well as the day; - Wahiduddin Khan

اور تمہارے لئے حرکت کرنے والے آفتاب و ماہتاب کو بھی مسخر کردیا ہے اور تمہارے لئے رات اور دن کو بھی مسخر کردیا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

جس نے سورج اور چاند کو تمہارے لیے مسخر کیا کہ لگاتار چلے جا رہے ہیں اور رات اور دن کو تمہارے لیے مسخر کیا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور تمہارے لیے سورج اور چاند مسخر کیے جو برابر چل رہے ہیں اور تمہارے لیے رات اور دن مسخر کیے - Ahmed Raza

اور تمہارے لئے سورج و چاند کو (بھی) مسخر کر دیا جو برابر چلے جا رہے ہیں اور رات اور دن کو بھی تمہارے لئے مسخر کر دیا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَءَاتَىٰكُم
And He has given you
مِّن
from
كُلِّ
all
مَا
what
سَأَلْتُمُوهُ
you ask of Him;
ۚ
وَإِن
and if
تَعُدُّوا۟
you were to calculate
نِعْمَتَ
favours of
ٱللَّهِ
the One,
لَا
not
تُحْصُوهَآ
you will be able to count them;
ۗ
إِنَّ
surely
ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ
the human
لَظَلُومٌۭ
can be injust
كَفَّارٌۭ
being a denier.
١٤
٣٤
وَءَاتَىٰكُم مِّن كُلِّ مَا سَأَلْتُمُوهُ ۚ وَإِن تَعُدُّوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ لَا تُحْصُوهَآ ۗ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لَظَلُومٌۭ كَفَّارٌۭ And He has given you from all what you ask of Him; and if you were to calculate favours of the One, not you will be able to count them; surely the human can be injust being a denier.

And He giveth you of all ye ask of Him, and if ye would count the bounty of Allah ye cannot reckon it. Lo! man is verily a wrong-doer, an ingrate. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

and He gave you all that you had asked Him. If you enumerate Allah]s blessings, you will not be able to count them. Indeed man is most unfair and ungrateful! - Qarai, Ali Quli

He has given you everything that you asked Him for. Had you wanted to count the bounties of God, you would not have been able to do it. The human being is unjust and disbelieving. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And He gives you of all that you ask Him; and if you count Allah's favors, you will not be able to number them; most surely man is very unjust, very ungrateful. - Shakir, Habib

اور جو کچھ تم نے مانگا اس میں سے کچھ نہ کچھ ضرور دیا اور اگر تم اس کی نعمتوں کو شمار کرنا چاہو گے تو ہرگز شمار نہیں کرسکتے -بیشک انسان بڑا ظالم اور انکار کرنے والا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

جس نے وہ سب کچھ تمہیں دیا جو تم نے مانگا اگر تم اللہ کی نعمتوں کا شمار کرنا چاہو تو کر نہیں سکتے حقیقت یہ ہے کہ انسان بڑا ہی بے انصاف اور ناشکرا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور تمہیں بہت کچھ منہ مانگا دیا، اور اگر اللہ کی نعمتیں گنو تو شمار نہ کرسکو گے، بیشک آدمی بڑا ظالم ناشکرا ہے - Ahmed Raza

وَإِذْ
And when
قَالَ
said
إِبْرَٰهِيمُ
Ibrahim,
رَبِّ
[Lord!
ٱجْعَلْ
Set
هَٰذَا
this
ٱلْبَلَدَ
dwelling
ءَامِنًۭا
as peaceful,
وَٱجْنُبْنِى
and alienate me
وَبَنِىَّ
and my lineage
أَن
that
نَّعْبُدَ
we obey
ٱلْأَصْنَامَ
the idols.]
١٤
٣٥
وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ رَبِّ ٱجْعَلْ هَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدَ ءَامِنًۭا وَٱجْنُبْنِى وَبَنِىَّ أَن نَّعْبُدَ ٱلْأَصْنَامَ And when said Ibrahim, [Lord! Set this dwelling as peaceful, and alienate me and my lineage that we obey the idols.]

And when Abraham said: My Lord! Make safe this territory, and preserve me and my sons from serving idols. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When Abraham said, [My Lord! Make this city a sanctuary, and save me and my children from worshiping idols. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), consider when Abraham prayed, [Lord, make this (Mecca) a peaceful territory and save me and my offspring from worshipping idols. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when Ibrahim said: My Lord! make this city secure, and save me and my sons from worshipping idols: - Shakir, Habib

[Remember] when Abraham said, [My Lord, make this a city of peace and help me and my children to keep away from worshipping idols. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور اس وقت کو یاد کرو جب ابراہیم نے کہا کہ پروردگار اس شہر کو محفوظ بنادے اور مجھے اور میری اولاد کو بت پرستی سے بچائے رکھنا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یاد کرو وہ وقت جب ابراہیمؑ نے دعا کی تھی کہ ——پروردگار، اِس شہر کو امن کا شہر بنا اور مجھے اور میری اولاد کو بت پرستی سے بچا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور یاد کرو جب ابراہیم نے عرض کی اے میرے رب اس شہر کو امان والا کردے اور مجھے اور میرے بیٹوں کو بتوں کے پوجنے سے بچا - Ahmed Raza

اور وہ وقت یاد کرو جب ابراہیم نے (بارگاہ ایزدی میں) دعا کی تھی اے میرے پروردگار! اس شہر (مکہ) کو امن کی جگہ اور مجھے اور میری اولاد کو اس بات سے بچا کہ ہم بتوں کی پرستش کریں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
