سَلَٰمٌ
[Salutations
عَلَيْكُم
upon you
بِمَا
due to what
صَبَرْتُمْ
you persevered over;
ۚ
فَنِعْمَ
thus blessed is
عُقْبَى
the succession of
ٱلدَّارِ
the final residence.]
[Salutations upon you due to what you persevered over; thus blessed is the succession of the final residence.]

وَٱلَّذِينَ
And the ones who
يَنقُضُونَ
break
عَهْدَ
treaty of
ٱللَّهِ
the One
مِنۢ
from
بَعْدِ
after
مِيثَٰقِهِۦ
its ratification,
وَيَقْطَعُونَ
and they cut
مَآ
what
أَمَرَ
commanded
ٱللَّهُ
the One
بِهِۦٓ
about it
أَن
that
يُوصَلَ
it should be joined,
وَيُفْسِدُونَ
and they do corruption
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the land,
ۙ
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
those are
لَهُمُ
to whom is
ٱللَّعْنَةُ
the damnation
وَلَهُمْ
and for them is
سُوٓءُ
a hurtful
ٱلدَّارِ
destination.
١٣
٢٥
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَنقُضُونَ عَهْدَ ٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مِيثَٰقِهِۦ وَيَقْطَعُونَ مَآ أَمَرَ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦٓ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۙ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ ٱللَّعْنَةُ وَلَهُمْ سُوٓءُ ٱلدَّارِ And the ones who break treaty of the One from after its ratification, and they cut what commanded the One about it that it should be joined, and they do corruption in the land, those are to whom is the damnation and for them is a hurtful destination.

And those who break the covenant of Allah after ratifying it, and sever that which Allah hath commanded should be joined, and make mischief in the earth: theirs is the curse and theirs the ill abode. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

But as for those who break Allah]s compact after having pledged it solemnly, and sever what Allah has commanded to be joined, and cause corruption in the earth—it is such on whom the curse will lie, and for them will be the ills of the [ultimate] abode. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Those who disregard their covenant with God after He has taken such a pledge from them, who sever the proper relations that God has commanded them to establish, and those who spread evil in the land will have God's condemnation instead of reward and will face the most terrible end. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And those who break the covenant of Allah after its confirmation and cut asunder that which Allah has ordered to be joined and make mischief in the land; (as for) those, upon them shall be curse and they shall have the evil (issue) of the abode. - Shakir, Habib

As for those who break the covenant of God, after having confirmed it, who cut asunder what God has commanded to be joined and spread corruption in the land, a curse shall be laid on them; they shall have an evil abode. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جو لوگ عہدُ خدا کو توڑ دیتے ہیں اور جن سے تعلقات کا حکم دیا گیا ہے اان سے قطع تعلقات کرلیتے ہیں اور زمین میں فساد برپا کرتے ہیں ان کے لئے لعنت اور بدترین گھر ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

رہے وہ لوگ جو اللہ کے عہد کو مضبوط باندھ لینے کے بعد توڑ ڈالتے ہیں، جو اُن رابطوں کو کاٹتے ہیں جنہیں اللہ نے جوڑنے کا حکم دیا ہے، اور جو زمین میں فساد پھیلاتے ہیں، وہ لعنت کے مستحق ہیں اور ان کے لیے آخرت میں بہت برا ٹھکانا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور وہ جو اللہ کا عہد اس کے پکے ہونے کے بعد توڑتے اور جس کے جوڑنے کو اللہ نے فرمایا اسے قطع کرتے اور زمین میں فساد پھیلاتے ہیں ان کا حصہ لعنت ہی ہے اور اُن کا نصیبہ بُرا گھر - Ahmed Raza

ٱللَّهُ
The One
يَبْسُطُ
extends
ٱلرِّزْقَ
the provisions
لِمَن
for whom
يَشَآءُ
He desires
وَيَقْدِرُ
and He measures;
ۚ
وَفَرِحُوا۟
and be happy
بِٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
through the life of
ٱلدُّنْيَا
the World,
وَمَا
while not is
ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ
the life of
ٱلدُّنْيَا
the World
فِى
in
ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
the forth-coming
إِلَّا
except
مَتَٰعٌۭ
an enjoyment.
١٣
٢٦
ٱللَّهُ يَبْسُطُ ٱلرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيَقْدِرُ ۚ وَفَرِحُوا۟ بِٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ إِلَّا مَتَٰعٌۭ The One extends the provisions for whom He desires and He measures; and be happy through the life of the World, while not is the life of the World in the forth-coming except an enjoyment.

Allah enlargeth livelihood for whom He will, and straiteneth (it for whom He will); and they rejoice in the life of the world, whereas the life of the world is but brief comfort as compared with the Hereafter. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Allah expands the provision for whomever He wishes, and tightens it. They boast of the life of this world, but compared with the Hereafter the life of this world is but a [trifling] enjoyment. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
God gives abundant sustenance to whomever He wants and determines everyone's destiny. Some people are very happy with the worldly life. Compared to the life to come it is only a temporary means. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Allah amplifies and straitens the means of subsistence for whom He pleases; and they rejoice in this world's life, and this world's life is nothing compared with the hereafter but a temporary enjoyment. - Shakir, Habib

God gives abundantly to whom He will and sparingly to whom He pleases -- [those who deny the truth] rejoice in the life of this world; yet the life of this world is but a fleeting pleasure compared with the life to come. - Wahiduddin Khan

اللہ جس کے لئے چاہتا ہے رزق کو وسیع یا تنگ کردیتا ہے اور یہ لوگ صرف زندگانی دنیا پر خوش ہوگئے ہیں حالانکہ آخرت کے مقابلہ میں زندگانی دنیا صرف ایک وقتی لذّت کا درجہ رکھتی ہے اور بس - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اللہ جس کو چاہتا ہے رزق کی فراخی بخشتا ہے اور جسے چاہتا ہے کہ نپا تلا رزق دیتا ہے یہ لوگ دنیوی زندگی میں مگن ہیں، حالانکہ د نیا کی زندگی آخرت کے مقابلے میں ایک متاع قلیل کے سوا کچھ بھی نہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اللہ جس کے لیے چاہے رزق کشادہ اور تنگ کرتا ہے، اور کا فر دنیا کی زندگی پر اترا گئے (نازاں ہوئے) اور دنیا کی زندگی آخرت کے مقابل نہیں مگر کچھ دن برت لینا، - Ahmed Raza

اللہ جس کے رزق کو چاہتا ہے کشادہ کر دیتا ہے اور (جس کے لئے چاہتا ہے) تنگ کر دیتا ہے اور یہ (کافر) لوگ دنیوی زندگی سے خوش ہیں حالانکہ دنیا کی زندگی آخرت کی زندگی کے مقابلہ میں صرف ناپائیدار فائدہ ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And said
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
كَفَرُوا۟
are in denial,
لَوْلَآ
[How is it that
أُنزِلَ
are sent down
عَلَيْهِ
upon him
ءَايَةٌۭ
signs
مِّن
from
رَّبِّهِۦ
his Rabb?]
ۗ
قُلْ
Say,
إِنَّ
[Surely
ٱللَّهَ
the One
يُضِلُّ
misguides
مَن
whom
يَشَآءُ
He desires,
وَيَهْدِىٓ
and He guides
إِلَيْهِ
towards Him
مَنْ
who
أَنَابَ
follows (Him).
١٣
٢٧
وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَةٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُضِلُّ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهْدِىٓ إِلَيْهِ مَنْ أَنَابَ And said the ones who are in denial, [How is it that are sent down upon him signs from his Rabb?] Say, [Surely the One misguides whom He desires, and He guides towards Him who follows (Him).

Those who disbelieve say: If only a portent were sent down upon him from his Lord! Say: Lo! Allah sendeth whom He will astray, and guideth unto Himself all who turn (unto Him), - Pickthall, Marmaduke

The faithless say, [Why has not some sign been sent down to him from his Lord?] Say, [Indeed Allah leads astray whomever He wishes, and guides to Himself those who turn penitently [to Him] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
The unbelievers say, [Why have not some miracles been sent to him, (Muhammad), from his Lord.] Say, [God causes whomever He wants to go astray and He guides those who turn to Him in repentance - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And those who disbelieve say: Why is not a sign sent down upon him by his Lord? Say: Surely Allah makes him who will go astray, and guides to Himself those who turn (to Him). - Shakir, Habib
⦿
Those who deny the truth ask, [Why has no Sign been sent down to him by his Lord?] Say, [God lets go astray those whom He wills and guides to Himself those who turn to Him, - Wahiduddin Khan
⦿
اور یہ کافر کہتے ہیں کہ ان کے اوپر ہماری پسند کی نشانی کیوں نہیں نازل ہوتی تو پیغمبر کہہ دیجئے کہ اللہ جس کو چاہتا ہے گمراہی میں چھوڑ دیتا ہے اور جو اس کی طرف متوجہ ہوجاتے ہیں انہیں ہدایت دے دیتا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یہ لوگ جنہوں نے (رسالت محمدیؐ کو ماننے سے) انکار کر دیا ہے کہتے ہیں ——اِس شخص پر اِس کے رب کی طرف سے کوئی نشانی کیوں نہ اتری—— کہو، اللہ جسے چاہتا ہے گمراہ کر دیتا ہے اور وہ اپنی طرف آنے کا راستہ اُسی کو دکھاتا ہے جو اُس کی طرف رجوع کرے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور کافر کہتے ان پر کوئی نشانی ان کے رب کی طرف سے کیوں نہ اتری، تم فرماؤ بیشک اللہ جسے چاہے گمراہ کرتا ہے اور اپنی راہ اسے دیتا ہے جو اس کی طرف رجوع لائے، - Ahmed Raza

اور کافر لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ (اگر یہ نبی برحق ہیں) تو ان کے پروردگار کی طرف سے ان پر (ہماری پسند کی) کوئی نشانی کیوں نہیں اتاری گئی؟ کہہ دیجیئے! اللہ جسے چاہتا ہے گمراہی میں چھوڑتا ہے اور جو اس کی طرف رجوع کرتا ہے اسے ہدایت کرتا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

is it not that
بِذِكْرِ
through reminder of
ٱللَّهِ
the One is
تَطْمَئِنُّ
the calming of
ٱلْقُلُوبُ
the hearts?
١٣
٢٨
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُم بِذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ ۗ أَلَا بِذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ ٱلْقُلُوبُ The ones who believe and become calm their hearts through reminder of the One; is it not that through reminder of the One is the calming of the hearts?
⦿
Who have believed and whose hearts have rest in the remembrance of Allah. Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest! - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
—those who have faith and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah.] Behold! The hearts find rest in Allah]s remembrance! - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
and the faithful ones whose hearts are comforted by the remembrance of God. Remembrance of God certainly brings comfort to all hearts. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
Those who believe and whose hearts are set at rest by the remembrance of Allah; now surely by Allah's remembrance are the hearts set at rest. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
those who believe and whose hearts find comfort in the remembrance of God -- surely in the remembrance of God hearts can find comfort. - Wahiduddin Khan

یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جو ایمان لائے ہیں اور ان کے دُلوں کو یادُ خدا سے اطمینان حاصل ہوتا ہے اور آگاہ ہوجاؤ کہ اطمینان یادُ خدا سے ہی حاصل ہوتا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ایسے ہی لوگ ہیں وہ جنہوں نے (اِس نبی کی دعوت کو) مان لیا اور اُن کے دلوں کو اللہ کی یاد سے اطمینان نصیب ہوتا ہے خبردار رہو! اللہ کی یاد ہی وہ چیز ہے جس سے دلوں کو اطمینان نصیب ہوا کرتا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

وہ جو ایمان لائے اور ان کے دل اللہ کی یاد سے چین پاتے ہیں، سن لو اللہ کی یاد ہی میں دلوں کا چین ہے - Ahmed Raza

the constructive things,

goodness (is in store)
لَهُمْ
for them
وَحُسْنُ
and beautiful is
مَـَٔابٍۢ
that return.
The ones who had conviction and did the constructive things, goodness (is in store) for them and beautiful is that return.

Those who believe and do right: Joy is for them, and bliss (their) journey's end. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Thus We send thee (O Muhammad) unto a nation, before whom other nations have passed away, that thou mayst recite unto them that which We have inspired in thee, while they are disbelievers in the Beneficent. Say: He is my Lord; there is no Allah save Him. In Him do I put my trust and unto Him is my recourse. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

اسی طرح ہم نے آپ کو ایک ایسی قوم کے درمیان بھیجا ہے جس سے پہلے بہت سی قومیں گزر چکیِ ہیں تاکہ آپ ان چیزوں کی تلاوت کریں جنہیں ہم نے آپ کی طرف بذریعہ وحی نازل کیا ہے حالانکہ وہ لوگ رحمان کا انکار کرنے والے ہیں آپ ان سے کہئے کہ وہ میرا رب ہے اور اس کے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں ہے اسی پر میرا اعتماد ہے اور اسی کی طرف بازگشت ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اے محمدؐ، اِسی شان سے ہم نے تم کو رسول بنا کر بھیجا ہے، ایک ایسی قوم میں جس سے پہلے بہت سی قومیں گزر چکی ہیں، تاکہ تم اِن لوگوں کو وہ پیغام سناؤ جو ہم نے تم پر نازل کیا ہے، اِس حال میں کہ یہ اپنے نہایت مہربان خدا کے کافر بنے ہوئے ہیں اِن سے کہو کہ وہی میرا رب ہے، اُس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں ہے، اُسی پر میں نے بھروسہ کیا اور وہی میرا ملجا و ماویٰ ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اسی طرح ہم نے تم کو اس امت میں بھیجا جس سے پہلے امتیں ہو گزریں کہ تم انہیں پڑھ کر سناؤ جو ہم نے تمہاری طرف وحی کی اور وہ رحمن کے منکر ہورہے ہیں تم فرماؤ وہ میرا رب ہے اس کے سوا کسی کی بندگی نہیں میں نے اسی پر بھروسہ کیا اور اسی کی طرف میری رجوع ہے، - Ahmed Raza

Had it been possible for a Lecture to cause the mountains to move, or the earth to be torn asunder, or the dead to speak, (this Qur'an would have done so). Nay, but Allah's is the whole command. Do not those who believe know that, had Allah willed, He could have guided all mankind? As for those who disbelieve, disaster ceaseth not to strike them because of what they do, or it dwelleth near their home until the threat of Allah come to pass. Lo! Allah faileth not to keep the tryst. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

If only it were a Quran whereby the mountains could be moved, or the earth could be toured, or the dead could be spoken to.... Indeed, all dispensation belongs to Allah. Have not the faithful yet realised that had Allah wished He would have guided mankind all together? The faithless will continue to be visited by catastrophes because of their doings—or they will land near their habitations—until Allah]s promise comes to pass. Indeed Allah does not break His promise. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Even if the Quran would make mountains move, cut the earth into pieces and make the dead able to speak, (the unbelievers still would not believe). All affairs are in the hands of God. Do the believers still hope that they will believe? Had God wanted he could have guided the whole of mankind to the right path. The unbelievers will always suffer afflictions that result from their deeds or the affliction which occur near their homes, until God's promise of punishing them will be fulfilled. God does not disregard His promise. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And even if there were a Quran with which the mountains were made to pass away, or the earth were travelled over with it, or the dead were made to speak thereby; nay! the commandment is wholly Allah's, Have not yet those who believe known that if Allah please He would certainly guide all the people? And (as for) those who disbelieve, there will not cease to afflict them because of what they do a repelling calamity, or it will alight close by their abodes, until the promise of Allah comes about; surely Allah will not fail in (His) promise. - Shakir, Habib

Even if there were a Quran by which mountains could be set in motion, by which the earth could be rent asunder, or by which the dead could be made to speak [they would not believe in it]. Surely all things are subject to God's will. Are the faithful unaware that, had He pleased, God could have guided all mankind? Calamity shall not cease to strike those who deny the truth because of their misdeeds or to strike near their homes, until God's promise be fulfilled. اور اگر کوئی قرآن ایسا ہو جس سے پہاڑوں کو اپنی جگہ سے چلایا جاسکے یا زمین طے کی جاسکے یا لَردوں سے کلام کیا جاسکے -تو وہ یہی قرآن ہے- بلکہ تمام امور اللہ کے لئے ہیں تو کیا ایمان والوں پر واضح نہیں ہوا کہ اگر خدا جبرا چاہتا تو سارے انسانوں کو ہدایت دے دیتا اور ان کافروں پر ان کے کرتوت کی بنا پر ہمیشہ کوئی نہ کوئی مصیبت پڑتی رہے گی یا ان کے دیار کے آس پاس مصیبت آتی رہے گی یہاں تک کہ وعدہ الٰہی کا وقت آجائے کہ اللہ اپنے وعدہ کے خلاف نہیں کرتا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور کیا ہو جاتا اگر کوئی ایسا قرآن اتار دیا جاتا جس کے زور سے پہاڑ چلنے لگتے، یا زمین شق ہو جاتی، یا مُردے قبروں سے نکل کر بولنے لگتے؟ (اس طرح کی نشانیاں دکھا دینا کچھ مشکل نہیں ہے) بلکہ سارا اختیار ہی اللہ کے ہاتھ میں ہے پھر کیا اہل ایمان (ابھی تک کفار کی طلب کے جواب میں کسی نشانی کے ظہور کی آس لگا ئے بیٹھے ہیں اور وہ یہ جان کر) مایوس نہیں ہو گئے کہ اگر اللہ چاہتا تو سارے انسانوں کو ہدایت دے دیتا؟ جن لوگوں نے خدا کے ساتھ کفر کا رویہ اختیار کر ر کھا ہے اُن پر ان کے کرتوتوں کی وجہ سے کوئی نہ کوئی آفت آتی ہی رہتی ہے، یا ان کے گھر کے قریب کہیں نازل ہوتی ہے یہ سلسلہ چلتا رہے گا یہاں تک کہ اللہ کا وعدہ آن پورا ہو یقیناً اللہ اپنے وعدے کی خلاف ورزی نہیں کرتا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اگر کوئی ایسا قرآن آتا جس سے پہاڑ ٹل جاتے یا زمین پھٹ جاتی یا مردے باتیں کرتے جب بھی یہ کافر نہ مانتے بلکہ سب کام اللہ ہی کے اختیار ميں ہیں تو کیا مسلمان اس سے نا امید نہ ہوئے کہ اللہ چاہتا تو سب آدمیوں کو ہدایت کردیتا اور کافروں کو ہمیشہ کے لیے یہ سخت دھمک (ہلادینے والی مصیبت) پہنچتی رہے گی یا ان کے گھروں کے نزدیک اترے گی یہاں تک کہ اللہ کا وعدہ آئے بیشک اللہ وعدہ خلاف نہیں کرتا - Ahmed Raza

اور اگر کوئی ایسا قرآن ہوتا جس کے ذریعہ سے پہاڑ چلنے لگتے، یا زمین (کی مسافتیں) جلدی طے ہو جاتیں یا مردوں سے کلام کیا جا سکتا (تو وہ یہی قرآن ہوتا مگر وہ پھر بھی ایمان نہ لاتے) بلکہ یہ سب کام اللہ کے اختیار میں ہیں۔ کیا ایمان لانے والے اس بات سے مایوس نہیں ہوگئے اگر خدا (زبردستی) چاہتا تو سب لوگوں کو ہدایت کر دیتا! اور کافروں پر ان کے کرتوتوں کی پاداش میں کوئی نہ کوئی آفت آتی ہی رہے گی۔ یا ان کے گھروں کے آس پاس آتی رہے گی۔ یہاں تک کہ اللہ کے وعدہ کے (ظہور) کا وقت آجائے بے شک اللہ کبھی وعدہ خلافی نہیں کرتا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And verily messengers (of Allah) were mocked before thee, but long I bore with those who disbelieved. At length I seized them, and how (awful) was My punishment! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Apostles were certainly derided before you. But then I gave respite to those who were faithless, then I seized them; so how was My retribution? - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), people have mocked the Messengers who lived before you. I gave a respite to the unbelievers (so that they would repent, but they did not). Then I struck them with a terrible retribution. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Is He Who is aware of the deserts of every soul (as he who is aware of nothing)? Yet they ascribe unto Allah partners. Say: Name them. Is it that ye would inform Him of something which He knoweth not in the earth? Or is it but a way of speaking? Nay but their contrivance is made seeming fair for those who disbelieve and they are kept from the right road. He whom Allah sendeth astray, for him there is no guide. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Is He who sustains every soul in spite of what it earns [comparable to the idols]? Yet they ascribe partners to Allah! Say, [Name them!] Will you inform Him concerning something He does not know about on the earth, or concerning [what are] mere words? (Can anyone be considered equal to) the One who is the Guardian of every soul and the Watcher of what it has gained? Yet, the unbelievers have considered their idols equal to God. Say, [Name the attributes of your idols. Are you trying to tell God about something that does not exist on the earth? Do you only mention empty names? Evil plans have attracted the unbelievers and have misled them from the right path. No one can guide those whom God has caused to go astray. - Sarwar, Muhammad

کیا وہ ذات جو ہر نفس کے اعمال کی نگراں ہے اور انہوں نے اس کے لئے شریک فرض کرلئے ہیں تو کہئے کہ ذرا شرکائ کے نام تو بتاؤ تم خدا کو ان شرکائ کی خبر دے رہے ہو جن کی ساری زمین میں اسے بھی خبر نہیں ہے یا فقط یہ ظاہری الفاظ ہیں اور سچ تو یہ ہے کہ کافروں کے لئے ان کا مکر آراستہ ہوگیا ہے اور انہیں راہ حق سے روک دیا گیا ہے اور جسے خدا ہدایت نہ دے اس کا کوئی ہدایت کرنے والا نہیں ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پھر کیا وہ جو ایک ایک متنفس کی کمائی پر نظر رکھتا ہے (اُس کے مقابلے میں یہ جسارتیں کی جا رہی ہیں کہ) لوگوں نے اُس کے کچھ شریک ٹھیرا رکھے ہیں؟ اے نبیؐ، اِن سے کہو (اگر واقعی وہ خدا کے اپنے بنائے ہوئے شریک ہیں تو) ذرا اُن کے نا م لو کہ وہ کون ہیں؟ کیا تم اللہ کو ایک نئی بات کی خبر دے رہے ہو جسے وہ اپنی زمین میں نہیں جانتا؟ یا تم لوگ بس یونہی جو منہ میں آتا ہے کہہ ڈالتے ہو؟ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ جن لوگوں نے دعوت حق کو ماننے سے انکار کیا ہے ان کے لیے اُن کی مکاریاں خوشنما بنا دی گئی ہیں اور وہ راہ راست سے روک دیے گئے ہیں، پھر جس کو اللہ گمراہی میں پھینک دے اُسے کوئی راہ دکھانے والا نہیں ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

کیا وہ ذات جو ہر نفس کے (نیک و بد) اعمال پر نگران ہے کہ اس نے کیا کمایا ہے؟ (وہ ان کے خود ساختہ معبودوں جیسا ہے؟) ان لوگوں نے اللہ کے کچھ شریک بنا لئے ہیں؟ اے رسول ان سے کہو کہ آخر ان کے نام تو بتاؤ یا تم اس (اللہ) کو ایسی چیز کی خبر دیتے ہو جسے وہ (ہمہ دان ہو کر بھی) زمین میں نہیں جانتا کہ کہاں ہے؟ یا یونہی یہ ظاہری الفاظ ہیں (جن کا کوئی مصداق نہیں ہے) بلکہ کافروں کے لئے ان کا مکر و فریب خوشنما بنا دیا گیا ہے اور وہ راہ (راست) سے روک دیئے گئے ہیں اور جسے اللہ گمراہی میں چھوڑ دے (اور اسے ہدایت نہ دے) تو اسے کوئی ہدایت کرنے والا نہیں ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
