a reminder
لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ
for all the worlds.
And not you ask of them upon it of a reward; indeed it is nothing but a reminder for all the worlds.

We sent not before thee (any messengers) save men whom We inspired from among the folk of the townships - Have they not travelled in the land and seen the nature of the consequence for those who were before them? And verily the abode of the Hereafter, for those who ward off (evil), is best. Have ye then no sense? - - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We did not send [any apostles] before you except as men from among the people of the towns, to whom We revealed. Have they not travelled over the land so that they may observe how was the fate of those who were before them? And the abode of the Hereafter is surely better for those who are Godwary. The Messengers whom We sent before you were mere men of the people of the towns. We gave them revelations. Have they (the unbelievers) not travelled sufficiently through the land to see how terrible the end was of those who lived before. The next life is, certainly, better for the pious ones. اے محمدؐ، تم سے پہلے ہم نے جو پیغمبر بھیجے تھے وہ سب بھی انسان ہی تھے، اور انہی بستیوں کے رہنے والوں میں سے تھے، اور اُنہی کی طرف ہم وحی بھیجتے رہے ہیں پھر کیا یہ لوگ زمین میں چلے پھرے نہیں ہیں کہ اُن قوموں کا انجام انہیں نظر نہ آیا جو ان سے پہلے گزر چکی ہیں؟ یقیناً آخرت کا گھر اُن لوگوں کے لیے اور زیادہ بہتر ہے جنہوں نے (پیغمبروں کی بات مان کر) تقویٰ کی روش اختیار کی کیا اب بھی تم لوگ نہ سمجھو گے؟ - Maududi, Abul A'ala

Till, when the messengers despaired and thought that they were denied, then came unto them Our help, and whom We would was saved. And Our wrath cannot be warded from the guilty. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When the apostles lost hope and they thought that they had been told lies, Our help came to them, and We delivered whomever We wished, and Our punishment will not be averted from the guilty lot. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(پہلے پیغمبروں کے ساتھ بھی یہی ہوتا رہا ہے کہ وہ مدتوں نصیحت کرتے رہے اور لوگوں نے سن کر نہ دیا) یہاں تک کہ جب پیغمبر لوگوں سے مایوس ہو گئے اور لوگوں نے بھی سمجھ لیا کہ اُن سے جھوٹ بولا گیا تھا، تو یکا یک ہماری مدد پیغمبروں کو پہنچ گئی پھر جب ایسا موقع آ جاتا ہے تو ہمارا قاعدہ یہ ہے کہ جسے ہم چاہتے ہیں بچا لیتے ہیں اور مجرموں پر سے تو ہمارا عذاب ٹالا ہی نہیں جا سکتا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

For sure

intellect.
ۗ
مَا
Not
كَانَ
were
حَدِيثًۭا
(these) narrations / hadith
يُفْتَرَىٰ
that were fabricated,
وَلَٰكِن
but instead
تَصْدِيقَ
are a confirmation
ٱلَّذِى
of that which is
بَيْنَ
between
يَدَيْهِ
His hands,
وَتَفْصِيلَ
and details
كُلِّ
all
شَىْءٍۢ
things,
وَهُدًۭى
and a guidance,
وَرَحْمَةًۭ
and mercy,
لِّقَوْمٍۢ
for a nation
يُؤْمِنُونَ
that has conviction.

لَقَدْ كَانَ فِى قَصَصِهِمْ عِبْرَةٌۭ لِّأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ ۗ مَا كَانَ حَدِيثًۭا يُفْتَرَىٰ وَلَٰكِن تَصْدِيقَ ٱلَّذِى بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَتَفْصِيلَ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ وَهُدًۭى وَرَحْمَةًۭ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يُؤْمِنُونَ For sure were in their stories, lessons for the foremost of intellect. Not were (these) narrations / hadith that were fabricated, but instead are a confirmation of that which is between His hands, and details all things, and a guidance, and mercy, for a nation that has conviction.

In their history verily there is a lesson for men of understanding. It is no invented story but a confirmation of the existing (Scripture) and a detailed explanation of everything, and a guidance and a mercy for folk who believe. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
