وَلَقَدْ جَآءَتْ رُسُلُنَآ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ بِٱلْبُشْرَىٰ قَالُوا۟ سَلَٰمًۭا ۖ قَالَ سَلَٰمٌۭ ۖ فَمَا لَبِثَ أَن جَآءَ بِعِجْلٍ حَنِيذٍۢ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And Our messengers cam unto Abraham with good news. They said: Peace! He answered: Peace! and delayed not to bring a roasted calf. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Certainly Our messengers came to Abraham with the good news, and said, [Peace!] [Peace!] He replied. Presently he brought [for them] a roasted calf. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Our Messengers came to Abraham with glad news. They said, [Peace be with you.] He replied similarly. After a short time he presented them with a roasted calf - Sarwar, Muhammad

And certainly Our apostles came to Ibrahim with good news. They said: Peace. Peace, said he, and he made no delay in bringing a roasted calf. - Shakir, Habib

اور ابراہیم کے پاس ہمارے نمائندے بشارت لے کر آئے اور آکر سلام کیا تو ابراہیم نے بھی سلام کیا اور تھوڑی دیر نہ گزری تھی کہ بھنا ہوا بچھڑا لے آئے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

فَلَمَّا رَءَآ أَيْدِيَهُمْ لَا تَصِلُ إِلَيْهِ نَكِرَهُمْ وَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةًۭ ۚ قَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفْ إِنَّآ أُرْسِلْنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوْمِ لُوطٍۢ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And when he saw their hands reached not to it, he mistrusted them and conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not! Lo! we are sent unto the folk of Lot. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

But when he saw their hands not reaching for it, he took them amiss and felt a fear of them. They said, [Do not be afraid. We have been sent to the people of Lot.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

but when he saw that their hands did not reach out for it, he could not know who they were and became afraid of them. They said, [Do not be afraid; we are God's angelic Messengers sent to the people of Lot.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

But when he saw that their hands were not extended towards it, he deemed them strange and conceived fear of them. They said: Fear not, surely we are sent to Lut's people. - Shakir, Habib

But when he saw that they made no move to eat, he found this strange and became afraid of them. They said, [Do not be afraid, for we have been sent to the people of Lot.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جب دیکھا کہ ان لوگوں کے ہاتھ ادھر نہیں بڑھ رہے ہیں تو تعجب کیا اور ان کی طرف سے خوف محسوس کیا انہوں نے کہا کہ آپ ڈریں نہیں ہم قوم لوط کی طرف بھیجے گئے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

مگر جب دیکھا کہ ان کے ہاتھ کھانے پر نہیں بڑھتے تو وہ ان سے مشتبہ ہو گیا اور دل میں ان سے خوف محسوس کرنے لگا اُنہوں نے کہا ——ڈرو نہیں، ہم تو لوطؑ کی قوم کی طرف بھیجے گئے ہیں—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

پھر جب دیکھا کہ ان کے ہاتھ کھانے کی طرف نہیں پہنچتے ان کو اوپری سمجھا اور جی ہی جی میں ان سے ڈرنے لگا، بولے ڈریے نہیں ہم قوم لوط کی طرف بھیجے گئے ہیں، - Ahmed Raza

وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ قَآئِمَةٌۭ فَضَحِكَتْ فَبَشَّرْنَٰهَا بِإِسْحَٰقَ وَمِن وَرَآءِ إِسْحَٰقَ يَعْقُوبَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And his wife, standing by laughed when We gave her good tidings (of the birth) of Isaac, and, after Isaac, of Jacob. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

She said: Oh woe is me! Shall I bear a child when I am an old woman, and this my husband is an old man? Lo! this is a strange thing! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

She said, [Oh, my! Shall I, an old woman, bear [children], and [while] this husband of mine is an old man?! That is indeed an odd thing!] - Qarai, Ali Quli

قَالُوٓا۟ أَتَعْجَبِينَ مِنْ أَمْرِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ رَحْمَتُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَٰتُهُۥ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ ٱلْبَيْتِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ حَمِيدٌۭ مَّجِيدٌۭ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

They said: Wonderest thou at the commandment of Allah? The mercy of Allah and His blessings be upon you, O people of the house! Lo! He is Owner of Praise, Owner of Glory! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They said, [Are you amazed at Allah]s dispensation? [That is] Allah]s mercy and His blessings upon you, members of the household. Indeed He is all-laudable, all-glorious.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

They replied, [Would you be surprised at God's decree? People of the house, may God's mercy and blessings be with you. God is Appreciative and Glorious.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

They said: Do you wonder at Allah's bidding? The mercy of Allah and His blessings are on you, O people of the house, surely He is Praised, Glorious. - Shakir, Habib

They said, [Are you astonished at God's command? May the mercy of God and His blessings be upon you, O people of this house. Surely, He is praiseworthy and glorious.] - Wahiduddin Khan

فرشتوں نے کہا کہ کیا تمہیں حکم الٰہی میں تعجب ہورہا ہے اللہ کی رحمت اور برکت تم گھر والوں پر ہے وہ قابلِ حمد اور صاحب همجد و بزرگی ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

And when the awe departed from Abraham, and the glad news reached him, he pleaded with Us on behalf of the folk of Lot. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

(It was said) O Abraham! Forsake this! Lo! thy Lord's commandment hath gone forth, and lo! there cometh unto them a doom which cannot be repelled. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And when Our messengers came unto Lot, he was distressed and knew not how to protect them. He said: This is a distressful day. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

وَجَآءَهُۥ قَوْمُهُۥ يُهْرَعُونَ إِلَيْهِ وَمِن قَبْلُ كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ ۚ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ بَنَاتِى هُنَّ أَطْهَرُ لَكُمْ ۖ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَلَا تُخْزُونِ فِى ضَيْفِىٓ ۖ أَلَيْسَ مِنكُمْ رَجُلٌۭ رَّشِيدٌۭ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And his people came unto him, running towards him - and before then they used to commit abominations - He said: O my people! Here are my daughters! They are purer for you. Beware of Allah, and degrade me not in (the person of) my guests. Is there not among you any upright man? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Then his people came running toward him, and they had been committing vices aforetime. He said, [O my people, these are my daughters: they are purer for you. Be wary of Allah and do not humiliate me with regard to my guests. Is there not a right-minded man among you?] - Qarai, Ali Quli

He said: O my people! these are my daughters-- they are purer for you, so guard against (the punishment of) Allah and do not disgrace me with regard to my guests; is there not among you one right-minded man? - Shakir, Habib

اور ان کی قوم دوڑتی ہوئی آگئی اور اس کے پہلے بھی یہ لوگ ایسے برے کام کررہے تھے لوط نے کہا اے قوم یہ ہماری لڑکیاں تمہارے لئے زیادہ پاکیزہ ہیں خدا سے ڈرو اور مہمانوں کے بارے میں مجھے شرمندہ نہ کرو کیا تم میں کوئی سمجھدار آدمی نہیں ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

(ان مہمانوں کا آنا تھا کہ) اس کی قوم کے لوگ بے اختیار اس کے گھر کی طرف دوڑ پڑے پہلے سے وہ ایسی ہی بد کاریوں کے خوگر تھے لوطؑ نے ان سے کہا ——بھائیو، یہ میری بیٹیاں موجود ہیں، یہ تمہارے لیے پاکیزہ تر ہیں کچھ خدا کا خوف کرو اور میرے مہمانوں کے معاملے میں مجھے ذلیل نہ کرو کیا تم میں کوئی بھلا آدمی نہیں؟—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اس کے پاس کی قوم دوڑتی آئی، ور انہیں آگے ہی سے برے کاموں کی عادت پڑی تھی کہا اے قوم! یہ میری قوم کی بیٹیاں ہیں یہ تمہارے لیے ستھری ہیں تو اللہ سے ڈرو اور مجھے میرے مہمانوں میں رسوا نہ کرو، کیا تم میں ایک آدمی بھی نیک چلن نہیں، - Ahmed Raza

ان کی قوم کے لوگ (نوخیز مہمانوں کی آمد کی خبر سن کر) دوڑتے ہوئے ان کے پاس آئے وہ پہلے سے ہی ایسی بدکاریوں کے عادی ہو رہے تھے لوط(ع) نے کہا اے میری قوم! یہ میری بیٹیاں موجود ہیں یہ تمہارے لئے مناسب اور پاکیزہ ہیں سو اللہ سے ڈرو۔ اور میرے مہمانوں کے معاملہ میں مجھے رسوا نہ کرو۔ کیا تم میں کوئی بھلامانس نہیں ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
