A likely thing, that thou wouldst forsake aught of that which hath been revealed unto thee, and that thy breast should be straitened for it, because they say: Why hath not a treasure been sent down for him, or an angel come with him? Thou art but a warner, and Allah is in charge of all things. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

[Look out] lest you should disregard aught of what has been revealed to you, and be upset because they say, [Why has not a treasure been sent down to him, or [why does] not an angel accompany him?] You are only a warner, and Allah watches over all things. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Then, it may be that you will give up part of what is revealed to you and your breast will become straitened by it because they say: Why has not a treasure been sent down upon him or an angel come with him? You are only a warner; and Allah is custodian over all things. - Shakir, Habib

تو اے پیغمبرؐ! کہیں ایسا نہ ہو کہ تم اُن چیزوں میں سے کسی چیز کو (بیان کر نے سے) چھوڑ دو جو تمہاری طرف وحی کی جا رہی ہیں اور اِس بات پر دل تنگ ہو کہ وہ کہیں گے ——اس شخص پر کوئی خزانہ کیوں نہ اتارا گیا—— یا یہ کہ ——اس کے ساتھ کوئی فرشتہ کیوں نہ آیا—— تم تو محض خبردار کرنے والے ہو، آگے ہر چیز کا حوالہ دار اللہ ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

(اے پیغمبر(ص)) آپ کی طرف جو وحی کی جاتی ہے تو کیا آپ (کفار کی باتوں سے متاثر ہوکر) اس کا کچھ حصہ چھوڑ دیں گے اور کیا آپ کا سینہ تنگ ہو جائے گا کیونکہ وہ کہتے ہیں کہ ان پر کوئی خزانہ کیوں نہیں اتارا گیا؟ یا ان کے ساتھ کوئی فرشتہ کیوں نہیں آیا؟ (آپ ہرگز ایسا نہیں کر سکتے اور نہ ہی کرنا چاہیئے کیونکہ) آپ تو بس (عذابِ الٰہی سے) ڈرانے والے ہیں اور اللہ ہی ہر چیز پر نگہبان ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Or they say: He hath invented it. Say: Then bring ten surahs, the like thereof, invented, and call on everyone ye can beside Allah, if ye are truthful! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Do they say, [He has fabricated it?] Say, [Then bring ten surahs like it, fabricated, and invoke whomever you can, besides Allah, should you be truthful.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Do they, (the unbelievers), say that (Muhammad) has falsely ascribed (the Quran) to God? Ask them, [Compose ten chapters like (those of the Quran) and call on whomever you can for help besides God if you are true in your claim. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Or, do they say: He has forged it. Say: Then bring ten forged chapters like it and call upon whom you can besides Allah, if you are truthful. - Shakir, Habib

And if they answer not your prayer, then know that it is revealed only in the knowledge of Allah; and that there is no Allah save Him. Will ye then be (of) those who surrender? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Whoso desireth the life of the world and its pomp, We shall repay them their deeds herein, and therein they will not be wronged. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

As for those who desire the life of this world and its glitter, We will recompense them fully for their works therein, and they shall not be underpaid in it. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Those who choose the worldly life and its pleasures will be given proper recompense for their deeds in this life and will not suffer any loss. - Sarwar, Muhammad

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَيْسَ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ إِلَّا ٱلنَّارُ ۖ وَحَبِطَ مَا صَنَعُوا۟ فِيهَا وَبَٰطِلٌۭ مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Those are they for whom is naught in the Hereafter save the Fire. (All) that they contrive here is vain and (all) that they are wont to do is fruitless. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

یہ وہ (بدنصیب) لوگ ہیں جن کیلئے آخرت (کی زندگی) میں دوزخ کی آگ کے سوا کچھ نہیں ہے۔ اور انہوں نے اس (دنیا) میں جو کچھ کیا تھا وہ سب اکارت ہو جائے گا اور وہ جو کچھ کرتے تھے وہ سب باطل ہو جائے گا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Is he (to be counted equal with them) who relieth on a clear proof from his Lord, and a witness from Him reciteth it, and before it was the Book of Moses, an example and a mercy? Such believe therein, and whoso disbelieveth therein of the clans, the Fire is his appointed place. So be not thou in doubt concerning it. Lo! it is the Truth from thy Lord; but most of mankind believe not. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Is he who stands on a manifest proof from his Lord, and whom a witness of his own [family] follows? And before him there was the Book of Moses, a guide and mercy. It is they who have faith in it, and whoever defies him from among the factions, the Fire is their tryst. So do not be in doubt about it; it is the truth from your Lord, but most people do not have faith. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Should they be compared with those whose Lord has given them a guidance which is testified by a witness from among their own people and by the Book of Moses, a guide and a mercy. Such people do believe in this guidance (in the Quran). Those who disbelieve (in the Quran) will have hell as their dwelling place. Thus, (Muhammad), have no doubt about it (the Quran). It is certainly the truth from your Lord, yet many people do not have faith. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Is he then who has with him clear proof from his Lord, and a witness from Him recites it and before it (is) the Book of Musa, a guide and a mercy? These believe in it; and whoever of the (different) parties disbelieves in it, surely it is the truth from your Lord, but most men do not believe. - Shakir, Habib

کیا جو شخص اپنے رب کی طرف سے کھلی دلیل رکھتا ہے اور اس کے پیچھے اس کا گواہ بھی ہے اور اس کے پہلے موسٰی کی کتاب گواہی دے رہی ہے جو قوم کے لئے پیشوا اور رحمت تھی -وہ افترا کرے گا بیشک صاحبانِ ایمان اسی پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں اور جو لوگ اس کا انکار کرتے ہیں ان کاٹھکانہ جہنم ّہے تو خبردار تم اس قرآن کی طرف سے شک میں مبتلا نہ ہونا -یہ خدا کی طرف سے برحق ہے اگرچہ اکثر لوگ اس پر ایمان نہیں لاتے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پھر بھلا وہ شخص جو اپنے رب کی طرف سے ایک صاف شہادت رکھتا تھا، اس کے بعد ایک گواہ بھی پروردگار کی طرف سے (اس شہادت کی تائید میں) آ گیا، اور پہلے موسیٰؑ کی کتاب رہنما اور رحمت کے طور پر آئی ہوئی بھی موجود تھی (کیا وہ بھی دنیا پرستوں کی طرح اس سے انکار کرسکتا ہے؟) ایسے لوگ تو اس پر ایمان ہی لائیں گے اور انسانی گروہوں میں سے جو کوئی اس کا انکار کرے تو اس کے لیے جس جگہ کا وعدہ ہے وہ دوزخ ہے پس اے پیغمبرؐ، تم اِس چیز کی طرف سے کسی شک میں نہ پڑنا، یہ حق ہے تمہارے رب کی طرف سے مگر اکثر لوگ نہیں مانتے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تو کیا وہ جو اپنے رب کی طرف سے روشن دلیل پر ہو اور اس پر اللہ کی طرف سے گواہ آئے اور اس سے پہلے موسیٰ کی کتاب پیشوا اور رحمت وہ اس پر ایمان لاتے ہیں، اور جو اس کا منکر ہو سارے گروہوں میں تو آگ اس کا وعدہ ہے تو اے سننے والے! تجھے کچھ اس میں شک نہ ہو، بیشک وہ حق ہے تیرے رب کی طرف سے لیکن بہت آدمی ایمان نہیں رکھتے، - Ahmed Raza

Who doeth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie concerning Allah? Such will be brought before their Lord, and the witnesses will say: These are they who lied concerning their Lord. Now the curse of Allah is upon wrong-doers, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Who is a greater wrongdoer than him who fabricates a lie against Allah? Such shall be presented before their Lord, and the witnesses will say, [It is these who lied against their Lord.] Behold! The curse of Allah is upon the wrongdoers - Qarai, Ali Quli

Who are more unjust than those who ascribe falsehood to God? When such people are brought into the presence of their Lord, the witness will say, [These are the ones who told lies about their Lord. Certainly God will condemn the unjust - Sarwar, Muhammad

And who is more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah? These shall be brought before their Lord, and the witnesses shall say: These are they who lied against their Lord. Now surely the curse of Allah is on the unjust. - Shakir, Habib

Who does greater wrong than the one who fabricates a lie against God? Such people shall be brought before their Lord, and the witnesses will say, [These are the ones who lied about their Lord.] Surely God's rejection is merited by such wrongdoers. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور اس سے بڑا ظالم کون ہے جو اللہ پر جھوٹا الزام لگاتا ہے. یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جو خدا کے سامنے پیش کئے جائیں گے تو سارے گواہ گواہی دیں گے کہ ان لوگوں نے خدا کے بارے میں غلط بیانی سے کام لیا ہے تو آگاہ ہوجاؤ کہ ظالمین پر خدا کی لعنت ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور اُس شخص سے بڑھ کر ظالم اور کون ہوگا جو اللہ پر جھوٹ گھڑے؟ ایسے لوگ اپنے رب کے حضور پیش ہوں گے اور گواہ شہادت دیں گے کہ یہ ہیں وہ لوگ جنہوں نے اپنے رب پر جھوٹ گھڑا تھا سنو! خدا کی لعنت ہے ظالموں پر - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اس سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون جو اللہ پر جھوٹ باندھے اور اپنے رب کے حضور پیش کیے جائیں گے اور گواہ کہیں گے یہ ہیں جنہوں نے اپنے رب پر جھوٹ بولا تھا، ارے ظا لموں پر خدا کی لعنت - Ahmed Raza
