If only there had been among the generations before you men possessing a remnant (of good sense) to warn (their people) from corruption in the earth, as did a few of those whom We saved from them! The wrong-doers followed that by which they were made sapless, and were guilty. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Why were there not among the generations before you a remnant [of the wise] who might forbid corruption in the earth, except a few of those whom We delivered from among them? Those who were wrongdoers pursued that in which they had been granted affluence, and they were a guilty lot. - Qarai, Ali Quli

پھر کیوں نہ اُن قوموں میں جو تم سے پہلے گزر چکی ہیں ایسے اہل خیر موجود رہے جو لوگوں کو زمین میں فساد برپا کرنے سے روکتے؟ ایسے لوگ نکلے بھی تو بہت کم، جن کو ہم نے ان قوموں میں سے بچا لیا، ورنہ ظالم لوگ تو انہی مزوں کے پیچھے پڑے رہے جن کے سامان انہیں فراوانی کے ساتھ دیے گئے تھے اور وہ مجرم بن کر رہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

Save him on whom thy Lord hath mercy; and for that He did create them. And the Word of thy Lord hath been fulfilled: Verily I shall fill hell with the jinn and mankind together. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

except those on whom your Lord has mercy—and that is why He created them—and the word of your Lord has been fulfilled: [I will surely fill hell with jinn and humans, all together!] - Qarai, Ali Quli

وَكُلًّۭا نَّقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ أَنۢبَآءِ ٱلرُّسُلِ مَا نُثَبِّتُ بِهِۦ فُؤَادَكَ ۚ وَجَآءَكَ فِى هَٰذِهِ ٱلْحَقُّ وَمَوْعِظَةٌۭ وَذِكْرَىٰ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And all that We relate unto thee of the story of the messengers is in order that thereby We may make firm thy heart. And herein hath come unto thee the Truth and an exhortation and a reminder for believers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Whatever We relate to you of the accounts of the apostles are those by which We strengthen your heart, and there has come to you in this [surah] the truth and an advice and admonition for the faithful. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), We tell you all the stories of the Messengers which will strengthen your heart. In the Quran We have revealed the Truth to you with good advice and reminders for the faithful ones. - Sarwar, Muhammad
