فَٱلْيَوْمَ نُنَجِّيكَ بِبَدَنِكَ لِتَكُونَ لِمَنْ خَلْفَكَ ءَايَةًۭ ۚ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ عَنْ ءَايَٰتِنَا لَغَٰفِلُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]
⦿
But this day We save thee in thy body that thou mayst be a portent for those after thee. Lo! most of mankind are heedless of Our portents. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

So today We shall deliver your body so that you may be a sign for those who come after you.] Indeed many of the people are oblivious to Our signs. - Qarai, Ali Quli

وَلَقَدْ بَوَّأْنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ مُبَوَّأَ صِدْقٍۢ وَرَزَقْنَٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ فَمَا ٱخْتَلَفُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْعِلْمُ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقْضِى بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا۟ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And We verily did allot unto the Children of Israel a fixed abode, and did provide them with good things; and they differed not until the knowledge came unto them. Lo! thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they used to differ. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Certainly We settled the Children of Israel in a worthy settlement and We provided them with all the good things, and they did not differ until [after] the knowledge had come to them. And if thou (Muhammad) art in doubt concerning that which We reveal unto thee, then question those who read the Scripture (that was) before thee. Verily the Truth from thy Lord hath come unto thee. So be not thou of the waverers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

So if you are in doubt about what We have sent down to you, ask those who read the Book [revealed] before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord; so do not be among the skeptics. - Qarai, Ali Quli

اگر (بالفرض) آپ کو اس (قرآن میں) کچھ شک ہے جو ہم نے آپ کی طرف نازل کیا ہے تو پھر ان لوگوں (اہل کتاب) سے پوچھ لو جو آپ سے پہلے کتابیں (توراۃ و انجیل وغیرہ) پڑھتے رہتے ہیں۔ بے شک آپ کے پروردگار کی طرف سے آپ کے پاس حق آیا ہے لہٰذا ہرگز شک کرنے والوں میں سے نہ ہونا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

فَلَوْلَا كَانَتْ قَرْيَةٌ ءَامَنَتْ فَنَفَعَهَآ إِيمَٰنُهَآ إِلَّا قَوْمَ يُونُسَ لَمَّآ ءَامَنُوا۟ كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْخِزْىِ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَمَتَّعْنَٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍۢ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

If only there had been a community (of all those that were destroyed of old) that believed and profited by its belief as did the folk of Jonah! When they believed We drew off from them the torment of disgrace in the life of the world and gave them comfort for a while. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Why has there not been any town that might believe, so that its belief might benefit it, except the people of Jonah? When they believed, We removed from them the punishment of disgrace in the life of this world, and We provided for them for a while. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Why did no one except the people of Jonah believe (in their punishment before their death) so that they could have benefitted from their faith? پھر کیا ایسی کوئی مثال ہے کہ ایک بستی عذاب دیکھ کر ایمان لائی ہو اور اس کا ایمان اس کے لیے نفع بخش ثابت ہوا ہو؟ یونسؑ کی قوم کے سوا (اس کی کوئی نظیر نہیں) وہ قوم جب ایمان لے آئی تھی تو البتہ ہم نے اس پر سے دنیا کی زندگی میں رسوائی کا عذاب ٹال دیا تھا اور اس کو ایک مدت تک زندگی سے بہرہ مند ہونے کا موقع دے دیا تھا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

ٱلرِّجْسَ

عَلَى

ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
لَا
do not
يَعْقِلُونَ
use their intelligence.

وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفْسٍ أَن تُؤْمِنَ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَيَجْعَلُ ٱلرِّجْسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ And not was for a psyche that it has conviction except through authorization of the One; and is made the filth upon the ones who do not use their intelligence.

It is not for any soul to believe save by the permission of Allah. He hath set uncleanness upon those who have no sense. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

تُغْنِى
can make affluent
ٱلْـَٔايَٰتُ
the signs,
وَٱلنُّذُرُ
nor (the signs) can be a warning
عَن
in front of
قَوْمٍۢ
a nation which
لَّا
not
يُؤْمِنُونَ
has trust.]

قُلِ ٱنظُرُوا۟ مَاذَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَمَا تُغْنِى ٱلْـَٔايَٰتُ وَٱلنُّذُرُ عَن قَوْمٍۢ لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ Say, [Look at what is there in the heavens and the Earth; while not can make affluent the signs, nor (the signs) can be a warning in front of a nation which not has trust.]

Say: Behold what is in the heavens and the earth! But revelations and warnings avail not folk who will not believe. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Say, [Observe what is in the heavens and the earth.] But neither signs nor warnings avail a people who have no faith. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), tell them to consider that which is in the heavens and the earth. Evidence and warnings are of no avail to the disbelieving people. - Sarwar, Muhammad

before them?
ۚ
قُلْ
Say,
فَٱنتَظِرُوٓا۟
[Then wait!
إِنِّى
I am
مَعَكُم
with you
مِّنَ
of
ٱلْمُنتَظِرِينَ
the ones who are awaiting.]

فَهَلْ يَنتَظِرُونَ إِلَّا مِثْلَ أَيَّامِ ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوْا۟ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ قُلْ فَٱنتَظِرُوٓا۟ إِنِّى مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُنتَظِرِينَ So is it that you await except like periods of the ones who left from before them? Say, [Then wait! I am with you of the ones who are awaiting.]

What expect they save the like of the days of those who passed away before them? Say: Expect then! I am with you among the expectant. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Do they await anything except the like of the days of those who passed away before them? Say, [Then wait! I too am waiting along with you.] - Qarai, Ali Quli
