إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ يَهْدِيهِمْ رَبُّهُم بِإِيمَٰنِهِمْ ۖ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهِمُ ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ فِى جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Lo! those who believe and do good works, their Lord guideth them by their faith. Rivers will flow beneath them in the Gardens of Delight, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Indeed those who have faith and do righteous deeds, their Lord guides them by the means of their faith. Streams will run for them in gardens of bliss. - Qarai, Ali Quli

The righteously striving believers receive, through their faith, guidance from their Lord to the bountiful gardens wherein streams flow. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, their Lord will guide them by their faith; there shall flow from beneath them rivers in gardens of bliss. - Shakir, Habib

اور یہ بھی حقیقت ہے کہ جو لوگ ایمان لائے (یعنی جنہوں نے اُن صداقتوں کو قبول کر لیا جو اس کتاب میں پیش کی گئی ہیں) اور نیک اعمال کرتے رہے انہیں اُن کا رب اُن کے ایمان کی وجہ سے سیدھی راہ چلائے گا، نعمت بھری جنتوں میں ان کے نیچے نہریں بہیں گی - Maududi, Abul A'ala

بیشک جو ایمان لائے اور اچھے کام کیے ان کا رب ان کے ایمان کے سبب انھیں راہ دے گا ان کے نیچے نہریں بہتی ہوں گی نعمت کے باغوں میں، - Ahmed Raza

دَعْوَىٰهُمْ فِيهَا سُبْحَٰنَكَ ٱللَّهُمَّ وَتَحِيَّتُهُمْ فِيهَا سَلَٰمٌۭ ۚ وَءَاخِرُ دَعْوَىٰهُمْ أَنِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Their prayer therein will be: Glory be to Thee, O Allah! and their greeting therein will be: Peace. And the conclusion of their prayer will be: Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Their call therein will be, [O Allah! Immaculate are You!] and their greeting therein will be, [Peace!] and their concluding call, [All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Their prayer shall be, [Glory be to you Lord,] and their greeting, [Peace be with you,] and the only other words (of worldly speech) they will speak will be, [It is God, Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

وہاں ان کا قول یہ ہوگا کہ خدایا تو پاک اور بے نیاز ہے اور ان کا تحفہ سلام ہوگا اور ان کا آخری بیان یہ ہوگا کہ ساری تعریف خدائے رب العالمین کے لئے ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

وہاں ان کی صدا یہ ہوگی کہ “پاک ہے تو اے خدا، —— اُن کی دعا یہ ہوگی کہ “سلامتی ہو —— اور ان کی ہر بات کا خاتمہ اس پر ہوگا کہ “ساری تعریف اللہ رب العالمین ہی کے لیے ہے —— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

ان کی دعا اس میں یہ ہوگی کہ اللہ تجھے پاکی ہے اور ان کے ملتے وقت خوشی کا پہلا بول سلام ہے اور ان کی دعا کا خاتمہ یہ ہے کہ سب خوبیوں کو سراہا اللہ جو رب ہے سارے جہان کا - Ahmed Raza

وَلَوْ يُعَجِّلُ ٱللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ ٱلشَّرَّ ٱسْتِعْجَالَهُم بِٱلْخَيْرِ لَقُضِىَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَجَلُهُمْ ۖ فَنَذَرُ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا فِى طُغْيَٰنِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]
⦿
If Allah were to hasten on for men the ill (that they have earned) as they would hasten on the good, their respite would already have expired. But We suffer those who look not for the meeting with Us to wander blindly on in their contumacy. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Were Allah to hasten ill for mankind with their haste for good, their term would have been over. But We leave those who do not expect to encounter Us bewildered in their rebellion. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Had God been as hasty to punish people as they were hasty to achieve good, their life would have already ended. We will leave those who have no hope of receiving Our mercy, in the life hereafter, to continue blindly in their transgression. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And if Allah should hasten the evil to men as they desire the hastening on of good, their doom should certainly have been decreed for them; but We leave those alone who hope not for Our meeting in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on. - Shakir, Habib

Had God hastened the punishment of men as He hastens the good, the end of their term of life would already have been reached. We leave those who do not hope to meet Us groping along in their arrogance. - Wahiduddin Khan

اگر خدا لوگوں کے لئے برائی میں بھی اتنی ہی جلدی کردیتا جتنی یہ لوگ بھلائی میں چاہتے ہیں تو اب تک ان کی مدت کا فیصلہ ہوچکا ہوتا - ہم تو اپنی ملاقات کی امید نہ رکھنے والوں کو ان کی سرکشی میں چھوڑ دیتے ہیں کہ یہ یونہی ٹھوکریں کھاتے پھریں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اگر کہیں اللہ لوگوں کے ساتھ برا معاملہ کرنے میں بھی اتنی ہی جلدی کرتا جتنی وہ دنیا کی بھلائی مانگنے میں جلدی کرتے ہیں تو ان کی مہلت عمل کبھی کی ختم کر دی گئی ہوتی (مگر ہمارا یہ طریقہ نہیں ہے) اس لیے ہم اُن لوگوں کو جو ہم سے ملنے کی توقع نہیں رکھتے اُن کی سرکشی میں بھٹکنے کے لیے چھُوٹ دے دیتے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اگر اللہ لوگوں پر برائی ایسی جلدبھیجتا جیسی وہ بھلائی کی جلدی کرتے ہیں تو ان کا وعدہ پورا ہوچکا ہوتا تو ہم چھوڑتے انہیں جو ہم سے ملنے کی امید نہیں رکھتے کہ اپنی سرکشی میں بھٹکا کریں - Ahmed Raza

اگر خدا لوگوں کو نقصان پہنچانے میں اس طرح جلدی کرتا جس طرح یہ لوگ اپنی بھلائی کے لئے جلدی کرتے ہیں یعنی اگر ہر برائی کا برا نتیجہ فوراً سامنے آجاتا تو ان کی مدت (عمر) کبھی کی پوری ہو چکی ہوتی مگر ہمارے قانون (سزا میں ڈھیل ہے) اس لئے ہم تو ان لوگوں کو بھی اپنی سرکشیوں میں بھٹکنے کے لئے چھوڑ دیتے ہیں جو مرنے کے بعد ہماری بارگاہ میں حضوری کی امید نہیں رکھتے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَإِذَا مَسَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ ٱلضُّرُّ دَعَانَا لِجَنۢبِهِۦٓ أَوْ قَاعِدًا أَوْ قَآئِمًۭا فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُ ضُرَّهُۥ مَرَّ كَأَن لَّمْ يَدْعُنَآ إِلَىٰ ضُرٍّۢ مَّسَّهُۥ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And if misfortune touch a man he crieth unto Us, (while reclining) on his side, or sitting or standing, but when We have relieved him of the misfortune he goeth his way as though he had not cried unto Us because of a misfortune that afflicted him. Thus is what they do made (seeming) fair unto the prodigal. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When distress befalls man, he supplicates Us, [lying] on his side, sitting, or standing; but when We remove his distress, he passes on as if he had never supplicated Us concerning the distress that had befallen him. What they have been doing is thus presented as decorous to the transgressors. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
When the human being is affected by hardship, he starts to pray while lying on his side, sitting or standing, but when We relieve him from hardship, he starts to act as though he had never prayed to Us to save him from the misfortune. This is how transgressors' deeds are made attractive to them. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when affliction touches a man, he calls on Us, whether lying on his side or sitting or standing; but when We remove his affliction from him, he passes on as though he had never called on Us on account of an affliction that touched him; thus that which they do is made fair-seeming to the extravagant. - Shakir, Habib

Whenever any trouble befalls a person, he prays to Us all the time, lying on his side, sitting or standing; but when We remove his trouble, he goes on his way as if he had never prayed to Us for the removal of his trouble. Thus it is that the doings of the transgressors are made to look fair to them. - Wahiduddin Khan

انسان کو جب کوئی نقصان پہنچتا ہے تو اٹھتے بیٹھتے کروٹیں بدلتے ہم کو پکارتا ہے اور جب ہم اس نقصان کو دور کردیتے ہیں تو یوں گزر جاتا ہے جیسے کبھی کسی مصیبت میں ہم کو پکارا ہی نہیں تھا بیشک زیادتی کرنے والوں کے اعمال یوں ہی ان کے سامنے آراستہ کردئیے جاتے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

انسان کا حال یہ ہے کہ جب اس پر کوئی سخت وقت آتا ہے تو کھڑے اور بیٹھے اور لیٹے ہم کو پکارتا ہے، مگر جب ہم اس کی مصیبت ٹال دیتے ہیں تو ایسا چل نکلتا ہے کہ گویا اس نے کبھی اپنے کسی بُرے وقت پر ہم کو پکارا ہی نہ تھا اس طرح حد سے گزر جانے والوں کے لیے ان کے کرتوت خوشنما بنا دیے گئے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جب آدمی کو تکلیف پہنچتی ہے ہمیں پکارتا ہے لیٹے اور بیٹھے اور کھڑے پھر جب ہم اس کی تکلیف دور کردیتے ہیں چل دیتا ہے گویا کبھی کسی تکلیف کے پہنچنے پر ہمیں پکارا ہی نہ تھا یونہی بھلے کر دکھائے ہیں حد سے بڑھنے والے کو ان کے کام - Ahmed Raza

جب انسان کو کوئی تکلیف پہنچتی ہے تو وہ کروٹ کے بل لیٹے یا بیٹھے یا کھڑے ہوئے (ہر حال میں) ہمیں پکارتا ہے اور جب ہم اس کی تکلیف دور کر دیتے ہیں تو وہ اس طرح (منہ موڑ کے) چل دیتا ہے جیسے اس نے کسی تکلیف میں جو اسے پہنچی تھی کبھی ہمیں پکارا ہی نہ تھا اسی طرح حد سے گزرنے والوں کے لیے ان کے وہ عمل خوشنما بنا دیئے گئے ہیں جو وہ کرتے رہے ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا ٱلْقُرُونَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَمَّا ظَلَمُوا۟ ۙ وَجَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ لِيُؤْمِنُوا۟ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

We destroyed the generations before you when they did wrong; and their messengers (from Allah) came unto them with clear proofs (of His Sovereignty) but they would not believe. Thus do We reward the guilty folk. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Certainly We destroyed generations before you when they perpetrated wrongs: their apostles brought them manifest proofs, but they would not have faith. Thus do We requite the guilty lot. - Qarai, Ali Quli

We destroyed certain generations who lived before you because of their injustice. Our Messengers came to them and showed them miracles, but they would not believe. Thus do We punish the criminals. - Sarwar, Muhammad

لوگو، تم سے پہلے کی قوموں کو (جو اپنے اپنے زمانہ میں برسر عروج تھیں) ہم نے ہلاک کر دیا جب انہوں نے ظلم کی روش اختیار کی اور اُن کے رسُول اُن کے پاس کھُلی کھُلی نشانیاں لے کر آئے اور انہوں نے ایمان لا کر ہی نہ دیا اس طرح ہم مجرموں کو ان کے جرائم کا بدلہ دیا کرتے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور بیشک ہم نے تم سے پہلی سنگتیں (قومیں) ہلاک فرمادیں جب وہ حد سے بڑھے اور ان کے رسول ان کے پاس روشن دلیلیں لے کر آئے اور وہ ایسے تھے ہی نہیں کہ ایمان لاتے، ہم یونہی بدلہ دیتے ہیں مجرموں کو، - Ahmed Raza

And whenever
تُتْلَىٰ
are recited
عَلَيْهِمْ
upon them
ءَايَاتُنَا
Our signs
بَيِّنَٰتٍۢ
that bring clarity,
ۙ
قَالَ
said
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
لَا
do not
يَرْجُونَ
have expectation
لِقَآءَنَا
for meeting Us,
ٱئْتِ
[Come
بِقُرْءَانٍ
with a proclamation
غَيْرِ
other than
هَٰذَآ
this,
أَوْ
or
بَدِّلْهُ
change it.]
ۚ
قُلْ
Say,
مَا
Not
يَكُونُ
it is
لِىٓ
for me
أَنْ
that
أُبَدِّلَهُۥ
I change it
مِن
from
تِلْقَآئِ
understanding of
نَفْسِىٓ
my own;
ۖ
إِنْ
indeed
أَتَّبِعُ
I follow
إِلَّا
nothing but
مَا
what is
يُوحَىٰٓ
inspired
إِلَىَّ
to me;
ۖ
إِنِّىٓ
I am indeed
أَخَافُ
fearful
إِنْ
of
عَصَيْتُ
rebelling against
رَبِّى
my Rabb, of
عَذَابَ
punishment of
يَوْمٍ
a day
عَظِيمٍۢ
that is mighty.]

١٥
وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَاتُنَا بَيِّنَٰتٍۢ ۙ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا ٱئْتِ بِقُرْءَانٍ غَيْرِ هَٰذَآ أَوْ بَدِّلْهُ ۚ قُلْ مَا يَكُونُ لِىٓ أَنْ أُبَدِّلَهُۥ مِن تِلْقَآئِ نَفْسِىٓ ۖ إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ ۖ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّى عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍۢ And whenever are recited upon them Our signs that bring clarity, said the ones who do not have expectation for meeting Us, [Come with a proclamation other than this, or change it.] Say, Not it is for me that I change it from understanding of my own; indeed I follow nothing but what is inspired to me; I am indeed fearful of rebelling against my Rabb, of punishment of a day that is mighty.]

And when Our clear revelations are recited unto them, they who look not for the meeting with Us say: Bring a Lecture other than this, or change it. Say (O Muhammad): It is not for me to change it of my accord. I only follow that which is inspired in me. Lo! if I disobey my Lord I fear the retribution of an awful Day. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When Our manifest signs are recited to them, those who do not expect to encounter Us say, [Bring a Quran other than this, or alter it.] Say, [I may not alter it of my own accord. I follow only what is revealed to me. Indeed should I disobey my Lord, I fear the punishment of a tremendous day.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Whenever Our authoritative revelations are recited to those who do not wish to meet Us in the life hereafter, say, [Bring us another book besides this one or change it.] (Muhammad), tell them, [I can not change it myself. I only follow what is revealed to me. I fear that for disobeying my Lord I shall be punished on the great (Day of Judgment). - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when Our clear communications are recited to them, those who hope not for Our meeting say: Bring a Quran other than this or change it. Say: It does not beseem me that I should change it of myself; I follow naught but what is revealed to me; surely I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the punishment of a mighty day. - Shakir, Habib

When Our clear revelations are recited to them, those who do not expect to meet Us say, [Bring us a different Quran, or make some changes in it.] Say, [It is not for me to change it of my own accord. I follow only what is revealed to me. I fear, if I were to disobey my Lord, the punishment on a Dreadful Day.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جب ان کے سامنے ہماری آیات کی تلاوت کی جاتی ہے تو جن لوگوں کو ہماری ملاقات کی امید نہیں ہے وہ کہتے ہیں کہ اس کے علاوہ کوئی دوسرا قرآن لائیے یا اسی کو بدل دیجئے تو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ مجھے اپنی طرف سے بدلنے کا کوئی اختیار نہیں ہے میں تو صرف اس امر کا اتباع کرتا ہوں جس کی میری طرف وحی کی جاتی ہے میں اپنے پروردگار کی نافرمانی کروں تو مجھے ایک بڑے عظےم دن کے عذاب کا خوف ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

جب انہیں ہماری صاف صاف باتیں سُنائی جاتی ہیں تو وہ لوگ جو ہم سے ملنے کی توقع نہیں رکھتے، کہتے ہیں کہ “اِس کے بجائے کوئی اور قرآن لاؤ یا اس میں کچھ ترمیم کرو —— اے محمدؐ، ان سے کہو “میرا یہ کام نہیں ہے کہ اپنی طرف سے اس میں کوئی تغیر و تبّدل کر لوں میں تو بس اُس وحی کا پیرو ہوں جو میرے پاس بھیجی جاتی ہے اگر میں اپنے رب کی نافرمانی کروں تو مجھے ایک بڑے ہولناک دن کے عذاب کا ڈر ہے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جب ان پر ہماری روشن آیتیں پڑھی جاتی ہیں تو وہ کہنے لگتے ہیں جنہیں ہم سے ملنے کی امید نہیں کہ اس کے سوا اور قرآن لے آیئے یا اسی کو بدل دیجیے تم فرماؤ مجھے نہیں پہنچتا کہ میں اسے اپنی طرف سے بدل دوں میں تو اسی کا تابع ہوں جو میری طرف وحی ہوتی ہے میں اگر اپنے رب کی نافرمانی کروں تو مجھے بڑے دن کے عذاب کا ڈر ہے - Ahmed Raza

اور جب انہیں ہماری آیاتِ بینات (واضح آیتیں) پڑھ کر سنائی جاتی ہیں تو جو لوگ مرنے کے بعد ہماری بارگاہ میں حاضری کی توقع نہیں رکھتے وہ کہتے ہیں کہ اس کے علاوہ کوئی اور قرآن لاؤ یا اس میں رد و بدل کر دو۔ آپ کہہ دیجیے! کہ مجھے یہ حق نہیں ہے کہ میں اپنی طرف سے اس میں کچھ رد و بدل کر دوں! میں تو بس اسی کی پیروی کرتا ہوں جو میری طرف وحی کی جاتی ہے اگر میں اپنے پروردگار کی نافرمانی کروں تو میں ایک بڑے دن کے عذاب سے ڈرتا ہوں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Say: If Allah had so willed I should not have recited it to you nor would He have made it known to you. I dwelt among you a whole lifetime before it (came to me). Have ye then no sense? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Say, [Had Allah [so] wished, I would not have recited it to you, nor would He have made it known to you, for I have dwelled among you for a lifetime before it. Do you not exercise your reason?] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
(Muhammad), tell them, [Had God wanted I would not have recited it (the Book) to you nor would I have told you anything about it. I lived among you for a whole life-time before it was revealed. Will you then not understand? - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
Say: If Allah had desired (otherwise) I would not have recited it to you, nor would He have taught it to you; indeed I have lived a lifetime among you before it; do you not then understand? - Shakir, Habib

Say, [If God had so wished, I would not have recited it to you, nor would He have brought it to your knowledge. Indeed, I have spent a whole lifetime among you before it came to me. How can you not use your reason?] - Wahiduddin Khan

آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ اگر خدا چاہتا تو میں تمہارے سامنے تلاوت نہ کرتا اور تمہیں اس کی اطلاع بھی نہ کرتا -آخر میں اس سے پہلے بھی تمہارے درمیان ایک مدت تک رہ چکا ہوں تو کیا تمہارے پاس اتنی عقل بھی نہیں ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور کہو “اگر اللہ کی مشیّت نہ ہوتی تو میں یہ قرآن تمہیں کبھی نہ سناتا اور اللہ تمہیں اس کی خبر تک نہ دیتا آخر اس سے پہلے میں ایک عمر تمہارے درمیان گزار چکا ہوں، کیا تم عقل سے کام نہیں لیتے؟ - Maududi, Abul A'ala

فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ Thus who does more injustice than who invented upon the One a lie or lied about His signs? Indeed He not gives success to the criminals.

Who doeth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie concerning Allah and denieth His revelations? Lo! the guilty never are successful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

So who is a greater wrongdoer than him who fabricates a lie against Allah, or denies His signs? Indeed the guilty will not be felicitous. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Who is more unjust than one who invents falsehood against God or calls His revelations lies? The criminals will certainly have no happiness. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Who is then more unjust than who forges a lie against Allah or (who) gives the lie to His communications? Surely the guilty shall not be successful. - Shakir, Habib

And they are slaves of
مِن

دُونِ
that which is beneath
ٱللَّهِ
the One
مَا
what
لَا
not
يَضُرُّهُمْ
harms them
وَلَا
and not
يَنفَعُهُمْ
benefits them,
وَيَقُولُونَ
and they assert,
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
[These are the ones who
شُفَعَٰٓؤُنَا
mediate for us
عِندَ
in front of
ٱللَّهِ
the One.]
ۚ
قُلْ
Say,
أَتُنَبِّـُٔونَ
[Are you informing
ٱللَّهَ
the One
بِمَا
with that which
لَا
not
يَعْلَمُ
He knows
فِى
in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens
وَلَا
and not (He knows)
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the land?]
ۚ
سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ
Glory be to Him,
وَتَعَٰلَىٰ
and superior is
عَمَّا
above what
يُشْرِكُونَ
they attribute (to Him).
١٠
١٨
وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ شُفَعَٰٓؤُنَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَتُنَبِّـُٔونَ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا لَا يَعْلَمُ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ And they are slaves of from that which is beneath the One what not harms them and not benefits them, and they assert, [These are the ones who mediate for us in front of the One.] Say, [Are you informing the One with that which not He knows in the heavens and not (He knows) in the land?] Glory be to Him, and superior is above what they attribute (to Him).

They worship beside Allah that which neither hurteth them nor profiteth them, and they say: These are our intercessors with Allah. Say: Would ye inform Allah of (something) that He knoweth not in the heavens or in the earth? Praised be He and High Exalted above all that ye associate (with Him)! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They worship besides Allah that which neither causes them any harm, nor brings them any benefit, and they say, [These are our intercessors with Allah.] Say, [Will you inform Allah about something He does not know in the heavens or on the earth?] Immaculate is He and exalted above [having] any partners that they ascribe [to Him]! - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Some people) worship things other than God which harm nor benefit them. They say, [These (idols) are our intercessors before God.] (Muhammad), tell them, [Are you trying to tell God about something that He does not find in the heavens or earth? God is too Glorious to be considered equal to idols.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

And they serve beside Allah what can neither harm them nor profit them, and they say: These are our intercessors with Allah. Say: Do you (presume to) inform Allah of what He knows not in the heavens and the earth? Glory be to Him, and supremely exalted is He above what they set up (with Him). - Shakir, Habib

Instead of God they worship what neither harms nor benefits them, and they say: [These are our intercessors with God.] Say, [Do you inform God about something in heavens and on earth that He does not know? Glory be to Him; may He be Exalted over whatever they associate [with Him]!] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور یہ لوگ خدا کو چھوڑ کر ان کی پرستش کرتے ہیں جو نہ نقصان پہنچاسکتے ہیں اور نہ فائدہ اور یہ لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ یہ خدا کے یہاں ہماری سفارش کرنے والے ہیں تو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ تم تو خدا کو اس بات کو اطلاع کررہے ہو جس کا علم اسے آسمان و زمین میں کہیں نہیں ہے وہ پاک و پاکیزہ ہے اور ان کے شرک سے بلند و برتر ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یہ لوگ اللہ کے سوا اُن کی پرستش کر رہے ہیں جو ان کو نہ نقصان پہنچا سکتے ہیں نہ نفع، اور کہتے یہ ہیں کہ یہ اللہ کے ہاں ہمارے سفارشی ہیں اے محمدؐ، ان سے کہو “کیا تم اللہ کو اُس بات کی خبر دیتے ہو جسے وہ نہ آسمانوں میں جانتا ہے نہ زمین میں؟—— پاک ہے وہ اور بالا و برتر ہے اُس شرک سے جو یہ لوگ کرتے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اللہ کے سوا ایسی چیز کو پوجتے ہیں جو ان کا کچھ بھلا نہ کرے اور کہتے ہیں کہ یہ اللہ کے یہاں ہمارے سفارشی ہیں تم فرماؤ کیا اللہ کو وہ بات بتاتے ہو جو اس کے علم میں نہ آسمانوں میں ہے نہ زمین میں اسے پاکی اور برتری ہے ان کے شرک سے، - Ahmed Raza

یہ لوگ اللہ کو چھوڑ کر ایسی چیزوں کی عبادت کرتے ہیں جو نہ انہیں نقصان پہنچا سکتی ہیں اور نہ فائدہ اور کہتے ہیں کہ یہ اللہ کے ہاں ہمارے سفارشی ہیں (اے رسول(ص)) تم کہو۔ کیا تم اللہ کو اس چیز کی اطلاع دیتے ہو جو خود اسے نہ آسمانوں میں معلوم ہے اور نہ زمین میں۔ پاک ہے اس کی ذات اور بلند و بالا ہے اس شرک سے جو یہ لوگ کر رہے ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
